Crowtalon gave a nod as he stopped, opening his mouth to try and get a better scent. He caught the scent of a mouse and crouched down into hunters position. He kept his weight on his haunches as he slowly crept forward. He kept his paw steps light and when he caught sight of the mouse he pounced, giving the killing bite on impact. He nodded and thanked Starclan for the kill.

Frostheart tilted her head "really? Not me, that's too much responsibility I couldn't handle it. Plus I'm too nice and I get distracted easily." She looked around the camp "there are plenty of great cats ti compete with though." Adderbite nodded, "I know, Crowtalon seems to be most likely to be deputy. Maybe I should plot against him." She gave a devious smirk. "Ratnose wanted to be a medicine cat at one point but he faints at the sight of blood." Adderbite laughed, hitting Frostheart's back with her tail. |

Frostheart shook her head at the thought of being deputy "who knows who Fox star will pick...as long as they take their responsibilities seriously and do what's best for the clan then I don't care who it is." She flicked her tail "hopefully someone who is willing to speak their mind with Foxstar..I know I couldnt."

Adderbite smirked, “Oh I can speak my mind. I got a few choice words for Ravenfeather.” She gave a low laugh. She looked at Frostheart. “What have you been up to lately? Any toms you been checking out?”

Aspenfall snapped out of her brief confusion before purring. "Nice catch Crowtalon. Quick question, do you know the second scent? I can't seem to place it." She asked, noticing that the second scent slowly grew in strength the more they walked.

“That’s horrible,” Lakesong murmured. “I’m so sorry. Usually when a kit breaks a bone it can heal easily with little to no permanent damage. Yours must have been a bad break.”

Frostheart felt her ears go warm and she ducked down "n-no! Of course not! No tom would be interested in me!" She shuffled her paws, she had low self esteem even though she was attractive she wasn't the best warrior. She wasn't anything to look up to and she was distracted all the time. Not to mention she was smaller than normal. She shook her head in denial.

Crowtalon looked around, trying to pinpoint what the smell was "i dont know.." He tilted his head whatever it was it was getting stronger. He became more alert, prepared for whatever it was.

Ratnose’s more rebellious side came out as he said, “Maybe there’s some prey at the Ancient Oak?” He knew of the owl that lived there but of all things, owls didn’t scare him. He loved hunting there, usually there’d be small rodents and birds. He also picked it since he surprisingly felt the most confident hunting there. |

“Then we’ll be crazy clan elders together.” Adderbite said in a petty tone. She stood up, with her tail up high. “Let’s do something, just us gals. We could go to the boiling lake or that old bear cave. I went once with Lakesong to get some honey. It taste amazing.”

"Honestly.. I'm not sure myself," Ambershine mewed slowly. She had to remind herself not to give too much away; she was there because after all this time, she couldn't get Lionfang out of her head. "I was just walking and ended up over there. Sometimes that happens, though, I tend to lose myself to my thoughts."

Frostheart padded along "we can go to the bear cave." She looked at her new friend and a purr arose in her throat. She had never had a best friend before. She hoped they would remain close, she liked having Adderbite around.

"Yes!" Adderbite secretly wanted to go there more than the boiling lake. "It's not leaf-bare so we don't have worry about any bears." She licked her lips, thinking of the honey, as she headed towards the cavern.
