I've been looking up old OOTS stuff on the Wayback Machine, and I found my old "After The Last Hope Movie" thing I wanted to make. I made a ridiculously long summary, which is kind of amusing, so I felt like sharing it here.
The movie begins with a prologue chapter that takes place after Sunset and After The Flood, but before Eclipse. Sol has left SkyClan, and is in a rainy city where he looks to be starving. As water pours down on him, he tries to hide in an alley, but is attacked by Misha. She thinks that he's a SkyClan cat, but he explains that he seeks to destroy SkyClan. Misha says that she wants revenge on SkyClan for ruining her life, so the two agree to work together. They begin traveling, but are forced to shelter in a cave after the weather gets out of hand. They go to sleep, but Sol is awakened by a mysterious voice. The voice says that Sol's hatred of the Clans is great, and it can offer him the power to exact vengeance on them. Sol tries to question what the voice means by "Clans", but the voice tells him that he can accept the offer now, or lose it forever and remain weak. Sol accepts the power, and the voice says that the obtaining the power requires a sacrifice. Suddenly a circle with two perpendicular lines running through it appears on Misha's stomach, and starts to glow blue. Misha awakens just in time to realize what's happening to her before she dies. Sol's voice changes, and he sneers, saying that his new power, the Clans shall fall. He has become Dark Sol, the Sol we know from the main series.
The story then cuts ahead to immediately after The Last Hope. The living cats are mourning their fallen comrades. Bramblestar gives a eulogy for Firestar, and everyone is solemn. A few cats from the other Clans are revealed to have died in the battle. Meanwhile in WindClan, Sedgewhisker says that she hasn't seen Breezepelt since the battle started. Heathertail says that he was most likely killed in the battle, but Nightcloud claims that he is merely lost, and resolves to search for him alongside her warrior duties.
Then the film advances six moons after The Last Hope, during the winter/spring transition period. As part of the rebuilding effort, Cinderheart is working herself to the point of exhaustion, and Sorreltail tells her to take a break. Cinderheart insists that she hasn't been working nearly as hard as Lionblaze, but Sorreltail points out that Lionblaze is the Clan's strongest warrior. Sorreltail then teases Cinderheart about how she will have to move to the nursery soon. Cinderheart agrees to take a break and leaves her work. The perspective switches to Ivypool, who essentially become the leader of training hollow exercises. She is fighting Molepaw, Cherrypaw, Seedpaw (apprenticed to Icecloud), and Lilypaw (apprenticed to Bumblestripe) all at the same time. Ivypool wins, and Cherrypaw complains that Ivypool is too strong of an opponent. Ivypool replies that Cherrypaw and Molepaw have become quite strong, and that they should probably be getting their warrior names soon. Ivypool then heads to Jayfeather's den, where Millie is bothering Jayfeather about a cure for Briarlight. Millie leaves when Ivypool comes in, and Ivypool asks for some herbs. Jayfeather says that Ivypool trains too much, and Ivypool replies that she has to keep her skills sharp. Ivypool tells Jayfeather that she's going to ask Bramblestar about Cherrypaw and Molepaw's warrior names. After she leaves, Jayfeather mutters, "Was the battle really worth it in the end?"
The story shifts to the Dark Forest, where Mapleshade and Thistleclaw are trying to get an unenthusiastic group of Dark Forest warriors to train for a second battle. Redwillow complains that he never got to destroy the weak warriors as he was promised, and Mapleshade replies that he'll get his chance when they attack again, because the Clans won't be expecting them this time. Redwillow says that they failed the first time, so he has no reason to believe they'll succeed on the second attempt. He then leaves, and most of the Dark Forest warriors follow. Mapleshade and Thistleclaw sigh, and Silverhawk arrives. Silverhawk says that even if the others don't care about fighting the Clans, he'll devote every moment he has to getting revenge on Lionblaze.
The story shifts back to ThunderClan, partway through the warrior ceremony of Cherrypaw and Molepaw. Cherrypaw becomes Cherrynose, and Molepaw becomes Moleclaw. Even though cats can't cry, Berrynose starts sobbing and says that he's never felt so emotional. Ivypool mentions that the training hollow will feel empty without two of her sparring partners, but Dewkit insists that she's almost ready to become an apprentice. That night, Jayfeather dreams of meeting Half Moon. Suddenly his dream is interrupted by Mothflight and Brambleberry, who say that someone wants to see him. Jayfeather and Half Moon go and find Hollyleaf and Fallen Leaves. Jayfeather is happy that Fallen Leaves is out of the tunnels, but he tells Hollyleaf that he misses her. Half Moon says, "So you're Jayfeather's sister who I've heard so much about!" Jayfeather says that even though Hollyleaf was one of the four, she was still one of his greatest allies in completing the prophecy. Hollyleaf then tells Jayfeather that the prophecy of four isn't over yet, but the dream breaks before she can elaborate.
The next day, Lionblaze is on a patrol with Rosepetal, Mousewhisker, and Whitewing. After Whitewing sets aside some materials that could be useful for the continuing effort to rebuild the camp, Lionblaze sees a squirrel and chases after it, separating him from his patrol. Lionblaze runs into Crowfeather, who says, "My son, I've wanted to see you." Lionblaze becomes angry and tells Crowfeather that he never cared about any of his kits. Crowfeather is taken aback, and Lionblaze asks, "Did you feel any sorrow when Hollyleaf died? Did you ever consider what kind of a father you were to Breezepelt? I am disgusted to call you my father!" Crowfeather says that Breezepelt was always a bad cat, but Lionblaze wonders if that's even true. He then tells Crowfeather to go back to WindClan, then leaves and meets up with his patrol.
The story moves to the Tribe of Rushing Water. Breezepelt has joined the Tribe as a prey-hunter, and is hunting an eagle with Dark, Wing, and Splash. The cats find the eagle, and defeat it after a brief fight scene. They carry it back to the Tribe, and Dark says that Rain will be impressed by his catch. Breezepelt heads back to outside to look at the mountains, and finds Dark Sol waiting for him.
Back at ThunderClan camp, Dovewing is talking with Hazeltail. Dovewing says that her life feels empty with the battle over, and Hazeltail says that she just needs something to focus on, while gesturing at Bumblestripe with her tail. Hazeltail then leaves, and Dovewing says that a mate wasn't what she was thinking of. Rosepetal gets back from patrol and asks Dovewing what's wrong, and after Dovewing tells her, Rosepetal suggests learning some Clan History. Dovewing remembers the "other Clan" that Dark Sol mentioned, and she tells Rosepetal all about it. Dovewing and Rosepetal go to ask Dustpelt (who has joined the elders) about it, but Dustpelt says Ferncloud's name and leaves. Icecloud appears and chases after him. Dovewing hears Purdy telling a story about visiting another Clan to Seedpaw, and goes in to ask him about it. Purdy explains that he found SkyClan once. He says that they knew Sandstorm, so Dovewing and Rosepetal should go and ask her about it. Dovewing uses her powers to locate Sandstorm, and she takes Rosepetal near the lake, where Sandstorm is hunting. Sandstorm tells Dovewing and Rosepetal that she and Firestar helped rebuild SkyClan many years earlier. Dovewing thanks Sandstorm, and heads back to camp with Rosepetal. Bramblestar then calls a Clan meeting. He apprentices Dewkit to Ivypool, Amberkit to Dovewing, and Snowkit to Blossomfall. Millie is too busy obsessing over Briarlight to notice Blossomfall.
Back at the mountains, Dark Sol tells Breezepelt that Breezpelt will help him. Breezepelt says that his loyalty is only to the Tribe now, and Dark Sol says that it won't be Breezepelt's choice. Dark Sol explains that he predates the Clans, and has been surviving for many years, by merging his soul with other cats. He reveals that the two hosts before his current host were Hawkfrost and Scourge. Dark Sol says that his current body is growing weak, and that he needs a younger host to survive. Breezepelt says that he won't let anyone threaten the Tribe, then attacks Dark Sol. Dark Sol catches him, but Breezepelt yowls for help. Wing shows up to help, and Dark Sol says that the required sacrifice has arrived. The same circle pattern that appeared on Misha appears on Wing, and she dies. Dark Sol disappears, and Breezepelt becomes possessed, turning him into Dark Breezepelt. Dark Breezepelt heads into the room where Crag/Stoneteller is, then attacks him. After a short fight, Dark Breezepelt throws Stoneteller into the water where he receives signs. Stormfur, Dark, and Rain show up to help Stoneteller, but are easily defeated by Dark Breezepelt. Dark Breezpelt explains that he'd love to stay and slaughter the Tribe, but the Clans are the ones he seeks revenge against.
A few days later, Ivypool is sparring with the apprentices when a load noise interrupts the fight. She goes and asks Dovewing what the noise was, and Dovewing tells her that there was an explosion in WindClan territory. Dovewing and Ivypool go to Bramblestar and tell him about the explosion. Bramblestar says that Dovewing can take Lionblaze and Rosepetal to investigate, but Ivypool has to stay home, because if it's a trap she may get captured. Ivypool says that she won't get captured, especially not with Lionblaze around, but Bramblestar doesn't change his mind. Squirrelflight apologizes to Ivypool as Dovewing leaves with Lionblaze and Rosepetal. The Dustpelt asks Ivypool, Mousewhisker and Blossomfall to come with him. Since it's the first coherent thing he's said since Ferncloud's death, they agree, but Snowpaw runs off, leading to Blossomfall needing to chase after her. Dustpelt says that she'll catch up, then leads Ivypool and Mousewhisker into the forest.
Meanwhile, Dovewing, Lionblaze and Rosepetal venture into WindClan territory. Sedgewhisker appears, and Dovewing tries to talk her way out of the situation, but is forced to explain her powers. The four of them head to the site of the explosion and find a meteor there. Together, they are able to lift the meteor and take it back to WindClan camp. Suddenly, Dark Breezepelt appears. Nightcloud rejoices because her son has returned, but Dark Breezepelt attacks Nightcloud and wounds her. Lionblaze tries to fight Dark Breezepelt, but Dark Breezepelt avoids him and says, "I couldn't harm hair on your beautiful coat." Then Dark Breezepelt grabs the meteor and leaves. Crowfeather asks Lionblaze what he thinks of Breezepelt now, but Nightcloud says that that wasn't Breezepelt. Lionblaze, Dovewing, and Rosepetal return to camp to give their report, while Whitetail and Ashfoot head off to find Dark Breezepelt.
The story moves back to Blossomfall, who finds out that Snowpaw was chasing after Seedpaw, who is acting strange. They try to call to Seedpaw, but she ignores them. Soon they find a clearing with Dark Breezepelt in it. Dark Breezepelt thanks Seedpaw for coming, then unsheathes his claws. Blossomfall and Snowpaw are too slow to make it to Seedpaw, but Sorreltail comes out of nowhere to stop Dark Breezepelt. However, she steps on of the strange circles and dies an emotional death. Dark Breezepelt leaves with Seedpaw, and Ashfoot and Whitetail show up to help carry Sorreltail's body back to the camp.
Meanwhile, Dustpelt leads Ivypool and Mousewhisker to a clearing in the forest, and Mousewhisker asks what Dustpelt wants. Suddenly Dark Breezepelt appears and says that Dustpelt has served him well. Dustpelt asks Dark Breezepelt to bring Ferncloud back, but Dark Breezepelt says that he needs a few more favours. Dark Breezepelt then says that it's time for him to use the power of the latest sacrifice. He puts his paw to the meteor, which starts to glow. Out of it emerges Dark Sol, Hawkfrost, and Scourge. Ivypool asks Hawkfrost how he returned, and he replies by attacking her. Dark Breezepelt attacks Mousewhisker, while Ivypool fights both Scourge and Hawkfrost at the same time. Ivypool manages to deal a mortal wound to Scourge, then focuses on Hawkfrost. Suddenly Dark Breezepelt joins the fight. Ivypool manages to hold her own for a little bit, but Scourge rises and explains that he is beyond death. Scourge grabs Ivypool while she's surprised, and Dark Breezepelt says that Ivypool and Mousewhisker will stand trial in the Dark Forest.
A bit later, the Clan receives the report that Breezepelt has returned. They also learn that Ivypool has gone missing. Dewpaw wants to find her immediately, but Dovewing can't locate Ivypool with her power. Ashfoot, Whitetail, Blossomfall, and Snowpaw arrive with Sorreltail's body, and Brackenfur swears revenge on Dark Breezepelt. Blossomfall talks about Dustpelt, and Dovewing deduces that the Dark Forest must be involved in this some way. Suddenly Tigerheart arrives in the camp and explains that Applefur was captured by Dark Breezepelt. He says that they need to stop Dark Breezepelt. Dovewing decides to head back to WindClan to make sure that Breezepelt doesn't return. As she leaves, she yells, "Save my sister!" After she leaves, Nightcloud arrives in ThunderClan camp.
Meanwhile in the Dark Forest, Dark Breezepelt appears. Mapleshade asks if he's come to join them, but he replies that he has come to rule. Scourge, Dark Sol, Hawkfrost, Dustpelt, and Seedpaw appear. Then Dark Breezepelt drops off Ivypool, Mousewhisker, Applefur, Sunstrike, and Minnowtail. Dark Breezepelt tells the Dark Forest to do what they like with them. Dark Breezepelt says that he has to meet with Blackstar and Lionblaze, resulting in hungry looks from Silverhawk and Redwillow.
Dovewing arrives in the WindClan camp, but by that time it's too late to do anything, and she has to go to sleep. Kestrelflight informs the cats that Crowfeather and Nightcloud have disappeared.
Meanwhile, Mothwing is gathering herbs in RiverClan when something falls down beside her. She turns and sees that it is Willowshine's corpse. Hawkfrost looms over her and says, "A present for you, my dear sister." He leaves, but Hollowflight chases after him.
Jayfeather goes to sleep. As he dreams, he meets Hollyleaf again. He asks her if Breezepelt is the threat the four need to beat, but Rock appears to them. Rock explains that long ago, three cats named Lion, Tiger, and Leopard ruled the skies. While they thought they were immortal, they eventually began to grow old and weak. Tiger refused to accept it, and developed a method that allowed him to steal the body of another cat. He shared the method with Leopard and Lion, and they took the bodies of other cats. However, Tiger realized the errors of his ways and tried to stop the other two. Leopard was repentant, but Lion was not, and he left after wounding the other two. Tiger resolved to grow old and hideous, then die to atone for his sins. Leopard took a non-cat body to exile herself from the cats. Jayfeather realizes that Rock is Tiger, while Midnight is Leopard. Rock explains that Breezepelt has been possessed by Lion, and Jayfeather has to stop him. Then Dark Breezepelt appears, declaring war on StarClan. Many Dark Forest cats begin ransacking StarClan, and Rock breaks Jayfeather's dream to save him.
Lionblaze is out at dawn looking for Ivypool, when Blackstar appears and attacks him. Lionblaze gets Blackstar to calm down, then learns that a ShadowClan warrior saw Lionblaze stealing a kit. Ivypool appears with the kit in her mouth, then runs away. Lionblaze and Blackstar chase her through the tunnels, until they reach a large chamber. Ivypool calls Lionblaze and Blackstar stupid, then drops the kit, who transforms into Redwillow. Redwillow tackles Blackstar, leading him into another room. Ivypool attacks Lionblaze, and they fight one on one.
In ThunderClan camp, Rock appears and explains that he can lead a few Clan cats into the Dark Forest so that they can rescue their comrades. Bramblestar says the risk would be great, but Rock reveals that the meteor is in the Dark Forest, and it gives them unlimited power. Nightcloud, Jayfeather, Blossomfall, and Tigerheart form the patrol. At the last second, Hollowflight appears to help out. The cats leave for the Dark Forest. Suddenly Hawkfrost appears in the camp, along with Darkstripe and Seedpaw. Icecloud tries to call out to Seedpaw, but Seedpaw and Hawkfrost run to attack her. Hazeltail jumps in front of Icecloud and takes the blow, confessing her love of Icecloud as she dies. Icecloud then fights Seedpaw, and is forced to kill her apprentice. Millie worries about Briarlight, and Squirrelflight calls her out for not caring about Blossomfall.
Meanwhile, Lionblaze is losing his fight against Ivypool due to his reluctance to attack. Redwillow comes into the chamber with a defeated Blackstar and asks if Ivypool needs help. Ivypool says that she wants to kill Lionblaze herself.
In the Dark Forest, the group of heroes is ambushed by Dark Forest warriors led by Snowtuft. They capture Jayfeather and drag him off. Blossomfall, Nightcloud, Hollowflight, and Tigerheart try to fight the rest of the Dark Forest Warriors, but are being slowly defeated. Suddenly, Redtail, Lionheart and Whitestorm show up to save them.
Back in the tunnels, Ivypool catches Lionblaze, and is about to kill him when Lionblaze thinks of Cinderheart. Worrying about what would happen if she was left alone, he attacks Ivypool and throws her across the room. Her face begins to melt off, revealing her to be Silverhawk in disguise. Silverhawk explains that Shredtail was his brother, and he wants revenge. Lionblaze prepares to fight him.
Meanwhile, Scourge and Mapleshade are performing the trials of the cats. Scourge judges Mousewhisker guilty, so Mapleshade kills him, then starts to eat him. Nightcloud and the others show up and rescue the former apprentices in the middle of Ivypool's trial. Mapleshade flees to guard the meteor, while Redtail, Lionheart and Whitestorm tell the others to go get the meteor while they fight Scourge. Nightcloud and the others leave, while Scourge begins his battle.
In the tunnels, Lionblaze fights and kills Silverhawk, then takes a moment to relax. Suddenly, Redwillow knocks him down and Dark Breezepelt appears. Dustpelt cuts himself and draws the circle around Lionblaze with his own blood. Dark Breezepelt then explains that he's going to perfectly possess Lionblaze by sacrificing four who have experienced death and returned. Then he'll be able to regain his full power. Dustpelt finishes the circle and asks for Ferncloud back. Dark Breezepelt nods, then kills Dustpelt. The circle doesn't activate, confusing Dark Breezepelt. Then Snowtuft and Thistleclaw appear with Jayfeather, and Dark Breezepelt decides that he chose the wrong cat to kill. He calls Snowtuft over and kills him, which activates the circle. Then he tells Thistleclaw to destroy the Clans as a distraction. After Thistleclaw and Redwillow leave, Dark Breezepelt says that under the light of the full moon, Lionblaze will be his.
Back in ThunderClan camp, Darkstripe is attacking Berrynose. Bramblestar tries to fight Hawkfrost, but gets defeated and thrown away easily. Hawkfrost suddenly runs off. Berrynose continues fighting Darkstripe. Just when it looks like he might lose, Beetlenose comes to the rescue. After Beetlenose identifies Daisy as the daughter of his kit Vixenkit, who was taken by twolegs, he joins Berrynose's fight against Darkstripe. The two of them take down Darkstripe easily, but suddenly they hear a scream from the nursery. The two of them run in and see that Cinderheart has been captured, so they chase after Hawkfrost, whose fur is found in the nursery.
Dovewing, Sedgewhisker, and Swallowtail are in WindClan territory, and have been unsuccessful in locating Dark Breezepelt. Suddenly, Thistleclaw, Hawkheart and Jaggedtooth appear in WindClan camp. A fight begins between the WindClan cats and the Dark Forest warriors, as more Dark Forest Warriors begin to fill the camp.
Meanwhile in the mountains, Stormfur gives a speech that rouses the tribe and makes them agree to head to the forest and aid the Clans.
The film shifts back to Beetlenose and Berrynose, who are chasing Hawkfrost. After a quick chase, they catch him and discover that he doesn't have Cinderheart. Hawkfrost sneers at them and escapes.
Meanwhile, Rosepetal and Whitewing are walking through the forest. Suddenly, a hoard of Dark Forest warriors appear and attack them. Whitewing takes lots of injuries in the fight. Suddenly Hollyleaf and Midnight appear and save them from the Dark Forest warriors. Whitewing is heavily injured, and she dies. The Hollyleaf tells Rosepetal that she has to find the portal the Dark Forest cats are using to enter the Clan territory. If Rosepetal destroys the portal, then the Dark Forest warriors won't be able to leave the Dark Forest. Rosepetal nods and leaves, while Midnight takes Whitewing's spirit to StarClan. Hollyleaf prepares to go back to StarClan, but Dark Sol arrives and attacks her.
In the tunnels, Dark Breezepelt sees Darkstripe bring in Cinderheart. Dark Breezepelt says that only one more cat is needed.
Back in WindClan camp, the WindClan cats are easily defeating the Dark Forest warriors. Kestrelflight kills Hawkheart after calling him a traitor to the medicine cat code. Ashfoot, Whitetail, and Onestar kill Jaggedtooth together, and say that they'll do anything to protect their Clan. Thistleclaw flees, but not before taunting Swallowtail by revealing that he killed Antpelt. Swallowtail chases him in a fury, with Dovewing and Sedgewhisker following behind. Onestar looks up at the sky and says that it's time for the gathering.
In the Dark Forest, Scourge is shown to have defeated, but not killed, Lionheart, Whitestorm, and Redtail. He's about to kill them, but then he stops and says that he'll have to save them for later. He leaves, and Midnight shows up to bring them back to StarClan.
The gathering is beginning, and the cats get into an argument over their missing Clanmates. Just when it looks like things will come to blows, Scourge and Hawkfrost arrive at the gathering.
Rosepetal finds the Dark Forest Portal. Clawface is there waiting for her, and he mocks her. Before they can fight, Crowfeather shows up and kills Clawface in one blow. Crowfeather then tells Rosepetal to take him to the tunnels.
Back at the gathering, Scourge and Hawkfrost are easily winning due to their regeneration abilities. Scourge kills the RiverClan deputy Reedwhisker. Leafpool is a little bit away from the battle and mutters, "There has to be some way to stop them. Hollyleaf, my beloved daughter, what would you have done?"
In the Dark Forest, Ivypool and Nightcloud's group is fighting a large amount of Dark Forest warriors. Ivypool says that the fight is easy, because she's been sparring against multiple opponents.
In ThunderClan territory, Hollyleaf has defeated Dark Sol. She tells him that he was never a fighter, then spares him again. Hollyleaf heads back to StarClan to help them in their fight.
Scourge pins down Squirrelflight at the gathering, but Leafpool arrives with a large branch and knocks Scourge away. After fighting him for a short time, Leafpool pulls him into the water surrounding the gathering island, then drags him underwater. Scourge slashes at her and hits her, but Leafpool impales him with the branch, which she sticks into the gathering island. Leafpool floats up to the top and is heavily wounded. She lies down dying, and says that she's going to Hollyleaf. Seeing that Scourge is stuck until the heroes get rid of his regeneration ability, Hawkfrost flees the gathering, pursued by Mothwing. Dark Forest warriors fall from the sky, so the Clan cats head home to defeat them.
In the tunnels, Dovewing, Sedgewhisker, and Swallowtail are pursuing Thistleclaw. Thistleclaw leads them to the chamber where Dark Breezepelt is, then holds them down with the help of Redwillow and Darkstripe. Dark Breezepelt puts Dovewing into the circle where Blackstar, Cinderheart, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze are, then says that his possession of Lionblaze can now happen.
Meanwhile, Mothwing catches up to Hawkfrost, and they prepare to fight. Mothwing says that Hawkfrost was once a kind and caring cat, but Hawkfrost calls Mothwing a fool. Then their battle begins.
In the tunnels, Dark Breezepelt puts his paws down on the circle to activate it. Suddenly, Crowfeather and Rosepetal burst in and run and Dark Breezepelt. Redwillow attacks Crowfeather and wounds him, but Crowfeather kills him with one blow. Darkstripe and Thistleclaw flee in terror, with a now freed Swallowtail pursuing Thistleclaw. Crowfeather's blood leaks into the circle and goes over Dustpelt's blood. Then Crowfeather tries to grab Dark Breezepelt and smears blood on him. Dark Breezepelt screams in pain, and slashes at Crowfeather, killing him. With his last breath, Crowfeather apologizes to his sons for failing them. His eyes close, but Jayfeather is freed and puts his paw on Dark Breezepelt, entering into his mind. There, Jayfeather finds Breezepelt at the mercy of Lion. Jayfeather convinces Breezepelt to team up with him, and they defeat Lion together. Jayfeather opens his eyes and sees darkness fly out of Breezepelt's body, then disappear. The circle starts going haywire, but Breezepelt puts his paw in the center and it calms down. The cats mourn Crowfeather, but Rosepetal tells everyone about the Dark Forest portal. Rosepetal, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing, Breezepelt, Blackstar, and Cinderheart leave the tunnel. Jayfeather wonders if Firestar was actually the fourth. After they leave, the darkness solidifies into a weak version of Lion.
Swallowtail chases Thistleclaw to ShadowClan camp. She fights him there alongside Ivytail, Tawnypelt, and Littlecloud. During the fight, Swallowtail manages to kill Thistleclaw, but collapses due to her wounds. Littlecloud takes her into the medicine den for treatment, explaining that she won't be able to fight for the rest of the battle.
Rosepetal's group manages to get to the portal, where they are attacked by a random Dark Forest warrior. Breezepelt defeats him, and Midnight appears to confirm Jayfeather's suspicion that Breezepelt is the true fourth. Midnight explains that Breezepelt's power is to purge darkness from all things, and urges Breezepelt to destroy the portal. She says that the group can then go help fight the Dark Forest cats who are already in the Clans. Dovewing puts her paw on the portal and sees that the other cats are still in the Dark Forest. She asks Mapleshade if she can go into the Dark Forest with Lionblaze. She'll bring her friends back, while Lionblaze prevents any more cats from getting through. Midnight agrees, and Blackstar goes with Lionblaze after saying that ShadowClan is the Clan of battle. Lionblaze, Blackstar, and Dovewing head through the portal, while Midnight leads Rosepetal, Sedgewhisker, Cinderheart, and Jayfeather away.
Back in RiverClan, Mothwing continues to fight Hawkfrost. Mistystar offers to lend a paw, but Mothwing says that Hawkfrost is her responsibility, and that Mistystar should defeat the dark forest warriors.
Dovewing runs through the Dark Forest, finding her allies right after they defeat the Dark Forest warriors who were at the meteor. She tells them to hurry back, because the portal is going to have be closed soon. The go to the portal and begin to go through. Dovewing and Ivypool are the last two left, and Ivypool tells Dovewing that she's going to stay behind to destroy that portal on the Dark Forest side, and to destroy the meteor. Dovewing tries to get her to come, but Ivypool forces Dovewing through the portal and begins scratching it out so that Dovewing can't return. Then Ivypool uses a shard of the meteor to destroy the portal. She turns and heads back towards the meteor.
Bramblestar and Squirrelflight defeat the last Dark Forest warriors who are invading ThunderClan. They look across the lake and notice that the attack is mainly focused in RiverClan territory. Bramblestar calls for all warriors who can still fight to join him as he heads to RiverClan territory to stop the Dark Forest invasion.
Ivypool is in the Dark Forest, fighting her way through groups of warriors as she heads for the meteor. She finally manages to reach it, and notices one of Lion's circles surrounding it. Ivypool's blood leaks onto the ground, and she collapses next to the meteor. An army of Dark Forest warriors appears and begins to head towards Ivypool and the meteor.
In RiverClan, Mothwing continues to fight Hawkfrost, but starts to weaken. Hawkfrost says that he is invincible, so he will defeat Mothwing. Hawkfrost pins down Mothwing and prepares for the killing blow, but Breezepelt arrives and knocks Hawkfrost off of Mothwing. He then uses his power to remove the darkness from Hawkfrost, rendering him mortal. Mothwing does a finishing blow on Hawkfrost, and it's power literally shatters him. Most of the shards turn into darkness and disappear, but Hollowflight notices a kit version of Hawkfrost lying on the ground, so he puts him in the nursery.
The ThunderClan cats and the Tribe of Rushing Water arrive in RiverClan to help with the battle. Millie sees Blossomfall surrounded by Dark Forest warriors, who are led by Sparrowfeather. Millie helps Blossomfall and apologizes to her. Blossomfall weakly smiles, and Millie sees a large wound on her. Blossomfall falls to the ground, and Millie begs her daughter not to go just after they made amends. Blossomfall says that it's alright, as all she really wanted in life was to be accepted by her mother. Blossomfall dies, and Millie runs at Sparrowfeather and kills her. Millie goes back to Blossomfall and closes her eyes, saying that her daughter's spirit can rest in peace now.
Ivypool lies in front of the meteor, bleeding onto the grass. She gazes at the Dark Forest warriors weakly, and her vision starts becoming blurry. She whispers that the end has come. Then her memories of ThunderClan flash before her eyes, and her look of submission becomes one of defiance. With great pain, Ivypool stands up and unsheathes her claws. Then she cries out, "Listen up, all you warriors of the Dark Forest! I'm not going to give in and die some meaningless death. If this really is the end, then I, Ivypool of ThunderClan, will take you with me. Do you want this meteor? Come and get it!" The Dark Forest warriors rush forward and Ivypool grins.
In RiverClan territory, all the Clans are fighting the Dark Forest warriors together. More Dark Forest warriors rush forward, and Midnight says that they've reached the last wave. Bramblestar yells that the Clans will finally finish the Dark Forest and find the peace they sought after for so long. The Dark Forest warriors and the Clan cats charge at each other.
In the tunnels, Lion has managed to drag himself to the circle. He slowly dissolves, and begins screaming about how he will destroy the Clans. Dark Sol enters the room and asks Lion if his injuries can be healed. Lion beckons Dark Sol over to the circle, and Dark Sol walks forward.
The scene cuts back to RiverClan, where the battle with the Dark Forest is nearly finished. Lionblaze defeats a few Dark Forest warriors and looks for more.
Dark Sol reaches Lion, who slits his throat. Dark Sol asks why Lion betrayed him, and Lion replies that he needed a sacrifice. Lion then puts his paws in the circle.
In the Dark Forest, Ivypool is standing in the circle surrounding the meteor, and the Dark Forest warriors are charging towards her. She prepares for her last stand, but the circle starts glowing and there is a blinding flash.
In RiverClan, the heroes defeat the last few Dark Forest warriors. Bramblestar says that the final battle is over, but then someone asks him if he's sure that it is. The cats turn and see Lion enter RiverClan cat in his true form: a majestic lion. Lion explains that he has eaten the Dark Forest, making him even stronger than when he was at his full power. Lion attacks the cats and throws them aside easily, lazily blocking their attacks. Then he says that he is going to the gathering island to activate the final circle and use the Clan cats as a sacrifice to consume the whole world. After Lion leaves, Midnight says that his sudden craziness must be a result of absorbing the cats of the Dark Forest. The cats vow to stop Lion's pointless destruction, charging towards the Gathering Island for the true final battle.
Ivypool finds that all of her wounds have been healed, and the Dark Forest warriors, who had bee outside the circle, have vanished. She turns toward the meteor and wonders how to destroy it. Then Mapleshade appears from behind the meteor, and she is no longer fading. Mapleshade explains that the circle must have healed their wounds, and the final battle between Ivypool and Mapleshade begins.
The cats arrive at the gathering island and begin fighting Lion. However, their attacks are useless because Lion is invincible. The heroes look to be on the losing side, but Firestar arrives with a group of StarClan warriors to aid them.
Ivypool's final battle with Mapleshade continues. Ivypool says that she'll get revenge for all the lives Mapleshade has taken, causing Mapleshade to sneer at her. They continue to fight.
The cats keep fighting Lion. Lion sends a spear of darkness at Jayfeather, but Half Moon takes the blow for him. Half Moon tells Jayfeather that the four have to keep living, but Jayfeather asks how he'll be able to live without Half Moon. Half Moon expresses her love of Jayfeather again, and then her spirit dies. Jayfeather cries out to the stars that he's useless when in matters most, and the rest of the four come beside him. Lion stares at them and muses that even the chosen heroes are useless.
Ivypool and Mapleshade both begin to tire. They both look eyes and nod, then leap at each other for the final strike.
Lionblaze tells Jayfeather to focus all his anger on Lion. Then Dovewing says that even though Lion is strong, he can't take away the hope of the Clans. The four and Lion charge towards each other.
Ivypool strikes Mapleshade and defeats her. Then Mapleshade thanks Ivypool for one last battle and tells her that she has grown strong. Ivypool asks Mapleshade what she means, and Mapleshade says that if Lion needed a sacrifice to gain his power, a sacrifice should be able to take it away. She puts her paw on Ivypool's blood, which had fallen in the shape of a circle. Mapleshade dies, and her sacrifice destroys the meteor. The Dark Forest crumbles around Ivypool, and she falls through a portal.
Ivypool appears before the cats, and a circle appears on Lion. Ivypool aims a blow at Lion, but he urgently knocks it away. Breezepelt says that Lion seems very protective of his circle, then runs at him. Lion impales Breezepelt, but Breezepelt uses the last of his strength to touch the circle and purge the darkness from it. Breezepelt falls out of Lion's paws and dies next to Nightcloud, thanking her as he passes away. Lion's immortality is gone, and the cats attack him with everything they've got. The battle rages on, and eventually Jayfeather, Ivypool, Lionblaze, Dovewing, and Firestar deal the last blow to defeat Lion forever.
After the battle ends, the cats mourn their fallen allies. Bramblestar says that now peace has truly come, and that they should honour the sacrifices of their Clanmates. Onestar died during the battle, and Jayfeather explains that it was because he had sacrificed six of his lives to help ThunderClan, but never told anyone. Ashfoot becomes leader and appoints appoints Nightcloud as her deputy. Mistystar appoints Hollowflight as deputy, since Reedwhisker died earlier in the movie. Lionblaze tries to cheer Jayfeather up, but he leaves for the Moonpool.
At the Moonpool, Jayfeather finds Rock. Rock says that the pieces have been assembled, and it is time for him to finally die. Jayfeather asks Rock if spirits who die are destroyed forever. Rock replies that the spirits are merely sleeping. Rock says that Jayfeather has his gratitude, and closes his eyes. Rock falls down into the Moonpool and explodes into millions of lights. Jayfeather sighs and heads back to the camp.
At the camp, Briarlight walks out of the medicine den, shocking all the cats. Jayfeather returns to the camp, and Graystripe asks if Briarlight can be a warrior now. Briarlight says that it is the duty of the strong to protect the weak, then asks Jayfeather if he will take her on as medicine apprentice. Jayfeather agrees, then retires to his den, frustrated.
A few days later, Cinderheart is having her kits. Jayfeather and Briarlight are delivering them, and Lionblaze says that one of Cinderheart's kits looks just like Hollyleaf. Jayfeather says, "I can see that, Lionblaze." Lionblaze apologizes before realizing that Jayfeather just said that he could see. Jayfeather says that the lights Rock became when he died gave him sight. Cinderheart delivers three kits, and Jayfeather is about to leave when Briarlight says that there is another kit. The kit comes out, and it looks like Half Moon. Jayfeather says her name, and Cinderheart hears part of what he said. She says that Moonkit would be a lovely name for her kit. Jayfeather leaves the den and says that the world is more beautiful than it ever was in his dreams. Jayfeather whispers, "Thank you Rock, for awakening a sleeping soul for me."
The film cuts many moons ahead. Purdy has ended a long story with the words, "And here ends the story of Firestar the hero and the four with the stars in their paws." It is revealed that he was telling the story to Cinderheart's kits, Moonpaw, Firepaw, Breezepaw, and Hollypaw. Hollypaw thanks Purdy for the story, and Purdy says that he'd tell stories to the kits any time they want. Firepaw says that it was great to learn how the legendary past hero Firestar went from a kittypet to the saviour of the Clans. Hollypaw leaves the nursery and goes to see Jayfeather, who is as much of a father to Cinderheart's kits as Lionblaze is. Jayfeather tells Hollypaw that he has to go the the medicine cat meeting, and that the RiverClan cat Hawkpaw is going to be officially recognized as Mothwing's apprentice.
The Clan is doing well, and there's a shot of Dovewing and Ivypool watching some kits play-fight. Just to troll the audience, the kits are drawn so that their father could be either Bumblestripe or Tigerheart, and their mother could be either Ivypool or Dovewing. Squirrelflight comes up behind Hollypaw, and Hollypaw explains that one day she wants to be Clan Leader. Squirrelflight says that if Hollypaw nods. Squirrelflight and Hollypaw look up at the stars, and Midnight gives a narration about how the Clans have found peace.
The credits roll, and various images are shown of the minor characters which reveal who they ended up with, and what their fate was. The last image shows all the main characters standing together happily.
After the credits, a scene plays. Icecloud is walking by the lake and humming to herself, and something washes up on the shore. She turns around and sees that it's Scourge's body. Icecloud goes over to the body and nudges it. Suddenly, Scourge's eyes snap open.
The End?
The End?
