We are Open ! Erebokinesis is full - do not join with an erebo cat! Apprentices are closed.
a few moons ago... With the tepid air causing a light breeze, palm tree fronds flapped in the wind while heat drenched onto a feline's back. Among this feline were several others, smaller in size with anticipation beating through their paws as their eyes stayed lit and focused on the larger feline before them.
Not much of a word was spoken for the younger felines continued to chatter among themselves, spreading the word of frenzy in response to a slight impatience that stirred low in them. A loud yet sudden grumble sent their heads into the direction of a bi-color she-cat, whose moss green eyes held a gentle yet somehow miffed glance. "We don't have time to chat among ourselves anymore," Clearstar mewed sternly, gaze resting on the most talkative apprentice of the group. "Just because you have freedom from camp now doesn't mean it's going to be any different."
A few of the young felines' ears flattened against their skulls in shame while another just rolled their pale colored eyes in annoyance. This event was everything to them-- it was more than being brought into the world and even more than receiving a dream of their elemental kinesis. This is where the real work began whether they liked it or not.
One of the apprentices spoke up, their bright amber eyes appearing peeved by the actions of their peers. Their fur was ruffled and sticking out of all places while their flat maw wrinkled, clearly showing irritation. "I just want to learn how to use my power!" Vinepaw whined.
A soft snort came from a fellow apprentice, his cream-colored coat flickering in the sunlight. "That's only because you love to fight, Vinepaw," Canarypaw remarked, rolling his striking green eyes.
Soon enough, Vinepaw's nostrils were flaring and their eyes were narrowed while they crouched down their body to the forest floor. It almost seemed that they were prepared to attack the rowdy Canarypaw, who was also prepared to leap at their fellow denmate. A large silver tabby tom stepped between the two, his green eyes holding a steely gaze. "That's enough, you two," he meowed sternly before he put himself between the two apprentices.
Clearstar eyed both apprentices warily as she got to her paws before flicking her tail at Vinepaw, asking the young feline to come forward. "Let's try something," she mewed to the group and the young Persian padded over proudly. "Vinepaw, why don't you spar with Canarypaw like you wanted to?"
Taken aback by the chieftess' suggestion, Stormpelt eyed the bi-color she-cat curiously, only to realize that Canarypaw had slipped off and was standing next to Vinepaw now. Neither apprentice replied to Clearstar for their eyes were only on each other.
"Ready?" Stormpelt and Clearstar mewed loudly in unison.
"Ready!" the apprentices replied.
"Go!"
In a matter of seconds, Vinepaw leapt at Canarypaw with sheathed claws and a menacing look in their amber eyes. Canarypaw was crouched down as if he were preparing to leap up instead of succumbing to Vinepaw's attack. And there it began, the first spar of the season, between a feline of photokinesis and geokinesis.
As the two young cats tussled in the dirt of the clearing, Stormpelt came to sit next to Clearstar, out of the way; a low amused purr rumbled in his throat as they watched Vinepaw and Canarypaw. "I'm interested in seeing how they'll work with their mentors."
Clearstar shook her head, her eyes light with humor. "I've seen quite a few sporadic trainees since becoming Chieftess," she mused, gently curling her tail around her paws. "They'll turn into fine warriors; they all do." — Directory —welcome to the clan ☄ ● Post 01 — intro, directory ➥ You are here.

— Role Play Rules —follow all rules ☄ — [ # 1 ] This includes the forum rules. If you can't follow these rules, then please don't join because if you break them, you get ONE (1) warning, and the next time you'll be deleted. The terms for deletion will be listed below. This role play was co created by a forum mod as well, so things are a little more strict than an average role play. ● Owners — The owners are, well, the owners of the role play. We, ⋆ ɑetɧeɾ « and Sand , created this Clan. We will allow one (1) other Mod of the role play to keep a lookout for things if we are offline, but they have minimal power since they won't be able to do much such as editing or rule bringing. However, average members of the role play must listen to them if they tell/warn you about things, or we'll be told, and then we are to do action. Do not ask to become our Mod as we will choose in the meantime━it will also be an unbiased, fair choice.
● Respect — Don't be mean, like, seriously. Don't bug people to reply, don't be rude about anything, or just━just don't be rude. Be respectful to everyone on the role play. This means you as a person, not your character.
● No Spamming — Any trolling or spamming or any weird nonsense will be ignored and reported. Do not give the user any feedback to their posts, you ignore them as if they weren't there. Just report their post and move on.
● Anything Else? — If there's something we missed, or if you have ANY questions at all, you talk to one/both of the owners and see if something should be added or to see if your question could be answered. If it's a bad idea and you have a hunch if it'll end badly, don't do it alright? If you second-guess, it's usually wrong.
● Have Fun! — This is supposed to be a fun little idea, don't make it a chore!
activity ☄ — [ # 2 ] Now, here's the deal. You are allowed to have a life outside the forums lol, and you're allowed to be in other role plays, but you must remember this one once you're a member. Two weeks of absence and you'll be deleted. Only exceptions are if you have a strict online limit or something, only have so many hours to be on, have a job, etc. Another exception are holidays and/or school; but in order to use this as an excused absence, you MUST tell the owners, and we'll mark you until your return. But don't abuse this, because if you do return and never come back to this role play, then you'll be marked as inactive. ● Terms of Deletion — Once you're deleted from this Clan━whether it be from rule-breaking or inactiveness, whatever━and you are still interested in this Clan, you may tell the owner and you'll be on the 'suspended' list; this meaning, you'll be basically in time out for about a week, and if you're willing to wait, you'll be re-added into the Clan. But that will be your only chance; break the rules again or become inactive, then you're permanently out and your characters will be written to die in illness/battle. So, keep this in mind, and just follow the rules, okay?
● Literacy — This Clan is a literate role play. This meaning, you must write in full complete sentences, use correct grammar and punctuation and such. Your replies must have at least 5-7 sentences. This allows your partner(s) to completely understand what you're projecting, what your character looks like, is doing, where they're at and what they're saying. Use 'awesome' words! (Meaning, don't just use "said" "and then" etc because those are boring.) There's plenty of places on the web to extend vocabulary. This rule is for you to know that we do not role play with "They sat down."; "They laughed."; etc.
powers & abilities ☄ — [ # 3 ] As this is not an average Clan role play, we do have powerful cats. Below in the information will have a more detailed explanation of said powers, but to state here in the rules, here's what you need to know. Not every cat is the same, but they are also not extremely powerful━even if they are high in the ranks with moons of experience. Not every cat is a master at the start━and not every cat can be a prodigy. They start with nothing, and they grow learning. To refer to a rule above, do not make a mary sue/gary stue with your powerful cat; they are to not godmod or powerplay, or they will be ignored. Also, if you are joining as a rogue/loner, they are to not have powers UNLESS SPECIFIED that they were exhiled, but exhilation must have a legitimate, serious reason. More information about powers are down below. ● Powerplay — Don't be an attention seeker! Don't make your character the best of the best, or not get any hits in a fight, or kill everything in sight. It's kinda boring, really, and a bit annoying. Yeah, the cats have powers, but there's rules and limitations to them! Godmodding and spotlighting are literally the worst, so don't have your character(s) do anything that's powerplaying because if you do, you'll be ignored until you get the point.
● Power Ratio — Just like rank and gender ratios, we would like to keep all powers evenly spread out in the clan. The regulations of the powers will be explained better in the Powers section, but for a brief rule, please be aware to even things out with your characters. We wouldn't want 15 pyrokinetics and only 2 or 3 of the rest, and etc. The idea is for everyone to have an even number due to mentoring and training customs—a pyro trains a pyro, hydro's train hydro's, and so on.
joining ☄ — [ # 4 ] All joining for the Clan or rogues/loners will be on the joining page provided in the Important Links section below. You must state what group you'll be joining, and fill out each section of the form to the best of your ability. DETAILS ARE A MUST! We want to be able to picture your character vividly in mind when we read the form. It doesn't have to be long, however, but it must not be three sentences long if put together in a paragraph. ● Plot & Planning — Don't plot/plan anything major; if you discuss what could be a cool idea, you must tell it to the owners, and we'll decide whether to do it or not. If we agree to do it, then we'll announce it as such.
● The Books — They technically wouldn't exist in this universe, but I'm not going to stop you if you name a cat after someone in the books; just make sure it abides by the terminology and guidelines provided.
characters ☄ — [ # 5 ] DO NOT MAKE YOUR CHARACTER A GOD. If they were human, I would use that as a reference, but they are living things that get hurt and have flaws and are not perfect. Mary Sues/Gary Stues will be declined immediately. Give your character some flaws to balance with their strengths, give them some fault to their code, you know what I mean? (Clumsiness is not a flaw, by the way. Neither is shyness unless it's used correctly and not just slapped onto your form.) ● Realism — Other than the fact we're role playing talking cats in the wilderness like everything is peachy keen with elemental powers, be real with things! No rainbow or glittery fur, no extremely abnormal eye color, no bangs for crying out loud. Only exceptions will be violet and red eyes; violet meaning a pale purple-y/blue color, and red for IF AND ONLY IF your cat is albino (and, for albino cats, if their eyes are a pale pinkish red their sight is slightly poor, OR if they have pale blue eyes then they are usually deaf. Keep this in mind.) Keep things real! Use realistic feline breeds and styles as a guide! There are PLENTY of cat breed websites around the web, use them!
● LGBT+ Are Allowed — We do accept LGBT+ characters in this role play! In regards to that, please be respectful. As for same-sex mates, we have a system where surrogate mothers and donor fathers are allowed so wlw/mlm mates can have families if they so wish—they are also available for cats who cannot produce due to unfortunate circumstances. However, if you’re in need of a surrogate/donor, please ask anyone who has an available cat before assuming! (You can also just make up a nameless npc if you don’t want the hassle).
● Clan Positions — Do not ask to be an important role (leader or deputy) right off the bat; first of all, role play owners will be the Clan leader and deputy by default. And, like the books, the leader will be in charge of ceremonies and appoint mentors and apprentices and such. On your forms, you may request warrior names and future roles if you join as an apprentice/kit, that way you'll be given what you want. Only thing is if there's already a medicine cat apprentice and someone requests to be the same role, you'll be declined.
● Queens & Kits — You may join as a kit! But you must join with a mother, though. Only exceptions will be if their mother died and the kit is raised by denmothers, the other nursing queens (IF AVAILABLE)━you must ask those character's owners FIRST, however. Otherwise, you must have the kit's mother there to raise your character, and if you please, they can be discarded or be left as a neutral character to be role played by anyone in need of a free character.
● Character Ratios — Normally there isn't a problem with rank/gender ratios, but to keep things fairly even before the role play gets too complex, here's the rule. For every Clan rogue/loner you make, you gotta make a Clan member. For every tom/she-cat you create, make the opposite gender. For every apprentice/warrior you create, of either age section, create the opposite. It helps keep things even!
role play posts ☄ — [ # 6 ] To keep role playing neat, organized, and helpful to everyone, we are going to be using a standardized role play post layout with information about whichever character you're using. We will provide an easy copy/paste code if you don't know how to properly code, but you are also welcome to use your own! Every post layout must contain the same information regardless if you use the code given or your own. More information about post layouts are down below. They are required for role play posts only, so you don't have to change your personal post layout. They are an absolute must so that it helps everyone know who you're role playing, with whom (a tag is needed), where, what time, etc. ● In-RP Time — To keep everything on the same page, there will not be divided times or time skips for a couple of people, etc. We are to all stay on the same time of day, etc, to keep plots lined up. If you are confused on where everyone is, just look at the latest role play posts as they have the information. Only the owners will change the times if things need to be moved forward.
● No Kit-__ing — Anything like this will be ignored, and if happening more than once, anyone responsible will be reported and ignored until the problem is solved. Only exception is kit-stealing, and that will ONLY be accepted by our own members who role play the outsiders for plot advancement and the like. But not from random people from other pages, just no, you'll be ignored.

— Clan History —how we began ☄ Many years ago, when the island was fresh and green, lush of wildlife and bird-song, the clan of kinetic cats had a beginning.
It began when a transport ship crashed into a neighboring island a mile or two away, the island nothing but rock-face, no life. It’s contents spilled across the turquoise waters, wooden crates and various carrier boxes that held a feline or two, floating for days. Only fate and the lingering hope they had left took charge of the waves, sending them to the larger island beyond. Once free of their cages did they finally meet face to face. Some wore collars, some had tags clipped to their ears, various wore nothing but the salty fur on their backs. It only took a moment for them to realize there was no way to return home.
Most cats stayed together out of fear of the tropical mysteries the island held past the beach. Survival was key, and it was a struggle as well; the fish they caught in the shore was too salty to choke down—if they could manage to catch any fish in the crashing waves. Some managed to snag a bird or two, but the cats were starving and desperate, not wanting to share a morsel with each other. While some tried to be friendly and positive, as they were all in this trouble together, others preferred to live independently—or tried to.
The island held many new threats the cats had never encountered before in their sheltered lives: various wildlife that could appear as prey hunted them; huge scaled creatures took off with a few stragglers who dared to travel alone in the night; even poisonous flora killed a couple of unsuspecting felines who desperately tried to live off plants when catching prey was all for naught. The beautiful island was beginning to become a nightmare that haunted the stranded animals.
And, unfortunately, it got worse.
The tall mountain in the middle of the island began to rumble, heavy smoke filtering in the air, turning the bright colors of the day to grayscale; the cats had trouble seeing and breathing properly, having to stay to the beach but even that wasn't helping. It was when the rumbling quake of the island shook the ground under their paws and the bright glowing liquid fire started to drip down the island did the cats have to make a choice; flee to the sea, or find immediate shelter within the island. Some took to the water with fear and no hope, but most of the stragglers plowed through the dark forest beyond, hoping, searching, even praying for shelter. It was almost unbearable to maneuver as the smoke was heavy and thick in the brush as they traveled.
To their relief, the liquid fire didn't burn the island immediately, but they knew their time was running out quickly. But before all hope was lost, they found a slithering river in the middle of the island the next day—it was ruddy with debris and ash but mostly clean, cleaner than the salt water they've been sipping on since their arrival. After resting for a short moment, they decided to follow the water, and to their surprise, they found hidden caves not too far away. Their triumph was short lived when the growling mountain boomed, shaking the earth. They had no choice but to trust the caves that rested above ground level.
The large group of cats hid in the caves for days with minimal food; the river trickled into the cave in a small branch, so they at least had fresh water to drink and stay hydrated in the extreme heat the island and liquid fire provided. They were forced to eat some of the lush vegetation along the water's edge.
It was the longest week of their lives, but soon the smoke cleared and the liquid fire stopped; all that was left was charred black stone, hot to the touch, leaving most of the island scorched and dead. It was a disastrous mess, and it only brought the group's emotions to a new low. They almost had no chance in the beginning, but now it was almost impossible to thrive when most of the island was dead and they were already lacking most of the skills to live in such a world.
Volunteers to seek out a way of help left the presumed campsite, leaving the sheltered area that was relatively safe. The group consisted of four cats who were determined to find something to stay alive. Leaving behind the caves that rested on the higher ground, they carefully traversed to lower ground, skirting the charred rock the liquid fire left behind. They managed to find some straggling prey and proceeded to chase, but the sloppy actions caused some fragile rock to collapse underneath them, sending them tumbling down a tunneling cave. The cave was deep into the ground; the air was strikingly a cooler difference than the heat above ground, the stone damp and chilling to the touch. It took a moment for the cats to shake off the startled feeling to look around the sparkling cave.
A tiny hole in the roof of the cave filtered a veil of blue light, illuminating the dreary area. A small silver pool laid peacefully in the center—no source of the water was in sight.
The four felines roamed the cool cave curiously but ultimately met to the pool where their reflections shimmered undisturbed in the water's surface. The water didn't mirror the cave, only sparkling stars that blinked and glowed behind the cats' awed expressions. In the center of the pool, buried in the sand, were four colored stones; red, blue, green and violet, each radiating a soft glow. Each cat took one of the stones, looking at them carefully. But at their touch did they experience a surge of teeth-clenching pain that only lasted for a brief moment; a quick electric shock surged through their veins, their bones, all through their system. It felt like years had passed in the single millisecond when they touched the stones. But they would later find out that those very stones gave them the power they could only imagine.
Some time had passed since the horrific volcano erupted and ruined the island. The four cats who were given strange elemental-based abilities had slowly learned what they meant, how they could use them. It took many, many days to work on rebuilding the island, restoring the way it originally was when the cats first came to the island. The volcano didn't erupt anymore, staying dormant for many years to come.
Not long later did the island became livable again; full of life, thriving, vibrant and full of color. The cats who stayed at the river cave decided to make the cave a home. Some paired up and had families over time, others provided security and took care of hunting. It was suggested and logical that the four became a form of leadership since they were clearly the strongest; somehow nature chose them to be given such powers, and they decided to use them to protect and shape their group. Over time, they, too, had families—only to find out their young inherited the abilities.
It wasn't long before the other cats on the island steered clear of the ever-growing powerful group. They preferred to live independently rather than live by rules the clan of cats developed. And with a new generation of powered cats arriving, it was evident that the clan would consist of only power that the rogues couldn't compete with.
The group named themselves TidalClan, after the tidal waves that brought them to the island. And as the next generation grew, power intermingling between the felines, and life on the island was becoming easier and better, it wasn't long before a queen birthed a pair of twins that didn't fit either power, but was given a new set: the power of light and the power of darkness.
With six powers circulating through the clan now, many generations later, TidalClan was bigger and stronger than ever.
— About the Clan —who we are ☄ Seeing as TidalClan is isolated from any other inhabitants besides their own and the few that straggled away from the mainland, there's not much to tell. Due to the torrid yet lush weather they get, the felines are built to withstand sultry temperatures and balmy winds. Pelts of vibrant shades and earthy tones are the norm among the clan. Browns, oranges, and tortoiseshells are the most common. As for eye colors, greens and yellows of multiple shades are found peering through the tropical ferns. When it comes to size, males are a tad larger than the females, but not by much as it's a close call. As all TidalClan cats possess powers, it is hard to decide on a mantra for a clan with so many felines possessing different skills, traits, and, to be blunt, power. Most of these felines tend to stay within the personality of their elemental kinetics, but it isn't unheard of them straying from it.
Cats outside the clan are not common, though they do exist; stragglers from the beginning of time stayed away from clan life and had their own families, much like the ones in TidalClan. It is against the clan law to accept rogues and loners into clan ranks as they didn't inherit the Ability to use powers. Kits of rogues who sometimes leave their young behind or disappear are usually taken in so that predators do not get ahold of them.
Ranks for the cats of TidalClan differ as there are a variation in roles. The following list explains the ranks of the clan along with their duties:
Chief/Chieftess: The leader of the clan, whose word is law. This cat gives out instructions and orders to their vice while they are held responsible for guiding the clan. The chief/chieftess spends a majority of their time conducting clanmates by assigning apprentices a mentor, holding ceremonies and announcements.
Vice: The vice is the second in command to the chief/chieftess. This cat organizes and leads patrols along with mentoring their own apprentice. They also take on other tasks that the chief may assign to them. This cat only has one (1) power which they were assigned as an apprentice. If the chief is ill, injured, or too weak to continue on, they are the successor.
Healers: The healers are the cats who care for the ill and injured felines of the clan. They treat any diseases or illnesses that the sick may have. Along with this, they sometimes receive omens or prophecies from the Ebbing Warriors, the ancestors of TidalClan. There are normally two (2) healers at a time and usually an apprentice (or two) that are mentored by them.
Warriors: There are two factions to the warrior rank: guard and hunter. The guards protect the clan by either fighting for it [the clan], patrolling the borders, and securing the camp. As for the hunters, they hunt to feed the clan and make sure the fresh-kill pile is stocked and filled regularly. Both factions have an apprentice to mentor and train. A warrior has one (1) power which they were assigned as an apprentice.
Apprentices: Apprentices are the young cats in training to become a warrior, though they learn the trades of both factions. They have one (1) power which they were assigned at the beginning of their training. They only have one (1) mentor, who holds the same power as them and this mentor teaches them the trades of a hunter and a guard. Once an apprentice has reached the end of their training, they will choose a faction to belong to as a warrior.
Denmothers: Denmothers are she-cats (female) who carry or nurse kittens. Some denmothers are surrogates for a pair of mates if they cannot conceive a litter. It is rare when a denmother is a permanent role for a she-cat for she normally returns to her warrior duties after her kittens are apprenticed. They have one (1) power which they too were assigned as an apprentice. Denmothers do not find out the power of their young until they become an apprentice.
Kittens: Kittens are the youngest of the clan and possess no power until they become an apprentice. They spend most of their time sleeping, eating, or playing with other cats.
Seniors: The eldest cats of the clan, the seniors are seen as a sign of wisdom and are to be treated with respect. They are former warriors (hunters or guards), denmothers, and sometimes healers or vices, and rarely chief/chieftesses. A majority of these seniors only have one (1) power which they were assigned as an apprentice. — TideClan Territory —the island ☄ A moderately small island, TidalClan is distant, severed from other islands and other land forms alike. Though their home isn't as large as it appears to be, they make the most of their land as they can. Nonetheless, the flora grows abundantly on this tropical isle along with the fauna that prowl in the shadows. ● The Sleepy Volcano — Resting on the east side of the island, The Sleepy Volcano is mistaken as a threat, as something that might cause havoc and disaster among those living on the isle. However, this is far from the truth. This volcano has yet to erupt in over 20 years (240 moons) and is quite dormant for a fissure of its age. Despite it being inactive, the volcano is a feature to the clan. It is blackened and browned from its eruptions years ago and the once hot red lava that streamed down its side is froze in place, crusted over with darkness.
● The Barren Plateau — The Barren Plateau is quite steep as it towers over the land below. It can see almost everything over the island, including the stunning turquoise water. There are several levels to the plateau, but the cats of TidalClan stick to the lower parts. Scattered bits of grass are found across this landform along with sparse plants and sometimes nests for birds. There isn't much to be found here unless one is looking for a great viewpoint when hunting or to keep an eye on the dormant volcano.
● Tide Cliff — Tide Cliff is found on the west end of the island. A very rocky precipice, the cliff juts out over the crashing waves and sandy beaches below. Made of sharp, jagged jet black rock the cliff is not one made for scaling. The rock itself is barren and is not safe to stand on for falling would be the feline's ultimatum. Despite its dangerous attributes, Tide Cliff is the perfect getaway if one wishes to clear their head.
● Acuales Forest — From lush greens to sunny yellows to bright oranges and reds, the Acuales Forest blooms with color. Full of palm trees of many kinds like coconut, betel nut, African oil, sago and fiji, these trees come in many sizes. Whereas some are taller than others and produce fruit, they provide great shade due to their large, fan-like leaf shape. Evergreen vines swoop down from tree top to tree top, layering the forest with tropical ferns and vines. Flowers such as heliconias, orchids, frangipanis, and bromeliads are situated throughout along with sandalwood trees found at the edge of the grove. There are also fruit growing plants such as pineapple, banana, and papaya trees spotted few and far between. The Acuales Forest is also home to exotic birds and some Komodo dragons.
● Serpentine's River — Drifting away from the ocean's waves, Serpentine's River is a long, twisting body of water. As it crosses directly through the center of the island, it is met by the Stavewood Waterfall. The river is the main source for the clan as it holds fresh water and their most common prey, fish. The current differs throughout the season as the tropics are capricious. There is a sandy edge on both sides of the river with small shrubs and various plants along with rocky pebbles.
● Central Bluff & Stavewood Waterfall — The Central Bluff, just like its name, is found more central to the island. A spouting waterfall cascades down its front, creating a simple pool of water. Smooth, pebble-like rocks protrude out of the still waters and layer the bottom. Known well by the clan cats, there is fish to be found here, making it an ideal place to hunt. The only problem is when the river's current grows strong, the harder it is to catch fish.
● Komodo Dragon Caves — The clan's most dangerous predator known as Komodo Dragons live within these caves. Dark and damp to the touch, the caves are full of fish and frog for prey as a small pool of water washes in and out. The Komodo Dragon Cave has bowed, grazed walls which expand into an immensely long corridor-like area that leads into two other separate caves. The first is smaller and wide with muddy grounds that appear to be more like a safe spot for the predators. As for the second cave, it is spacious being that it is where the Komodo Dragons live. They do leave their home to hunt in the afternoons where they dig burrows and hide until they find prey. This is one of the dangerous parts of TidalClan's territory for a feline could come across a Komodo Dragon and be attacked and ends in fatality. However, it is possible that a cat survives the attack or may not come across these creatures. Either way, one must keep a cautious eye out for them.
● Astral Cave — Home to TidalClan's ancestors, Astral Cave is a resting place for those that have passed on into the afterlife. The cave itself is different than one would expect due to its odd lighting. There are some cracks through the cave where sunlight shines through which illuminates the sacred place. Some say it's compared to the ancestors watching over them or that it is a sign of good or bad happenings. Somewhat dark and dreary, part of the cave is reserved for the deceased and the other is left empty as if they are the next spots for those who pass among the moons to come. It is a wide, vast area with claw marks etched into the rock. It's unknown if the claw marks are from past medicine cats and leaders or, as a tale told, the ancestors who grew angry in their sleep. The bodies of former clanmates are put to rest in the Astral Cave once the medicine cat and their apprentice prepare them for the retreat to the cave. They are then buried there by warriors with the leader, family members (or close friends), and the medicine cat in attendance.
the camp ☄ Not far from the Astral Cave, TidalClan's camp is similar but not the same in many ways. It's nestled near the edge of the higher part of the land, almost right above the Astral Cave. The entrance to the camp is covered by vines and dips down into a burrow-like cave where clan gatherings are held. Once past the main cave, a small tunnel is home to the mothers and kits, that being the nursery. It’s well protected and offers safety for the she-cats and their young.
After exiting the small tunnel, there is an average sized sandy clearing with a little creek running through it which stems off of Serpentine’s River. Rocks of multiple sizes surround the creek and create stepping stones which jut out at different directions.
Nearby are several sets of boulders, each being a den full of warm nests for each clanmate. The first boulder is somewhat smaller and assigned to the elders. Next to the elder’s den is the apprentice’s den which is a wide boulder, covered in moss. Across the clearing are three other dens. The first, furthest to the left is the warrior’s den. It is a large, deep boulder that is split into two sections: one side is for the warriors and the other, senior warriors.
Beside that den is a small, narrow boulder which is reserved for the leader. Two empty boulders sit next to it and, finally, comes the healers' den. It’s large yet vast boulder where one part is reserved for the healers' herb storage and patients. The second part is for the healer themselves though it’s not always occupied.
— Clan Law —our honorable code ☄ ● # 1 — Chief's word is TideClan's code. If the leader dies or retires, the deputy will rise to their position.
● # 2 — Seniors, kittens, and denmothers are always to be fed first. The ill and wounded may also eat at this time, but it is an exception to the rule.
● # 3 — A kitten becomes an apprentice at 6 moons. However, some are held back due to injury or risks.
● # 4 — A vice must have one apprentice before being chosen for the position. Otherwise the selection is not valid.
● # 5 — If a vice is to die/retire/be exiled before they success their predecessor, a new one must be chosen in two sunsets.
● # 6 — Prey is only killed to be eaten, obviously. Thank the Ebbing Warriors for its life.
● # 7 — Borders are marked and checked daily unless otherwise noted.
● # 8 — One night after receiving their warrior name, a warrior is to hold a silent vigil.
● # 9 — Self defense is the only exception to killing another feline unless it is outside of TideClan's code. If another feline is murdered, their killer is exiled as soon as possible.
● # 10 — Healers are allowed to have a mate and kits. However, both healers cannot be expecting [kits] at the same time if they are both female.
● # 11 — It is absolutely forbidden to allow outsiders join the clan.

— Elemental Kinetics —pyrokinesis ☄ — [ f i r e ] Those chosen to hold the power of fire will have a multitude of abilities. They appear to be the most lethal in battle, the more strongest in a fight. However, all elemental kinetics can be as lethal and powerful as the fire, yet this particular can do most damage. A pyrokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Flame Resistance — the ability to not be harmed by extreme heat and fire itself unless it is of tremendous strength, such as a forest fire or molten lava ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Flame Reading — the ability to read omens, prophecies, and/or see visions; this ability is mostly a practice learned by medicinal felines who are closer with the Clan's spiritual ancestors. The readings are not always accurate, however ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ | ✿
● Fire Cloak — the ability to cover any portion of their body with a flickering flame - such as their paws, fangs, tail, etc. If the fire is uncontrollable (such as for a young apprentice) or an opposing enemy is fighting, this fire can be put out and the cat is fine [see 'flame-throwing' for additional abilities] ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Flame-Throwing — in addition to fire cloak, one can cover their tail in flame and learn to whip and flick their tail tip to produce and throw small fireballs at enemies or objects ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Living Flame — the ability to become fire itself, not just coating themselves. This ability is the most powerful skill among the pyrokinetics, but it is also the most dangerous; one can start a wildfire if not too careful. Also, if the fire is put out before the user can return to their normal state, they will be severely weakened, or die. The cat must turn back to a full-bodied feline before this happens ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Fire Spitting — the ability where a cat can spit fire. At its weakest, felines can only spit a few small sparks; however, if properly trained, they can then spew a steady stream of flame. They must be careful on the direction, as they could start a serious danger to the wildlife around, but they could cause severe burns to an opponent ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Flame Manipulation — the ability to control a pre-existing flame in the world; the cat cannot create one out of thin air. They can increase or reduce its intensity, shape it, etc. The level of control varies from cat to cat, but wildfires and volcanic eruptions are generally beyond the control of any cat (however, they can help reduce most damage around these disasters if they focus on the edges of the flames, ending the dangerous trail, halting them in its tracks) ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★
● Spontaneous Combustion — the ability to raise the temperature of any inanimate (non-living) object until it melts or bursts into flame; they cannot use this on other living animals, however ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Radiation — the ability to raise one's own body temperature and radiate heat; overuse can cause temporary internal damage to the user, where they'll become violently ill for a period of time ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ | ⊗
● Weather Mastery Assistance — with the help of aerokinesis, a fire-powered cat can provide some energy to assist in changing the weather and changing the temperatures of various levels of heat ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
hydrokinesis ☄ — [ w a t e r ] Those chosen to hold the power of water are seen as cool personalities - calm and collected. Every cat can be calm and well put together, but the powers are granted via personalities, after all. Felines with hydrokinesis also seem to be a bit arrogant with the pyrokinetic cats, with their opposing abilities; this is simply the clashing personalities. A hydrokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Underwater Respiration — the ability to breathe underwater; every hydrokinetic cat has this ability, however they cannot do so indefinitely. For most cats, the limit is about an hour, but it takes time and patience to grow the skill to train the lungs to hold a breath and learn to filter the water properly ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Wave Reading — the ability to read omens and prophecies, as well as see visions, in any small body of water; this ability is mostly a practice learned by medicinal felines who are closer with the Clan's spiritual ancestors. The readings are not always accurate, however ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ | ✿
● Liquefy — the ability to turn oneself into water. This can prevent injury, or provide camouflage to enemies or prey if the cat is hiding in a pool, stream, the ocean, etc. However, this power can be difficult to maintain, and even dangerous if the water forming the cat is evaporated ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Water Orbs — the ability to form small orbs of water by drawing in moisture from their surroundings and then fling them around using telekinesis ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Water Mastery — the utmost powerful ability to control existing bodies of water using telekinesis. The amount of water that can be controlled varies with the user, but they cannot control extreme large bodies, such as the ocean ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★
● Freezing Water — the ability to change water and general moisture to ice; this is a tricky power, as it's a quick skill to learn, and with the habitat being a hot tropical island, the ice quickly melts. The ability is an easy skill to use in combat or hunting; gathering moisture into an orb, a cat can freeze the orb into ice or soft snow, then use their tail to fling and flick the frozen orb at objects. However, they cannot freeze another animal's blood, as the body heat will prevent the freezing ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Evaporation / Condensation — the ability to change moisture and small gatherings of water into a vapor, then to change a vapor back to gathered water; with a skill learned, a hydrokinetic cat can have help from a pyrokinetic to create steam in a partnered fight ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Weather Mastery Assistance — with the help of aerokinesis, a water-powered cat can provide some energy to assist in changing the weather and creating various levels of torrential storms and/or blizzards ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
aerokinesis ☄ — [ a i r ] Those chosen to hold the power of the air seem to be a little like the hydrokinetics; calm and easy-going. Their abilities are also the kind to be easily judged from other powered felines, as it just appears that these cats simply control air. But that is not necessarily the case, as they can do a lot more than manipulate the wind. An aerokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Prediction — the general ability for all aerokinetic cats to predict changes in the weather; they are extremely sensitive to changes in baromatic pressure. They are not always one-hundred percent accurate, however ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Voice of the Wind — the ability to listen to the wind, and read the patterns of air on various objects such as leaves and dirt; they can make out any voices or other sounds which can prove to be warnings, omens, or prophecies. They won't be able to see any visions like various other kinetics, but with great skill they can listen to get a visual image in their minds; this ability is mostly a practice learned by medicinal felines who are closer with the Clan's spiritual ancestors. However, these are not always accurate ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ | ✿
● Wind Direction — the ability to change the general direction of the wind. No cat is capable of doing this with extremely powerful winds, such as ones from heavy storms ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Dampening — the ability to create a sort of air 'pocket' which dampens any sounds that come from within the pocket. This is useful to temporarily deafen an enemy or prey. The cat cannot affect large areas, however ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Gust — the ability to summon a sudden gust of wind; this can be used on oneself to give a little more height in a jump, or cushion a fall, or used to push and/or pull objects and other animals, such as a battle move. The gust cannot be maintained for very long ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Twister — the ability to summon a small twister (dust devil); though they can choose a general direction, once summoned the twister can no longer be controlled, though it can be dispersed by the cat ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Dematerialize — the ability that a cat can become nothing but a breath of wind. They become invisible and light as air. In this state they cannot be touched, but they also lack the ability to be felt by anyone as anything more than a breeze. They can slip through the smallest of openings. However, they cannot pass through solid objects, only around. As no power can be maintained indefinitely, this one can prove deadly if a cat returns to their normal state at an inopportune moment. This is also one of the most skilled traits to learn, as it takes a long while to control and get used to ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Current Sensitivity — the ability to tune in to the wind currents and become aware of any disruptions. In this way, a cat can pick up on any movement within a certain range. However, distinguishing exactly what is moving around is difficult, if not impossible, even for those experienced with this skill ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Weather Mastery — the ability to temporarily change wind and air patterns to create a small storm, or change the weather, for only a moment; this skill can be helped with the other elements, however. Aerokinetic felines can change wind patterns to blow in or out clouds or calm breezes, but to temporarily change the entire weather, they must need the help of any of the elements. To create a torrential storm or snow, they would need the help of hydrokinetics; to create extreme heat, they would need the help of pyrokinetics; to change seasons for a moment, they would need the help of geokinetics; to create a sunny day or a dark night, they would need the help of both photokinetics and erebokinetics. This is the utmost powerful skill that takes many moons to learn ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
geokinesis ☄ — [ e a r t h ] Those chosen to hold the power of the earth appear to be more peaceful and mellow, though that is usually another kinetic's interpretation. These cats prefer to be out of the caves and enjoying the island's atmosphere. They are also ones who don't mind getting their paws muddy after a rainstorm or getting a little dirt on their fur after hunting or training. A geokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Natural Instinct — the ability to possess an instinctive knowledge of plants, animals, and the living earth around them. They can, for example, intuit which plants are helpful healing herbs and which would be toxic if ingested, and they often see disruptions in nature that others may not notice. This ability is inherited in every geokinetic cat, so not every earth binding feline is foreseen to become a medicinal healer (however, the ability is very useful in that rank) ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ | ✿
● Natural Patterns — the ability to see signs, omens and prophecies in the pattern of leaves on the ground or an arrangement of stones, even the gnarled bark of a tree; this ability is mostly a practice learned by medicinal felines who are closer with the Clan's spiritual ancestors. However, these are not always accurate ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ | ✿
● Tremors — the ability to cause the ground to quake within a radius of up to ten tail-lengths. The power of the tremors vary ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Upheaval — the ability to cause the ground to heave upward, forming a wall around themselves. Creating a wall more than two cats high is rare ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Growth — the ability to restore dead or dying plants, or stimulate the growth of healthy ones. This skill can be very tiring to use ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ | ✿
● Healing Touch — the ability to emit one's own life-energy to heal the wounds of others by simply touching them. Not all wounds can be healed, and depending on the injury, use of this power can be devastating to the user ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ✿
● Summoning — the ability to summon nearby creatures to come to their aid. True communication with the assisting creatures is not possible, but general intent can be understood. This is not recommended for use on any creature which would normally pose a threat ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Vibrations — the ability to feel vibrations through the ground, allowing the cat to sense approaching foot steps or other disturbances, and guess at the general weight of whatever is approaching ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Camouflage — the ability of a cat to turn themselves into stone, allowing them to hide more easily. Though nearly impervious to injury in this form, if the stone is cracked, the cat will be in serious pain for a great amount of time; if the stone is broken or crushed, the cat unfortunately dies ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Weather Mastery Assistance — with the help of aerokinesis, an earth-powered cat can provide some energy to assist in changing the weather and changing the seasons ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
photokinesis ☄ — [ l i g h t ] Those chosen to hold the power of the light could be seen as more graceful, angelic - but only in the assumption of appearances. When a powerful cat harnessing the ability to control Light, the idea of angels and god-like abilities come to mind. However, that is not the case. They merely can control and help dual-power other elemental abilities, such as fire, darkness or air, for example. A photokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Light Absorption — a feline can absorb visible light or its partial wavelengths—while removing it from the source—into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage. The power can be used to enhance themselves to recharge some of their energy or used to charge up some other ability ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Light Bending — one could focus on any existing light energy and bend, morph, swell and throw the energy as a weapon and/or shield. In addition, light bending stems into various other abilities such as holographic projection, invisibility, and visual illusions. Holographic projections can use the trick of lighting to throw out a temporary illuminated image to trick enemies and/or prey; the projection isn't a solid image and works only as a beam of light and cannot be physically touched. Invisibility can be performed by harnessing a feline's own energy to mute their physical appearance, rendering unseen to the naked eye; it takes a lot of experience and practice to perform this maneuver. Lastly, visual illusions are one of the easier abilities to learn; in a little bit of a mix of holographic projections and invisibility, one can temporarily change their image using light illumination and partial invisibility ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Color Manipulation — a cat who can successfully bend light can also use the color spectrum in a beam of light to alter colors of objects, nature, various living beings and even themselves. This talent is temporary however it can be used in camoflaging techiniques ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Light Speed — moving at the speed of light is one of the most powerful—and, ultimately dangerous—ability of a photokinetic. A cat of this power could harness most of their energy to move faster than any living creature on the island, moving in a blink of an eye. It temporarily gives the user a powerful strength that, if used properly, they could attack extremely lethally, using the speed and force to attack and slam into an enemy. It's considered the most dangerous ability of this elemental power because if the user isn't careful, they could jostle their internal organs and create internal damage that could possibly bring death ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Beaming — a feline could harness energy from any light source and project it into a beam of light that could momentarily blind an enemy as well as moderately burn an enemy—not as powerful as a pyrokinetic cat, but enough to produce small burns on skin if directly used ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Shard Throwing — in similar fashion of beaming, one could harness light energy and produce physical light crystals; to do so, the end of the user's tail glows to a brilliant white, and with precise flicks, the user can throw particles of physical light at enemies ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Scorching — similar to shard throwing, a cat could also illuminate their own paws to a brilliant light that could enhance their clawing for attacks and can cause minor burning; if not properly trained and/or used accurately, the user could accidentally burn themselves ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Weather Mastery Assistance — with the help of aerokinesis, a light-powered cat can provide some energy to assist in changing the weather and changing the day settings to various levels of sunny ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
erebokinesis ☄ — [ d a r k n e s s ] (FULL) Those chosen to hold the power of the dark were immediately deemed to be cold-hearted souls; it was a mutated phenomenon from the very beginning in the dawn of the elements. In the beginning, there were only five elements given to the First Ones. But in the next coming of generation, a set of twins in a single litter were born, both presented in the ceremony, and the ancestors were confused on what to do. One was given the accustomed power of Light, and the other was given the assumed opposite: the power of darkness. It became the adopted element, as it created a power, but in the train of events over the years, it has been learned that the Darkness element creates wrongful accusation - and sometimes, a danger. An erebokinetic feline can do various abilities such as; ● Animated Shadow — any erebokinetic cat can transform their or others shadows into living beings. As the rule of anything happening to the real body happens to the shadow, this ability may allow the user to manipulate the shadow and cause damage in reality by using it to attack. This means anything that happens to the shadow will be reflected in the true body; in short, a form of "reverse" shadow puppetry ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Generate Darkness — those who learned to shadow bend and use their general powers, they can learn to generate and project shadows and various forms of darkness in an area to absorb and/or nullify light ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Night Vision — the ability to see in the dark is a unique trait for erebokinetics; since they can harness and work with shadows, it allows the users to see in low light conditions or even total darkness. this talent is a bit dangerous as, if they come across sudden brightness, they might become temporarily blind if the light doesn't harm their sight ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ | ⊗
● Darkness Solidification — felines can solidify or give solid-like properties to darkness/shadows with the level of solidity going from loose jelly to metal-like hardness or beyond. Some could form darkness into various shapes to attack or use as extra limbs, creating tendrils or tentacle-like structures that form along the cat's spine and rib cage ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
● Shadow Absorption — the user can absorb the shadows/darkness—while removing it from the source—into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage, either by enhancing themselves, gaining the drained power, using it as power source etc., either temporarily or permanently. Users who absorb the shadows of others may be able to affect that target in various ways ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Cloaking — cats of erebokinesis can harness the darkness to cloak either themselves or another living being or object ➥ Difficulty Level: ★
● Weather Mastery Assistance — with the help of aerokinesis, a dark-powered cat can provide some energy to assist in changing the weather and changing the day settings to various levels of darkness ➥ Difficulty Level: ★ ★
— Clan Customs —aging chart ☄ KITTENS: 0—6 Moons
APPRENTICES: 6—9 Moons [younger] | healer apprentices chosen at this age 9—12 Moons [older] ➥ Note: May really vary from 6-12/13 Moons depending on the leader; some apprentices may be held back if final training results aren't suitable.
WARRIORS; GUARDS & HUNTERS: ➥ Note: We are now adding years for those who would like to use years, moons, or both. If you do use years, please tell us so we aren't confused. Ages from warriors age on are static; this means your character does not need to stick up to static moon/years. You can mix it up by doing the following: 1 1/2 yrs, or 18 moons. 12 Moons = 1 Year 24 Moons = 2 Years 36 Moons = 3 Years 48 Moons = 4 Years
SENIOR WARRIORS; GUARDS & HUNTERS: 60 Moons = 5 Years 72 Moons = 6 Years 84 Moons = 7 Years
SENIORS: ➥ Note: Depending on some medical conditions or an accident resulting in a medical condition, there is no proper way to age an elder, however, below is to measure cats who are indeed elders by age. 84 Moons = 7 Years 96 Moons = 9 Years 108 Moons = 10 Years 120 Moons = 11 Years 132 Moons = 12 Years 144 Moons = 13 Years 156 Moons = 14 Years 168 Moons = 15 Years ➥ Note: This chart only goes to 15 years considering even domestic cats die from old age around this age. We are in no way stating that you must indeed kill your character off at 168 Moons or 15 years. However, please keep to realism when aging your cats.
SPECIFIC RANKS DENMOTHERS: 18 Moons—84 Moons/7 Years ➥ Note: If your cat becomes a den mother at 18 moons, consider health issues of being so young. This is to kind of keep den mothers at a middle age instead of having a nursery full of 18 moon old cats. When your cat turns seven years, they are at risk for pyometra. I will not explain it, but be warned it you look it up. They are also no longer able to go into heat. Den mothers can only have four litters per year.VICE: 36 Moons/3 Years—84 Moons/7 YearsCHIEF: 36 Moons/3 Years—84 Moons/7 Years [or older] ➥ Note: Chiefs do not have to retire nor do deputies, these are estimations. However, a chief gets a little weaker with each passing life they lose. They are also not immortal, but having nine lives does extend a little bit of their lifespan. apprentice training ☄ Apprenticeship is one of the most exciting moments in a TidalClan cat's life. From the age of six moons, a young apprentice would have waited for an entire moon knowing what power they were given from their Astral ancestors. When they leave the warm nursery and their mother's side behind, they'll look forward to at least six moons of training to become a full Kinetic cat in the clan.
Training starts out slowly; they'll be given a mentor of the same ability as their own and learn how to be comfortable with it. Before, the youngsters weren't able to trigger their abilities—and if they somehow did, it was very weak and very minor, and normally unusual as not every cat could do it that young. Once they learn the trigger, they'll be taught the process to harness and control their emotions to keep the trigger of their power steady. They'll then learn how to maneuver enough energy to try their power for the first time.
Besides learning about their abilities, all apprentices will be taught the basics: fighting and the proper battle moves, including specific techniques that go with their powers; hunting of all variations of prey; border patrols at dawn, midday, and evening—sometimes during the night, depending on the mentor; learning about the ways of Clan life and their Law; and their usual chores such as feeding the clan, helping the healers if needed, taking care of whatever the seniors need, tending to the denmothers' needs if necessary, etc.
Once the mentors believe their apprentices are ready for warriorship at about six moons, the apprentices will undergo an assessment by the chief and/or the vice themselves. The leadership will not make themselves known to the younger cats as they are to fully focus on their assignments, but will be told the outcome by their mentor by the end of the day; if the outcome was promising, they will be ready for warriorship and attend the ritualistic apprentice ceremony by the next evening; if the outcome was less promising, they will be held back by a moon for further training. ceremonies ☄ All of TidalClan is split up in purposeful roles, and each role goes through a significant ceremony to celebrate and prepare the cats for the next stage in their lives, whether its the kittens' first meeting of their ancestors up until a congratulatory retirement for a tired senior, the welcoming of a new healer, a prideful ceremony for a new vice to follow the chief's footsteps. Each rank is looked forward to by cats and the ceremonies are what makes them special. KITS — "ASSIGNMENT CEREMONY": The Assignment Ceremony is the most purest moments a kit will endure. At five moons old, a kit (or group of kits the same age) will be accompanied by a healer and the chief to the Astral Cave, where they are settled by the star pool with sleeping herbs. Once they fall quickly asleep, they are greeted in a glowing clearing in the Astral Realm with six cats—the Original Kinetics, the first who earned the powers. This is the first time the kittens will meet their ancestors, the first powered cats of TidalClan, and this is the most precious moment the Ebbing Warriors experience, as they are meeting a new generation to their ever-growing Clan. Each astral warrior will then choose a kit who fits the power they possess—by personality—and take them down a specific tree tunnel to a realm that represents the power in a safe way, to introduce what the kittens could look forward to without being in danger (however, they are warned of possible extremities, but it never dampens their excitement.) Once they are introduced to what the elemental abilities they will possess, they are taken back to the clearing with the rest of the kittens and undergo the rest of the ceremony. Each Ebbing Warrior will proclaim the words that were spoken for many years, press their muzzles to the soft forehead of the kittens, and pass on the powers to them with a quick harmless shock. Until apprenticeship, they will not be able to trigger their abilities yet, but in the next moon, they will look forward to their training. When they reach six moons, they are presented well-groomed in front of their clan and assigned to a mentor of the same power. APPRENTICES — "ASSESSMENT & CEREMONY": Over the course of their training, once an apprentice is viewed fit for warriorship, their mentor will tell the chief and/or vice. Either that day or the following day, one or both will silently, unknowingly assess the apprentice(s) on their daily duties, viewing their guarding and patrolling, battle training, how they hunt and how much they provide and how quickly. It is determined whether they are fully ready or not, and also what rank they'll be successful in. Once it is decided that the apprentice(s) is/are ready, the following evening will be the ceremony. The ceremony, however, is a Clan-wide event where the apprentices can show off their talents before their clan before being presented to the Ebbing Warriors above for their hard work and willingness to serve their clan. The ceremony consists of two competitions; a one-on-one ranking of safe battling between apprentices who are preferable for being guards, and a hunting contest for the most fresh-kill in a certain amount of time for those preferable to become hunters. Winners are congratulated in front of their clan before the group is given their full name in honor of becoming the cats they were destined to be. Once the ceremony is over, the newly made warriors will sit a silent vigil overnight. HEALERS & HEALER APPRENTICES: Healer apprentices are chosen at nine (9) moons old while they are training as warrior apprentices; this is because healers need to learn the basics of hunting, guarding, fighting, and their powers and how to use them. Once an apprentice has taken more interest in helping a healer (if they need help, which happens when they don't have an apprentice of their own), or they are more attuned to healer-like abilities and tactics, the chief will speak with that apprentice's mentor and an available healer for a solution. If it is agreed, the apprentice will be taken aside for assurance of their future. THey will then undergo the transfer ceremony, an announcement from the chief, and taken to the Astral Cave by their new healer mentor. They will meet with their ancestors in their sleep and fulfill the ceremony in the Astral Realm where they are granted full Astral access and guidance to their new career path. Once becoming a new healer apprentice, they will then learn the ways of that rank—how to recognize healing and dangerous herbs, what does what, how to treat the ill and injured, etcetera. Healer apprentices are not always paired with same-powered mentors, however, and are allowed to return to their former mentor for power-only training if they wish. Once a healer apprentice is ready—in many more moons than a warrior apprentice, as it takes time and patience and experience for the young cats to endure the training and possible hardships a healer goes through—they will be taken back to the Astral Cave to receive their full name and attributes to what it takes to be a healer. The chief will announce their new role to the clan when they return, and then grant allowance to the former mentor a choice: to stay with their former apprentice until they are fully suited and comfortable to be on their own with their partner healer, or the former mentor could return to warrior duties in a rank they prefer; if the mentor is elderly, they may wish to retire to the seniors den if they would like. SENIORS — "RETIREMENT CEREMONY": The seniors are the essential back-bone to the clan, whether it be their hard work paying off from providing for their clan or telling tall tales to the youngsters. They are given the utmost respect as they have earned it rightfully so. When a warrior, or healer, reach their elderly age, they are given full retirement where they can rest up in the warm den and taken care of by their successors. It is rare that a vice or even a chief can retire. Once they are presented with a congratulatory speech from the chief in front of their clan, the apprentices will be given the duty to set up a new nest in the seniors' den for the new member. VICE CHIEF CEREMONY: When a vice becomes the new chief, retires, voluntarily steps down, dies, or is exhiled for crimes, it is mandatory that the current chief to appoint a new vice by two sunsets. When they are appointed, the new vice will be congratulated in the honor of becoming a leadership role. The ceremony is less exciting as others, but it is just as important. CHIEF(TESS) CEREMONY: Once a vice becomes the new chief of the clan after the former dies, retires (rare), or is exiled after being stripped of their extra lives, the vice will be taken to the Astral Cave along with both healers (apprentices included as it is a part of their training). They are put to a heavy sleep induced with medicinal herbs in preparation of what's to come. The new chief-to-be will be welcomed to the Astral Realm by their nine most admired and inspired cats who are closest to them, such as a lost family member, a former mentor, their former chief, etcetera. They are given a speech of what it means to be a chief to TidalClan and what it means to serve and protect the cats from outside dangers such as various wildlife, natural problems, and other animals. They are then struck with a powerful shock of heavenly lightning that takes their life and refilled with the nine lives of a leader, each life given with a purpose and responsibility to lead their clan. Once they awake, they are renewed to full strength and power, taking the '-star' suffix to replace their warrior name. Once they return to camp, they are announced as the new chief of TidalClan and given their first duty as the leader: appoint their successor in the next two nights.

clearstar w/ stormpelt ☄ warriors' den & early morning ☄
The briny air and the soft lit sun was soaked with drizzling rain as Clearstar forced herself out of her den. The sound of light pattering from the rain was hardly heard but because it was so quiet this morning, it seemed as if she could hear everything.
With a quick stretch of her lean limbs, the bicolor she-cat shook out her coat before grooming her chest and front limbs. She found herself to be, in the slightest, presentable for her clan. But before anyone else woke up, she needed to find Stormpelt.
Just a sunset ago, three kits were made apprentices. Komodopaw was apprenticed Ravenflight until he was old enough to join Viperpaw in the medicine cats’ den along with Whiteseed and Orchidbloom. In the meantime, Leopardpaw and Mangopaw were made warrior apprentices. The two would be a good addition to the bustling group that already wreaked havoc on the clan daily. Today’s plan, or so Clearstar was aiming for was to get them with another warrior as soon as possible. After that, she was hoping to split patrols between Stormpelt and herself.
She just had to find the vice and the first place that came to mind was the warriors den. She wasn’t too keen on popping in there as she didn’t want to wake the other felines up, so there was a possibility she could do this quietly. In a steadfast pace, the grey and white she-cat made her way to her destination and popped her head into the cave. It was full of resting felines, some in a deep slumber while others were in a light one. Clearstar’s moss green eyes scoured the den for Stormpelt, who appeared to be asleep.
In a hushed tone, the chieftess mewed, “Stormpelt! Time to wake up.”

Sleep never came quite easy for Canarypaw no matter what was doing on around-- whether it be a change in the weather or experiencing a long, exhausting day, it seemed like nothing could cure his insomnia. However, he was okay with that; it gave him an excuse to cause a tiny bit of chaos in the apprentice's den. He knew his mentor wouldn't approve of it, but it wasn't like Teakwhisker was here, now was he?
His ears pricked up slyly almost as if a sly smirk could have formed on Canarypaw's maw. He had a deep passion for causing trouble and there was no regret to follow. If anything, he got a kick out of it. Of course those on the opposite didn't, but what did that matter to him? It was their fault for being fools, not his.
The elder apprentice stretched slowly in his nest, making snoring loudly on purpose, just to see if any of the other apprentices would wake up. He knew Moonpaw and Spottedpaw had been on the dusk patrol, so he at the least, had a chance of waking those two up. As for the rest of the den, it would be a bit tough but it wasn't anything the spotted tabby could handle. After all, he'd done it before though with a smaller crowd. The new apprentices, including Komodopaw, Mangopaw, and Leopardpaw, were about to experience a very kind welcoming.
Opening one striking green eye, Canarypaw glanced around the cave for any movement. A majority of the apprentices were fast asleep, their sides rising and falling while they continued to doze. It was the perfect moment to wake them up. The cream colored tom pretended to shiver and shake in his nest before letting out a screeching howl.
"HELP! P-PLEASE HELP ME!"
And now came the good part; the reactions of his denmates along with his own deceiving act.

Stormpelt | ♂ | 50 Moons | Erebokinesis [ camp clearing | early morning ]
Clearstar's soft voice awoke Stormpelt from his slumber; he squinted towards the entrance to see the bi-colored leader, and he nodded sleepily to let her know he'll be awake soon. He licked a paw to wash the sleep from his face, noticing the lack of a black pelt in the warriors' den; Ravenflight wasn't in there. Stormpelt figured why, and he knew where she would be. Gently nosing his mate's cheek, he murmured to Birdsong to wake up and get their adoptive daughter. He didn't want her to miss her first day of training her first apprentice, and with the sun rising soon, the day was about to begin. Leaving the comfortable warmth of the den, Stormpelt gave a quick stretch in the camp clearing, shaking his striped fur against the chill; it was in the middle of Wet-Leaf, and his bones could feel it. He wasn't old by any means, but he wasn't a spry young cat anymore. Letting out a soft huff, Stormpelt trotted over to where Clearstar was by her den. "Lovely morning, isn't it?" He said dryly, peering humorously at the chieftess. Stormpelt hadn't been the vice chief for very long—roughly a year, at least—but he and Clearstar were close friends due to training together most of their apprenticeship and into their warrior years. He was shocked to become her vice when she became chieftess, but he took the role seriously over the course of the year. He was a long believer of the Law, except for a few minor exceptions, and he hoped to pass his wisdom along the clan to the best of his ability. "What's the plan for this morning, Clearstar?" he asked with another soft yawn, shifting into a comfortable sitting position next to his leader as he watched the clan begin to stir. "I was considering a morning patrol with the new mentors and apprentices; something easy to start the day with before the mentors do what they plan to do."
[ Sand ] Ravenflight | ♀ | 19 ½ Moons | Erebokinesis [ tide cliff | early morning ]
The scarlet sun slowly rose above the water beyond, turning the waves from a deep indigo to a bright red, the colors spilling out towards the sleeping island. In the middle of a thatch of grass, a curled up ball of black fur slept silently, dewdrops from the drizzling, light rain cloaking her pelt. When the sun crested over the ridge of the cliff, just gracing across her face, she squinted in her slumber before finally blinking awake, her vibrant blue eyes just slits as she gained her bearings. Ravenflight laid there for a moment, unbothered by the dewy wetness that soaked her. She only watched the sun rise over the water, watching the sea change colors. When it turned turquoise did she blink, stretching out her long legs. Tide Cliff was the clan's get-away spot—it was quiet, peaceful, without much of anything to disturb a cat if they sought out a moment of silence to clear their head. It was one of Ravenflight's favorite places to go to think, to be alone, and watch the waters surrounding the island. The day before was when the new apprentices were announced, brand new to the world of apprenticeship and powers. Somehow, Clearstar thought Ravenflight was ready for her own little apprentice, and although she was grateful for the honor, it freaked her out a little to know she has a huge responsibility now. So, Ravenflight went to the only place she could be alone and comprehend this extreme moment in her life, and she must've fallen asleep overnight. "I knew I'd find you up here." Ravenflight glanced over the little clearing to the small treeline where the path went down to the average level of the island; a slender cream-colored cat sat on the damp dirt path, her purpley-blue eyes watching her. Ravenflight let out a soft huff, stretching again before getting to a stand. "How did you know I was up here, Birdsong?" The she-cat chuckled in a soft purr as Ravenflight stepped over to her. "Mother's instinct," she replied. Birdsong blinked softly at her youngest daughter before gently brushing her skinny tail across Ravenflight's fur that bristled with anxiety. "Nervous?" Ravenflight heaved a small sigh, looking at the fading grass in the path as she shuffled her paws anxiously. "Just...worried I won't do well..." The cream-colored cat brushed her muzzle across the black she-cat's cheek. "You'll be fine, Ravenflight. I was scared when I was given my first apprentice, too." Birdsong nosed her daughter's flank playfully. "Now, c'mon—the apprentices should be awaking soon." Ravenflight sheepishly looked at her mother as she fell into step beside her as they left Tide Cliff. "Thanks, Birdsong," she replied, twitching her ears as she listening to the awakening environment around them on the way back to camp. "Oh, don't thank me; thank your father. He's the one who sent me out to fetch you," Birdsong purred. "He didn't want you to be late to the first day of training of this moon." It wasn't long before the two contrastingly-colored females stepped into the camp's cave; Birdsong gave Ravenflight another glance before trotting over to a group of warriors who were waking up in the shade of the clearing, out of the rain momentarily. Ravenflight breathed a quiet sigh before stepping over to the neat fresh-kill pile, nosing for a plump fish that had been brought back fairly recently. She took her breakfast to the small log near the nursery and hoped the cold salty flesh calmed her nerves like it always did. The camp was waking up as the morning began; it wouldn't be long before she would take her first apprentice to explore the island.
[ starter ] Viperpaw | ♂ | 09 Moons | Aerokinesis [ camp — healers' den | early morning ]
Viperpaw had made a habit out of waking up before dawn; it was when the Clan was at it's most peaceful and he could use the precious early hours to sort his stockpile of herbs or gather them when the creatures outside the caves were still asleep. Careful to not disturb the healers who were still asleep in their den, Viperpaw used a trained paw to neaten the piles of leaves and berries and various remedy plants, mumbling as he counted. He would have to go out and gather some more moss later once the sun rises and dries off the dew. But then he remembered that it had been drizzling rain all night and into the morning, s the moss would still be wet; he would have to dry them in the cave, then. Just as he was moving onto the next pile, a soft gust shifted his sorted piles, and Viperpaw sighed audibly. "Flamekit, if you're going to be in here, please stop breathing so heavily." The tiny ginger tabby kitten squeaked softly, scooting away from the pile of herbs, and tried his best to flatten to the soft dirt. "Sorry," Flamekit mewed, his bright blue eyes never moving as he watched Viperpaw re-sort the piles. Viperpaw's ear flicked when he heard something from across the camp; with the Clan being mostly asleep, it was easy to detect soft voices from a few dens away. He heard their chieftess, Clearstar, but another murmur of meowing came from the nursery. "Your mother's awake," he informed the kit. "You might want to head back to her so she won't fret over your whereabouts." Flamekit's whiskers drooped. "But—" he started to protest loudly, but Viperpaw hissed a hush, and the kitten dropped his fuzzy head in apology. "But I want to waaaaatch," he continued in a whisper, unable to hide the soft whine in his young voice. Viperpaw sighed softly, sitting back on his haunches, looking at the tiny kitten in front of him. When Flamekit kept sneaking out of the nursery, Viperpaw adopted the duty to kept returning him back to Bluefeather, who was on edge about her kittens' whereabout early on due to recent tragic events. But once it was evident that Flamekit just was curious and wanted to explore, Viperpaw allowed him to watch his early morning duties until his mother was awake. "You can come back later if your mother allows it; but you better go now—she's looking for you," he added with another ear twitch, and he nodded out the opening of the den to the blue-gray mother peeking out of the nursery, looking around. Flamekit looked over his shoulder at his mother, who locked eyes on him a second later. "Flamekit! C'mon back," Bluefeather mewed softly. Flamekit's ears perked btu he looked back at Viperpaw, eyes round. "You promise I can come back?" he asked, backing out slowly. Viperpaw nodded. "I swear." He nudged a pale yellow blossom towards the kit; "Here—take this honeysuckle and share it with Smokekit." Flamekit's little tail stuck straight up in excitement when he pounced on the flower. "Thanks, Viperpaw!" he mewed before scampering through the thin rain back to his mother. Shaking his head in slight amusement, Viperpaw returned to sorting his herbs; he remembered when he and Canarypaw were that young, always getting into mischief; they still did to this day, except Viperpaw was getting more training than usual so they had minimal time to hang out much. When their younger brother was born, however, it was clear that Komodokit was just as similar as they were, and they might have had a paw in his...character building. And now that he was sharing dens with Canarypaw, Komodopaw might just help with the havoc the apprentices cause. Viperpaw purred softly at the memories as he went to his den to gather up more herbs. He planned to put them into first aid packets within large palm leaves he gathered the other day; who knew what mess the new apprentices would get into on their first day of training. [ starter ] Bluefeather | ♀ | 30 Moons | Hydrokinesis [ camp — nursery | early morning ]
Bluefeather shifted awake, blinking her vibrant blue eyes that gave her true meaning to her name. The nursery was dreary and a bit dark due to the curtain of leaves that helped protect the cats that lived in the tunnel cave. She scanned across the pelts of the other two soon-to-be mothers; it wouldn't be long before they had kitten of their own. She moved slightly, careful not to jostle the sleeping kittens at her belly as she stretched a leg at a time. It was when she only felt one lump of fuzzy warmth did she look alarmed at her sons; only seeing the dark gray kitten, she sighed quietly—Flamekit was gone, probably roaming the camp. She was always worried about that one as he was showing curious signs of her former mate, Flamestrike. As soon as he was born and she saw his matching colorings, she knew it was only fate to name him after his father; she gave her other son Smokekit's name to match his smoky-gray pelt that was more like her own. Bluefeather didn't mind that Flamekit was a roamer, but she wished he wouldn't sometimes. But she knew he was probably in the healers' den like he has been lately—thank the Ebbing Warriors Viperpaw keeps an eye out for him! It would devastate her if anything happened to her son so soon after Flamestrike's death. Finishing her stretching, Bluefeather gently nosed her dozing son, purring softly when Smokekit squeaked. "Time to wake up, little one," she murmured as she gave his scruff a lick, beginning the morning bath she gave her kits. She spent a good moment doing this before he got squirmy and she gave up. Allowing him to fall back into slumber for the time being, she nudged him to the corner of the nest before she got to a stand, stepping carefully to the nursery entrance. Immediately flattening her gray ears, Bluefeather peered through the rainy air to try to find the bright orange kitten; the camp was still sleepy in the early morning light, the only distinct movement was Birdsong and Ravenflight returning through the entrance, Clearstar and Stormpelt murmuring nearby her den. She glanced towards the healers' cave, just barely making out the shape of the healer apprentice in the dim light; sure enough near the young tom did she see her kitten. "Flamekit! C'mon back," she mewed, gesturing with her paw. She watched as her son scampered back to her with a pale yellow blossom in his lips. She could detect a sweet-smelling scent from the flower when Flamekit came closer. "What do you have there?" She asked once they were back inside. Flamekit spat the flower into the nest before curling up next to Smokekit. "Honey...suckle? I think that's what Viperpaw said it was." He nosed the blossom closer. "He said I gotta share with Smokekit—if he wakes up." Bluefeather settled back in their nest, plucking up Flamekit and nestling him on her front paws. "If he says to share, you share," she instructed before giving him his morning bathing despite his protesting mewls.
[ starter | ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » ] Moonpaw | ♀ | 07 Moons | Pyrokinesis [ camp — apprentices' den | early morning ]
It felt like Moonpaw couldn't sleep very well over the night; she and Spottedpaw were on the dusk patrol, had wandered over the whole island to make sure it was safe while the Clan went to sleep after the excitement of the new apprentices being assigned. It was a relatively fun night; the dusk patrol was one of the most relaxing patrols as they mostly kept tabs on things at a brisk pace before heading back to camp. The only time things got hasty was if the patrol detected any intruders; thankfully they didn't, and the two apprentices were able to head back home to go straight to sleep. But her struggling slumber was interrupted when a horrific howling came from the nest just next to hers. Jerking awake, Moonpaw looked blindly around the den, her vision blurred from sleep, half expecting a pack of Komodos or rogues attacking. But it was only the annoying Canarypaw making a fuss. When her hackles bristled in annoyance, Moonpaw shifted in her nest to get a good aim before kicking out a hind leg at the tom. "Will you shut—up?" she gritted through a hiss, her tabby ears flat against her head in fury. At this point, everyone in the whole island could be awake now due to his stupidity, so she didn't bother keeping her voice down. "Just because you got to sleep soundly while we guarded the territory doesn't give you the right to wake everyone up in this early hour, Canarypaw." With Canarypaw being one of the notorious apprentices who got into the most trouble since his littermate became a healer apprentice, Moonpaw's own feiry personality rivaled his, and they were constantly at each other's throats with threats or bickering or constantly annoying each other. This wasn't the first time he sounded off a faux alarm to get everyone awake, either. And each time he did so, Moonpaw either lashed out with her claws, bit him or kicked him in response—or all three, if she was in the mood.

smokekit | ♂ | 2.5 moons | pyrokinesis [ camp - nursery | early morning ] Smokekit was having a very nice dream about being the best warrior in the clan when he was rudely awakened by his mother nosing into his small body. Once she finished his bath and he was able to attempt falling back asleep, he was once again roused - this time by the sweet smell of something floral. Opening his soft green eyes, Smokekit shook out his long blue-gray fur. A small purr rumbled in his chest as he pressed his shoulder into Flamekit. Smokekit and Flamekit might be rowdy and full of energy, but Smokekit loved his brother dearly. Flamekit was his best friend.
"What do you have, Flamekit? It smells really nice," Smokekit mewled in his small rasp. Whatever Flamekit had, he wanted some of it. But more than that, he wanted to run. His tiny legs were itching to bound around camp - in fact, his right foreleg was even twitching restlessly, as though just the idea of getting out and wandering around camp was too much to bear.
"Hey mama, can Flamekit and I go run around today? It's so boring just sititng in here all day," the young tom meowed, green eyes bright and pleading. It was a soft sort of look, one that fit his long, silky fur and thin face well. Smokekit had definitely taken after his mother in coat color - but where her fur was short and fine, Smokekit's was instead thick and heavy. Often, his morning bath took twice the time that his brother's did, simply because of the amount of fur young Smokekit had. ⋆ ɑetɧeɾ «

clearstar w/ stormpelt ☄ camp clearing & early morning ☄
Clearstar admired Stormpelt, for the way he had been so wise and mature throughout their lives. She couldn't have picked a better vice and sometimes, whenever she watched him interact with Birdsong, it pulled on her heart strings-- of course in a good way. Watching the two together was adorable and even more so when they adopted Ravenflight as their daughter. This made her trust and companionship for the tom grow stronger, much like the respect she had for his mate and adopted daughter. Her ears pricked slightly when Stormpelt trotted over to her before she let out a snort and a roll of her green eyes. "I know you enjoy Wet Leaf the most, so of course it's lovely to you," she teased before nudging her vice playfully. At least he had a sense of humor that was better than her own. The bi-colored she-cat had been chieftess for over a year at this point, but it felt much longer than that. Maybe time was catching up to her faster than she expected, though she had only lost one life so far and that didn't seem to make much of a difference. She was there to serve and protect her clan after all. Following the Law was easier said than done and, to be honest, she didn't exactly struggle with it like her littermate did. For that she was thankful because she could only imagine the chaos that would ensue if Palmchill was chieftess. It took her a moment to deliberate on the day's plans as she recollected the apprentice ceremony from yesterday. The dark striped tom was right; having the newly made apprentices go out with their mentors was an obvious plan. "That sounds like a solid plan to me. They could take a tour of the territory, seeing Ravenflight and Brightspots are guards," she suggested before curling her tail around her oval shaped paws slowly. "After that, leave it up to the mentors to make the decision. Does that sound all right?" Her thoughts floated back to the rest of the patrols for the day before she proposed an idea. "How about sending out the elder apprentices to hunt with their mentors?" she mewed. "The rest can make plans on their own, unless they would rather be assigned to a patrol."

As lucky as he was, Canarypaw was not assigned to the dusk patrol like Moonpaw and Spottedpaw had been. He and his mentor, Teakwhisker, ended up on that day's dawn patrol along with a quick hunting patrol later on. As for today's plan, he wasn't sure of what Clearstar and Stormpelt had decided but he, by the Ebbing Warriors, was dreading to end up on the dawn patrol again. On top of that, he couldn't sleep which made his head feel like it was in a set of dark, stormy clouds. His only answer to it? Wreaking havoc on his denmates, of course. There was nothing better to do anyways. Plus, he secretly enjoyed it-- but maybe that wasn't much of a secret anymore, seeing as Moonpaw had awakened and looked absolutely foolish with the way she was blindly looking about in the cave. What he didn't expect was to see her hind leg making its way for him as it abruptly hit one of his forepaws. What a big baby, he thought before snickering loudly at the tabby she-cat. The fact she was going off like the Sleepy Volcano only amused the cream colored feline, his green eyes glowing with pleasure. This was exactly what he wanted, though it wasn't what he had expected. "Ya snooze, ya lose, Moonpaw," he told he bluntly before shaking his moss covered pelt out. He purposely made sure some landed on her grey coat and winking pompously. "It's not like you have all day to sleep either. At least I'm being productive this morning unlike your lazy rump." Canarypaw was just as fiery as Moonpaw was except that he was more of hellion than just a little sassy she-cat who was all bark and no bite. He could bark and bite, unlike the grey tabby before him. He and his littermate, Viperpaw, were not the most... well behaved felines in the clan, that was for sure. Though that didn't mean Moonpaw was entirely innocent either. Her sister, Spottedpaw, might as well be but she was nothing of the sort. It was partly the reason why he decided to taunt and banter with her, although he would never admit it aloud. Not a single feline in the clan needed to know anyways unless he suddenly decided he didn't need to keep that little secret of his to himself.

Leopardpaw | ♂ | 6 Moons | Erebokinesis [ Apprentice's Den | Early Morning ] It had been a long, late night for the deeply slumbering Apprentice curled up in the nest furthest from the entrance of the Den. He had chosen the darkest space he could, as far from his new denmates as he could get without seeming rude, or like he didn't want to spend time with them. Leopardpaw, and that was going to take a lot of getting used to, just knew himself well enough to know that being too close to another was asking to migrate into their nest in the middle of the night. Any time he had fallen asleep while his mother was out of the nursery, the other Queens had been amused to see him wriggle in his sleep to curl up by one of them. It had taken him so long to sleep last night for several reasons - Excitement, nervousness, homesickness for the warmth of his mother and so many more. So when Canarypaw started caterwauling in the early hours of the morning, Leopardpaw threw himself backwards away from the noise, tumbling out of his newly-made nest. The short-haired tabby poked his head back up over the edge, looking with wide, startled eyes as Moonpaw argued with Canarypaw. His large ears went from pinned back to straight up as he tuned into the situation, short fur smoothing down from where the sudden wake up call had left it standing on end. Leopardpaw briefly wished he were the sort of cat to smack other cats on the head. 'Can't Moonpaw see she's just prolonging the outburst?' He thought tiredly, pushing himself to his paws and yawning widely. Excitement and fear flooded him once again. Today would be the day he would leave Camp for the first time alongside his very own Mentor, who he doubted was even up yet. Sighing and resisting the urge to glare at the two arguing Apprentices, Leopardpaw padded out of the shadows towards them. "G-good morning," He greeted the pair softly, long tail curling ever so slightly upwards to keep him from tripping over it. It had taken quite a few moons to learn that lesson. Sand , ⋆ ɑetɧeɾ «

Wavedapple | ♀ | 15 Moons | Hydrokinesis [ Serpentine's River/Camp| Early Morning ] Calm. It floated around her. The serene flow of the water gently ruffled her fur as she pushed her way downriver, moving with the current. The expression on Wavedapple's normally excited face was peaceful, with a small, quiet smile on the muzzle that was usually spread in a wide grin. It had been easy to see, back when she was chosen to walk the path of Hydrokinesis, that the entire Clan had been shocked by the decision. Even she had been in a way. Those with the power of water in their paws were usually calm, collected cats. Wavedapple, with her almost aggressive energy, was expected to be Pyrokinetic. In the water though, Wavedapple was every bit the patient soul that tended to accompany others of her power, even if out of it she was more like the ocean in a storm. The sun had risen over the horizon properly by the time Wavedapple surfaced, gasping for air. The young Hunter blinked the water from her eyes as she paddled towards the bank of the river. Pulling herself from the water, she shook the water from her fur and glanced at where three small fish lay, thrown from the water after she had dispatched them with a quick bite while swimming and training her powers. She was determined to be able to spend the longest time under water by the time her second year had passed. Feeling utterly relaxed after her morning swim, Wavedapple scooped up her small catch and headed back to Camp, slipping inside with languid, easy strides. She set two of the fish down in the fresh-kill pile and snagged one for herself, settling off to the side to eat in peace. Starter

Stormpelt | ♂ | 50 Moons | Erebokinesis [ camp — clearing | early morning ]
Stormpelt purred at Clearstar's humor, rolling his eyes as he gently shook out his dampening fur. "It's what gave me my name; I always loved this weather," he chuckled dryly, licking a paw, wiping his face. To be fair, it was probably one of the true reasons why his mother gave him the name of Storm; he was always told the island suffered a momentarily short torrential storm while he was born. He grew up boasting about the event even if it only lasted for a couple of hours. "I'll arrange the patrol once—" Stormpelt began but cut off when he heard commotion a few dens away. Ears pricked, he squinted through the morning haze at the apprentices' den, but once he detected the voices, he couldn't help but roll his eyes. "For the love of the Ebbing Warriors, they're at it again," he sighed to Clearstar, shaking his head slowly, eyes squeezed shut tiredly. He couldn't understand how Canarypaw and Moonpaw could keep up such a fuss. They've been at each other's throats for weeks! Stormpelt was sure the clan was exhausted of their antics by now. Grumbling, Stormpelt's tailtip twitched as he noticed a few clan members get irritated. "First we suffered through the shenanigans of Viperpaw and Canarypaw, and now Moonpaw gets involved..." He sighed, looking back at his leader. "I'll arrange a patrol once everyone wakes up," he continued his previous sentance; "If they aren't already awake from the racket."
[ Sand ] Moonpaw | ♀ | 07 Moons | Pyrokinesis [ camp — apprentices' den/clearing | early morning ]
Moonpaw let out a soft rumble of a growl, her ears pinned back by his words. "Our mentors allowed us to sleep in a little bit while you get to be on the early patrols." She kicked out at him again, this time her claws unsheathed, hoping to connect with his fur in a warning slash. But she was just sleepy enough that she missed by a hair. Hissing in embarrassment by her clumsiness, Moonpaw growled at him again. She felt her sister stir in the nest next to hers, a paw pressing against Moonpaw's lashing tail. "Moonpaw..." Spottedpaw murmured in warning. She didn't hear as she rolled out of her nest, coming to a stand in front of the annoying apprentice. Her tabby ears ticked when she heard another apprentice mew, her sister replying, but Moonpaw paid no attention as she pinned her ears against her head in exhausted fury. "I've had it with your kitten games," she hissed at the arogant tom, lowering on her shorter legs. In a second later, she leapt at Canarypaw with quick force, their bodies crashing just hard enough that they tumbled out of the den and fell across the dusty camp clearing. Scrambling to a stand, Moonpaw growled loudly at the sand-colored apprentice before her, her tail whipping back and forth in mad fury; she was tired, sore from training all day the day before, and she was not amused by Canarypaw's stupidity almost every morning when he couldn't stand to sleep. She felt the tip of her tail heat up as she triggered her pyrokinesis, the blue flames spreading along her lashing tail as she glared at him. If he doesn't apologize now, I'll make him! She promised inwardly as she bared her fangs at him. She might be two moons younger and just a little smaller than the rest of the apprentices besides the new ones, but she wasn't afraid to test her skills against the tom.
[ Sand ] Spottedpaw | ♀ | 07 Moons | Geokinesis [ camp — apprentices' den | early morning ]
She warned her, and yet, Spottedpaw could only wince as her erratic older littermate trampled Canarypaw. At least they took it outside, she sighed. Bright but sleepy amber eyes peered over at one of the new apprentices, Leopardpaw, who was awoken by the noise and tried to be friendly to distract the two—it didn't work, unfortunately. Spottedpaw gently flicked the younger tom's side with her tailtip. "The best thing to do is ignore them; this is normal, sadly," she sighed again, shaking her head. While Moonpaw and Canarypaw took their matters outside of the den, Spottedpaw stretched in her nest with a large yawn, the taller sister stretching out her long legs in the trampled nests of the den. Sitting back in her nest, Spottedpaw curled her silky tail around her paws as she looked upon the apprentice. "First lesson of being an apprentice is that you have to learn the traits of your denmates. Canarypaw is kind of a...annoying—same for his littermate, Viperpaw, but thank the Ebbing Warriors he was moved to the healers' den; doesn't make him less annoying, though..." She grimaced when she could hear her sister grumbling a growl, and she could see the hint of blue fire on her tail from inside the cave. Hopefully someone interrupts them soon! Spottedpaw worried. She blinked back at the new apprentice. "Moonpaw is a hot-head—the ancestors must have sensed when they granted her power," she added with an eye roll. "And I'm Spottedpaw," she tossed in, lifting her chin slightly in greeting. "I'm different than my sister; I don't bite," she added with a bit of humor, although her short dappled fur fluffed slightly in awkwardness; she's normally shy and quiet, but she felt the need to formally introduce the new apprentice to some information.
[ Lycaonia ] Flamekit | ♂ | 02 ½ Moons | Photokinesis [ camp — nursery | early morning ]
Flamekit could only tolerate the bath for a second before he batted playfully at his mother's blue-gray muzzle with soft paws until she freed him. Fluffing his fiery pelt, Flamekit wriggled his rump before pouncing on his brother. "It's a honeysuckle!" He mewled, rolling off of the gray tom so he could bat at the yellow blossom delicately towards Smokekit. "Viperpaw said we can share. It's super sweet." At the mention of running, his little tail stuck straight up as he looked up at Bluefeather. "Oh, pleeeease, Mama? I wanna run, too!" He jolted in a start when he heard commotion outside of the den and the little ginger kitten stuck his head through the leafy fronds that covered the entrance, his bright blue eyes widening when he saw Moonpaw and Canarypaw tumble into the clearing. With a gasp, Flamekit fluffed out his pelt in excitement. "Smokekit, look!" He felt teeth clamp his tail and he was being dragged back into the warm den by his mother. "I don't want you two romping around while the apprentices are running about," Bluefeather told her sons, and Flamekit whined, "But, Bluefeather." The blue-furred she-cat sighed loudly, and Flamekit hopped lightly on his little toes in hopes she would let them. A moment of silence, and their mother peeked through the foliage for a moment. "Just...stay out of everyone's way, please. Don't go outside of camp and don't get underneath anyone's paws—I would like to not know my kits are causing a nuisiance." Flamekit let out a squeal of triumph. "Let's go, Smokekit!" He played with the tip of his brother's tail. "Grab the blossom, let's show everyone our find!"

Whiteseed | ♂ | 50 Moons | Hydrokinesis [ Healer's Den | Early Morning ] Whiteseed was quietly staring at the small pool in the healer's personal place in the den. It was useful to have his own mirror-like puddle, not just for use of water, but for use of his power. The dent was created by a geo-healer of the past, and filled by a different hydro-healer. Though the light wasn't very good in the dark back of the lair, he studied the surface carefully. His wave-reading was for the coming clan kits. Both Smallstep's and Feathercloud's. At first, it was uneventful. Then, however, between the ripples he scrutinized was the faint color of red. He narrowed his eyes. 'What might this mean?' He was fully aware his power's omens were tentative, but the color red only made him think of blood and death. He left the pool alone and emerged from the section of den to call to his apprentice. "Viperpaw. Come." Though it did appear the tom was busy with something, Whiteseed expected to be followed and thus continued towards the nursery without waiting for him.

clearstar w/ stormpelt ☄ camp clearing & early morning ☄
A purr rose in Clearstar's chest and throat at Stormpelt's dry chuckle before shaking out her bi-colored pelt as the drizzling rain caused the creek to slosh around sluggishly. "I'm sure you do, even your mother would agree," she meowed, mrrowing in amusement before a familiar memory came to mind. Stormpelt used to brag about his namesake when they were younger. As for her, Clearstar never really understood why her parents gave her such a name. She assumed it was due to her pale coat or maybe an older relative. She knew Palmchill's came from her mother's favorite plant, so maybe hers was something to do with her father. As Stormpelt spoke, the sudden commotion made her ears prick up and twitch with annoyance. Her green gaze traveled after his before she notice him rolling his eyes which confirmed what wasn't anything new. Canarypaw's screech must have woken up the entire apprentice's den by now and that didn't even include Moonpaw's involvement. "It's not that alarming anymore. I can only imagine how worse it will get when they become warriors," she replied, shaking his head. "I don't think it's good to let it continue, though. I'll talk to Teakwhisker and Palmchill about it." She dreaded the fact she would have to talk to her littermate about her apprentice, but there was no other way around it. Being petty wasn't going to help out either, so Clearstar decided she would suck it up and try to find a solution. The grey-and-white she-cat chuckled at Stormpelt when he mentioned Viperpaw and couldn't help but remember the few moons of the littermates creating havoc. "Sounds like Canarypaw found a replacement," she mewed before nodding at her vice. "Oh, I'm sure they are awake by now-- I don't think a single cat could sleep through that." Her eyes quickly darted after Moonpaw's grey pelt tangled with Canarypaw's sand-colored one. The two were now wrestling in the camp's clearing along with several hisses and growls being exchanged between the two apprentices. "Oh, for the Ebbing Warriors' sake," she groaned. "They'll never change, will they?"[ ⋆ ɑetɧeɾ « ] coding credit goes to тнe wιɴтer ѕoldιer « & ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 | image credit canarypaw w/ moonpaw ☄ apprentices' den/clearing & early morning ☄
Canarypaw rolled his striking green eyes at Moonpaw's comment while he made sure that her kick wouldn't hit him directly. Even if she just grazed him, he wasn't going to take any mistreatment from her. After all, he was the older apprentice here and being crushed by someone younger than him would be aggravating. A soft sigh of relief left the tom's maw when she missed him by a single hair and he could tell that she was embarrassed even though she was too busy voicing her anger. "Yeah, and? What's your point, Moonpaw? Can you not handle being tired after doing patrols at night and waking up early?" he taunted, hardly hearing Spottedpaw's light murmur to her littermate. He had also noticed that Leopardpaw, one of the new apprentices, had woken up. Though he was younger than Canarypaw, he didn't mind the short-haired tom, but he did seem a bit too quiet for his liking. He couldn't blame Leopardpaw for that, though; most apprentices were timid and nervous for the first moon of training. "Hey Leopardp--" Unfortunately, he didn't much of a chance to talk to the Oriental feline due to Moonpaw's hasty hiss. It took him by surprise, to say the least, when she tackled him and they ended up tumbling out of the apprentice's den, dust gathering in the air rapidly. It was almost like being caught in a dust storm except there was another feline atop of him. Once Moonpaw had scrambled to her paws, the cream tabby did the same only to realize her tail was whipping faster than he had ever seen. Really? Of all things, she's going to use her power to attack me? he thought, appalled that the grey she-cat imagined this would be a way of solving things. "Oh, so this is how you want to play," he remarked, closing his eyes quickly to focus on his kinesis. "You know, I thought about apologizing, but I feel like that would be foolish to do now." A dark green glow formed, outlining Canarypaw's limbs and tail; his eyes glowered at his denmate before him, as if he were preparing for a battle. If he could cause a small tremor to knock Moonpaw off of her paws, then that was what he was going to do.

Leopardpaw | ♂ | 6 Moons | Erebokinesis [ Apprentice's Den | Early Morning ] Leopardpaw scrambled back, shocked as Moonpaw tackled Canarypaw and the pair rolled out of the Den. His ear twitched and he swung his angular head around as he stared in dismay as Spottedpaw spoke. "T-they're always like that?" He mewed, tail curling anxiously behind him, "Ebbing Warriors grant me strength, I don't think I'm going to survive my Apprenticeship." The timid tom shrank back from the entrance of the Den as the pair's argument heated up, edging his way towards Spottedpaw. "T-thanks for the information," He said gratefully, one eye warily keeping watch for any sign of trouble from the other two, "At least one of you in here is sane. I'm Leopardpaw, it's nice to properly meet you Spottedpaw." Leopardpaw had, of course, seen many of the Apprentices before, as they brought prey to him and his mother, but the shy tom had often hidden himself in his mother's fur, only peeking out at the bigger cats.
Leopardpaw sighed, sitting down and deciding to take Spottedpaw's advice, doing his best to ignore the commotion outside. He began grooming his short fur, grateful that it never really got very messy. "What a morning," He sighed, feeling far more tired than he expected after all the excitement. He raised his head to smile shyly at Spottedpaw, glad that the she-cat had decided to help him out a little. Gathering his courage, he decided to at least try and make an effort. "S-so Spottedpaw," He asked, ducking his head nervously, "Um, what's it like being an Apprentice? Who's your Mentor?"

Feathercloud | ♀ | 31 Moons | Aerokinesis [ Nursery | Early Morning ] Wisps of light danced around her as she felt soft grass beneath her paws. The stars shone bright above her, seeming to shimmer in the sky just for her, bright and warm against the pitch blackness of the night. A familiar warmth seemed to press against her side, thought when she turned to look there was nothing there. About to open her mouth and break the silence, she was interrupted by an irritated cry. She tried to shake the sound from her mind, but it was too late and Feathercloud blinked open sleepy yellow-green eyes to the sight of the Nursery.
Yawning widely, the fluffy Queen lifted her head to peer in the direction of the noise. It was coming from the main area of the Camp and she frowned as she recognised the voices. Sighing in exasperation, she glanced over to where Bluefeather was allowing her kits to leave the nursery. An amused smile quirked up the corners of Feathercloud's lips as she shifted into a more comfortable position. "Good Morning, Bluefeather," She chuckled, paws crossing delicately as her bushy tail curled around her, "I see your kits are as energetic as ever." The was a fondness and longing in Feathercloud's voice. She couldn't wait for her own kits to come, was looking forward to the feel of the tiny, warm shapes curling into her side. Flamekit and Smokekit were adorable thought and she enjoyed watching their antics for the last half-moon she had been in the Nursery.

Viperpaw | ♂ | 09 Moons | Aerokinesis [ camp — healers' den | early morning ]
Viperpaw's focus on his morning herb sorting was interrupted once his brother and the pesky Moonpaw tumbled into the clearing as a ball of hissing and fighting. Viperpaw fought the urge to roll his eyes; Moonpaw was always a nuisance—she would always stick her pale pink nose into everything and everyone's business, trying to get in on every plan and always had a word in. When he was still a warrior apprentice, she was just a young apprentice following him and Canarypaw around, always wanting to do something with them. But as she got older, she just got more...annoying, and her loud mouth never stopped running. She went from being nosey to hot-headed, and if he didn't know any better, Viperpaw knew she enjoyed bickering with his brother. And they got worse once Viperpaw joined the healers. His paws itched to jump in the middle of their quarrel, wanting to bat at the smaller tabby she-cat, double-up with his littermate like old times. He almost did, in fact, until Viperpaw noticed the flickering blue light emitting from her tail-tip, striking up her tail like a branch catching fire, and Viperpaw sighed audibly before turning back to his herbs. There wasn't much else to do but let them fight; he scrapped together a patch of wound remedies, ready for one or both of them to hobble to his assistance for their stubbornness. Viperpaw didn't even notice his mentor stirring until he heard his name, Whiteseed stalking out of the healers' cave without hesitation; the brisk way the white tom walked, not even noticing the two apprentices in the clearing, worried Viperpaw—he knew his mentor was very attuned to detail, especially to any wet surface, and with the way he suddenly acted made Viperpaw think he saw something. Forgetting the herbs and his brother's antics, he scrambled after his mentor into the clearing...towards the nursery. It had been a few moons since he'd properly set foot in this den, and having just recently been made a healer apprentice gave Viperpaw a pang of stress every time his mentor had something on his mind. Were the denmothers okay? Was Bluefeather requesting assistance? Viperpaw's feet kept in pace with Whiteseed, his tongue nervously wettening his elongated fangs that hung over his bottom lip; were Smallstep and Feathercloud expecting? No...they wouldn't be ready for a good bit. Right? It suddenly alarmed the young tom when he forgot the number of weeks the queens had left before they had kittens of their own. "Is everything alright, Whiteseed?" Viperpaw asked curiously, hoping it was just a mandatory nursery check-up.
[ Erιѕ Alvα ] Stormpelt | ♂ | 50 Moons | Erebokinesis [ camp — clearing | early morning ]
Stormpelt grumbled quietly as he peered at the apprentices; maybe it was him getting old, but youngsters who acted as if they were still kittens when they should be acting more well behaved and like warriors, as they were trained, just aggravated him. Lashing his tail a couple of times before tucking it under a paw, Stormpelt heaved a sigh. "I fear they'll be worse once they become full warriors, and then what? More chores?" He shook his broad head. "They need to be disciplined now so that they'll learn that this nonsense is not to be tolerated." Maybe it was his old age, but he was getting tired of these two's antics. "Playing and train-fighting is one thing—but this? This is an embarrassment," he grumbled, ruffling his damp fur. At the mention of the apprentices' mentors, he gave Clearstar a look. "Actually, I'll go fetch them now; they might as well wake up now, if they aren't already." Getting to his paws, Stormpelt gave his leader's flank a flick of his tail, a sudden amused idea showing in his irritated expression. He wasn't one to come up with bizarre plans, but even as a young warrior, Stormpelt always had a tricky idea on his paw. "You organize the patrol for the new apprentices and their mentors; I have an idea for these two." Twitching his striped tail, Stormpelt padded across to the warriors' den, giving Ravenflight a quick affectionate quip of his tail as he ducked into the warm cave. Eyeing the stirring—and apparent annoyed—pelts of his Clanmates, he spotted the two mentors. "Teakwhisker—Palmchill!" He called sternly with light authority that he's adopted since becoming the vice chief of the clan; "Come collect your apprentices; I have a task for the four of you." Pulling out of the den, he sat next to his youngest daughter, the black female's ears pinned back as she watched the apprentices with a pained expression on her slender face. "By the Astral Realm...did we ever misbehave like this?" Ravenflight asked as she glanced at him. Stormpelt let out a sigh of relief; "No, thank the Ebbing Warriors. Your siblings had grown out of that phase nearly before apprenticeship, and when you came along, you were quiet as the river on a calm day." Ravenflight purred softly, her blue gaze returning to Moonpaw and Canarypaw. "Well, hopefully they'll wean out of this." Stormpelt scoffed lightly in doubt, but he, too, hoped and wished for silence between the two felines.
[ Sand | Lycaonia ] Moonpaw | ♀ | 07 Moons | Pyrokinesis [ camp — clearing | early morning ]
Moonpaw's clear blue eyes crackled as fire when she glowered at the arrogant tom before her; she probably shouldn't have started up her power, but she was fed up and angry from having slept so little. Her tailtip thrashed from side to side, heat and hot blue flames licking her fur, her pelt untouched due to the self-immunity she harnessed and learned to control early on. "You don't know how to apologize—I don't even think you know how to say 'I'm sorry'!" She spat, her ears flattening as she ducked low in a crouch. She felt a slight tremor of the rock underneath her paws, and she unsheathed her claws, digging them into the thin layer of dust and dirt that had collected over the years of the clan living in the cave. "Your little rock trembling won't work on me, Canarypaw," she growled. Taking a defiant step towards him, she spat a warning spray of blue sparks from her lips, baring her teeth at him. Hoping that the spray of sparks was a good enough distraction, Moonpaw scratched the floor as she lept at him once more.
[ Sand ] Spottedpaw | ♀ | 07 Moons | Geokinesis [ camp — apprentices' den | early morning ]
Spottedpaw let out a soft purr of humor at the younger apprentice's scared prayer to their ancestors. "You'll survive; I survived all of kithood and a moon with Moonpaw, you'll get through it." She gave him a small encouraging look. "Canarypaw has only a few moons before he's expected to become a warrior—if he lasts that long," she added in alarm as she watched her sister threaten the older apprentice with her power. Sighing, she twitched her bushy tail-tip irritably without visibly showing it in her expression; sometimes, Spottedpaw wished Moonpaw would learn to control her temper. It would only get her into trouble later in life. And while she bore one of the most dangerous powers, it was only a matter of time before Moonpaw got into serious situations. Wincing as she watched her sister attack Canarypaw, Spottedpaw noticed the misstep Moonpaw made just before leaping, and she hoped the tom wouldn't take advantage of that. But she also didn't want to stick around to find out. While listening to Leopardpaw ramble, she gently led him to the corner of the den where it was a little less hectic; she licked a tortoiseshell-colored paw and wiped her face. "Being an apprentice has its perks; I mostly go out and hunt or fetch bedding for the nursery or elders. It keeps me busy. My mentor, Jaguarprowl, doesn't mind me being out on my own so long as I'm careful; and with this pelt," she added with a glance to her dappled mostly-black pelt, "it's easy for me to stay out of sight."
[ Lycaonia ] Bluefeather | ♀ | 30 Moons | Hydrokinesis [ camp — nursery | early morning ]
Bluefeather watched as her sons trampled out of the nursery; she bit back the urge to call out another warning for them to be careful, but she didn't want to be too fretful over them. She glanced over at Feathercloud, seeing how her denmate was awake now, and she worried if her kits woke her. Smallstep seemed to still be asleep somehow, with all this noise happening. "'Morning, Feathercloud," she murmured, shifting in her nest to face the young queen, tucking her paws underneath her. It was always good to relax fully without two bundles of sporadic kittens hopping about. "Yes; they get den-fever quite easily and need to explore," Bluefeather then purred. She remembered her own kitten days—she was an only cat in the litter, her mother's only kit, and she was a bundle of boundless energy, always exploring. Those were the days. Bluefeather loved being a warrior—and a mother—but oh, she missed the easy days dearly. Having been so focused on her sons' bath did Bluefeather forget her own washing, so she licked a blue-gray paw, rubbing her temple. "How are you feeling?" She asked Feathercloud; the mother-to-be wasn't too far off from kitting. She was in the stage where Bluefeather hated so much because she was just big and uncomfortable enough that she had to stay nest-ridden. She was an independent feline and although she appreciated Flamestrike tending to her, she much preferred to fetch her own bedding and food herself. A soft pang of pain shot through her heart, so she forced the memories from her mind; she'll think about her late mate later when she was alone with her thoughts. Continuing to wash her face, Bluefeather kept a blue eyes on her friend. "Do you have any ideas on how many you might have? Any names?" Thinking of possible names were always fun for Bluefeather; of course, names were also depending on the physical attributes kittens have, but she always planned ahead no matter what the situation was.

Leopardpaw | ♂ | 6 Moons | Erebokinesis [ Apprentice's Den | Early Morning ]
Leopardpaw took a deep breath as Spottedpaw led him back, further into the den. "I'll try to keep an optimistic frame of mind then," He smiled wryly, tucking his tail around his paws as he sat down. He resisted the urge to lie down beside the she-cat, however much the itch under his fur demanded some form of contact with another cat. Feeling an ear twitch nervously, he shuffled around to follow Spottedpaw's example and began grooming himself. It wasn't as comforting as when his mother did it for him, but it would make do for now - The memories enough to settle his racing mind and calm him down.
The tabby listened with one ear to Spottedpaw as his tongue rasped over his fur, quite impressed with the older Apprentice. "Your Mentor must really trust you to just let you roam outside of Camp whenever you want," He meowed, eyeing her with notable respect, "I'm not even sure who my Mentor is yet." He glanced up for where he was running his tongue over a paw, pausing in his morning wash. He set the paw down, looking away towards the entrance of the den. "I'm... A bit nervous about it," He murmured, ears folding back, "I mean, I'm definitely excited as well, but I'm worried I'm... Not going to do very well." He looked back at Spottedpaw, smiling sheepishly, "Sorry, I didn't actually mean to bring it up. Fears of inadequacy are a bit heavy for this early in the morning, never mind a first real talk."
Feathercloud | ♀ | 31 Moons | Aerokinesis [ Nursery | Early Morning ]
Feathercloud chuckled, nodding along with Bluefeather. "They're growing very well though, She meowed, relaxing in the calm that settled upon the nursery, "And for all they can get a little rowdy, they're sweet kits. I can only hope my kits are as strong, healthy and bright." And Feathercloud did so hope that they were. This would be the Queen's first litter and, for all she was excited, she was also incredibly nervous. She had no idea how she was going to cope as a mother.
Shaking her head, Feathercloud smiled at the slightly younger Queen. It seemed like she and Bluefeather had been taking the same steps at almost the same time for their entire lives. "I'm doing well enough," She assured her friend, glancing fondly at her stomach, where she could feel her kits shifting about, "A little bored considering I can't even go fetch my own prey these days, but to be honest it's kind of a minor thing against the excitement of, well, being close to kitting." Her tail curled, happiness obvious as she grinned at Bluefeather. "Whiteseed told me there's at the very least two in there," Feathercloud purred, ears perked as she thought she heard Teakwhisker's voice outside, hopefully dealing with the two rowdy Apprentices, "But he thinks three is more likely. Obsidianblaze and I haven't talked about names yet, but I've always loved the name Honeykit, so I'm kind of hoping one of them looks like me."

Teakwhisker | ♂ | 63 Moons | Geokinesis [ Camp | Early Morning ]
Teakwhisker groaned from where he had hidden his head in his nest, hoping beyond reason that it wasn't his unruly Apprentice that was creating such a racket that early in the morning. Raising his head to glare at the weak light filtering into the Warrior's Den, he was dismayed to find that the Dawn Patrol probably hadn't even gone out yet. Throwing a paw over his face, Teakwhisker took a moment to pretend that he was able to go right back to sleep, able to wake up later ready and rested to deal with Canarypaw's rebellious and difficult attitude. When Stormpelt's voice broke through his illusion, he grunted in annoyance and heaved himself from his nest, striding purposefully out of the Den. He thought it would be a relatively easy thing to deal with, take his Apprentice away by force if necessary and leave Moonpaw to Palmchill. Stepping into the early morning sunlight thought, Teakwhisker saw red.
He barely even realised what was happening at first as he began to stride across the clearing. It began with his paws as they glowed softly, a physical representation of the power inside him being brought to the surface. His fur rippled and began to change, shifting to a deep, dark grey as it began converting itself to living stone. He reached the quarrelling pair just as the transformation completed itself and reached out, snagging Moonpaw by the scruff just as the she-cat pounced, the sparks she produced bouncing harmlessly off his stone fur. Pulling Moonpaw to himself, he twisted his head and dumped her behind him, effectively putting himself directly between the two.
"What," He began lowly, lips pulling away from his teeth in a snarl, "Do you two think you were doing?" Teakwhisker let the transformation go, wary of keeping the dangerous technique active for too long, stone shifting smoothly back into deep reddish-brown fur. "It is bad enough," He snapped, fur bristling with anger, "That you two would brawl in the middle of Camp. Would wake up cats that have to go out later and protect our borders and hunt for those of our Clan unable to do so for themselves. Would disturb those who are sick or Queens and Elders who need as much rest as they can get their paws on." His voice grew louder with every sentence, until he was nearly bellowing. "But to use the abilities granted to us by our Ancestors for a petty fight where your Clan-mates - Where Kits - Could be injured by your immature and foolish actions!?" He roared, glaring at both Apprentices. The Guard took a deep breath, reaching for that steady, calm, peaceful state of mind that he usually relied on. "Now, what excuse could you two possibly have for all this?" He asked, voice steady but cold. It was obvious the tom didn't believe that whatever they had to say would truly excuse their actions.

clearstar w/ stormpelt, leopardpaw & spottedpaw ☄ camp clearing & early morning ☄
Clearstar, admittedly, had not thought that far ahead-- imagining Canarypaw and Moonpaw being warriors was a little out of her reach. She paused momentarily before shaking her head in agreement. "I don't think chores will convince them to grow up and learn how to act properly. Disciplining them now is our only option," she meowed, gaze fixated on the two apprentices. The fact that Moonpaw and Canarypaw had both activated their powers foolishly was an embarrassment, just as Stormpelt had said. She could only imagine how the other felines in the clan were reacting or simply ignoring it, which made her wonder what more could be done about the two troublemakers. The feeling of the silver tabby's tail touching her flank almost made her jump, though she quickly realized what it meant. I can only imagine what he has planned, she thought, almost feeling nosy about it. Before she could ask him, Stormpelt was already off to fetch Teakwhisker and Palmchil.l. "Sounds good to me. Good luck!" she called out to the tabby, who was already on the two warriors tails about their apprentices. In the meantime, the grey-and-white chieftess needed to gather up Leopardpaw and Komodopaw along with their mentors. It wouldn't be a bad idea to bring along a third apprentice either. So, in search of the apprentices, she dashed off to the den where they would all (most likely) be. It was no surprised to Clearstar that Spottedpaw and Leopardpaw were both awake, seeing as they had nests closest to Canarypaw and Moonpaw."Spottedpaw, Leopardpaw," she greeted, "It's good to see some apprentices behaving properly. Is Komodopaw awake?" A mrrow of amusement rose in her throat briefly before the feline's gaze scoured the dark den, expecting to find Komodopaw curled up in his nest. "Since he isn't awake yet.. at least to my knowledge, are you two willing to join your mentors on a patrol? Take Komodopaw with you as well," she instructed, tail curling around her paws. "Jaguarprowl should be somewhere in the clearing, Spottedpaw. I'll grab him for you. As for you, Leopardpaw, Stormpelt will be here soon along with Ravenflight."[ ⋆ ɑetɧeɾ « & Lycaonia ] coding credit goes to тнe wιɴтer ѕoldιer « & ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 | image credit canarypaw w/ moonpaw, teakwhisker & palmchill ☄ camp clearing & early morning ☄
Canarypaw was not fazed by the blue flames that flickered across Moonpaw's fur yet leaving her pelt untouched. He knew pyrokinesis was dangerous compared to geokinesis, though he couldn't help but fight back as it was in his nature. As the ground began to tremble beneath the both of them, he unsheathed his claws and made sure they were hooked into the gathering dust tightly. If his poor idea didn't knock Moonpaw off of her paws, he wouldn't have much of a choice of what to do next. "Oh, please! I know how to say 'I'm sorry' better than you!" he bickered furiously, narrowing his gaze on the grey feline before him. Little did he know that Teakwhisker and Palmchill were on their way to confront the apprentices for he was too focused on the battle before himself. Hissing loudly, "your little blue flames have no effect on me either, Moonpaw! You can try all you want, but you won't knock me off of my paws." Just before the blue sparking flames hit the cream tabby tom's coat, Teakwhisker had turned to stone before his eyes. He intercepted them as they bounced off of his mentor's stone pelt and removed the grey tabby she-cat from the situation before standing in between them. The moment Teakwhisker began snarling, Canarypaw lifted his paws from the cave floor which stopped the low trembles that had originally formed. He was stunned, completely flabbergasted by his mentor's bellows and roars. If he and Moonpaw hadn't woken up the entire camp... Teakwhisker surely had by now. He glanced away from the reddish-brown tom's glare as he snapped at them, each sentence becoming louder than the first. He didn't even want to give the guard an "excuse" for their reckless behavior. Canarypaw knew it wouldn't suffice the disturbance they caused. However, a response sat at the tip of his tongue reluctantly. Was it worth the few words he had to say and cause another uproar? Teakwhisker and Palmchill would not believe a word they would utter, so what was the point? It was a waste of time to say anything at all, but part of Canarypaw wanted to sell Moonpaw out. She had initiated her pyrokinesis first, after all. "Teakwhisker, Palmchill," he meowed, feeling his guts throb with an unnerving amount of dread. He had never seen Teakwhisker react the way he did and, to be frank, it left him speechless. "Look, I didn't mean for it to go this far. I'm sorry that it happened..."

Palmchill despised-- absolutely loathed when someone woke her up early, especially after being on the dusk patrol. She expected to get a good, decent amount of sleep but thanks to Stormpelt's stern call, that wasn't going to happen today. Tomorrow... definitely not, seeing how things were going. She was too groggy to realize that Teakwhisker and his apprentice were also involved as she dragged herself out of her nest and the den. She was behind Teakwhisker, who strode ahead of her which left her dazed. How could he be so awake after being roused out of their nests to deal with their immature, childish apprentices? The grey and white tabby's eyes snapped open immediately when she trailed after Teakwhisker, who was now standing between the two apprentices and ripping Moonpaw off of Canarypaw once she pounced. The guard wasn't all sure how to react to the tom's spurt of action, but it was definitely impressive. "Moonpaw!" she screeched, standing besides her apprentice immediately. She was irate as her gaze flared with rage and frustration. Palmchill had thought to speak before her denmate, but Teakwhisker was already going off as he snapped, bellowed, and roared at their apprentices. She didn't blame him; he was doing the right thing to, possibly, scare them into an apology. They had woken up, at the most, the entire clan and disrupted the morning of events. She stood to the side of Moonpaw, amber eyes seething with fury as she glared at both apprentices. The hairs on her pelt were close to sticking up as they bristled sharply. There was nothing Palmchill could say that would compete with Teakwhisker's outburst-- he was exactly right and there was nothing more to it. "There isn't a single excuse that Canarypaw or Moonpaw could use here-- it's not going to help," she mewed bluntly and then heard Canarypaw's weak reply. "Do you really think an apology is going to make up for the embarrassment and scene you both have caused? It's not close enough." Palmchill was surprised that the reddish-brown warrior was able to gather his bearings so easily. Deep down, she knew she would not have handled the situation like Teakwhisker and it would have been a disaster, though that was not something she was willing to admit. The tabby turned to Moonpaw, eyeing the young she-cat bitterly. "Moonpaw, what's your excuse? I frankly don't care how this happened because it's not worth my or Teakwhisker's time to figure out how, let alone even know why. What in the Ebbing Warrior's land made you believe this was a proper way to act?!"

Whiteseed | ♂ | 50 Moons | Hydrokinesis [ Healer's Den | Early Morning ] Ah, of course. In his haste, he hadn't thought of how the suddenness of his actions may appear to his apprentice. He paused at the entrance to the nursery and turned to look at him. "Er... Yes." He gave a weak smile. 'Brilliant, Whiteseed. You're the worse liar ever.' His ear flicked towards the den where he heard no wails, no cries of pain. In fact, hadn't those two kits just been chirping to Viperpaw moments ago? It seemed the water had swallowed more of the medicine cat than he realized. However, he would not be made to look mad--anymore than he might have already made himself. Ivory head cocked. "Have you yet been taught to check on a pregnancy?" There wasn't much to it, but at least it would be experience for the boy either way.
