Nightpaw laughed as Ashpaw jumped around. She was feeling excited herself, but she wanted to keep her calm in front of Orange.

Nightpaw’s ears dropped back as she heard this. She looked towards Ashpaw to see how he’d react. She then stamped her paw, “you just met your long lost brother! You can’t just leave right after something like that!” She meowed.

(Poof she is at the border now) Darkstar parted her jaws she scented Ashpaw and Nightpaw. She called their names hoping they weren't in danger.

Nightpaw jumped hearing the voice of her leader calling her’s and Ashpaw’s Name. She looked at Ashpaw with wide, worried eyes. She wanted to protest against Orange needing to leave, but what she said made her begin to understand why she had to leave. “Well then how are we going to explain why we were over the border?” She asked frantically.

Darkstar called again starting to follow the two apprentices scent. She was concerned as the scent went across the border.

Darkstar looked suspicious. "Well don't do that again without warriors. If the rogue was agressive enough to need chased out it could have killed you both." She scolded the two apprentices

"I can say that I'm glad that both of you are safe and at least you were together." She paused looking at the young cats. "Ashpaw I hope you are prepared for your assessment. It will be tonight and if you pass your ceremony will be tonight." She told her apprentice.

Nightpaw gave Ashpaw a encouraging nudge. She smiled at him excitedly. She was both relieved that they got away with crossing the border without to much of a punishment, and happy that Ashpaw was finally getting the chance to show the clan his ability.

Darkstar breathed in the scents. She could just barely make out the scent of a third cat. It seemed to cling to the apprentices. She shrugged not sure why they would lie if they were.

Nightpaw looked up at her surroundings. She saw a bird fly from one tree to another, she studies it as they passed. She wondered if one day she’d be able to catch birds like that like some of the older cats can. Nightpaw began to drift off into thought as she thought about what life might be like a warrior.
