Rowanstar decides that since Barkkit and Crowfire died, the only choice is for her to have more kits to continue the legacy and protect the Clans from The Dark Ones, whoever they may be. She becomes pregnant by an unknown tom, continuing her duties. That night, Angelwing, Squirrelheart, and Mooseleaf visit her in her dreams, thanking her for her choice, and assuring her that they are safe. In return for all the three cats have done for the Clan, the next day, Rowanstar announces that the story of the three toms will be passed down in AppleClan history for as long as they are proud and loyal to their Clan, to prevent Angelwing, Squirrelheart, and Mooseleaf from ever fading in StarClan.
