The dark tom gave a well humored huff at the mention of climbing "I think I could handle it" he purred, his tail flicking out of eagerness. Twistedbreeze pricked his ears as Hillclaw approached, he listened quietly to the poor tom cat trying to ask to join their hunt. When Dewleaf gave him a quick look he stiffened, he hadn't been expecting to be invited into the conversation "I'd be more than happy for you to join us" he meowed padding up to Dewleafs side. He gave Hillclaw a warm smile, trying to make the tom feel a little more comfortable about joining their patrol. The tom gave a little growl to himself as he felt a fly settle onto his pelt, he turned sharply trying to snap at the thing, he quickly noticed his mistake and felt a sudden wave of embarrassment wash over him "Pesky fly" he muttered. Twistedbreeze straightened himself up, licking his paw and cleaning quickly behind his ear where there was a small bit of dust gathering "So shall we go the suns killing me!" he gave a little chuckle though he was more than eager to get to the shade of the mountain forests, his dark fur was seeping up the sun and he felt like his fur was on fire.

"Of course," Swallowspot purred, finally turning tail and walking. Though she wanted to bolt and run until her heart's content right then and there, she kept at a slow pace so that the tom could keep up. The area around them was beautiful. She kept letting out quiet purrs, her tail high in the air behind her, waving proudly at whichever creatures may have been watching.

Hillclaw felt relieved when Twistedbreeze gave his okay in terms of the other warrior joining the hunt. He let out a breath he had not realized he had been holding and a calmer expression appeared on his face. However, he quickly got nervous again when the feeling arose inside of him that Twistedbreeze might not want him as company after all. Hillclaw forced himself to let go of that thought and concentrate on something different. If he wanted to hunt anything, he knew he had to be on full alert and could not be insecure and unsure. "Thank you," he mewed briefly. "And yes, we should get going. I can't wait!"

A chuckle escaped the young she-cat upon seeing the dark gray tom struggling once more with the fly, unable to hide the amusement she clearly found in his little friend. Nevertheless, Everyone seemed ready and that was well and good enough for her, though she paused to offer Hillclaw a soft word, "Relax." her tone gentle and a seemingly understanding smile on her face. She soon then began heading off towards the exit, glancing over her shoulder with her tail raised proudly, "Then come along, I could use a good run." And with that said, she dashed out of the camp, hardly waiting for her clanamtes to come along.

Twistedbreeze chuckled and darted after Dewleaf "don't leave us behind!" he called. Moments later he noticed his little fly friend settled on his pelt, Twistedbreeze let out a groan but decided to leave his new little friend there. The dark tabby raced harder after Dewleaf, letting out a yowl of joy, it felt good to have a new warm day, to be able to run without frost and snow stinging his pads. As he was running the tom felt a stray rock to late and went tumbling over. He grunted sitting up, so much for his pads not stinging! He groomed the stone bits from his paws wincing at the sharp pain that shot up his paw as he picked at the bits.

"It's a bit boring," Swallowspot mewed, her small paws trodding the soft grass. "However, I do quite enjoy it. It's nice to be able to talk to whomever I please while they're off duty." She lowered her tail a bit from the chuckles, but not too much. "I suspect being a warrior is much fun as well?" She looked at the sky, smiling as very few clouds were scattered around and the sun was shining proudly.

Although the work of a medicine cat was well worth being respected, and Stormfeather of all cats knew that well, he bore no envy for such a position. He could not begin to imagine being trapped in camp quite consistently, even were it for the benefit of the clan. That was the difference, perhaps, between a cat destined to be a medicine cat and those that became warriors. "I see your point, I admit I'd probably have gone stir-crazy long before in your position." he soon replied, expression reflecting his well-meaning comment. After all, it took a special kind of cat to put the needs of the clan so high. However, the return of the questioned earned a thoughtful smile, but his eyes shone with confidence. "Satisfying at any rate. I wouldn't change it even if I were to have such an option." He paused, before a bit of laughter escaped his throat, "Though, I suppose I do have another option, but I'm not ready to retire to the elder's den." His stir-crazy argument stood valid to that reasoning as well without a doubt. Nevertheless, they soon approached the river, the polished stone's peeking from the ever moving surface of the river, but he turned away, towards the southern direction. After all, the Stepping stones would take them closer to the twoleg farm than he particularly enjoyed. They were in no rush and the shallow stones further down offered a quicker and safer path.

"I do not expect you to be retiring any time soon, Stormfeather. You still have the energy of a new apprentice! The elders would kick you out of their den the second your energetic soul stepped in there," Swallowspot giggled, following behind the tom. "Why the sudden turn?" she asked, tilting her head, though the amusement was still gleaming in her eyes. "Surely you're not scared of being captured."

The she-cat's comment earned a sound of laughter from the smokey gray tom, "I wouldn't doubt that, they'd quickly grow tired of MY complaints of being fiendishly bored without a doubt as well." Perhaps that would have been a form of irony, knowing how well elder's were known for their complaining habits. With that many years of service under their paws, however, he was hardly one to judge the old fellows too harshly. Something of an amused huff escaped Stormfeather at the medicine cat's claim, as if feigning some form of offense taken before glancing over his shoulder. "Hardly, twolegs barely seem able to catch their own dogs let alone me." He paused looking thoughtful, "Besides, neither direction takes any longer in particular, and a wise cat certainly takes the safer route where possible. At least I'd like to think so." In reality, he simply didn't much care for the area, and he was not unaware of the lone cats that paraded about the barns themselves. All and all it seemed ripe with confrontations far easier to avoid, particularly under the circumstances of a simple walk.

(Since Aluco seems to have gone awol on us, I'll continue now. Stillanonion ) Laughter escaped the pretty young she-cat as she remained ahead of the toms she had bolted ahead of, perhaps enjoying the thought of forcing a chase. From the sounds of it, Twistedbreeze didn't seem as opposed to it and his previous call might have implied, at least that's what Dewleaf chose to garner from the yowl. However, glancing over her shoulder moments later, she caught sight of the warrior taking quite the tumble and skidded to a far from graceful stop, nearly toppling over herself in the process. She soon had scampered back over to the gray colored cat, pausing infront of him, her soft green gaze falling over him with concern glimmering in the depths. "You alright there, Twistedbreeze?" She pause for a moment, eyes darting about as if attempting to deduce what had happened whilst she wasn't looking.

Twistedbreeze looked up from his paw and stood up "I'm fine my pads just a bit scratched is all!" the tom meowed cheerfully. Suddenly the dark tabby tom darted ahead "Last one to the mountain forests are a piece of crowfood!" he yowled, remembering his early days as an apprentice when he used to race his denmates to pretty much wherever they were going. The tom winced as his paw pad touched the ground that had hardened due to the hot early new-leaf day. Despite that Twistedbreeze raced ahead gritting his teeth as his pad began to hurt even more, the tom pushed the thoughts of his aching paw to the back of his mind as best he could. With his paw pad successfully out of his mind Twistedbreeze felt great! The grass was actually much softer beneath his paws than he had given credit for and a soft breeze whisked across his face. The dark tom had always loved New-leaf as it was never as hot as Green-leaf and that it held promise for those rainy days he loved so much. But today was another one of his favorite weathers a nice hot sun above his head and a little breeze to stop the heat from being unbearable, he was mostly happy that there was no more snow. The tom shivered at the thought of the cold crunchy stuff that made his claws ache and drenched him, it didn't even let him dry of properly and it seeped all the warmth from his and every other living creatures body. The snow from the Leaf-bare just passed had made the dark warrior extremely sick, he had just managed to struggle through his terrible bout of Green-cough.

"That is true. Although even wise cats have a sense of adventure, I am sure," Swallowspot responded, loving the feeling of the sun shining down on her fur. She let out an involuntary yawn, however, it was not of boredom. The medicine cat would just sometimes yawn, her mouth opening before she could do anything about it. Though, the warmth of her fur could very much have been a factor of that yawn, as well as the quietness of her surroundings. "Have you ever wondered why clan cats don't normally accept outsiders?"

Dewleaf might have protested had the tom not suddenly taken advantage of her concern and bolted ahead, even so she could hardly feel anger at him for it, snorting in feigned annoyance. Without wasting more time, she began dashing after him, her paws beating against the soft grasses of the ground below, "Prepare to be crowfood!" she called out in playful jest, though it was anyone's guess if she would be able to catch back up to Twistedbreeze what with his head start, ha! It was hard to have a dampened mood regardless, with such a beautiful day ahead of them and only the warmth of new-leaf and soon enough green-leaf to warm them and bring about life within Galeclan's territory. Pushing herself further to catch up with the tall silver tabby, a gleam of mischief entered her gaze, though aware her companion may just be too distracted to notice. Once believing herself close enough to him for success, she attempted to kick off the ground in a leap and, essentially, pounce on the hopefully unsuspecting cat.

Little did the she-cat know Twistedbreeze had been making sure to keep track of where she was. He smirked as he heard her racing up behind him thinking there was no way the she-cat could catch up to him, however what he did not count on was that Dewlead would simply try to outrun him. Suddenly Twistedbreeze couldn't hear the pounding of the grey and white tabby she-cats paws on the ground. The dark tom twisted his head around to late to be able to dodge out of the way, though he did make a small attempt to scramble out of the way that was met with failure. The she-cat carried him of his feet and the two went tumbling down a small hill. Twistedbreeze felt like he had just been battered in an intense training session by the time they reached the bottom of the hill. He looked down to see he had somehow landed on top of the pretty tabby "Well" he meowed "That was unexpected" he smirked a little "However consider this an option" the larger tom cat let his paws drop from under him and he essentially pinned Dewleaf by laying ontop of her.

A light chuckle escaped the gray warrior at the Medicine cat's words, offering a slow nod in defeat on the matter, "Perhaps so, but I was surely more adventurous back when I was a hot-blooded youth." He paused, however, as he noticed the she-cat yawning, tilting his head slightly for but a moment, before a smirk rose to his face. "Although, maybe you'd enjoy the adventurous youth a fair bit more." Stormfeather teased with a bout of laughter, if nothing else understanding the effects of the warm sun about as well as any cat. A warm day tended to make for drowsy cats, himself not at all excluded. His paused in his step upon hearing Swallowspot's question, however, his amber eyes resting on the she-cat for a moment, as if truly considering her question. "I wonder many things I can't answer, though many would say because it's against the warrior code, or that it's dangerous." he paused once more, glancing across the river, eyes clouding with distance for some moment as if losing himself in his thoughts as a more somber expression took hold. "But danger comes from all places, so I'm not sure I can agree that outsiders are the most threatening.." He quickly shook is head as if clearing away distant memories, a more pleasant expression returning soon after. "But don't mind the ramblings of an old cat such as me, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter. You must have an opinion of your own to ask that." Stormfeather's response seemed of genuine interest if nothing else.

Twistedbreeze chuckled as the she-cat struggled below him "All is fair in the battle field" he meowed grinning down at her. His ear twitched as he heard the by now all to familiar sound of his fly friend buzzing "Starclan please no" he whined, though he didn't make any move like he was going to get up. "I'll have to face two opponents!" he meowed "Seems your fly clan mate has come to try and save you" he joked, his deep green eyes shining with mischief. He tensed as he felt the fly land on the base of his tail and attempted to flick it away with his tail to no avail. He let out a playful growl eyeing the fly, he thought carefully as to how he could defeat his greatly anoying enemy, he could try and swat it but then he'd let Dewleaf out of his grasp. An idea popped int his head, the large tom rolled over making the fly go shooting up into the air to avoid being crushed and giving Dewleaf a momentary advantage.

A snort escaped the young warrior at the larger cat's comment, forced to pause her writhing momentarily as she became aware she wasn't going to be able to brute strength her way out of the position she was in. However, Dewleaf couldn't hold in the laughter as the fly 'came to her rescue' so to speak. She almost pitied Twistedbreeze, His constant follower undoubtedly causing him more trouble than a simple bug ought to, though she could hardly blame him. It seemed the fly had starclan itself on it's side with how it seemed to be avoiding defeat from the fairly powerful warrior, although that was just a silly thought in itself. However, as the tom rolled over, she didn't pass up the opportunity to get the drop on her clan mate, and promptly rolled the opposite direction back onto her paws. Wasting little time, although perhaps not the wisest choice, she attempted to leap back at the top, preparing to either land on him or be forced to accept the consequences of her impulsive action.

Twistedbreeze was feeling quite satisfied with himself until he noticed his mistake. The good weather, cool breeze and pleasantly soft grass beneath him had distracted him from his task of keeping Dewfall down. He realized much to late that the she-cat had rolled away. He got up to his paws, looking around desperately for the she-cat, ready for an attack, however he couldn't see even a whisker of the she-cat. The tom had a thought, he looked up only to see it appeared to be raining grey and white tabby she-cats. Dewfall landed straight on top of the silver tabby warriors back, knocking the wind out of him. He lay beneath her for a moment, his ears flicking in defeat. He groaned before taking a deep breath and wriggling with all his might "I shall have my revenge!" the tom yowled, his paws flailing around in the soft grass.

Twistedbreeze got up again, chuckling. He looked over to Dewleaf "Right we were meant to be hunting!" he laughed, the usually rather hard to distract tom had completely forgotten about what they had set out to do. "Well then I slay our mighty enemy of the prey in the forest!" he declared, puffing up his chest fur in a playful proudness. He started to head back up the hill "Well we shoulf probably get to the mountain forests first" he meowed, almost slipping on a bit of loose earth. He felt his paws slide from under him once again, luckily this time he regained his balance a few moments after. A slight sense of embarrassment washed over him, his paws were so clumsy under him today. Most likley due to him not eating yet, but perhaps it could have been the weather as he usually waited to eat after he hunted. Once the tom was at the top of the hill he shook in the hopes to dislodge the loose bits of grass that clung to his pelt.

Twistedbreeze chuckled, playfully nudging Dewleaf as she made her comment about his fly follower "So it seems!" he meowed. The tom chuckled as they continued padding forward, trying to make sure his cursed paws didn't trip him up again. "I know!" the tom meowed all of a sudden "I am the chosen one!" he jested "The chosen kit pawed leader of flyclan!" he leaped onto a rock that was jutting up in front of them "I shall rule the strongest clan in the world!" He yowled. Just as he was jumping down his cursed paw slipped on the smooth rock, making him fall rather awkwardly from the rock, luckily this time it was just soft ground to catch his fall. Standing up Twistedbreeze groomed down his chest fur awkwardly "Damn this curse" he muttered dramatically.

Dewleaf couldn't begin to hold in her laughter as the tom went on with his dramatic and all too amusing display regarding the fly and 'flyclan' at that. "The mighty Twistedstar, kit-pawed leader of Flyclan. Has a nice ring to it I suppose." she teased in return, though the image of Twisted breeze with a swarm of flies at his beck and call was quite the mental image. She wasn't sure if it would be considered comical or frightening, but perhaps that made it all the more relieving to know such a thing would never be the true case. However, she visibly cringed at the sight of her clanmate taking yet another tumble before scampering down afterwards to make sure he was alright. "This curse will be the death of you if you're not careful." She replied, her voice soft but eyes still bearing a glimmer of amusement. "Wont be catching so much as a lame mouse if you keep falling all over yourself--" She pause, almost as if she was considering for a moment, "Although perhaps with your new found talent of falling, you might just fall on one and crush it to death." the she-cat mused in her humor, giving his ear a light cuff with her paw.
