Apparently enraged by their latest defeat and wishing to be victorious, HollyClan launches an ambush when AppleClan is asleep. Many cats die or are seriously injured. Among the dead are Mooseleaf, Berrywhisker, Angelwing, and Flowerpaw. Largeblossom’s ear is badly torn, alongside her multiple other injuries force her to stay in the medicine cat’s den for a moon.
