Several moons go by. Snowpaw transfers to being a medicine cat apprentice, and eventually gains his full name. One day, Leafstar, Mooseleaf, Angelwing, and Rowanspirit discover Squirrelheart in the forest. Apparently, he never died, but Branchlight simply left him for dead, assuming that he would die. Angelwing and Mooseleaf stay behind whilst Leafstar decides how to deal with the situation.
