Rosestorm set hers down too, purring proudly. Looking at Duskwhisker, she smiled. "Absolutely. Though I could also bring it to the medicine cats and we could eat something else. It's enough to feed all three of them." She replied proudly, grabbing the rabbit and tugging it off the pile of fresh-kill.

Robinwhisper nodded to the orange tabby apprentice and lead the way out of camp. Once the two had gone beyond the fronds which guarded the entrance, she waved her tail high in the air. She still felt a little unconfident in her ability to battle train a cat larger than she, so she decided she would tackle it head on. "Want to go toward whispering trees to do some battle training?" She asked eagerly, "We can do some hunting on the way there." Turning to Flightpaw, she could feel herself loosening up a bit. She had felt so tense with what had happened with Casper, but she felt that she could now pour her energy into helping Flightpaw earn his warrior name.

Smallpaw looked at Deerleg and nodded, sighing softly. Getting up, she bounded off and found a puddle. It wasn't the cleanest, but it'd work enough. Laying down, she quickly rolled in the water, cleaning as much of the mud off her as possible before she shook out her pelt. Shaking her paws as she joined her mentor again, she crouched from a different direction from the branch, watching it closely, ready to go again the second her mentor said go, eyes narrowed. Moving her legs right under her, she patiently judged her pounce. Deerleg observed his apprentice's positioning. He looked at her paw placement, and quickly said, "Tuck your bag legs in just... a hair length more..." he said. "Then go ahead and pounce!"

He padded just a tad behind Robinwhisper, excited to do some battle training again. He knew that Robinwhisper wasn't his equal in size like Hawkjaw had been, but he knew that she had been his apprentice, just like himself. Flightpaw doubted that the training style would be any different, due to this fact, so he felt like it would come to him like it had before.

"So what moves have you and Hawkjaw been practicing?" Robinwhisper asked as they were approaching Whispering Trees. When she had been Hawkjaw's apprentice they had mainly practiced things that would let her, a small cat, have a leg up when in battle. Things like belly rakes, teeth grips, tail yanks, and defense moves. She figured Flightpaw would need to learn things on top of his opponent, figuring he towered over most cats, even at his young age.

(heya! softlight sounds fine. also, i haven't done this in a few years, so i might be a tad rusty lol)
Sun shined brightly through the warrior's den, and Stormtangle blinked awake. Narrowing her eyes against the bright light, she yawned and stretched before groggily slinking out of the den. Emerging into the camp clearing, she felt her stomach rumble before glancing at the fresh-kill-pile. A little prey wouldn't hurt before I start my day. She thought to herself. She trotted over and grabbed a tasty morsel, a finch, and settled down to begin eating.

"Mainly front attacks and shaking," he replied thoughtfully to Robinwhisper. He figured that since Robinwhisper was a smaller cat, she'd have more knowledge and experience using the opposite kind of moves. "Hopefully I can learn what you have to offer... I'm not too graceful on my paws," the orange tom gingerly admitted, looking at the earth as they walked.

I'm not too graceful on my paws," the orange tom gingerly admitted, looking at the earth as they walked. Robinwhisper laughed softly, "That's okay, not every cat is born nimble, but it can always be taught!" She looked ahead and put some pep in her step, Whispering Trees was right in front of them. Partly clouded sun barely shone through the tops of the trees once they were beneath them. "Okay." she mewed, coming to a stop in the middle of the clearing. "Show me a move you know, and I'll counteract it with one of my moves. From there I'll better assess your 'gracefulness'." Her voice had a challenging edge to it to inspire Flightpaw.

[Haha, okii]
Softlight had been slowly eating his mouse beside the fresh kill pile when he noticed Stormtangle pad over. He nodded to her in greeting, still chewing on a bite he had taken. He still felt a little chilly after the recent rain, and even his fluffy coat didn't prevent him from shivering during this morning.

Flightpaw nodded once to Robinwhisper, his expression now all business. He quietly waited, assessing how she stood and where. He balanced himself on all four of his paws and started taking steps in the right direction, then the left. He charged towards her, changing directions every few paws steps, then reared up on his hind legs to bring his weight down.

Flightpaw came at Robinwhisper fast, but she was prepared. She quickly rolled of striking distance of the tom's paws before he could come down, scrambling to her paws as soon as she could. "Faster!" she exclaimed, the exhilaration of simulated battle exciting her. She once again bent her legs ever so slightly, preparing for another move from the tom.

Duskwhisker nodded. βWeβll give that to them first and then we can pick something else,β he agreed. They walked to the medicine den with Rosestorm dragging the rabbit with her. He entered the den to see Daisypaw sitting with the newcomers. βWe have a rabbit for you and the other medicine cats,β Duskwhisker told the apprentice.
Daisypaw smiled a little. βThank you!β she said, nodding to the two older warriors.

(Great! I never posted in an eternity, so, here I am. Here is a response.) Silverpaw nodded to Thunderfoot. "I would love to go out training." He straightened, trying to look as fit as possible. "I haven't gone training today, so a perfect time would be now." He exclaimed, with an anticipated flick of his tail. "Thank Starclan for something to do," he whispered to himself.

Smallpaw obeyed and tucked her paws under her a bit more, wiggling her hips. Watching the twig, she took a slow breath and leapt. Landing much closer and much steadier than last time, she still didn't quite make it, only a few paw steps away. Sighing, she turned and bounded back over to Deerleg, getting back into position. Putting more power in leaping forwards instead of higher, she pushed again, this time landing hard enough on the twig to snap her. Tail up victoriously, she looked back at Deerleg, gold eyes glowing.

Rosestorm carried the rabbit to the medicine cat den and set it down, flashing a sideways glance at the strange cats. Standing tall, she nodded to Daisypaw with a happy purr. She turned and headed back to the fresh kill pile, tail brushing Duskwhisker's flank as she turned. Sitting down, she sorted through what they caught, waiting for the tom to catch up before they chose.

Duskwhisker purred quietly for a second at the tail brush, but kept a straight face and walked behind her. He sat down at the pile and looked pensively at it. βI think you should still choose, since you got the bigger prey,β he said, meeting her gaze. His tail flicked happily.

Rosestorm looked at him and laughed, grabbing one of the bird that Duskwhisker had caught. Mumbling around a mouthful of feathers, she carried it over to the side and set it down in a sunny patch, laying down to wait for him to take the first bite, gently plucking feathers from the bird.

"Faster!" she exclaimed, the exhilaration of simulated battle exciting her. She once again bent her legs ever so slightly, preparing for another move from the tom. The tom looked almost surprised, but it only lasted for a heartbeat. He got back into his stance almost instantly, going at Robinwhisper again, moving in different directions to not show what side he'd be coming from. He leaped at her left, his sheathed paw making a low swipe towards her side.

"Now, are you ready to try it on some birds again?" he inquired, his amber eyes clear and happy that she had done so well.
