Springstar and the other leaders - Beechstar, Fangstar, and Minnowstar - decide that the Clans must find a new home within the next moon, or all four Clans will surely perish. Springstar returns to her Clan to inform them of this, and Sablewish, Lanapelt, and Chillstream decide to go ahead with cats from the other cats on a reconnaissance mission.
