Okay, so Kate has stated that Dovewing might be getting a new mate and has implied that it won't be either Bumblestripe or Tigerheart. If she does get a new mate, who do you think it'll be?
Here are all the current, single toms in ThunderClan not counting the medicine cats or Bumblestripe.
Brackenfur
Thornclaw
Mousewhisker
Molewhisker
Dewnose
Stormcloud
Larkkit
Brackenfur and Thornclaw are both old and the latter will probably be headed for the elders' den soon. Plus, I don't think Brackenfur will take another mate after Sorreltail died, but both could still be slight possibilities. As for Stormcloud, he seems to be interested in Cherryfall assuming they actually go through with the hint that was given to us near the end of Bramblestar's Storm.

Molewhisker? I know they don't pay much attention to the blood relations, but when they do, they try to steer away from it like with Foxleap and Rosepetal. That's why I'm assuming the Erins won't choose Dewnose because he's related to Cloudtail, who's kinda important. So that would make it more likely to remember some of his relatives like Dovewing being her granddaughter making Dewnose her uncle. But they could forget this and it ends up being him. But I don't know how Molewhisker's serious attitude and former views toward Df trainees, like Dovewing's sister would affect this. But that's what development is for I guess. I always thought Mole and Briar would have been a thing if Briar wasn't crippled. Also considering the Erins are pushing Ivy x Fern, I don't think Dew x Dove would be a stretch. I'm honestly not on board with Dovewing ending up with any tom unless she moves to ShadowClan or something. |

Probably the newer warriors: Stormcloud or Dewnose.
I'd prefer she'd never get a new mate at all, though. Get away from all of the drama, Dovewing

I would rather have Dovewing be single, but if she does get a mate, I'd like it to be Mousewhisker. 1- he's high on the Erin's list of cats who don't have much personality and are probably going to get killed off soon- so having Dovewing as a mate could help him live a bit longer, and 2. He doesn't seem like a super clingy cat to me, and so I think he'd be a good fit relationship-wise

Brackenfur and Thornclaw - They are too old.
Mousewhisker - I ship him with Minnowtail for some reason.
Molewhisker - We don't really know much about him. He never really had a personality in AVOS. Plus, I will probably confuse him with Mousewhisker and be confused.
Dewnose - We know next to nothing about him. He has had less screen time that most background cats.
Stormcloud - Well, Bramblestar ships him with Cherryfall, but that was after one glance. Their relationship was never touched upon in TAQ. But we also don't know much about his personality
Larkkit - He feels too young. I know they are cats, but the age gap feels too big for my comfort. Even IvyXFern was a bit of a stretch for me for some reason. Also we know nothing about him.
Granted, if any relationship is well developed, I would probably take it, but I think Dovewing has had her fair share of love drama and is better off without a mate.

I ship Dovewing with a SkyClan cat. No clue which one though. (I know everyone ships her with Hawkwing, but I haven't actually decided for myself yet. I just ship her with a random SkyClan cat currently, and I'll probably pick one when the SE comes out)
