Rolling his eyes, he wished his mates words could give him confidence but was beginning to doubt that anything would be able to. He shook his head with a sigh, "I'm less certain of that," he replied with a chuckle. Resting his long dark tail across the large swell of her stomach, grinning a little at the feeling of her unborn kits moving beneath his touch. Affection brightening his gaze a little.

DustyPool opened her eyes and gazed at her mate. "Why do you say that?" Her eyes were filled with confusion at his statement. She knew he would be a wonderful father. He had lots to teach his kits and she knew that he held as much love for them as he did her. GreyStorm would make a wonderful father.

For a moment he didn't reply, shifting in discomfort as he struggled to think of a way to answer which wouldn't cause her further worry in this important time. After a while, he let out a soft sigh of defeat. "I never really had a father," he had died when the young tom was only a kit, he hadn't much experience regarding that area, and was terrified of failing his own kits. "I only want to do the kits the best I can," he whispered.

DustyPool smiled at her mate and nuzzled his chin. "You may not have known your father but that doesn't account to how great of a father you will be That is only determined by the cat you are today." She smiled and purred. "GreyStorm, the cat you are today is brave, loyal, and kind. You have been the best mate and I know that our kits will be proud to have you as their father."

Chuckling at her attempt at reassurance, whilst it didn't instil too much confidence in the handsome tom, he was appreciative of the effort she took to do it. Greystorm licked the shecat between the ears with a gentle sigh, "I love you, Dustypool," he told her with a grin. Resting his large head on the ground beside her, pressing closer to the pretty shecat and a sigh slipping from his lips. "I appreciate the effort," he added.

DustyPool purred and smiled. "I love you too GreyStorm. I also meant every word I said." She then bent down and finished the vole in a few quick bites before laying down, resting her head on her paws and curling her body into GreyStorm's. His scent comforted her and she let out a deep breath before speaking again. "What do you plan to do today?"

(I'm sorry Squirrel, but my concerns have been concerned. I really want the deputy to be more literate [please dont take this as an insult, I'm uncertain of what other term to utilise] than what you've displayed. You're welcome to still remain a member, but may I give deputy to someone else?
Also, its a little difficult to continue this situation, shall we swap to Soaring and Fox again?)

Yes, that's fine. It's fine. You can change FoxFeather to a warrior))

FoxFeather nodded. "If you would like we can also go hunting. I know that it's good to get out of camp on clear days like this." She gestured to the sky as she spoke, the sunlight filtered down onto her white fur and caused her green eyes to shine. The sky was bright and the promise of a plentiful season hung all around, making FoxFeather happy for the clan. Soaringstar stood, stretching out her long legs and enjoying ridding them of their aching for a moment, she twitched her ears back to the warrior and nodded her head in agreement. She would enjoy getting out of camp and doing something active, her paws itched to do something useful for her beloved clan. For fear she might explode with energy if she didn't do something with the bounds of it which was quickly building up inside of her. "The weather seems like it will be quite lovely today, I'll accompany you," the leader said with a bright smile. Eager to get going, but knowing aforethought was quite probably a better idea than going recklessly into the territory. "Shall we try the Whispering Hills?" She offered, tilting her head to the side. Attempting to not give away how eager she was to get going.

FoxFeather stood as well, stretching one more time and yawning. "The Whispering Hills sounds like a good idea." She smiled at SoaringStar and gestured to the entrance of camp with her tail. "Would you like to lead the way?" As she spoke a breeze whistled by, ruffling the two cats fur.

Nodding, and not hesitating to think about their choices for a moment longer, the young warrior struck off and out from camp, slipping through the warriors den which played the role of their barrier as well as the den, and down the hill which held their home. Heading in the same direction in which the sun was rising, down the path which would lead them to the Whispering Hills. Her long tail tip twitching from side to side in a show of excitement to get working, and before much time had passed, they had reached their destination. Pausing to take a deep breath, and consider their surroundings she looked back to her clanmate. "Smell anything?" She asked, twitching her ears as she listened to the world around her.

FoxFeather followed close behind her leader, following her paw steps while staying alert for anything around them. It felt nice to be out of camp and the sun cast a golden glow on the land around them. When they reached Whispering Hills FoxFeather immediately parted her jaws and scented the air, hoping to catch the scent of prey. She shook her head sadly though, "At the moment, no."

Disappointed by this, her tail drooped but she refused to seem concerned by this and keep at least a somewhat positive outlook, especially in the presence of a clanmate. She hesitated, flaring her nostrils as she searched for any potential scents, partly distracted by the sounds of singing which echoed all around them, coming from the hills on every side. Soaringstar continued to look concerned, but perked up quickly when she caught something beneath the scents of everything else. Hare.
Crouching down, she paused. Waiting until she had spotted the small brown creature munching on the grass mere foxlengths away, mostly masked by the grass and dirt around it. The leader took off running as fast as her paws would take her, bounding along at to speed until she had reached the hare. It took off running at the sight of the cat intending to make it her dinner, took off running but it was too late. She returned carrying the now dead animal limp in her jaws, smiling at her victory. She dropped the prey and promptly burried it. "That's a little more hopeful," she laughed.

FoxFeather was spooked when her leader suddenly took off but then noticed what she was after and stood waiting for her return. As she was waiting she looked around and saw a raven land on a patch of tall grass a few badger lengths away. Her leader returned then and FoxFeather flicked her ears to the bird. "Good catch. I'm going to try and catch that raven."

Nodding in agreement, the pretty leader paused for a moment to search further for any scents which might have filled her with the hope of finding something further to feed her clan with. However, for the time being she seemed unable to find anything that would fill the bellies of her clanmates than what she had already caught. With a sigh she instead turned her attention to her clanmate, contenting herself with instead watching the younger shecat hunt. Admiring the shecat's care as she stalked, Soaringstar twitched her ears. Hopeful for further triumph, it wouldn't be long before the clan found themselves with more mouths to feed, and she wanted them to be well fed and energetic when the day arrived.

FoxFeather crouched down and slowly made her way toward the bird. She kept her ears perked, her tail still, and her senses alert in case of a change in the direction of the wind. She was a few tail lengths away when the bird noticed her and took off with a loud flapping of its wings. FoxFeather leaped into the air after it and caught it's wing, bringing it to the ground with her. She placed her paws across it, being careful of its claws, before biting it's neck swiftly and sitting up, proud of herself.

(Sorry for the poof)
Soaringstar smiled when she saw her clanmate bring down the raven, whilst it wasnt the most elegant take down she'd ever seen, the kill had been clean and it would feed their clan perfectly well. She called out, careful not to be too loud for fear the prey might overhear her and not be found as a result. "Good catch," she purred, her long black tail tip twitched from side to side as she spoke.

FoxFeather purred at the compliment and then padded over to a nearby bush with the prey in her jaws. After burying it she padded back to SoaringStar and looked around. "If we went further in we might be able to find a few more hares." She flicked her ears toward the hills as she spoke, her tail moving back and forth behind her.

Casting her eyes skyward for the second time that day, clouds had begun to gather overhead but it wasnt something she would have, in that moment, considered all that serious. Though they were slowly swelling with water, it would take sunhigh before they would let their waters loose on the ground bellow. For now, they could continue their hunt. "Lets," she agreed with a smile. Hopes lifted after a successful hunt, she lead the way deeper into the Whispering Hills, lacing around the foot of the hills with caution, keeping alert for the scents of further prey.

FoxFeather followed after her, keeping all senses alert for any signs of prey. The grass under paw and the open sky above soothed her and she soon felt in her element, excited at the prospect of stretching her legs in pursuit of a rabbit.

Following at a fast pace, her ears twitching with excitement as she went. She hesitated when she caught a scent, a further piece of prey but this time a rabbit. The young leader lunged in the direction of it, not pausing to take note of where she was and stumbling on a footfall before she had reached more than a couple of foxlengths. Whilst she stood upright again without any injury, the rabbit had spotted her all too easily and bounded off with little hope of catching up to it as it scurried back across the hills.

FoxFeather rushed over and helped SoaringStar to her paws again. She then watched the rabbit race off but turned back to her leader with a smile. "Don't worry about that one. We'll catch some others." She flicked her ears and smiled wider.

Grumbling and looking especially frustrated with her failure, the leader's red tail lashed left and right with frustration. Whipping the air in annoyance as she attempted to put weight back on the leg she'd tripped on, fortunately no pain caused from the action and she stood fully on it. Looking up with a low sigh, "I should have seen that hole from foxlengths away, it was a foolish mistake." She grumbled.

FoxFeather shook her head. "Everyone makes mistakes. You'll learn from it and become even better because of it." She then perked her ears and opened her jaws, catching a scent of rabbit. She then looked over and saw that the rabbit from earlier hadn't gone into a burrow, only ran to the next hill before stopping to nibble on grass again. "Why don't you try again?" She angled her ears toward the creature.

(Bump?) A little grumpy this time, the pretty leader lifted herself to her paws once again, long black tail lashing from side to side. This time determined for the sake of her own dignity to catch the rabbit the second time, Soaringstar lunged, her paws covering the distance with ease in spite her earlier tumble. She tackled the rabbit with everything she had, it was less than elegant but it was most certainly efficient as she snapped the rabbit's neck and returned to her clanmate with a chuckle. "At least I was able to maintain some dignity," she meowed with a chuckle. "Lets get back to camp," she meowed, turning in the direction of camp and making their way home.

FoxFeather purred and let out a small chuckle. "Yes, some of it has been kept." She then followed her leader as they turned in the direction of the camp. When they reached the area they had first caught prey at, FoxFeather broke off and retrieved her raven. With the bird in hand she once again joined her leader and followed her.

(sigh, I really hope we get more joiners )
Soon the pair had made their way back to camp, the sun had soon been hidden by clouds overhead and the weather had worsened seemingly. The young leader cast her gaze skywards, concern lighting her for a moment. She wondered if it was going to storm, it would be their first of the season and it concerned her. Looking to her clanmate, she meowed with a quiet voice. "I think we may want to find somewhere dry," she moewed with a chuckle.

Me too. Sorry for the late reply too))
FoxFeather perked her ears at her leader's words and nodded. "We should. Looks like a storm might be on the way." Her voice was muffled by the bird still in her jaws. As if to answer her a strong gust of wind swept by, buffeting her fur.
