Mosspebble comfortingly pressed herself against Arcticstrike, letting her tail rest along his back before pulling back to look at him. "I know you did. Everyone on that patrol fought hard and it's cause of your fight that you were able to make it back and not lose more lives" she spoke comfortingly, trying to lessen the strained and tired look on Arcticstrike's face. "I'm sorry you all went through that. It's...it's horrifying..."

Sorry!! Fell asleep!))
FallenDew quickly moved to ArticStrike and cleaned up his wounds. After that she put together a poultice or dried oak leaves and goldenrod. She then moved between cats, putting the poultice on the worst wounds, counting on PoolingWater's wound after she had removed the cobwebs. She sighed when she had finished but then realized she hadn't treated the smaller wounds. She quickly rushed off to get some dock leaves. When she returned she heard CreekStar call out and looked over but SparkPaw was already there. She nodded approvingly at her apprentice before beginning to chew up the dock leaves.
--
RosePaw looked up at at PebblePaw blankly before shaking his head to clear it. The tom then looked at his paws before speaking, his voice seeping with grief. "HawkCry was my mentor. Who's going to train me now? He was also a good cat and losing him," the tom paused before speaking again. "I don't think we'll make it through leaf-bare PebblePaw."

Creekstar began to feel hopeful about his mates recovery when she started to wake. He continued to give her a few more licks along her neck to help smooth out her ruffled fur when she told him to move his paw. The tom had completely forgotten about having his paw on her belly and quickly retracted it. "I was so worried about you", he meowed gently. "Why didn't you tell me you were expecting? Its too dangerous for you to be fighting wolves in your condition", Creekstar said his voice full of concern for Soaringflower.
Ivysong watched as he mate left the nursery and went out into the camp. Standing she followed him only to the entrance and sat herself there so she could see what was happening. She made sure to stay pressed against to side of the entrance wall to help conceal herself just in case there was still a threat. She could see a patrol of cats outside of the medicine cats den all having some sort of injury that was need to be cared for. How could Starclan allow this to happen to the clan. There was too much loss and bloodshed for her liking so the queen inwardly made up her mind that she wanted to leave this place behind her before she kitted. Ivysong would tell her mate of her decision the next moment they had alone.
Arcticstrike started to relax as Mosspebble spoke to him, but no matter what she said it would not take away the pain he felt about loosing Hawkcry. "Its not safe here anymore", he said in a solid tone. He didn't say that just because Hawkcry was now dead, he said it because of all that had already occurred this leafbare. Arcticstrike had come to the conclusion that if they stayed here, they would all die.

The calico warrior remained on her side, too tired to fully sit up and she was all too aware her wounds would make the action painful. She let out a weak purr at her mate's attentive grooming, but flinched at his question. "I had my suspicions, but I wasn't sure," Soaringflower said with a sheepish but worried tone. "The Clan has enough on their paws, I didn't want to add to their worries," she said quietly. Not looking her mate in the eye for fear he would hate her for inadvertantly putting their unborn kits at risk. She added nervously, "The clan needs as many warriors as it can get right now, I would be useless in the nursery." She attempted to lift her head high enough to nuzzle at Creekstar's cheek, it was a weak action but the love was there in spite of it.
"I never expected this to happen... I'm, I'm sorry," she said quietly. Looking to her mate with panicked eyes, "Are they ok?" She asked, attempting to lick at her marred underbelly. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FallenDew had finished with the others and made her way to SoaringFlower. She heard the queens question and looked her over quickly before nodding. "hey should be fine. Just take it easy and let me treat your other wounds at the moment." The medicine cat smiled and then wen to grab the herbs she would need. When she got to the den she noticed just how small her herb store was now and sighed as she picked up the last of the dried oak leaf and dock, having already run out of golden rod. She then made her way back to the injured queen and set down the herbs. "This is the last of the dried oak leaf and dock. It should be enough for your wounds but I'll have to watch your wounds carefully because I don't have any goldenrod to treat them with."

Mosspebble's eyes widened. The idea of leaving felt unthinkable. This had been their home since Hollowclan's creation. "Leave? How and where...I mean where would we go?"She felt herself getting flustered as the fur on her back raised but she took a breath and it began to lie flat again. "Arcticstrike are you certain?"
Pebblepaw flattened his ears. "If you keep talking like that, of course we won't make it. I get you're upset but don't say those things Rosepaw!"he hissed. He realized his tone was harsh considering what had just happened and he adjusted his tone of voice. "I'm sorry, but it doesn't help talking like that..."

RosePaw just looked at the tom blankly before speaking again. "What I mean is that we won't survive here. Even if we make it through leaf-bare the wolves will still be a very big threat. We need to find a new home." He shuffled his paws, knowing what he was saying was a very big thing.

Pebblepaw was surprised to hear what Rosepaw was saying. "That's crazy but..." he trailed off knowing there was truth to his friend's statement. "M-Maybe you're right" he finally said, looking down, shock still coursing through his body.

RosePaw nodded and then looked at where their leader was standing by his mate as FallenDew treated the she-cat's wounds. "I wanna speak to CreekStar about it. Will you come with me?" He turned his gaze back to the other, his eyes full of hope that the other would come with him.

Pebblepaw nodded. "Yeah of course. What you're saying is important and Creekstar should know about it so he can make a decision" The apprentice looked over to where they're leader was, with his mate. "He seems to be in a good mood at the very least"

RosePaw sighed and then stood. "Let's go then. Sooner we tell CreekStar the sooner a decision can be made." The tom's muscles could be seen moving under his dark brown fur as he padded toward the leader. When PebblePaw was beside him RosePaw could tell the difference in their heights but didn't let it bother him as he stopped by CreekStar. "CreekStar, may I have a word with you?"

Creekstar purred at her affection letting his worries vanish for the brief moment. "I've felt them and they are still strong", the tom assured after Fallendew spoke and licked her face to show her that he had forgiven her for her actions and just wanted her to be okay. He then looked up at the mention of his name and saw Rosepaw and Pebblepaw standing before him. "What is it young ones?", he asked pulling away from his mate and facing the two toms.

Arcticstrike took a moment and looked about him. Seeing the familiar camp about him and his clanmates feeling safe within its walls. "Its not just the wolves that are a danger. Its sickness as well", he stated before turning back to look his friend in the eyes. "I am certain." The tom didn't want to leave any more than she did but he knew that it was their only chance at survival.

RosePaw glanced at PebblePaw before taking a deep breath, his eyes shining with determination. "CreekStar. We can't survive here. There not enough prey with the wolves around and so now they're going after us. FallenDew is running out herbs from the sickness that hit us and all of the wounds we keep returning with." He sighed sadly. "We won't survive here. We need to find a new home."

With a lot of effort, the slender warrior managed to drag herself to her paws and settle back on her haunches. It was by no means a comfortably position, but at least in this manner she was able to listen and engage in the conversation properly. Soaringflower pressed against her mate as he listened to the pleas of the apprentices but even she found herself torn between the choices. She wanted her kits to be born in the place she had known as home for as long as she could remember, but also wanted them safe. The simple matter of fact was that she didn't know if there was any safe place left for them anymore, and the young warrior bowed her head. The fear of everything now seemed doubled with the prospect of the life she now carried in her belly. "We need to leave," Soaringflower agreed aloud managing to sound at least somewhat certain. "That much is clear, but where do we go?"

RosePaw looked over at where CurrentPaw was, his feelings stirring as he thought of her dying if they stayed here. "Yes, we need to leave. For the sake of all the future members of our clan. Please CreekStar. We can do this as long we stay together and help each other every step of the way. We just need to choose a direction and travel until we find a new home."

Pebblepaw nodded and stepped forward to not only support Rosepaw, but to speak for his sister. "My sister was on that patrol, and she too was with Rosepaw and saw it all... Seeing her so scared made me realize how much danger Hollowclan is in". He paused and took a breath. "I mean no disrespect Creekstar, but I standby Rosepaw. It's not safe."

RosePaw looked at his friend, his eyes shining with gratefulness. I should tell PebblePaw about my feelings for CurrentPaw. He truly cares for his sister and so he should know. RosePaw ignored the thought for now, waiting for CreekStar's answer.

Mosspebble paused before nodding. She glanced over at where Currentpaw laid curled up with some of the other injured warriors, her fur still on end and her eyes staring straight forward as she had her paws tucked close to her body. She turned back to Arcticstrike, her pale green eyes filled with more determination. "Ok, I trust you and am with you on this"

Creekstar was taken back by the apprentices words, he spoke as if he was a warrior. However Creekstar knew that he was right and nodded. After hearing his mates opinion he spoke. "Its time we hade a clan meeting. I heard you Rosepaw and Pebblepaw, thank you for telling me your opinion it is greatly valued", he said not wanting the apprentices to think his voice didn't matter. Turning he looked to his mate and gave her an affectionate nudge before looking to Fallendew and silently asking her to look after his mate. The clan leader then bounded over to the fallen tree within the camp and stood ontop of it. The tom raised his muzzle to the sky and gave a yowl to get everyones attention. "Gather for a clan meeting", the tom commanded.
Sunfeather had almost drifted off to sleep when she heard Creekstar familiar yowl for everyone to gather for a clan meeting. Despite her feeling weak from being sick she pushed herself shakily to her paws and walked out of the medicine cats den and positioned herself right outside of it, close enough to hear but far enough away from the others as to not get them sick.
Arcticstrike was about to say something else when he heard Creekstar call for a clan meeting. "Ah good", he commented to no one. The tom was already in a good spot so he didn't move he just simply turned to face his leader with his head.
Leopardfrost woke from within his nest and heard Creekstar calling for a clan meeting. Exiting the warriors den the tom was surprised to find a whole patrol of wounded warriors. Pushing his way to his brother Arcticstrike he questioned. "What happened? I take a nap and you go and try to feed yourself to the wolves", he meowed trying to have good humor and light the mood. His brother just twitched his whiskers in amusement before looking back at their leader.
Ivysong heard the call for a clan meeting and didn't hesitate to exit the nursery and she found her way to her mates side. Pressing up against him for warmth the queen looked about her with wide eyes towards her wounded clanmates and then looked up to Creekstar.

RosePaw tpuched PebblePaw thankfully on the shoulder before nodding to CurrentPaw. "Let's go sit by your sister." He then padded to the she-cat and sat beside her, patting the ground beside him to signal for PebblePaw to sit.
--
FallenDew nodded and sat down by SoaringFlower, curling her tail over her paws. She glanced at the queen to be sure she had treated all of her wounds before looking toward where CreekStar stood, ready to speak to the clan.
--
PoolingWater had been grooming her tail the best she could when she heard CreekStar's summons. Standing she winced in pain before padding forward and seating herself comfortably, bringing her tail round to rest on her paws. She then looked up at the leader, eager for whatever knew he had.

Managing half a smile at the nuzzling of her mate, the queen forced herself to her paws and followed her clanmates to the fallen tree and settled herself in the best position to further hurt her wounds. Head held low as she listened to the clan gather around her, waiting with baited breath for her mate's decision. In honesty she was scared, but there was nothing left here for any of them. And she wasn't going to let her kits be born only to become the dinner of some mangey wolf. Soaringflower would follow her mate to the ends of the earth, she just hoped her clanmates would do the same. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nettlemask, who had settled himself beside his two brothers looked up at the sound of his mate approaching. And he moved to help her find somewhere comfortable to sit, nodding to Leopardfrost and Arcticstrike as the pair sat beside them. He entwined his long tail with his mate's and pressed close to her.

Pebblepaw nodded, feeling a sense of pride in his and Rosepaw's words to Creekstar. As he settled himself beside Rosepaw, he glanced over at Currentpaw who still seemed dazed yet was still looking up to Creekstar, showing she was at least paying attention. Pebblepaw reminded himself to talk to her later, knowing that she could be quiet and timid.
Mosspebble looked up to Creekstar at the sound of his yowl, choosing to stay where she was to listen to what their leader had to say.
Currentpaw felt the brush of a pelt hear hers and glanced up to see Rosepaw. She quietly dipped her head to him, giving a small smile before turning back to Creekstar. Her heart beat had slowed down, but her pelt still stood up slightly, but she did not seem focused much on those others around her at that moment.

Creekstar watched as his clan gathered below him and once it seemed as if everyone was there he spoke loud and clear so that all could hear him. "For those of you who do not know, the border patrol has just returned with grave news. They were attacked by wolves and our beloved deputy, Hawkcry... sacrificed himself to save them. He died honorably as the fierce and loving warrior he was always known to be." Creekstar had to pause for a minute before continuing. "My Starclan guide his paws and may he hunt happily in the Silverpelt from this day forth." The leader blinked tears from his eyes and looked up at the sky. There was only a little bit of daylight left in the day thinking for a brief moment he then continued. "It is time we take a vote to decide the fate of Hollowclan. I may be leader but you are all my beloved friends and family so I want to know what you want. I know many of you speak of leaving, Hollowclan territory is no longer safe. I personally believe that it is time to leave and allow Starclan to guide our paws to a new home. Somewhere were we will be safe from the wolves and so that we can leave behind the sickness that plagues our clan. So all who wish to leave move to the left side of this tree and all who wish to stay move to the right side of the tree." He knew that this would be a difficult decision but the clan leader knew that it was necessary for everyone to make it.

Arcticstrike looked to both his brothers and pushed himself painfully to his paws. He then slowly limped and took up position on the left side of the tree, deciding that he wanted to leave.
Ivypool watched as Arcticstrike rose and went to the leave side and she looked up to her mate. "Nettlemask, I wish to leave. Please come with me", she meowed pushing herself to her paws ready to walk over to the leave side.
Leopardfrost was taken back by all that had occurred and he just simply didn't know what to do. This was his home, this was where he had grown up and spent all his life, and he couldn't imaging life anywhere else. However the dangers were so real and life threatening the spotted warrior was torn. He then watched as Arcticstrike moved over to the leave side and he looked to Nettlemask to see what his decision was. Leopardfrost decided to go where ever his bothers chose to go.
Sunfeather quickly moved over to the leave side not wanting to stay here a moment longer. The she-cat had watched her friends and family die around her and she did not wish to see it any more.

RosePaw, PoolingWater, and FallenDew all stood up at the same time. PoolingWater looked at her mate, hoping he would follow her as she padded to the left side of the tree and stood proudly, knowing that if they left the clan would have a chance at survival. RosePaw nodded to PebblePaw and hen joined FallenDew and the two padded over and stood beside PoolingWater.

Pebblepaw watched Currentpaw not hesitate in getting up and moving to the leave side. She took a place beside Mosspebble who had also followed Arcticstrike to the leave side. Pebblepaw already knew what his answer was after seeing his sister and Rosepaw put through what had happened. He sighed, got to his paws, and padded slowly to join most of the clan on the leave side. They were no longer safe.

Listening to her mate speak with ears pricked to alert, she had to resort to leaning a little on the medicine cat for fear of falling flat to her side once again from sheer weakness after the battle with the wolves. The pregnant shecat lifted herself to her paws, unsteady and struggling to remain upright but there was a definitiveness to the way she moved and the care to how she put her feet as she carried herself from where she'd been sitting to the left side of the tree. Sitting down pointedly on this side, she cast a gaze to her mate from the corner of her eyes but aimed to not distract him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sparkpaw followed the queen's movements, in equal parts to ensure that the shecat didn't cause herself any further aim as she found herself somewhere to sit on the left hand side of the tree, and also because she wished to vote for this side. There was no life left for them here, and they needed to leave whilst they still could. Watching Soaringflower with careful eyes, she watched the clan around her make their decisions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wolfshadow sat and made a decision quietly to himself, more serious than he ever really appeared. The flirtatious and playful tom sat, contemplating his choices carefully and with a degree of uncertainty. This was his home, and part of him wanted to stay and fight for what was his. But he knew the need to protect the clan and keep as many cats alive as was possible after all they had lost. After having made his deciison, the black tom stood and moved to the left side of the tree and sat down. He sat quietly beside his mate, nuzzling her ear in greeting and turning his head to the leader to watch in silence as the rest of the clan began to move. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regardless of his own opinions or choices, Nettlemask would have followed his mate to the ends of the earth and had followed her like a shadow to the left hand side of the tree. Wrapping his tail around her and pulling her close, touching his nose to the swell of her stomach.

Creekstar watched as all of his clan moved to the left side for whatever reasons they had. Once they had all decided the clan leader nodded. "Then it is decided. We shall leave in search for a new home. However due to the recent battle wounds and Sunfeather still being sick we shall wait two more days. Only to recover enough for everyone to be strong enough to leave. During these last two days we will only focus on hunting no longer containing the borders. We will leave at dawn for Star Cave on the second sunrise." With the decision made the clan leader leapt down from ontop the fallen tree dismissing the meeting and went straight up to Fallendew. "Will you meet me in my den?", he wished to seek counsel from the clans medicine cat. He then turned and went to Soaringflower. "Come on my love lets get you to our den to rest", he said and did his best to help her towards their den.
((I'm thinking about doing a time skip to the morning that they will be leaving after Creekstar talked with Fallendew. Is everyone okay with that?))

(fine by me )
Touching her nose to her mate's shoulder, lifting herself back to her paws a little unsteadily. Biting back the whimpering sound as she followed her mate through the camp and into the leader's den. She settled into their shared nest, curling into a tight ball and pressing her nose deep into the fur of her underbelly. Allowing a whimper to at last slip from her lips now she was in the privacy of their den, she watched her mate curiously, with a twitch of her ears she tried to ignore the pull of sleep long enough to listen.
