IC:
Bristlestorm, Brownleaf, Cascadepaw, Carpgaze || Thunderpath Border || With - Crabclaw & Nightpaw
βThey certainly can take kits.β Bristlestorm replied with a nod of agreement to Crabclaw. He looked down at the mouse remains. βIt does seem a bit odd.. Though I doubt they just dropped it.β The large warrior seemed to contemplate it for a moment longer before giving a dismissive wave of his tail.
βItβs possible that it got into a fight with another bird... or maybe something scared the hawk.β Brownleaf suggested as she glanced around at the others.
βNo need to worry about it now.β Bristlestorm grumbled as he nudged the mouse over to the hole Crabclaw had made.
Pearcloud || Camp || With - Tawnykit & Urchinkit Pearcloud smiled. βThatβs right.β She meowed in approval. Her smile faded as the two kits started to argue. She frowned and let out a small sigh. βCalm down you two. Be nice.β She meowed, attempting to sound a bit more scolding despite her quiet voice.
Nightstripe, Tilapianose & Hawkpaw || Tide Pools || With - Swiftstorm
Nightstripe quickly gathered the fish she had caught as she got ready to leave with the others. Tilapianose turned his head as he heard Swiftstormβs voice. He noticed the approaching clouds and quickly understood the deputyβs reasoning for ending their fishing trip. He quickly picked up the fish he had caught and began to make his was over to the rest of the patrol.
Hawkpaw smiled and nodded his head to Swiftstorm before picking up his fish. He was a bit disappointed they couldnβt fish any longer, especially since he still had a record to beat. But the apprentice didnβt complain and padded swiftly after the deputy.

{ they are seriously great drawings! I'm jealous, lol }
Nightpaw could understand why they weren't really worrying about the fact that there was a hawk around. But the apprentice couldn't help but feel just a little on edge about it, amber eyes constantly glancing upwards just in case the large bird of prey was going to come back at any moment and attack them. Not that he thought one hawk would have much of a chance against six cats, but you never knew what could happen. "We should still tell Sandstar or Swiftstorm about what we found, though," he added with a small nod of his head, "Just to be on the safe side." There had be some reason why a hawk would just drop kill.
Swiftstorm kept a tight grip on the fish in his mouth, though still careful not to make any more holes with his teeth. His mouth was already watering, though he knew that the clan needed to be fed first. And with the obstruction in the way, he couldn't really say anything, but he didn't really need to, just silently heading through the caves back towards camp, keeping his nose open for any scent of Mistlepaw. The scent of the apprentice was still strong, so she must have come this way and he did wonder if they were going to be able to catch up with her before the returned to camp.

Crabclaw swept the dirt back over the mouse, flicking the excess off his paw. He then nodded towards the apprentices. "They should definitely be made aware, and maybe you two could warn Pearcloud while the kits are distracted? You don't want to scare them too badly." Crabclaw swished his tail and said, "Well, should we mark the border and head back?"

Scorchtail yawned as he neared the coast, padding down the sandy bank up to the water and watching the waves carefully. His ears flicked and he blinked a few times, having woken up not too long ago from not a very good night's sleep. He climbed over to the rocks that led out to deeper waters where more fish could be found, and sat on a rocky ledge just above the water. This was usually his favourite spot to fish as the limestone coloured rock he sat with his back to made his bright white pelt blend in, so no fish would see him. He shook his pelt before sitting still, glad the smell of the salt water was making him more alert and awake. He watched the water motionlessly and waited.

The splashing water from the tide made it hard to see any of the fish coming but Scorchtail caught sight of one clearly when the water settled directly after a wave. He dove his paw in, claws already extended and hooked the fish up and out of the water. He turned to his side and pressed the fish down onto the rock while it flailed for a moment before he gave the killing bite. He pushed it under a ledge out of the sunlight so it would keep fresh before turning back to the waters. He would have to wait a while before any fish would return to the water he'd disturbed.

Home sounded good. That meant rest and food, which was rather at the front of his mind seeing as his stomach was starting to growl now. Next time he was sent on patrol, he was going to ask if he could eat something first. "At least there is that," Nightpaw agreed at Cascadepaw's words, nodding his head and feeling just a little better that a great big bird wasn't about to steal any of the kits. At least, not while they were safe inside the camp.
Instead of helping mark up the border, Nightpaw was already eagerly looking back the way they had come, already thinking about what he was going to be filling his stomach with one he got back. "Are we ready?" He did have to ask, tail impatiently swaying from side to side as he glanced back at the other cats, "I'm starving."
Swiftstorm was at the head of the group as they padded along, paws creating a soft echo in the tunnels as they moved forward. Even though the smell of fish he could tell that they were catching up to Mistlepaw, and it was not all too long before he spotted her just ahead of them. That's when he picked up the pace, even if the she-cat had slowed down to allow them to catch up. Though he couldn't speak, he brushed her shoulder with his tail in greeting before moving ahead of her to allow her to join the group as they trotted back into camp with their catch.

Scorchtail noticed the senior warrior coming by his coughing before Oysterfur spoke. He flicked his ear hearing the coughing but kept his gaze squarely on the water before the old tom came closer and he looked up. "Thank you." he replied. "If there is a good thing about the tide it's that it is bringing the fish closer in from the sea." The large tom added.

Bristlestorm, Brownleaf, Cascadepaw, Carpgaze || Thunderpath Border || With - Crabclaw & Nightpaw
Bristlestorm helped the others finish marking the border when he turned to glare at Nightpaw as he noticed the apprentice just standing off to the side. The warrior was nearly tempted to extend the border patrol all the way to the other side of their territory. But that would be punishing all of them and not just the impatient apprentice. βWeβre all starving.. Learn to think with your head not your gut.β He grumbled. The tom let out a sigh. βBut yes, weβre done. Letβs head back home.β Bristlestorm announced to the others before beginning to turn and walk back in the direction of camp.
Brownleaf gave a small smile and nodded. She turned to follow Bristlestormβs lead.
Pearcloud || Camp || With - Tawnykit & Urchinkit Pearcloud twitched her tail. βWell...β She began, glancing around as she thought of what to do next. Her gaze shifted towards the freshkill pile and she decided it was best if they took a small break. Hopefully the two siblings would cool their heads. She smiled a little at the kits. βNext is a break.. Are you two hungry?β She asked
Nightstripe, Tilapianose, Mistlepaw & Hawkpaw || Ocean Tunnels|| With - Swiftstorm Mistlepaw gave a small nod to Swiftstorm and quietly fell into step with the rest of the patrol. She kept her gaze low, avoiding looking at her clan-mates as she still felt rather ashamed.
Hawkpaw tried to give his den-mate an encouraging look but it seemed lost so he just quietly looked ahead as the patrol returned to camp.
Oysterfur || Beach || With - Scorchtail Oysterfur gave a small nod. He sat down nearby and stared down into the water, looking for fish. He fell silent for a moment, focusing on his fishing but didnβt see anything close enough to grab. βToo bad it also makes it so dangerous though..β He meowed with a twitch of his bushy tail. He lifted his head to glance up at the cloudy sky with a sigh.

Nightpaw didn't really think that they needed every single one of them marking up the border, just one was enough. So, when Bristlestorm turned to glare at him, Nightpaw didn't even seem bothered by it, simply turning his amber eyes back to the way they had come. "I haven't eaten since the middle of yesterday," he did have to huff a little. He didn't get the chance to eat something before going back to his den last night and hadn't eaten before leaving for the patrol, either. So, the tom felt as though he had every right to be hungry and too tired to go on a long patrol. But it seemed as though he was going to get what he wanted as his mentor started leading the way back and Nightpaw was quick to follow, holding his tail high as he trotted after the warrior.
Swiftstorm picked up the pace of his strides as the group neared to the camp. It didn't take all too long before he slowed again as they padded back into the camp, his pale blue eyes instantly glancing around to see if anything had happened while they were gone, but it seemed as though it was the same as when they had left. Satisfied, he padded over towards the fresh-kill pile and dropping the fish in his jaw, instantly swiping around his muzzle with his tongue. Though before he moved off to find Sandstar and report, he turned his eyes to Mistlepaw. "Go and see Beetlewing," he told the apprentice in a firm voice, "Just to make sure you haven't caught a fever."

Pearcloud || Camp || With - Urchinkit & Tawnykit Pearcloud purred at their excitement. She smiled, glad that they at least seemed to agree on that. She rose to her paws and turned to see the fishing patrol just returning from camp. βWell, looks like we timed it perfectly.β She commented. βCome on then.β She turned and began to lead the kits over to the freshkill pile, dipping her head to the patrol as she passed by. She grabbed a small fish from the pile and stood back to let the kits get their share.
Nightstripe, Tilapianose, Mistlepaw & Hawkpaw || Camp|| With - Swiftstorm
Tilapianose trotted forward to drop off the fish he had caught. Though the tom didnβt say anything, he seemed rather proud of his catches. Nightstripe bounced forward to drop off herβs as well, though kept one fish for herself and padded off to enjoy her meal. Hawkpaw placed the fish he carried down on the pile and moved to sit down near the apprentice den to groom himself.
Mistlepaw was the last to put her crab down on the pile. She looked up at Swiftstorm as he spoke firmly to her. She silently nodded her head to the deputy before turning to pad off towards the medicine cat den.
Sandstar || Leaderβs Ledge|| With - Swiftstorm
Sandstar was sitting outside of her den. She spotted the patrol return and perked her ears forward as she was glad to see they seemed to have a successful trip. Though, she did notice the soaked Mistlepaw make a b-line towards the medicine cat den. She turned her head to look over at Swiftstorm as the deputy made his way over. βWelcome back! Seems the patrol went ok?β She asked.
Bristlestorm, Brownleaf, Cascadepaw, Carpgaze || Forest || With - Crabclaw & Nightpaw
Bristlestorm rolled his eyes at Nightpawβs huff but was done with the conversation as he began to lead the patrol back towards camp. He was glad to get away from the thunderpath and back into the forest. The sour smell still lingered but was growing fainter as the patrol journeyed father away.
Carpgaze looked around with boredom in his gaze. He was rather disappointed with the patrol but the young tom kept quiet as he followed the others. Brownleaf scented the air for prey, wondering if they should still hunt. However, she noticed Bristlestorm seemed rather intent on returning to camp.

Acornfur - camp - with Sandstar and Swiftstorm
Upon noticing the return of the patrol, he got up excitedly. He saw Swiftstorm walking up to Sandstar and heard her ask whether the patrol had been okay, which was a question he had wanted to ask as well. However, his eyes noticed Mistlepaw who did not seem as if the trip had been all that great for her. Turning his head again, he decided to walk over to the two cats having a conversation. "Did something happen?" he decided to ask carefully because he had no idea what was going on. He was also unsure of whether it was his place to talk or if he should be waiting for the leader to finish her conversation. After all, he did not want to annoy or provoke anybody

"It should be well enough for us, but I don't think we should let any of the apprentices come around here until the tide..." Scorchtail was cut off when he noticed another fish and quickly hooked his paw in to catch it. It was a smaller, brightly coloured fish and he set it next to the other one he'd caught.

Swiftstorm paused where he was, making sure that Mistlepaw had listened to him before he eventually padded off to find Sandstar. And it wasn't hard to find the leader, either, dipping his head in greeting as he trotted closer. "It went well, we caught quite a bit," he meowed, first rolling off the good news. And he was about to get to the worse news when he was rather rudely interrupted by Acornfur. "I was just getting to that," he informed the tom rather abruptly as he shifted his gaze to the warrior, staring him down for a moment before his blue eyes moved back to Sandstar. "The weather looked like it was going to turn for the worse, so I called it off early. And Mistlepaw fell in, but I sent her to see Beetlewing. She should be fine."
Nightpaw was more than happy to get away from the thunderpath, eagerly taking in the more fresh scents of the forest and trying to push the bitter smelling strip out of his mind- and nose. Though walking was starting to get tiresome now and he was struggling to keep up with the pace of the patrol, paws starting to drag along as he slowly started to trail behind the others. "Slow down a little," he couldn't help but meow, desperately trying to keep going and not fall back too much, because he was sure that Bristlestorm would be happy if he started to trail too much. "My paws feel like they're about to drop off."

Acornfur - camp - with Swiftstorm and Sandstar
The warrior was slightly hurt but also embarrassed - both because of how he had behaved in such an inappropriate manner but also because it should have been obvious that Mistlepaw did not have anything completely wrong with her. He had overreacted, yes, and he felt very ashamed. The tom looked down to the ground, nervously standing next to the two higher-ranked cats. He stayed silent, not wanting to say anything that could cause further damage. Not even a sorry could leave his lips as he did not want to interrupt again.

Crabclaw, who was walking towards the back of the group, nodded in agreement with Nightpaw. "If we slow down, it would be easier to sniff around for some prey just in case, as well." He'd already been walking with his jaws parted, taking in the scents of the forest and hoping for something to cross their path.

Oysterfur|| Beach || With - Scorchtail Oysterfur turned his head as he gave a couple more coughs. He was listening when he noticed Scorchtail caught another fish. He shrugged his shoulders to the warriorβs words. βI donβt know... We lost Snakewind to the tides... And Moonpetal drowned too..β He rasped before trying to clear his throat. He spotted a small silver fish come close by, swimming away from Scorchtail. Oysterfur dove his paw into the water and expertly scooped the fish out. He grabbed it with his jaws and placed it down in the pile.
Sandstar || Leaderβs Ledge|| With - Swiftstorm & Acornfur
Sandstar shifted her gaze over as the young warrior joined in the conversation. She gave a small nod of acknowledgement to him before focusing back to Swiftstorm as he gave the report. She was glad to hear that the patrol went well and that Mistlepaw was alright. βWell, thatβs good. Iβm glad we were able to get in some fishing before the weather got worse.β She meowed with approval. She looked over at Acornfur who seemed rather nervous and gave him a reassuring smile before turning back to her deputy. βHopefully Mistlepaw will be fine too. I noticed Oysterfur has been coughing quite a bit too..β She added with a note of worry.
Bristlestorm, Brownleaf, Cascadepaw, Carpgaze || Forest || With - Crabclaw & Nightpaw
Bristlestorm looked over his shoulder at Nightpaw and gave a small huff. He slowed his pace slightly as he didnβt want anyone to be left behind. The borders were secure but that certainly didnβt mean they were completely safe.
Cascadepaw was a bit thankful for the change of pace. Her paws were hurting a bit too but she didnβt want to say anything about it and had been attempting to just tough through it. She gave a quiet sigh of relief and slowed down alongside the others.

Maybe he had been a little harsh on the young warrior, but Swiftstorm didn't really appreciate being interrupted and didn't really think that Acornfur should have just joined in the conversation like that in the first place. But, the Bengal tom didn't say anything else on the matter, just considering Sandstar's meowed with a small nod of his head. "I did instruct Oysterfur to stay in camp and focus on getting better when he offered to come," he informed the she-cat with a twitch of his tale, blue eyes glancing around for just a moment before returning to Sandstar, "but I don't think he listened to me." He couldn't see him anywhere, but perhaps he was in either of the warrior dens or with the medicine cat like he suggested.
At least they had slowed down, letting him catch up again and give his poor paws a rest from the fast pace from behind. "Thank you," Nightpaw did remind himself to meow with a small dip of his head out of gratefulness. He didn't suppose for a second that Bristlestorm was very impressed with his performance on this patrol, but at the moment, the jet black tom didn't care much about what he thought. All he could really think about was getting back to camp, getting the weight of his paws and eating something to fill his growling stomach.

"Good catch." Scorchtail commented and shook the water off of his paws. "Maybe we should find some kind of vines or branches to keep around the rocks, in case anyone falls in we can use those to pull them out. If we did that we would also maybe want a temporary rule that there has to be at least 2 warriors here at a time, no one comes out here alone." Scorchtail looked back up the coastal ridge towards the forest, his ginger ears flicking.

Tawnykit bounded forwards, picking out a small minnow for herself. Urchinkit, however, took a much larger fish - One that seemed more suited to the appetite of an older apprentice, not a kit like himself. Tawnykit glanced over at her brother, frowning. "Are you sure you're gonna eat all that?" She asked in slight disbelief. "Yep!" Urchinkit purred in reply. Tawnykit shrugged, bending down to start her meal.

OOC : Hey guys! c: Sorry Iβm slow with replies right now. Lifeβs pretty busy with school stuff and work.
Oysterfur|| Beach || With - Scorchtail Oysterfur gave a small nod of thanks to Scorchtailβs compliment. He shrugged his shoulders as he stared down into the water. The older warrior flinched slightly as water splashed onto his bushy pelt as the tides were beginning to grow stronger. he gave his pelt a shake and looked over at the other warrior. βMaybe.β He mused quietly. βBranches would probably get washed away... But youβre right. We should probably travel out in pairs for now."
Sandstar || Leaderβs Ledge|| With - Swiftstorm & Acornfur
Sandstar frowned slightly. βI saw him enter the medicine cat den a while ago. Iβm not sure where heβs disappeared to since then though.β She admitted with a soft sigh. She sure hoped the warrior was resting rather than pushing himself to hunt or fish for the clan. Her eyes glance around the camp before resting upon Swiftstorm once more as she gave up looking for the older warrior. βThank you for the report Swiftstorm. You should probably get a bit of rest yourself.β She told her deputy with a small smile.
Bristlestorm, Brownleaf, Cascadepaw, Carpgaze || Forest || With - Crabclaw & Nightpaw
Bristlestorm walked through the forest quietly. He kept his gaze locked on the path ahead. The large tom still seemed alert as his ears swiveled to pick up the sounds coming from the forest around them.
Brownleaf looked over at Crabclaw as she noticed the younger warrior scenting around. βSmell anything?β She asked curiously. She had yet to scent around and wasnβt sure if there was any prey nearby.
Carpgaze looked around the forest and gave a small sigh. βWell this was long and boring.β He grumbled under his breath.
Pearcloud || Camp || With - Tawnykit & Urchinkit
Pearcloud looked down at Urchinkit with a slightly uncertain look as he took a bigger fish. Even the one she had picked up was on the smaller side. βUrchinkit, remember the rest of the clan has to eat too.. Youβll have to cut back soon now that weβre getting closer to leafbare.β She reminded him as she settled down nearby to eat her fish.

{ that's totally understandable don't worry! }
"He's not going to get better unless he rests," Swiftstorm couldn't help but point out, though he was sure that information was rather obvious at this point. But there was little he could do about it right now, if Oysterfur had snuck, then all they could do was hope that he was not alone out there just in case something happened. But his attention turned back to Sandstar and he gave a respectful nod of his head. "I am fine," he told her with a small twitch of his tail, "But I shall take my leave all the same." And he did, offering one last glance towards Acornfur before turning and trotting towards the medicine cat den just to see if Oysterfur was around.
Nightpaw's ears twitched a little at Carpegaze's words, amusement shining a little in his young eyes. "Still better than fishing, in my opinion," he couldn't help but point out, making sure to keep his voice down just because he didn't want to hear an earful from Bristlestorm about how that was the wrong thing to say or something. But the warrior was right, this had been long and boring and nothing really had come from it besides the fact they knew there was probably a hawk roaming the area.
