Crowtalon watched the interaction carefully before he sighed and approached Moonclaw and his tail swayed back and forth "should I ask what that's about?" The deputy questioned. His head tilted to the side as he sat down calmly.

Moonclaw twitched at the voice of his deputy and he stiffened slightly. Embarrassment and slight annoyance washed through the tom and he sighed, giving his chest a few licks before turning to the tom. "Flamestep tossed me into a snowbank earlier for speaking my mind about Nightwing." He explained sheepishly, glancing up at Crowtalon.

Crowtalons whiskers gave a small twitch and he shook his head. "Well, I won't be tossing you anywhere, go ahead and speak your mind to me. Perhaps I can help you in some way or provide some sort of comfort." He said gently. His eyes moved to the nursery as he thought about his kits and Adderbite for a moment.

Moonclaw's whiskers twitched in amusement at his words and followed Crowtalon's line of sight, staring at the nursery for a moment before he began. "Nightwing is no good for Spottedcloud. No good at all and the tom has a temper! He's constantly covered in scratches all the time now and yet is protective as ever over my former apprentice! I don't like that." He admitted, his ears lowering to the side slightly.
"I don't think we even starting your training Beenose. I think we were hung up on who you should prank." Flamestep purred out in amusement, nudging her gently with his head. It was cold outside of camp but it felt good for them to get out and take a breather. Who knows, maybe they could even find some prey out in this chilly air.

Crowtalon remained silent for a moment before he smiled slightly. His eyes flickered around the camp. "I think you should give him a chance. Think about it. Owlfeather and my brother are an odd pairing, Ravenfeather was nothing but anger before her. Snakefire and Klea, Shadeclaw and Softwing, Ratnose and Ottersplash. Sometimes mates can change each other. Spottedcloud was mentored right, she'll need your support more than anything." His eyes turned to the nursery once more. "Though if it were my daughter perhaps I would understand how you feel."

XD Alright. I'll post a starter)
Moonclaw listened to Crowtalon's words before he let out a long sigh, hanging his head. "Spottedcloud feels like my daughter at times Crowtalon. I have no mate and no kits but I feel like Palepaw and Spottedcloud are mine. Snakefire and Klea weren't a good example by the way. Snakefire is dead and Klea ran away." He murmured and shook his head. "I know that I'm suppose to give him a chance but they fought already before. I'm just worried."
Flamestep let out a splutter at her words and fell back comically, flailing in the snow. "My heart! I've been struck!" He wailed out softly, squiggling for a moment longer before falling still. He felt amusement course through him and he resisted the urge to laugh, knowing that his cover would be blown the moment he does.
Maplestrike emerged from the warrior's den with a shake of her fur, her amber eyes scanning the camp clearing. She had slept soundly for the first time in moons that night and her coat showed it. Pieces of moss and twigs were sticking all over yet the dark ginger she cat could not care less at the moment.

Crowtalon gave a slow nod and he glanced at the apprentices den. "Palepaw is lucky to have you as a mentor. She needs someone who sees her as a daughter and not something that can be molded however we see fit. Spottedcloud is a fiery she-cat. I believe she will do the right thing. Nightwing hasn't had it easy as well, remember. Sometimes a bad upbringing can really effect a cat. Klea may be missing but between you and me I think that had something to do with a certain tom. " his eyes darkened as he thought of Shadeclaw.

Flamestep's whiskers nearly twitched in amusement as she bounded over to him but he couldn't hold back a giggle as her whiskers tickled him. Squirming deeper into the snow to escape her whiskers, the tom opened up his eyes and amusement was clear in her face. Giving her nose a quick lick to ease her panic, the tom let out a purr of amusement and grinned up at her. "I was struck by your harsh words Bee! I'm a great mentor!"
Moonclaw listened carefully to the tom and let out a sigh again, nodding in understanding. "I get what you're saying Crowtalon and I hope you're right. I know just as well as any cat out there how firey Spottedcloud could be at times and I know she won't take kindly to me trying to interfere. Thank you for listening but what's this about Klea?"

Flamestep let out a low whine at her words and reached up to paw at her muzzle gently. "Bee! Those words hurt! You know I'm a great mentor!" He whimpered out, hoping that she'd look at him. He was pulling a fairly good impression of a kitten right now and he knew it. Maplestrike always fell for it growing up and it works half the time with Moonclaw as well.

Crowtalon lowered his voice as he stared at the warriors den "Klea loved her mate..I knew that. She loved those kits. Snakefire wouldnt have fallen for just any cat you know what kind of Tom he was. His mentor was my father, he was a strong cat who didnt trust easily. Klea wouldnt have left without warning. I overheard a conversation between the brothers afterwards. Shadeclaw knew what he was doing. I wont act until I'm certain because it is a serious charge. Deerbrush and Snakefire were murdered by very large cats. Shadeclaw is no stranger to fighting. Snakefire was taken by surprise. Who more surprising than his brother.."he closed his eyes "I cant be certain so dont repeat these words."
