Pale Streak quickly shook his head and pressed against Snow Stripe more. "No, I'm Snow Stripe's mate, Pale Streak." He smiled before speaking again. "Your name is Echo... right? And the tom is Ember?"

"That's right," Echo agreed, though she kept her eyes glued to Snow Stripe. "Ember was hoping to join your group... and I'd like to as well. I was close to Julie and... Snow Stripe is the closest thing I have to her." She blinked before looking over at Pale Streak. "We were close friends."

Snow Stripe eyed the tabby curiously, but in all honesty she was just growing uncomfortable. She still had no clue who Echo was, and no clue as to how she knew her mother. She looked over at Pale Streak and murmured, "Let's take them to the cavern. We have to check on the kits anyways... and this." She looked down at the gash on her leg, which had thankfully stopped bleeding.

Pale Streak nodded silently before clearing his throat. "I don't doubt you were. You're welcome to join, both of you. We were just heading back to the cavern actually, I need to get some cobwebs soon though for Snow Stripe." He flicked his ears toward his mate.

Echo looked at Snow Stripe again, her eyes widening in worry. Cobwebs? Was that for injuries? Is she injured? What happened? Her eyes darted to the injury on Snow Stripe's leg, and she stepped towards the cat worriedly. "How did that happen?" she inquired, her fur bristling slightly. "Was it a dog? I saw a dog running away from here." She took another step forward, wanting to offer comfort, but fell still as Snow Stripe shifted uncomfortably backwards.

"It was a dog," Snow Stripe confirmed, tucking her tail against her back legs. She certainly didn't like the attention that Echo was giving her, but she tried not to show it. She just smiled and turned, awkwardly tottering into the hole and hissing as her injured leg grazed the ground. Quickly limping into the blackness, she angled her ears backwards to listen as the others followed.

Pale Streak followed behind his mate closely, ready to help her if she fell. When they reached the cavern he looked around, taking account of where the kits were. Hare could be heard still steadily digging while Bristle and Fang were batting a ball of moss to each other. "Okay, let's clean up that wound."

Snow Stripe followed Pale Streak, ignoring the presence of Echo hovering behind her.

Pale Streak led her to the pool in the center before wetting some of the extra moss and beginning to clean the dried blood from the wound. "Echo, if you wanna help, then can you go get some cobwebs? Please?"

Echo nodded, turning and prancing through the cavern. Lifting her muzzle to inspect every dark corner of the cave, she eventually found a swathe of cobwebs. Reaching up with one black paw, she expertly flicked a few off before limping back over, tucking her cobweb-bound paw to her chest. "Here," she said, handing them towards Pale Streak.

Pale Streak finished cleaning the wound and grabbed the cobwebs from Echo. After wrapping Snow Stripe's leg in them he stood back. "There! Now we just wait for it to heal. If worst comes worst we can go ask Snake Fang for some herbs." He smiled then turned to Echo and Ember. "Okay, are you two sharing a nest? Or do you want seperate nests? If separate then same den or different dens?:

Echo curled her tail a little and said simply, "I'm used to sleeping alone." Her eyes strayed towards Snow Stripe, and for a brief moment she wondered if she should offer to sleep next to the other cat. After all, she did have an injury. Yet Echo kept her jaws resolutely shut on the matter.

Snow Stripe reached down to sniff at her leg, relaxing a little. "Thank you," she said quietly, leaning over to lick Pale Streak's cheek and twine her tail with his. "It already feels better."

Ember jumped up and down. "I can dig my own den! I love digging! Actually, I know how to navigate through all of the rabbit burrows on the moor." His eyes were beaming.

{I'll just post a starter for whomever wants to take it. } Howling Wolf was sunning himself in the sun in the clearing outside the cavern entrance that led to Pale Streak's camp. He heard voices and tried to ignore them, not wanting to get into any kind of argument. He twitched an ear as a fly landed on it. He felt a shadow fall on him and he opened one eye slightly, not giving away that he was awake, to see who it was.

Echo glanced sideways at Ember, flicking the tip of her tail. "Of course you would, you're like a rabbit," she commented to the ginger tom, curling her tail in amusement. Turning back to Snow Stripe for the millionth time, she went over to the tricolored cat and commented, "You should rest that leg. Come over here and we'll get you a nice nest."

Snow Stripe stared at Echo, flattening her ears again. She knew that Echo meant well, but it was starting to annoy her with how... obsessive the tabby was growing. Deciding not to mention it, she just smiled and followed her, giving Pale Streak a "help me" glance as Echo settled her in a nest. The silver tabby sat down beside her, almost like a guard.

Pale Streak rushed over to the den that Hare was still digging. When he entered it his eyes went wide. The den was big enough to hold at least for cats and even had clefts in the walls to hold stuff plus shallow hollows o place dens in. Hare was sitting in the center licking dirt from her claws like it was a regular thing. "Hare... wow. You are quite the digger for being so small. I'll be right back." He raced out of the den, grabbed some of the extra moss, and raced back. After setting up a nice, fluffy nest n the right corner he padded out to where Snow Stripe was. "Echo, I'll watch her. How about you go hunt? Everyone must be hungry. I believe Howling Wolf is sunning himself by the hole that leads down here. He can go with you if you like." The pale tabby tom then helped his mate get up and led her to the newly finished den.

Echo hesitated, pacing from side to side with her tail flicking worriedly. I can always check on her afterwards, she decided, turning and prancing down the tunnel entrance into the sunshine beyond. She paused as she came upon another cat. Tilting her head, she walked over and asked, "Are you Howling Wolf?"

"Depends who's asking." Howling Wolf replied gruffly as he caught glance of a pelt he didn't recognize. "Who are you?" He turned the question on the other cat.

Snow Stripe followed Pale Streak to the new den, gazing around curiously. "Wow," she breathed, her tail curling in excitement. Looking over at Pale Streak, she snorted in amusement and said, "Thanks for helping me back there." She looked down worriedly. "I didn't want to be mean but... stars above, I just hate being the center of attention. I don't even know her either, and she acts like I can't even be trusted to walk across the cavern without stubbing a toe."

Echo sat down, warily twitching the tip of her tail. "My name's Echo," she replied with a slight edge to her voice. "Snow Stripe is my best friends daughter; I joined because of her. Pale Streak asked me to go hunting, and I was wondering if you'd like to come with." After a moments thought she added, "Two pairs of paws catch more prey than just one."

Howling Wolf sighed and got to his paws. "Yes, I am Howling Wolf." He answered her question, now knowing if he had actually answered her. "You have a point that two sets of paws are better than one." He agreed, and gestured with her tail to take lead. "Please," He invited her. "Lead the way."

Echo nodded, passing him and leading the way onto the moor. Pausing at the crest of a hill, she lifted her nose and scented the air, perking her ears when she caught a trace of rabbit. Twitching her tail, she narrowed her eyes as she spotted a small, white bobtail hidden among the grasses. She angled her tail towards the rabbit, glancing at Howling Wolf.

Howling Wolf nodded and flicked his ears towards it before stalking to the left of he prey, gesturing for Echo to stalk to the right. He hoped that this cat would understand his signals as he got right next to the rabbit, staying down wind a few tail lengths away.

Echo studied Howling Wolf for a moment before slinking to the right. Crouching low so her light colored fur didn't show above the grass, she began to creep on the rabbit pawstep by pawstep. Feeling the wind blowing opposite from her, she hissed as she knew it would alert the prey. With a growl she sprang forward, startling the rabbit into running in Howling Wolf's direction.

Howling Wolf reacted quickly as the rabbit sprang towards him, pouncing on it and biting it's neck to kill it quickly. "You did well." He meowed gruffly, acknowledging her help in catching the rabbit. "I'm glad you understood what I wanted you to do. Perhaps I was wrong about you." He meowed mysteriously. He spotted another rabbit up wind of them. "Think you can get this one on your own?" He challenged.

Echo flicked her tail at his comment, simply glancing over and saying, "I've lived on my own long enough to figure out how to catch my own prey." Following his gaze, she spotted another rabbit. Scenting the air, she began to slink downwind of the creature, keeping low so her fur didn't show above the grass. Once she was close enough, she pushed off with a tremendous leap and landed hardly an inch from the rabbit. The creature jumped back in surprise, but didn't have enough time to run before she had lashed out with a paw, breaking its neck easily.
