((Maybe another 2 day one? It'd let them get a little further along the journey. Maybe they can start encountering stuff like a thunderpath or two and whatnot, as I feel like they'll probably encounter a small twolegplace somewhere if it's not the one around the new territory (Or is, I'm leaving that for you to decide if ya like). And sure, just give me a reminder of what's left, because I can't remember exactly what needs to be finished up))

I'm still alive btw! :O Or trying to be.
I think this bumped off my participation tab. I don't think the others are coming back though. I've been waiting for a RP reply from someone (Since I was the last one to do one iirc) and it's been too long.
Maybe there can be a call for new members or something? I wanna get back into RPing again, preferably with more active members. x.x

Well then we just gotta get new joiners!! For now, timeskip to two days later))
Clearfang was tired, and he was sure others were as well. In the distance though, he saw a cluster of trees and his eyes brightens as he gestured to them. "Come on everyone, we'll rest there." He sped up a bit, happy at the thought of getting some prey.

Honeyleaf padded alongside Clearfang at a tail-length distance, his green eyes dull and tail dragging with exhaustion after wandering for what felt like days with seemingly no promise of a permanent home. He can't even remember how long it's been since they left the lake anymore. He followed Clearfang's gaze, eyes widening at the cluster of green trees in the distance. "That looks rather promising." He mewled curiously. Lilypaw pranced on. Ever since Clearrain mentioned that she could practice her skills to train to be a Warrior on the way, she had been stubborn in catching whatever she could find. In the past two days, she caught a mouse and a bird, which she had snatched out of the air. Now giddy as usual, she skipped along humming a tune. With a happy squeak she ran ahead, excited. Reedwillow looked like he was about ready to pass out, and Hollyfall yawned with tiredness, but she pushed on as well. "That's Great" Reedwillow muttered. "All that walking has me beat. I can barely feel my paws.." "Please. You complain too much for your own good, you're fine." Hollyfall chimed, though another yawn betrayed her exhaustion as well.

Clearfang heard everyone muttering about their tiredness and a yawn racked his body as well. "Come on everyone We've made it this far. Once we get there we can rest for the rest of today and camp there tonight then head out tomorrow again."
Blizzardpaw trudged along, his ears and tail down and his eyes drooping with exhaustion as he fought his hardest to stay awake, though he was stumbling now and then.
Jadeclaw and Coontail were helping each other stay awake, idly chatting and sometimes nudging each other softly.
Spottedlegs padded along with Spottedpath at the back of the group, both still awake and alert as they were more worried about the safety of the group than catching some sleep.
Clearrain padded along by Lilypaw, her tail down showing her exhaustion but her spirit still strong and her pawsteps sure. "Once we get there we'll do some hunting Lilypaw and after a bit of rest I'll help you with your fighting too."

(Hope you had a good Merry Christmas! Had to get my rp muse back)
Honeyleaf didn't say anything more, but his paws went into a trot, and before anyone knew, the tom was breaking into a run, hoping the wind blowing through his fur would give him a spare boost of energy.
Reedwillow yowled at the cream tom sprinting off. "H-Hey, wait for us first you Minnow-brain!" He shook his head and padded to Clearfang's side for a second. "I'm praying by the ancestors that he doesn't wear the rest of us out getting our hopes up. Honeyleaf's acted this way the last time we took a rest." He retorted sharply, before dropping back with the others.
Lilypaw simply tilted her head with a flick of her ears to signal she heard Clearrain. Idly she watched the area around them. The grasses were green and the air smelled crisp, with a hint of mouse or bird once more. She could come back to the clearing later to make another catch or two, Lilypaw thought.

Clearfang laughed lightly but said nothing, just watching as the other tom sped off with a smile on his face.
Clearrain chuckled lightly and bumped Lilypaw with her shoulder. "Hey, you're supposed to answer your mentor young lady."

(Got my RP drive back! Also I might drawn Honeyleaf in my spare time. I'll show him some time later, but for now I'm heading off a bit, eyestrain's killing me. xwx')
Hollyfall eyed Clearfang as he watched Honeyleaf speed off into the distance. "Ya know Clearfang..." She was padding right behind the orange and black tom now as they padded along, a gleam shone bright in her eyes. "I noticed Honeyleaf has been hanging around you a lot since we left the lake. And you don't object to it too much. What's going on there?" She glanced back at the rest of the group, and mewled cheekily back at them over her shoulder so they can hear. "Because it almost seems like our leader is getting cozy with the Medicine Cat to me."
Lilypaw shook her head at Hollyfall's nosiness, then nearly toppled as Clearrain bumped her, only for her to bump her with her shoulder right back. "Oh alright, if ya must insist." She lolled her head to one side before giving a slight skip, then started to slow down a tad. "Fighting has never been my strongest suit though.. I'm so clumsy and all. Sometimes the apprentices would laugh because I would fall muzzle-first into a mouse hole." Lilypaw twitched her whiskers wryly, before glancing at Clearrain beside her with an embarrassed gaze. "You uh... won't laugh if I trip on my paws, right?"

Clearfang felt his ears heat up at the she-cat's question and his tail lashed behind him to cover up his embarrassment at the question. "W-What are you talking about? Honeyleaf has just been around me because he wants to. Nothing more to it." Though I do wish there was more. He cast the thought out before looking back at the other. "Anyways, who said I was the leader?"
Clearrain laughed lightly before shaking her head, her eyes shining bright. "I wouldn't laugh at you. Everyone stumbles when they're training, it's normal. You just have to get use to the movements and such and then everything will be fine." She looked down at the other out of the corner of her eye. "Anyways, the most I would laugh at is how adorable you probably are when you fall."

Hollyfall had a look in her eyes that said that she didn't believe Clearfang entirely, and the black-and-white she-cat only hummed. "Mmhm, suuure there isn't. I'm just sayin', I've seen the way you look at him." "Well... aaanyways, you're the only one we can call "leader" of the group, Clearfang." Reedwillow spoke up from the back, shaking his glossy fur out in an attempt to change the topic to something less potentially awkward. "You were the first to stand up to those fox-hearts back at the lake, you decide when and where we go and we follow. And to be honest, you're more of a leader than most cats I know."
Lilypaw was sniffing at a flower here and a blade of grass there as she listened. The tortie couldn't help but lower her head bashfully. She knew it was normal to stumble here or there, but as much as she did? Either way she was glad Clearrain promised not to laugh. What actually got her fur threatening to fluff up however was the comment she made afterwards. She thinks my clumsiness is cute? It took every bit to not puff up like a pinecone at the thought, and only mewled shyly while averting her gaze. "Now you're just saying that to be nice..."
Honeyleaf was staring up at the trees now, his big ears perked. He had made it long before the others did and was soon pacing back and forth despite his sore pads. These trees looked more than just a simple copses they came across, and he opened his mouth to catch a fair array of prey scents on his tongue thanks to the breeze. "Come on slow-pokes!" He called. "The faster you get here the faster we can check this spot out."

Clearfang shook his head, his ears going hot again. "No... there isn't anything." He huffed, making sure not to turn to them so they wouldn't see the embarrassment in his gaze. "Are you guys really saying the truth? I never really... saw myself as a leader. I've always had really low self-confidence because...well... I look like a she-cat." Soon the group were approaching the woods and Clearfang just shook his head at Honeyleaf, a small smile crossing his features as he neared the other tom. "Maybe you should've stayed with the rest of the group instead of rushing off? That's dangerous you know and I- I mean we don't want you getting hurt."
--
Clearrain chuckled lightly before shaking her head. "No, I'm telling the truth really." She noticed the others bashfulness and nuzzled her softly. "What, am I making you embarrassed little sugar drop?" The she-cat's eyes were bright and she began purring, enjoying being around the apprentice.

(Pardon me for a second but I internally shrieked when Clearrain called Lilypaw sugar drop. That's adorable as heck.)
"So you happen to look prettier than other toms, I never saw the problem with that personally. You don't show to be a pushover or anything, ya know, like me." Reedwillow trailed one of his large paws on the ground, looking unsure of himself as usual. "And I guess I mean it, I'd rather follow you any day than say... Hollyfall, who isn't exactly the most modest... and I'm not really the kind to lead myself. There's pressure." "Hey! I heard that!" The black bicolor she-cat hissed in indignation to that, making the ginger tom flinch. "Well... I guess he makes a point. Others don't really call me 'leader material'." She muttered.
Honeyleaf stopped his pacing as the group caught up, and shifted his paws as he was chided. "Sorry guys, I guess I'm just tired of all the walking. I keep getting my hopes up and all." The cream tom lowered his gaze. He wasn't sure, but he thought he caught Clearfang cut himself off. "Well that's sweet of you all to be so concerned," The "all" was given emphasis, but Honeyleaf kept his green gaze intent on Clearfang. "If you're so worried, maybe I should stay close so that you can always see me." He purred subtly. "And what's this talk about leadership?"
Lilypaw felt as if her fur was bristling as her ears went hotter. "N-No, you're not making me embarrassed at all." She lied, whisking her tail to throw her energy out somewhere. "Well... maybe a little, but not in like... a bad way or anything." The apprentice glanced side to side hoping nobody was looking at the moment, before shifting closer to Clearrain, she felt her nuzzle her, and the tortie swallowed her breath to keep her voice steady and low. "But I can't wait to train some more with you. It'd be fun! And we'll get to hang out a lot, which is nice too."

Clearfang looked away at Honeyleaf's words before clearing his throat and turning around to the group. "We'll cap here for a few days to get our strength back. Go ahead and hunt and rest, be sure to stay close so that no one gets lost. First though, lets find a temporary camp." He nodded curtly and led the way into the trees, he didn't really have to go far until found a semi large clearing with thick bushes surrounding it. "This looks good, we'll use this."
--
Clearrain felt her ears go back a bit at the she-cat's words that it wasn't in a bad way and now it was her turn to have her ears heat up. "So, if it's not a bad way then what exactly are you becoming embarrassed about when I compliment you? Or call you sugar drop." Clearrain chuckled lightly to hide her own fluster and after followed Clearfang into the clearing she sat down immediately, her paws tired.

(I live! The rp drive was sorta down)
While everyone else was getting settled, Reedwillow took a quick glance at Clearrain and Lilypaw, before looking around to spot Blizzardpaw not too far away. He's the only other apprentice here from the looks of it. I don't know if he was in-training in the past but... Padding slowly to the younger cat, he cleared his throat to get his attention. "You know Blizzardpaw, ever since we left the lake I just remembered that you don't really have a mentor. I'm not sure if you had one before, but I was just wondering if uh.." The red tom trailed a paw on the grass for a second. "Perhaps I... could be your mentor for now? If you want that is, I just figured you wouldn't want to be left behind while Lilypaw gets her training." The tom gave a brief nod towards the two she-cats.

Hi. I back from my rp break and my rp drive is back and in full!! I'm ready for some DRAMA!!!!!))
Blizzardpaw looked up sharply, not use to others wanting to talk to him. "Uh-um... are you sure you... want to be around me? I'm... strange." He looked down, his mind bustling with everything that had been done to him at his old clan.

Reedwillow's blue eyes seeming to blaze at Blizzardpaw for the briefest moment, having a feeling he knew what he was referring to, he was at the Gathering to hear everything and all, all the whispers. He padded to the younger cat's side and sat down, resting his plumy tail on his shoulders. "You're not strange, you're just..." He started, hoping he can word what he wanted to say properly. "A little different. I don't think you're strange for wanting to be the way you want to be." He averted his eyes for a bit, unsure if that was the right thing to say, but shook himself and kept going. "Clearfang think's he's weird for his own reasons, but you don't see me whispering about him do you? I really don't care how you're born, I didn't at Riverclan and I still don't. Those that did and acted like fox-hearts about it, well they're gone now, and you won't have to hear from them ever again."
Meanwhile Hollyfall was off, positioned as if she wanted to pounce. "Hey Spottedpath, Spottedlegs, watch this." She mewled at the she-cat and tom, then leaped, latching onto the lowest branch with claws extended. Gaining her footing on the bark, she launched herself higher... and higher, making leaves flutter down until she was the highest she could climb on a swaying branch. Her pupils went huge in her green eyes as she took in the view. "Woah, I think I can see the lake from up here. Come on up, it's actually rather pretty." Honeyleaf was then heard under her, yowling in distress. "Oh by the ancestors, get down from there now rabbit-brain!"

Spottedpath and Spottedlegs looked over, both having been in their own world and quiet as was usual from the two. "Don't hurt yourself." Spottedlegs idly said before standing and stretching, disappearing into the brush to hunt after a few moments. Spottedpath remained where she was ad laid her head back on her paws, dozing off.
Clearfang padded over slowly and let out a slight laugh before nudging Honeyleaf. "Come on, don't be a let down. We all could use some fun." He then jumped up onto the tree after the other, wincing slightly from the wound on his paw. Once he reached Hollyfall he smiled widely and took in the view, letting the sunlight cast its glow over him as he breathed in deeply. "All of this was just waiting for us to find it, I know it was."

Honeyleaf lashed his long tail in worry. "I know, but what if..." His chest felt a twinge as he watched Clearfang climb the tree too, hoping his paw wouldn't hurt him more, but let out a sigh as that wasn't the case. Unfortunately the cream tom wasn't much of a climber himself, he preferred running the moors and knew jack about climbing trees. So he kept to the ground and yowled again, "What's it look like up there?" Hollyfall was a little disappointed that Spottedpath and Spottedlegs didn't seem all that interested, but at least Clearfang was. Oh well, they're missing out, she thought. Hollyfall pointed with her white tipped tail to the field not too far from the trees edge. "I'll say... Man, look at that meadow. Honeyleaf would love it." She turned to the cluster of treetops, wondering what lies ahead deeper in as she balanced on the shaky branch. "It'll be nice to be under lots of forest again, and to maybe finally sleep in a proper den."
"We should go deeper in!" Lilypaw mewled with excitement to Clearrain, overhearing them. "Explore the place, see what else is here and look for a permanent camp. And I can show ya my hunting skills in actual undergrowth this time for once." With a skip, she pranced around the she-cat. Her peppiness was really showing now, more than eager to scan the area. "You can come with me Clearrain if ya want, it'll be fun. This... it could be the place I could get my Warrior name!" Like a hyperactive rabbit, she up and bolted off into the trees, already relishing their cover.

Clearrain was about to say something when Clearfang lashed his tail, causing the leaves the rustle loudly and she looked up at him. The rest of my cats looked over at him as well as he made his way down the tree and landed back on the ground almost angrily. "No, Hollyfall was correct. I could see the lake from up there which shows we're still too close to the old clans. If they need more land what happens the? We'll get challenged for it and then driven away once more and I'm sure none of us wish for that. So we will not be staying here, we'll go on. Everyone eat and get water, we leave soon."

Post by Brindlefern on Mar 15, 2019 20:52:09 GMT -5
Hollyfall's mouth gaped astonished. "But but... Huh?" She stammered. "This place looks perfect! What makes you think they'll come all the way out here to look for us?" The trees' branches shook from under her again as she watched him descend, but the black-and-white cat was stuck to her spot like roots. "No way, I walked until my paws felt like they was gonna literally fall off, ya ain't getting me down from here!" She hissed defiantly and sat stiff.
Honeyleaf looked just as baffled, trying to keep his back from bristling in indignation. "I don't recall them ever wanting to leave their territories any time soon, we just need to find a well-hidden spot to make came and set up territory, don't we?" Well, no, that would be pointless if they were to get invaded, but that wasn't too likely either, and Honeyleaf wasn't fond of the idea of walking so much in vain hope either. He was so excited to settle, his eyes were pleading. "Clearfang, we're all exhausted, I don't even know if I can go another quarter moon meandering around with no home. Why would our former clans even come all the way out here in the first place, THEY'RE not the ones being driven out!"
Reedwillow heard too, his ears drooping. Without much protest and a sigh, he muttered. "Guess I'll go get Lilypaw." He stood to pad off, but not before glancing back at Blizzardpaw. "Um, think about my offer, will you Blizzardpaw? If you want of course." With that, he went off in the shrubbery to look for the hyper apprentice.

Clearfang lashed his tail and looked around, his mind buzzing. He thought of the clans, what his own clanmates had put him through. He had spoken with Blizzardpaw and knew of what they had gone through too. How many of them had been hurt, disrespected, and pushed away by the clan they had always called home? "Do you really want to stay this close to those... things. Those that hurt us, pushed us away, disrespected who we truly are. The further we are from them the better, I'm not going to stay near them... not after what I was put through. If any of you wish to stay here then go ahead, but I'm going to stay near a group of cats that has already moved its lands several time before and has driven out not only us but so many others. Those who want to follow me and get away from them... meet me at the edge of the woods at sunrise, that'll give you a full night to rest." With that the tom turned and slid away into the brush, his two-toned fur disappearing among the greenery until he was just gone, headed toward the eastern edge of the woods and further from the clans.
Spottedpath stared after him but didn't move, unsure what to think currently.
Blizzardpaw nodded, agreeing with Clearfang as he did not want to be near the clans either. The tom stood and shook his fur out before rushing after the other and into the brush.
The rest of my cats sat silently, unsure of what to do.

Honeyleaf stared at Clearfang despairingly as he vanished into the woods, unsure if he should go after him. He was tired of padding on and on, he had got his hopes up, and the place was unfortunately just a lil' too close to their past. But at the same time... Would Clearfang really leave them there if they didn't join him? He felt that strange twinge in his chest grow stronger at the thought. "I don't wanna stay near those that hurt me." He mewled softly to the rest of the group that was still there. "But I don't think they'll try to find us either... I also promised him I'd follow him, but I'm also exhausted. Maybe I just need some rest and think, yes, that sounds alright, just for a little bit." Muttering to himself, the tom circled and lay on the grass.
Hollyfall didn't seem keen of moving from her spot, though her fur smoothed down now and was watching the greenery rustle as Blizzardpaw followed, the choice to stay in the tree or go battled in her head despite her words. Reedwillow returned with Lilypaw, who was much more subdued now. She had a shrew hanging in her mouth, and tried to smile at Clearrain for the catch, though her dragging tail said otherwise. "We're leaving?" She then asked, now looking akin to an upset kit.
"Well, I'm going with them." Meowed Reedwillow, shifting his paws uncertainly. "I'm sorry guys, but there's no way I'll survive out here on my own, I'm no rogue. And I don't exactly like the idea of being near or going back to those that hated me enough to banish me either. May Starclan... or whoever's guiding us anymore, keep you safe." With that, he padded after the two toms, his vibrant red tabby fur easily flashing in the leaves at first, then vanishing.

Spottedpath returned shortly after with a squirrel, padding over to Spottedlegs and letting the tom fill her in. Once she had heard the news the she-cat stood and just as quickly as she had came, left, going in the direction the others had gone. Spottedlegs sat for several moments, unsure of what to do.
Jadeclaw shifted uneasily and looked around, his mind in shambles and his anxiety rising. He decided to speak with Sapphirefeather, wanting to know her opinion on this. "Hey Saphirefeather. What... what do you think we should do?"
Coontail looked around with vacant eyes, his bubbly personality gone as his mind constricted on itself to think about the events that were now occurring.

Honeyleaf had his eyes closed in a very light sleep, every few seconds stretching out his numb paws. Lilypaw was looking at the ferns where the other cats went, but also turned her head to those she was still with. Her gaze was stuck on Clearrain, her paw idly toying on the meager bit of prey she caught. "You're coming with m-" She caught herself and fixed it. "Us... right Clearrain?" The tortie asked, just as unsure as the rest of them.
In the midst of it all, Hollyfall's mew broke through the troubled silence. "Uh, guys? Can I have some help getting down from here?" She had her claws hooked in the somewhat thin branch up in the tree she situated on, attempting to look down at the remaining cats around there, it seemed she changed her mind on sticking to her post if it meant avoiding abandonment. She wasn't really scared of heights, but Hollyfall had the leaves obscure her view of the ground. She stared at the group, thankfully for her they couldn't see her prickly tufted fur fluffing up a little more.

Fine by me. BRING THE DRAMA!!!!))
Clearrain looked over at Lilypaw before letting a small smile grace her features. Her sleek fur moved softly over her muscles as the she-cat shifted and turned to the brush where the others had gone. "I will follow Clearfang. He is a wise cat who holds a strength inside that is just now beginning to reveal itself. I'm no loner, nor am I someone to turn my back on someone who has done good for me. Will you come with us too Lilypaw? With me?" She looked back at the other, her eyes shining with nothing but affection for the other. (Swoons)
Coontail looked up as he heard Hollyfall's asking of help. With quick pawsteps the to was suddenly up the tree, sitting on a lower branch and holding the leaves aside so the other could see where to put her paws. "Come on, I got ya Hollyfall." Truly, Coontail was a very good climber, one of the best among his old clan though he hadn't climbed freely till now.

Lilypaw blinked, her heart racing as she eyed Clearrain without meaning to. She was so beautiful, her mind thought idly, before she shook tried to shake it off only to fail. That tingle in her paws was back. Glancing back at the ferns and shrubbery and the cats' scent trails, she swept her tail on the grass in thought, then slowly nodded. It made sense, Clearfang was a good strong tom, and it wasn't until now he's shown just how much those that hurt him affected him, and used as his drive. A fierce natural leader, even. Hearing Clearrain, her head turned quickly back to her. "Yes..." She whispered. "I'll go with you guys, we can't give up yet. I'll... I'll go anywhere with you, Clearrain." Her own eyes were filled with love.
However before anyone else could say anything, a crack hit Hollyfall's ears just as she lifted a paw, making her puff up even more and her smile of gratitude disappear. It made the blood roar in her ears. The branch under her shifted, slowly down, down. Fear finally breaking through for the first time in her life, she yowled, "COONTAIL!" Just as she did, the thin branch then snapped. Hollyfall flailed, her vision tumbling. She couldn't right herself in time and white hot pain shot through her body as she collided with the branch right under her, she fell again, collided again, branch after branch, her wails piercing the air. She suddenly hit the ground with a dizzy sickening thud. Honeyleaf watched in terror and struggled to his paws, but right as he did, something crashed a tail-length from him. He flinched back as splinters of wood showered him, his ears ringing and hearing Lilypaw's voice in a distressed cry. Opening one eye, he stared in shock at the sight before him.
The branch that had broken was snapped in two upon the landing, and right under it, Hollyfall lay, whimpering in agony.
