"Well, judging by what I've heard from a few of my friends,Starclan stop to help."Crowsong chuckled. He had talked to some of the kittypets and rogues he'd met along the way. "Oh." Rainsong said as she kept walking with Crowsong. She assumed the gorge was around the corner as she saw more rocky structures powdered with snow. "It's beautiful here, in a strange way."

Hawkjaw's head was spinning at trying to keep up with the she-cats fast paced words. "Oh, yes. Just trying to stock up before everything goes underground." he meowed gruffly. He loosened his stance and padded a pawlength in front of her. "Since you're here, we can hunt together and double our efforts." he suggested, whiskers twitching. He hadn't exactly wanted to join any cat today, as he wanted to be alone with his thoughts, but he figured the she-cat would realize he didn't talk much and follow in suit. Peachblush let's out a hum of agreement before following after the tom's paw steps. She tried not to talk as they ventured on into the woods but she couldn't really stand the silence that lingered in the air. βYou don't talk much do you?β She questions softly as she gazes around at the falling leaves that fluttered down from the trees.

"I can agree," Quailwish replied to Petaldusk, nodding her head as she spoke. She was trudging along through the new piles of snow, feeling completely weighed down, and couldn't even imagine how Petaldusk felt with it clumping in her fur. Opalheart was a little poofier than she, but he never complained about the snow, so she never thought about it bothering him. "I feel as graceful as a badger," she muttered.

Dreamwave huffed. "Well, you shouldn't let that happen. Now's not the time to be laying around or looking at the scenery." The gray she-cat glanced at the lake once, then turned back to Foxstep. "You could have frozen to death had we not found you, the way you just sat there."

"Whatever mischevious things you have on your mind, I suggest you let them wait until you're an apprentice," Loudstep meowed, almost knowing what Firekit was thinking. "Leafbare is very dangerous, especially for kits. So you better stay close to your mother, you hear?"

"Are you mouse-brained?" Bluepool yelled after her sister, bolting after her and trying to catch up. As if it wasn't hard enough when there was NO snow, now she has to challenge me to a race when there is?! The blue she-cat took after her, waddling ungracefully through the piles and drifts, looking like a tumbling weed as she toppled over several of them.

The silence of the snowy atmosphere around him had been serene to Hawkjaw, but upon hearing Peachblush's words he let out a huff of laughter. "Oh, only when I need to, really." he replied calmly. Cats had often asked him about his quiet demeanor, but her question had kind of caught him off guard. He glanced around at the scenery for a moment. "I just don't think it's very useful when.. hunting." he admitted absentmindedly. He parted his jaws to take in his surroundings for prey. There were no sounds, no smells, and no tastes around indicative of prey. Plus everything echoes in Leafbare, he added to himself before flicking his tail for Peachblush to follow him deeper into the forest.

Jasminefoot glanced around camp wildly, fur standing on end. "Firekit..?!" she called, missing the ginger she-cat from her nest after taking headcount. "Firekit, this is not game! Come here now!"

Robinwhisper laughed loudly over her shoulder as her sister tripped and scooted about the forest. Her laughter was short-lived however as she realized too late a snow drift below a tree was coming towards her extremely quick. She skidded directly into the snow. As she lay there, embarrassed at heckling her sister when she did the same thing, she began to laugh even louder. "Wow Bluepool, looks like against the snow we're the same." She gathered herself and climbed out of the drift.

Foxstep laughed at Dreamwave's concerns and bopped her nose with her paw. "Calm yourself. I don't plan on freezing my fur off." She said and walked passed the two warriors. "And there's nothing wrong with stopping to smell the roses." She ended.
Firekit mewed, "I wasn't planning anything! I'm just admiring the view." She ended with a purr. "I would NEVER leave my mother's side." Her eyes glittered as she wagged her tail

"Heh, that's what you get!" Bluepool yelled loudly from within a large pile of snow at the base of a tree. She scrambled out, making fluffy snow fly everywhere, climbing out as if she was squirming through a tight hole. Once she was out, she was shivering and breathing heavily, her distaste for the event obvious on her face. "Not my favorite thing... still."

Dreamwave flicked her tail with annoyance at the gesture, shaking her head as well. Her ears flattened as she watch Foxstep pass them, before she and Flightwhisker followed after her, each picking up a piece of prey that they had caught.

(Oops, didn't see that.)
"I'm here, mom!" Firekit mewed with Loudstep still carrying her. "I was talking to Loudstep, that's all!" She said proudly. She'd managed to walk from the nursery to the elder's den in the snow.
Foxstep acted as if the warriors weren't behind her. She hummed to herself oddly as she searched for prey. She stopped for a minute, had she spotted something? Nope. She just sneezed. She shook her pelt and kept walking, she looked up at a bird's nest but decided not to hunt it as she knew it had eggs. Finally, she saw a rabbit nibbling on a piece of grass poking out of the snow.

Petaldusk / Meadowbreeze ;;
Meadowbreeze overheared Qualwishβs muttering and huffed in amusement. βSame here. I think Iβve stumbled over..β Her eyes narrowed in thought. βAbout 50 rocks? I canβt keep track.β Petaldusk shook her head at her littermate in exasperation but felt the same. Although she could hardly notice because her paws were so numb. βI hope we get there soon,β Petaldusk fretted softly. βI canβt feel my paws.β

Gently, Loudstep set Firekit down beside the nursery, out of the snow. He used his paw to slightly brush some of the snow off of her again, then nodded as if in approval. "She's here, Jasminefoot," he meowed.

Firekit gave a big and innocent smile to her mother as if she had done no wrong. She also puffed up her fur to make her look cuter. "Just listening to the wise Loudstep."
Blackscale sat at the edge of the camp, no one was there to stop him. He could freely go out and do as he please, but he knew he'd be scolded for leaving in his current state. His wounds were healing up and his face no longer hurt.

Jasminefoot sighed in huge relief, rushing to her kit. She met eyes with Loudstep, her eyes communicating it all. "Thank you...thank you," she nodded, then looked down at her daughter. Despite the kit's innocent front, Jasminefoot was NOT persuaded "What you thinking?! Wandering off in snow by yourself!" she exclaimed. "You KNOW I tell you, 'stay outside nursery where I can see you'. But instead you do not listen, and run off!" Jasminefoot huffed, not used to being so ruffled up. She fumed but did not yell. "You stay in nursery with me for rest of day. Since you cannot listen."

Firekit pouted, "But it's boring in here!" She complained as her fur spiked up. "It's not like I was alone, there was Loudstep and that warrior with the messed up face. Pretty sure a couple others saw me. I stand out in the snow with my fur color."

She returned to the nest and dropped her inside. "I trusted you to listen to me. You did not. I am very disappointed," she frowned, sitting beside Firekit. Her eyes clouded over with sadness, that brief moment of terror and fear when she couldn't find Firekit would scar her. "I thought, you smarter than that."

βBut you DID find me.β Her little ears then dropped as she saw the sadness in her motherβs eye. She sighed and pressed against her, βIβm sorry.β She muttered with a sigh. She didnβt like worrying her mother but she wanted to be free from the nursery as soon as possible.

Jasminefoot looked down as she felt something press into her side. She smiled slightly, finally breaking the tension by giving Firekit a lick on the head. "You don't have to deceive me, Fire," she whispered softly. "If you wanted to visit, you should have asked me first. I would have been happy to show you around camp."

Firekit nodded with a small mew. She laid down and rested her head on her mother's paws. "Can you show me the camp later?" She muttered before she gave a loud yawn.
Rainsong nodded, her paws were getting tired as she looked up at the sky. She saw the sky turn into a sweet orange, the sun was slowly setting.

The rabbit sat up and looked towards the direction of the bark. Foxstep gave a sweet purr as she circled to the back of the rabbit and pounced. She bit the rabbit's tail and dragged it close to her. She quickly then pinned it down and killed it but biting it's neck. She picked up the mouse and rabbit and turned to Dreamwave and Flightwhisker. She gave them a smile before she turned and kept walking.

Stormtangle nodded in agreement. "Newleaf is wonderful," she purred, snuggling closer to the tom. Her own mottled pelt had begun to fluff up against the cold, and in the moment she greatly enjoyed the warmth of medicine den as well as being with Softlight. "But right now, I almost wish I could stay in my nest forever." "Is that nest really that comfortable?" the tom joked, laughing at his own words briefly. "If it really is, then I'll decide to stay in here as well... to keep you company of course! It has nothing to do with getting a super soft nest," he meowed, darting his eyes around suspiciously, narrowing them as if someone might overhear. Stormtangle glanced around as well, satisfied to realize that both medicine cats were gone and they were the only ones in the den. Should... should I tell Softlight that I really like him? The young she-cat's heart had begin to pound as she nervously considered the question. It was obvious enough that she had been dropping hints, but didn't know if the tom felt the same way about her. If he's just being a good friend because I'm injured, I wouldn't want to ruin our relationship by telling him my true feelings.

Paintpaw, unable to speak with the pieces of prey in her mouth, nodded appreciatively. She spat out the mouse and waited for Krestelpaw, trying to drag the rabbit along as they went. She was older than Krestelpaw, so she figured she should carry it, though snow was collecting on it and weighing it down, making it quite the task. Kestrelpaw picked up the mouse and plodded through the deep snow. He flicked his tail in annoyance at the cold weather, and glanced over at Paintpaw. She seemed to be struggling, but Kestrelpaw kept his mouth shut. He knew that it would probably be a blow to her pride if he pointed out that she needed help. The apprentice was very proud of himself for thinking before he blurted something out. After a moment's thought, he realized that maybe Paintpaw wasn't like that and she would appreciate the help. He shook his head, banishing the conflicting thoughts, and left things as is.
