Quietsong walked out of the camp and looked for more feverfew "I want to help, but it always daisypaw, she's not a full medince cat apprentice!" She mew quietly.

Nodding, Dreamwave began to lead the way back to camp. Quickly, she stopped, smelling a familiar cat scent this time. She glared ahead of her, her tail now low, but her tail tip twitching. "Bluepool! I know you're out there, come here! I thought you were supposed to be helping out your clanmates for once? What exactly are you doing?"

Quietsong notice the patrol and didn't bother to see to them, she was to jealous to look at her clan mates, so she walk to the place, near the fox attack, not even trying to see if anyone was their.

When Paintpaw's mentor lashed out at Whisperwing's own apprentice, she felt her fur rise as she wanted to defend Daisypaw. But she knew fighting wouldn't make the situation any better, so she gently brushed Robinwhisper's fur, and nodded to the outside of the medicine den. Speaking softly, she said, "I know it can be very difficult watching one's apprentice go through something like this. Paintpaw is indeed in tremendous pain and she needs her mentor by her side. However, I am afraid that the den might be a little crowded right now, and Daisypaw, Quietsong and I need to focus while we are changing her poultices. Perhaps you could go hunting and bring her back something to eat for when she wakes up?" The white medicine cat suggested calmly, fully understanding the guilt and protective nature Robinwhisper was feeling right now, but knowing that having a den full of angry she cats was no way to make Paintpaw better.

Goldenstrike perked his ears and looked at Dreamwave. He couldn’t see Bluepool, but he could definitely smell her. He had heard a lot of her since he’s came to the Clan, about how she would go to the river and swim way to much, and did weird things in general. He thought she’d be a fun cat to talk to, but he hadn’t found the right time to interact with her.

Robinwhisper felt her ears flatten to her head and her tail lower. She was ashamed of herself for taking her anger out on sweet Daisypaw. She raised her eyes to look at Whisperwing, and they were filled with an unspoken plea to help in any way possible. She knew Whisperwing could empthize with her sorrow for her apprentice, but it still felt like no cat knew her turmoil deep down. She sighed deeply; "I'll go organize a sundown patrol." The setting sun was sending deep red streams of light through the entrance of the medicine den, and Robinwhisper knew no cat would want to go on patrol the next morning on an empty stomach. She stood awkwardly, shaking her silky, tabby calico pelt softly before padding out of the den in a morose way. She stopped at the entrance to cast one last longing look at her apprentice before conceding and walking to the entrance of camp. The trees in the camp were casting looming shadows, and the ground carried a deep orange and red overlay that was both comforting and sad at the same time. Without an apprentice to go hunting with, and with Bluepool and Dreamwave out of camp she felt truly lonely.

Hawkjaw padded around the camp clearing a few times to nod about to warriors in need of any help. He felt sick to think he could be patrolling the borders or hunting for his clan, but an ailment held him from his normal duties. He was never one to be in camp for very long. As the sun began to set on his tremendously long day, he reflected over what had happened since sunrise and felt himself getting nauseous, so he sat in the center of the cleaning to watch clan life happen. The first signs of a true leaf-fall sunfall were upon them, the yellow sun turning to a golden orb in the sky that cast dusky orange beams into the maples and yews that littered the camp. He had never watched such a thing before, but it captured his attention long enough for him to fall asleep in the center of camp, a golden ray shining softly on him as he dozed.

Feeling more rested and less sore, Skystar stepped out of his den. By first glance around the camp, he noticed Rainbelly, and could tell that the tom was feeling uncomfortable. Collecting himself before approaching Rainbelly, Skystar padded over slowly. His side still burned like fire, but he was sure to put his clanmates first. "Rainbelly... you're not looking too well. Would you like me to ask Whisperwing to look at you?" he asked quietly. Rainbelly lifted his gaze from his paws, entire body straightening and a little startled as Skystar slowly approached him. His eyes strayed to the way their leader was favouring one side over the other tenderly, but quickly jumped back to make eye-contact, slipping into his sheepishly-friendly persona. "Oh, hello Skystar! There's uh-" The tom tried to steady his voice, "-there's no need for that, I'm okay. After all, I'm not injured or anything. Whisperwing needs to focus on healing." Rainbelly tried to offer an easy smile, quietly flexing his back claws. "How about you, though?"

Slowly stepping out of the brush and undergrowth begrudgingly, Bluepool was obviously ill-tempered. "Strawberryleaf and I were just out patrolling. We decided to come down here, because we figured that we're less likely to be in danger. We know the foxes were up north. You probably thought the same." It irked Bluepool to have to be explaining all of this to her mother, basically trying to convince her that she wasn't out for trouble or causing any issues for the Clan.

"That's nice of you to consider that," Skystar replied, before letting out a sigh. "Honestly, I'm fine. I think Hawkjaw took a bigger hit than I did for sure. We're both doing okay aside from that; maybe just a sunrise or two from now we'll be better. I'm not the eager young tom I once was, but I'm no where close to joining Loudstep in the elder's den." He laughed a little, hoping his calm demeanor would comfort Rainbelly a little. He could tell the tom was feeling uncomfortable and probably anxious, but he knew that the Clan needed to work as whole better now more than ever.

Rainbelly eased visibly, mentally shoving the re-bubbling anxiety back down behind his placed attitude and slipping into a more comfortable role. He tilted his head and offered a very brief tail touch to Skystar's shoulder, along with a more genuine and toned down smile. "Seems like you've still got a lot of fight-" The tom winced at the word, "-left in you. I'm sure someone owes you their ear after your help. But to be safe, I hope you got that side checked, or will." he quickly added after the praise, flicking his tail.

"Ha, well actually, Goldenstrike lost a good portion of one," he joked. He knew how Rainbelly never wanted to be involved in such tasks, those that involved violence and fighting. He hoped that Rainbelly would possibly adjust or maybe even be willing to discuss it though. "I'm hoping you'll possibly be willing to join some cats on a later patrol? Maybe a dawn one, if you're up for it. I know Hawkjaw has been trying to organize some patrols, but he's needing some rest as well." He looked to his side when Rainbelly mentioned treatment. "Oh, no worries, Daisypaw refused to let me go without checking me earlier. I've had all the treatment I need for this."

"That's good, making sure is important." Rainbelly nodded to himself at Skystar's reply, letting the joke about Goldenstrike's ear pass over him without ruffling his fur with worry, but then abruptly stopped when he mentioned the patrols. That twist of dread in his gut wasn't doing any good, maybe he'd jinxed himself by staying in camp? He sighed, trying not to look unwilling even as his shoulders sagged, he'd been avoiding patrol duty for a while and the leader had no doubt noticed that pattern. The foxes were gone now, if not by dawn, anyway. "Of course, I could go on one of the dawn patrols tomorrow. Have the other cats already been organized?" He owed it to everyone, especially Paintpaw and those who'd been hurt in the attack, to do something as simple as that.

Shaking his head, Skystar replied, "I'm unaware. I overheard Hawkjaw speaking with Dreamwave earlier, asking if she'll lead one, but she's the only cat I know of already going. I might join, if we need some more cats to join..." he said thoughtfully, more to himself than Rainbelly. His side still burned, yes, but if another cat was needed for a patrol, he'd be willing to go.

Robinwhisper raised her head to look up at Waterfur, her doe-like amber eyes flashing with happiness at the chance to do something other than worry about Paintpaw. "I actually was, care to join? We can call it a patrol." She licked her paw and rubbed her ear, noticing Brokennose looking a bit apprehensive. "Everything okay Brokennose?" she questioned.

(Well the whole reason my username is Brokennose and the OC's name is Brokennose is cause of an OC I made.He got hit by a monster on the thunderpath and it messed him up.I can change that for this RP if you need me to)

"I see." Rainbelly replied, glancing at the medicine cat den for a moment as he remembered something, a ritual he sometimes went to during confusing times. The tom's eyes widened as he did so, quickly returning to meet Skystar's, his entire body straightening.
"Oh! By the way, I'd like to ask permission to go out, alone?" The evening sun was setting soon, bringing with it the gradual drop of temperature and a steady stream of clan-mates returning from patrols, hunting and training, worn out from their busy day, so the forest was unusually empty. Which went completely against what the leader had advised, and with everyone in camp, an especially bad time to go out; but Rainbelly wished to consult his sister's resting place with the last few rays of sunlight he could snag."I would only be a few moments, before the dark settles in. I wish to go to the dry territory bordering Somber Lake." He murmured quietly, a little pleading as he knew how outrageous the idea sounded.

Skystar was silent for several moments. Being older than Rainbelly himself, he had suspicions as to why Rainbelly may want to leave camp to go to Somber Lake alone, but it bit against every instinct he had. He wanted to say yes, but he especially wanted to say no. He knew how dangerous it was out in the territory, especially at this time when the sun was setting. Any predator lingering about would likely be lurking at this time. Despite this, he looked to Rainbelly with a reply. "You... can... but be back before the sun finishes setting, otherwise I'll send the whole Clan out after you. You see anything, don't bother messing with it, fox or not," Skystar warned. He felt like he could be letting Rainbelly down by letting him leave, going against his judgement as a leader.

Once she had suggested to Robinwhisper that she should go hunting, Whisperwing padded back into the medicine cat den where her apprentices waited. "Alright, now let's change the poultices on this side." She mewed softly, licking Paintpaw's head reassuringly a few times before gesturing for Daisypaw to repeat the holding back of the fur that she had done on the previous side. As the apprentice gave her access to the wounds, Whisperwing gently applied the marigold to Paintpaw's injuries.

Rainbelly felt like a tight clawed grip on his chest had been released, bowing his head gratefully to Skystar. It was a wonder how he'd gotten him to agree to him so simply, but perhaps that was just how understanding he was. "Thank you, I promise I will be back soon enough!" He waved his tail in farewell, quickly trotting out of the camp entrance and barely bumping shoulders with a passing apprentice. There was quite a way to go before reaching the lake, including crossing over Slumbering Stream.
The evening air felt cold on the tom's whiskers as he whizzed past the trees and tore through the grass, sending up sprays of dew that clung to the fur on his underbelly. Through the gaps in the the trees, he could see the sky's beginnings of bleeding into darker hues, accompanied with the buzzing and chirping of nightly insects waking up all around. On the tip of his tongue, he tasted the misty air of the nearby stream, and flicked his ears at the tiny flying bugs threatening to take over his fur. Rainbelly crossed in a few moments, the shallow water weak enough to wade through, even if he'd slipped on some of the stones buried in the sandy bed. He padded down the length of the Broken River, coming to a slow stop at the edge of the grass, before the ground turned to squelching, paw sucking mud.
The dark, murky expanse of glimmering water stretched out before him, his sister's resting place. The tabby sat on his haunches, touching his nose to the dirt and closing his eyes. "Tadpoletail," He mumbled, "give me strength, so I may get over my fears and help my clan better." Never had his sister, or anyone, replied; but it gave him solace anyway.

Robinwhisper twitched her whiskers slightly, bringing her attention to the real world in front of her. "Alright, let's head out." she meowed softly, leading the way out of the camp entrance. The forest was quiet and she speculated that many prey animals would be beginning to sleep now that the day was coming to an end. After a long, silent time she finally heard the noises of a scuttling creature in the undergrowth beside a small yew tree covered in moss. She turned to Waterfur and Brokennose, pointing her tail in the direction of the noise she heard.
