His blue eyes glancing around the camp silently thinking about what he should work with next with Mistpaw. ‘My first apprentice and I’m struggling to know how and what to teach her’ he mumbled out loud to himself |

When he awoke again, Applethorn's purr seemed to fill the fox den. He gazed lovingly at the she-cat by his side, and made up his mind to go hunting for her before she woke up as well. Not knowing her preference in prey, Applethorn decided he'd take what he could find as he ventured into the chilly leaf-bare air. In a thicket nearby the den, he cornered an unusually plump rabbit, able to kill it with a perfected bite. He trotted along proudly back to the den, happy to bring his mate- er, friend, back some food.

The older tom took in everything that happened between the jump and landing oh his apprentice. He knew many cats from LightningClan were good jumpers and climbers due to their body types, but some weren't as skilled naturally like the other cats. "You always want to make sure you have good footing before jumping since you'll slip." Skyrunner advised before pointing at his hind paws. "The power of the jump depends on your hind muscles and when you are hunting the most important part to hit your target is the front paws. If this was just jumping over a river then you would of had fallen in the water." Skyrunner didn't raise his voice or become angry by the mistake Firepaw made. He knew well enough his apprentice wouldn't be a great warrior until he had more practice and time to understand the skills. Hazepaw had her ears perked and eyes on him as he explained what to do. "But shouldn't I help with the fight?" She asked with a small frown. "I heard some cats thinking it's cowardly to run away from a fight." She knew her father thought differently though and would rather have the cats safe than getting in harms way. Firepaw nodded and he moved back to the spot he had first jumped from. He took a deep breath as he made sure his back paws were well planted this time and he took his time with this one, he was in no hurry and he shouldn't push himself to be fast he needed to work on being just good for now. After some deep breaths he finally jumped forward, pushing as hard as he could with his back legs. He managed to land on the rock this time, though he almost fell off he held his balance and looked at Skyrunner with happy eyes. Shadeclaw shook his head as he looked at his apprentice "better to be called a coward than to be dead." he said as his tail moved back and forth calmly. "the only reason you should stay in a fight that you can't win is if you are protecting someone weaker than you. An example would be your mother. Frostheart is no fighter by any standards yet she stood up against the dreadful Crowface to protect her apprentice. As I would for you." Skyrunner purred lightly at the small success his apprentice had made in the short time they were together. "If you keep practicing you'll have it down in no time," he promised. "If you want, you can try out hunting for something now?" Hazepaw shuddered a bit at the mention of her mother being attacked by the cat and didn't want to imagine how she felt. |

Shadeclaw gave a small smile as he gently licked each of the kits, now curled around his family like a large blanket "it's going well, I need to break her out of her shell, though. She needs to do things for herself, she can like things too." Softwing rested her head on her mate's pelt and enjoyed the feeling of his side rising and falling. Their kits were safe. She was so happy. She didn't care if she'd died giving birth, but she wouldn't have wanted any of her kits to pass. "I know you'll do great." She murmured. "You helped me after all." (all of my kitties but Softwing are AVAILABLE 0-0) |

Twitchfoot was minding her own business in camp, aimlessly tidying the nests in the warriors den. While it may be apprentice work, she didn't quite feel comfortable leaving the camp for some reason, getting a bad feeling about today, The jumpy and superstitious cat preferred to stay home, where she knew she was safe.
Runningbreeze, alternatively, had been out hunting, barely successful though he was. He'd managed to catch a small vole and a pathetic looking mouse, and his tail hung low over that fact, looking upset with his abilities.

Darkkit stared with large eyes at his mother as he became quiet before he glanced at his brother and then he proudly puffed his chest out "I'm not sorry for coming out here! You can have dad yell at me all you want and you can be disappointed but I feel free!" he said, shaking slightly, afraid he would upset his mother.
Thunderkit snickered at her sisters words and she touche her nose to her ear "he's a big grump, nothing like dad." She said happily.
(I cant wait!)
Mistpaw sat next to her brother, Sleetpaw, as she bragged happily about how she would be the best apprentice, she was 'already at the level of the older apprentices' Sleetpaw was used to this by now and he listened with silent ears, examining the camp.
Firepaw gave a happy nod as he began moving around, scenting for one of the animals he had already learned the scents of. His head kind of hurt but he wasn't going to let that stop him now!
Shadeclaw gave a short nod and he flicked his tail "alright, now we race. Follow me as best as you can and if you lose sight of me don't be frightened I won't be far."
Shadeclaw gave a slow nod as he looked down at his kits, his eyes determined. These kits were going to do great things, they were of his blood. His brothers kits were already showing plenty of promise.

Lilystep had woken up quite early per usual, she was never one who enjoyed sleeping in, a strong believer of 'the early bird gets the worm,' but hadn't moved a muscle for fear of waking the sleeping tom beside her. Lifting her head slightly she had watched the sunrise from the comfort of the old den, its colours being reflected slightly in the freshly fallen snow on the ground. The delicate she-cat's ear's swivelled as she heard him beginning to stir and she quickly lay back down, closing her eyes and pretending as if she was asleep. She felt him start to get up, smiling slightly at his carefulness to not wake her, it was a sweet gesture. Unsure of where he was off to, the waiting for a few moments her ears trained for any sounds of him. Before long she caught the sound of his paws crunching in the snow returning to the den. Blinking her eyes open and yawning widely, Lilystep raised her head and smiled at Applethorn as he stood in the entrance of the den. "Goodmorning handsome."

Smokenose pricked his ears as he heard Mistpaw and soon spotted Sleetpaw standing with Mistpaw on the other side of camp. Due to the expression on Sleetpaw’s face he knew that Mistpaw was boasting again and made his way over to the young cats. “Sleetpaw, Mistpaw” He meowed his voice monotoned as he dipped his head in greeting “Mistpaw what have I told you about boasting?” He questioned his apprentice

Lizardkit's belly was full, but she was still uncomfortable. Letting out a yowl, she began to squirm and try to find a better position. She was surrounded by softness. There was very little the newborn kit could do, so instead she continued to mewl in discomfort. Softwing bent down and gave her daughter a gentle lick. She uncurled a bit to try to give them all a bit more room.

(Either is fine with me  ) Eagletalon who had been just laying in his nest turned to look at Twitchfoot. He slowly rises out of his next and stretches. "Is it sunhigh yet?" He questioned unsure of how long he had slept. He just remembered returning from the dawn patrol and collapsing on his nest. |

Mistpaw stared at her mentor with slight annoyance, she wasn't boasting she was simply telling the truth. Her dad was great so was her mom, obviously she was going to be great. She was one of the best apprentices in the whole camp, next to the older apprentices of course. She stood up and Sleetpaw dipped his head with respect. She glanced at her brother "Sleetpaw doesn't mind."
Shadeclaw looked down at Lizardkit and he leaned and gently picked the kit up, setting her between his paws as he groomed her. He glanced at his mate to make sure she was doing alright as he cleaned the tiny kit.

Softwing purred and nuzzled her mate lovingly. "I knew you'd make a great father." She murmured warmly, her eyes glowing with happiness. All the pain from the birthing was forgotten. Lizardkit seemed to quiet at the gentle touch. She had so much more room! She stretched out and let the tongue groom her into a soft sleep.

Smokenose glanced over at Sleetpaw and blinked “if you say so Mistpaw just don’t get too caught up in yourself” He meowed flicking his tail “I’m not being mean I just want you to know that you can’t always be better at everything” he explained to the young she-cat as she kept an eye on Sleetpaw’s body language
