hello! i'm thinking about joining this roleplay? if y'all are looking for sif, i've been eyeing that spot so i may just be your gal. i did notice you mentioned if a char is significant to the plot they need to be on 5 days a week, but i'm afraid i cannot fill that capacity if sif is considered a main char. i know i can cover three days, but i'm not so sure about five due to irl complications. i do have another char i can drop as maybe a body guard/babysitter for the trio? if you'd be okay with a character in that position? thanks! sorry for all the stipulations :/ ))

Taryn Borrinson|| She/Her/They/Them || Questioning || 32 years || With platinum blonde hair under her helmet. She stands at the astounding 6', with her height and her lean body muscled from her training she is capable for the job no matter what time of month. She often keeps her chest hidden under the armor, while not ashamed it is a weak point as a guard. || Taryn loves working with others but they're always is wary --it's kind of their job. They pick up on people's true motives pretty quickly, having a general sense of how people work. They keep their head down until absolutely necessary with adults. With children they're mindful of the kid's space but get involved tactfully when things begin to go downhill, very odd-but-well-meaning-aunt kind of vibes. Taryn understands the responsibility of her actions and at work acts solemn creating her dry sense of humor. But they're quite bubbly once they open up. This just takes a few subtle nudges because quite frankly they won't notice. A tad on the oblivious side when it comes to people and themself. || Local Guard || Guard/Interning as Babysitter || No family currently but feel free to join the Borrinson fam anytime || Madden, her large dog (slightly smaller than a full grown Fenris) || Can use very basic magic in emergencies || spilled ink
((i have images for Taryn and Madden? do you need them? and in that case i can take sif thanks so much! )) ((edit:: www.itomboys.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/itomboys-brittenelle-fredericks-129-240x300.jpg for taryn and images.puppyfinder.com/Breed/5/5/8/5589de9d657c762b_AnatolianShepherd_medium.jpg for my bby boy Madden))

((just going to repost the last replies so we can see where we left off, i'm going to pick up with sif & loki and i'll leave taryn open for now. i'm sure they'll run into thor & hela eventually. my starters are also kinda long so whoops, i'll get one up for taryn tmr morning. ))
Thor blinked in shock when Loki slammed the door in his face, and for a few moments, he didn't know what to do. But then he realized that Loki would have to come out eventually, to eat or something, and he turned to sprint back to the dining halls to see if he'd missed anything and to search for his friends. Perhaps Sif could help him convince one of the older Asgardians to recount the battle for them. He felt a thrill of excitement just thinking of it. (Darn it no one claimed Sif yet) When Loki reached the same point as his brother, he was transfixed with a very different emotion. Where other Asgardians felt awe or excitement, he felt intimidation, disgust, maybe even fear. But also anger. How dare these people eat like the livestock in the fields when the commoners of Asgard starved through the winter months? A shiver went down Loki's spine, but he continued on into the hall, desperately trying to ignore the putrid stink of alcohol. Sif was wandering around amongst the adults, slowly drifting away from the adults drinking-not-so-responsibly. Donning her princess-like she shifted uncomfortably, while she meandered she realized that Thor was gone. Probably to go find Loki, she thought, switching directions suddenly almost running into someone. With a quick apology she rushed off in the direction of the boys' bedrooms. Spotting Loki she waved skipping to greet him unashamed of her dress, she was wearing undergarments over her undergarment (one couldn't be too prepared with that sort of thing). She didn't realize that she had missed her preferred Odinson in the fray of the crowds she left behind, but no matter. "Have you seen Thor?" she asked brown curly hair bouncing as she skipped in step with Loki's slower walking pace. "I think I lost him the crowds, too many drunks," she commented with a deep frown, not even allowing him to answer prepared to pepper him with more questions or fill the silence.

Sif sighed to herself because Loki was right. The only way Thor would show up if he chose to, he had a thing for disappearing in the crowds. She forced her skipping to transform into a calmer trot beside her downcast friend. Her elegant dress now slightly ruffled she attempted to fix it only to find it made the wrinkles worse. Deciding to leave it, she turned to Loki grumbling. "Why is it that you are allowed to wear pants? she tugged at her curled hair hoping it would somehow become uncurled. "You can just wear trousers and a shirt," she continued, "but I get all this madness."

Sif let out an over-exaggerated sigh. Slowing her trot even more to walk, she wondered why Loki was such a downer. Maybe it was because Thor was the exact opposite, she mused. "Standards in general are weird," she replied, thinking back to all the text books on the Midgardians and their customs. Sif's long held status with "the guys" in the palace was still on the edge, but Loki always had her back, despite the insensitivity of the others.

Taryn surveyed the crowds searching the crowds for a small blonde head, usually accompanied by a darker mass of curls in a dress. Thor and Sif, they mused, yes, they were quite a pair, add Loki, they were almost impossible to keep track of. Thankfully, Loki had decided to stay in tonight, which meant an easier job for them. They didn't really have anything against their job but it certainly better fill all those college credits she needed to move up to the official royal guard. Protecting children is more difficult than one would think --let alone royally arrogant children. Finding him among the crowd was easy once she adjusted her search for Thor in terms of height. Ah, yes, with the war heroes. She stepped down from the balcony they went over just to watch, arriving she nodded to the elder with a wane smile with a quick glance to Thor.
((wow i'm so sorry i forgot about my starter for Taryn, anyone can hit taryn up, she just needs a lil push into social interaction, not really the initiating type.))

((wow i'm so sorry i forgot about my starter for Taryn, anyone can hit taryn up, she just needs a lil push into social interaction, not really the initiating type.)) When Thor had not been able to find Sif, he decided he would go ahead and find someone who had been at the battle without her. She would come by eventually, surely. He just wasn't sure why she wasn't there yet. He had found someone among a group of adults who seemed like they might be nice enough to appease him; everyone else in the area was busy recounting their favorite parts and boasting about how amazing they were, while this one was clearly the quietest one when it came to brilliant personal achievements. Thor smiled when he thought about how, one day, he would be able to tell others about how great he had been in battle as well. Before he could get the elder's attention, though, he saw Taryn, the guard who was assigned to watch over him and Loki. "Hi, Taryn!" he called, turning to talk to them instead. "Have you seen Sif? I can't find her anywhere."

((don't worry about it fam, my activity has always been really out there, i always drop a post disappear for six or so hours and then resurface with a reply. i think family friends just arrived so i'll get taryn's reply up ASAP, maplestone --speaking of, nice to see you maple, how have you been?))
Sif nodded with a grimace at the truth of Loki's statement. Frigga had joked that if they leave the two alone for long enough they could take over the Nine Realms. Both more philosophical in nature they enjoyed watching Thor and his friends from the window watching them tactically. "Nice analysis," she complimented, offering a high five. As they walked the hallway began widening into a room of quiet people. Equally drunk but the quiet drunks, the loud ones often stayed for more, but she knew that some wandered off to enjoy the happy buzz of alcohol."But now," she paused, stepping in front of Loki mimicking his grandeur and hand motions, "Do we seek Thor... or do we seek peace?"

((so sorry maplestone! here's your post. do you want to meet sif soon or do you think maybe run into hela? i know lostmoon hasn't really gotten involved yet... idk your call)) Observing Thor fondly, they almost missed when he turned around to greet her. The young boy had decided to converse with them instead of the elders, taken aback by the hello, they waved friendly stepping up him. "Hey Thor!" they said, scanning the group to check if they were interrupting anything of importance. Deeming it safe, they nodded in acknowledgement to the question. As they began to answer, they checked once more, "Sif? I don't think so, was she coming?" She paused. "I know Loki was staying in his room, would Sif stay with him?"

((i was thinking maybe sif & loki were pretty tight before the news abt his adoption being released which is when loki kind of caves in on himself and so after several attempts to help she just kinda leaves him high and dry? idk maybe thor can help her thru it which his how her & thor get buddy-buddy with the warriors three? idk just a thought))
Sharing a quiet chuckle, Sif hid an eye roll behind her hair. She should've known he'd have wanted to go, neither of them really enjoyed the limelight. Sif stopped in her tracks, if they were going somewhere she was not taking the lead. While comfortable in the palace she was never particularly familiar with everything, especially the gardens. They never really had any appeal to her. "To the gardens?" she pondered aloud incredulously. "That's where 'lovers' go, Loki," wrinkling her nose in remembrance of all the Midgardian books, she turned to face him hands on her waist.

(Cool idea, spilled ink!) "That's only according to Asgardian customs," Loki pointed out. "The same Asgardian customs and standards that we've just decided are weird and stupid. So, why not? It's peaceful, and nobody will look for us there, just because of those standards." He never really understood why certain places or actions had some sort of relationship attached to it. It was weird, much like everything else in life.

(Sorry for my inactivity, schools been a bit rough. Summer break is in two weeks though and i'll try to pop on a write some things more often) (Not exactly sure where the others are so ill just Hela here if it works? XD apoligies if this doesn't fit in anywhere)
The young girl streamed down the halls, not turning her head to check if the puppy Fenrir was following her. As Hela hung quietly to the walls, her ears caught the sound of talking becoming louder and louder as she moved closer to one of the open walls. She remained hidden from sight by any of the people in the room, and pressed an ear against the wall to listen closely. Recognising some of the voices, she simply rolled her eyes. Sif and Loki she presumed, and Thor was probably off to who knows where. Of course, the other asguardians tended to do what they wanted without Hela; though, it wasn't like it bothered her, right?

"No, I just came from Loki's room. He's alone. Reading." Like he did most of the time. Thor never really found the appeal in books. "He refused to come out," he added with a frown. He did sort of wish Loki would spend more time with him and his friends, but the younger brother didn't seem to like them. It was a shame, really. They were brothers, they grew up together, but they spent hardly any time together anymore.

Taryn laughed, Thor was always scorning Loki’s quiet more reserved decisions. The distance only seemed to be growing between the royal family. Their children were vastly different, it only took one “family dinner” to tell that much. “Reading isn’t all bad,” she answered despite agreeing with him. She was very much of a people person and watching the Odins drift apart hurt her heart. “Sometimes people need alone time –some people need longer alone time than others, Loki may be one of the ones who need a lot of it.” Offering a basic explanation of introversion and extraversion was all she could say to help the poor kid at this point, that kind of thing people needed to learn themselves.

((lost-- eek, still not out of school, my sincerest apologies my friend, you can make it!)) ((🌿 Loѕтмoon 🌿 & Sparkly --maybe we can all just go in a circle? Sparkly, Lost, & Ink? just so we don’t all jump in over each other, i just establish this stuff early bc i tend to screw stuff up later. maybe the trio can conspire against Thor (or someone else idk just an idea)? just bc that seems to be a common theme here )) Hearing rushed steps from down the hall, Sif’s ears pricked like a puppy, with her training she was still adjusting keeping all five of her senses alert. But now, she had actually been aware and she heard something. Feet? she asked herself, now totally ignoring Loki’s well-meaning tangent. Holding a finger to her lips, he stopped after explaining his point. Pulling a dagger from her hilt in her left sock, she crouched and scanned her surroundings. Back towards the doorway from the hallway her and Loki had just been in, she could’ve sworn that’s where the person was going to be. She shot a glance at Loki, nodding to where she thought the person was, and motioning for him to get behind her. He was the Prince of Asgard, she was but a warrior-in-training.

Hearing the talking stop, Hela quickly pulled herself away from the wall and shifted away from the door. She glanced around to look for a hiding spot to make sure she wasn't seen by the other two asguardians. But, seeing nowhere good to hide, the young girl quickly motioned for Fenrir to follow before quickly rushing down the hall with somewhat loud footsteps and turning a corner. She stopped just as she heard another persons footsteps and clung onto the wall corner. Perhaps she could try to... catch the young warrior off guard?
(Yeah! I'm fine with that!)
