Crowtalon tilted his head as he thought "perhaps we should bring another warrior..just in case?" he remembered seeing Snakefires lifeless body and chills ran through his spine.

Flamestep scoffed at her words and shook his head forlornly. "Hardly. For one this frame isn't little and for two if I was full with as much hot air you say I am I would be lighter than you." He retorted with a small snort, reaching out to bat at the paw that was pawing at him.

"I think that may be wise.. Who do you suggest on bringing?" Moonclaw asked quietly, seeing the faint shiver that went through the deputy. His mind flashed to Snakefire and he had to suppress his own chill of dread. Another warrior would be wise.

Crowtalon turned his gaze to Antcloud and he nodded to the young warrior "Antcloud, join us on a patrol." he called to the tom. He sent his brother to fetch Palepaw who emerged from the apprentices den and stuck close to her mentor, her eyes glued to the ground.

Applethorn, too, was grateful for movement, as he padded after his Lilystep. He cautiously double-checked the den for any scent of fox before following her inside. "How'd you know this was here?" He asked her, bright amber eyes sparkling with adoration for the clever she-cat. Settling down, Lilystep was relieved to be out of the cold and slightly surprised at how warm it was within the abandoned den. "Sometimes I needed some space from the clan and this is the perfect spot to get some, I stumbled across it while I was hunting a few mooms ago." |

Echolight let out a soft breath to steady her nerves and slowly approached Cloverstripes, a mouse clutched in her jaws. She was unsure of the kind of greeting she would receive from the grieving warrior but she had to try. She had to make Cloverstripes okay with her siblings, at least Emberpaw. She knew that she was most likely going to fail but the silver tabby felt like this was the least she can do. Cloverstripes turned her head and sees Echoflight walking over. She felt a prickling in her stomach and says a quick prayer to Starclan for strenth. "Hello there Echoflight." She called out keeping her tone friendly. |

Applethorn licked her ear proudly, "Such a clever little recluse" he chuckled. Because Lilystep seemed to have been here often, the den no longer smelled like fox, which was a relief. He thought about something and got excited, exclaiming, "I'll be right back, Lilystep!" Before dashing out of the den and into the cold, chilly forest. Lilystep purred as she watched him bound away. Curling up and wrapping her plume of a tail around herself, she kept her gaze on the den's entrance, awaiting Applethorn's return. (Sorry it's so short) |
