As soon as the snow hit Palepaw flinched heavily and made herself small, her fur now standing on end. It felt like Shadeclaw had just struck her, she had been expecting to tumble sideways and her eyes were wide as memories flashed through her. When she realized that it was just another apprentice her tail was already larger than her body, fluffed out with pure surprise. After a few calm seconds she calmed down and nodded to Swanpaw "hello." she said, turning to quickly lick down her fur.

Swanpaw tilted her head to one side. "Hello there." She gave a short nod. Although she wouldn't consider Goosepaw her best friend, she didn't think she had any 'best friends', she didn't correct him. Would she consider Goosepaw to be a friend? Hm...well, she didn't hate him. "How are you?"

Goosepaw watched the two she-cats interacting a smiling like a kit that had seen snow for the first time, turning his attention back and forth between the two apprentices as they spoke, looking quite similar to someone watching a ping-pong game. He plopped himself down in the snow, deciding to sit down as Snowpaw and Palepaw chatted.

Palepaw stared as if she had never had a normal conversation like this before. She tilted her head slightly and the rattled apprentice sat down and blinked her eyes before finally responding "How am I what?" she asked, confusion dancing in her eyes as she glanced at Goosepaw, was this how friends talked?

Swanpaw flicked her tail. "How are you doing. Feeling. What are you up to. Anything you want to share." She knew, of course, that Shadeclaw had been training Palepaw and that was probably the reason the she-cat wasn't prepared to interact with others.

Brookpaw smiled, “I don’t know, I’d still be excited to have a leader or deputy as my mentor. But I’m happy with Bluelion.” She felt a bit of snow land on her head, “I wish the snow would thaw already. I miss swimming.” She said with a sigh, Brookpaw loved the water, much like her mother. "You could swim in the snow!" Sweetpaw jumped into a pile of snow, failing around as if trying to swim across the other side of camp. "If we try hard enough we can do it!" Brookpaw laughed at her sister’s silly act, “What will you do when the snow gators get you?” She giggled before she pounced on her sister in the snow and bit her ears playfully, “They’ll gobble you up!” (Tigerpaw is watching in the shadows like, ew they’re playing) |
