Athena tilted her head, wondering why Maisie sounded so irritated. She hoped it wasn't her fault. It's not like she had chosen to be the League's pet project. Without any memories, she'd basically been helpless. She just thought they were being kind when they offered to train her. But if one thought about it, it was like they were checking to see just how dangerous she was, while at the same time making sure she was on their side. Batman already had a way to take her down, no doubt about it. She quickly realized Maisie had asked something else. "The patrol? It was alright...he just showed me around Bludhaven...Nightwing was really nice...He wanted to do it again sometime if he wasn't busy..." Maisie nodded to Athena, shrugging a little. "Sorry if I'm being annoying, I don't mean to interrogate you, it's just interesting to hear about," she said, giving her an apologetic look. "It's probably weird since it's just a normal day for you," she added with a laugh, shrugging a shoulder. "Do anything fun besides training? I know you don't get out much." She said, blinking over at her friend. She felt bad for her sometimes, having your mind completely scrambled would definitely be a horrible experience. On top of that, having been basically a science experiment for so long, she could understand why it was hard for her to adjust to life and such. She'd sort of secretly made it her mission to get her out as much as possible and used to public and Gotham and everything, so that eventually maybe it wouldn't be as strange for her. Mikayla didnt mind taking her time, because in a moment she'll be able to do what he can do: fly. So she made sarcastic comments and being funny as he jittered and acted as a child. Once she was by his side on the roof, she playfully gave him a soft shove, enough to make him jump but not fall off. "Alright," she said as she went to stand in the middle of the gravel roof, and she faced him for a moment. "It's kinda weird at first, but..." She faded off, shrugging slightly. Here goes, she thought as she fished her ring from her pocket. Slipping it on, she took a moment to breathe, then whispering an encouragement to herself. Once she was ready, and he was paying attention, she did the usual T pose, which instantly turned her suit on. No changing needed, her current clothes are basically hidden as she suit is put on by the ring -- once it's off and such, she goes back to her original outfit, back to normal. But for now, her fleshy-like glowing green suit covered her entirely, looking like a form-fitted suit than anything. It let off a slight green aura (would be glowing at night) around her. Her brown eyes turn to a stark glowy white, surrounded by a green domino mask. Her hair was still put into the high ponytail, and it was weightless in the green aura. Once the suit was on, she was picked up from the ground, hovering slightly from the roof. This all happened in a matter of ten or so seconds as she turned things on, and once it was over, she hovered slightly and glanced at Koa for a moment, biting her lip. "So...yeah," she said, gesturing to herself. Koa snorted a little when she pushed him, exaggerating her shove so that he stumbled back to the edge of the roof. He ended up just standing half on and half off the roof, moving forward towards her only when she seemed about to put on her suit. He sat down just before she got into the T shape, crossing his legs like a kindergartner. When she did change, it was like nothing he had ever seen. It happened so fast - one second she was in her normal clothes, the next in this crazy green glowing suit. When she spoke, just a moment after the whole glowey suit transformation, his only response was his eyebrows raising and a blink. "Uh, well," he mumbled, running a hand through his hair. "That was a lot of suit changing to cram into, like, two seconds, I already want to see it again," he says, blinking, his hand running through his hair making it more wild. He hopped to his feet, and then into the air, flying over and poking her arm to feel the suit. "Coooolll," he grinned, his glowing eyes making him look especially excited. "Although, I don't know how much I should be flying around, I don't have a magic costume that appears in a few seconds when I put on some glowey ring, and it's probably not a good idea to fly around in this," he laughs, gesturing to his jeans and sweatshirt. Chester had to crack a grin at this question. His name was a play on his dad's, but nobody knew that. "Well pretty sure a lot of heroes are named after some kind of animal. My cover name's Crow," he informed him. "So what does your friend look like? I might've seen him somewh-" he was cut off by a phone ringing. Thought I turned that thing off! He thought angrily to himself, "Hang on," he mumbled, digging around in his pocket for it. It was an old track phone, an inexpensive one that he kept on him to call the cops, or his dad to give an excuse for where he was. And, as he's expected, it was his dad. He took a deep breath, answering it. "Hello?" He said in the most casual voice he could muster up. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FIVE MINUTES AGO!" Boomed a very much audible Penguin. "Sorry, got sidetracked. I'm heading there now, bye," he responded before closing the ancient phone. "Sorry, I've got somewhere to be.." Was his only explanation, Penguin's voice would have been very audible, and probably easy to identify. This guy better not have super hearing, or else I'm dead..Anthony was about to give a vague description of his brother - red skull mask, arrows, and a large array of poisons - when the guy's phone rang. He had a phone, an incredibly old one, too. What could he possibly use that for? If you were going to bother with having a phone (especially if you were an organized vigilante who was probably making the occasional call to the police) it was probably a good idea to get a good one. He was holding back a snort until he heard a loud - extremely familiar - voice shouting on the line. It took him two more seconds to figure out who the voice belonged to, and then a moment to decide his plan of action. By the time the guy was done speaking, his arrow was already pointed at his chest. "Going so soon? I'm sure a vigilante like you could make Penguin wait a few minutes," he practically spat, his lip curled. This guy disgusted him - acting like he was a good guy, a hero, when he was really some scum making deals with Penguin. "Or is he a priority?"

Chester had just flipped the phone shut, stowing it back into his pocket as he turned to face Anthony, "Sorry about that, uh.. Just a call from Detective Miles, he just ran some- Okay then," he looked up, seeing the bow leveled with his chest. "Okay, what'd you hear?" He grumbled. "Because I'm supposed to be somewhere five minutes ago.." Super hearing or not, his dad must've been loud enough for this guy to hear, and that would probably cost Chester his identity.. Unless.. Still got that throwing knife, could toss that once he fires? No, not fast enough.. Upon the name Penguin he sighed, "I'm undercover, he has no idea who I am in costume, okay? It's nothing but a way to get him in prison," he lied, although he doubted this would work, Robin Hood over here was pretty observant, he'd figure him out in no time.. He'd have to find an opening.

Athena shook her head, smiling at her softly. "You're not annoying at all...I guess I'm just use to it since it's basically all I've known..." She then shrugged slightly. "Not really...mostly just studying...things have changed so much...at least, I think that have...I guess it's just weird having to learn everything...sometimes again..." She rubbed her arm a bit. "It's kind of scary the stuff I already knew, just forgot...like, I remember the names and powers of all the heroes in the Justice League except a couple of the new members...and...I even know some of the kids and stuff...I know aliases..." She shook her head. "I know things that I shouldn't, and I don't know things that I should...it's all very strange..."

Mikayla bit on her lip as Koa came over, even poking her arm. "It only takes a few seconds to change," she replied, glancing at him for a moment. "It's kinda a nice perk since it takes all you other guys at least ten or so minutes to get dressed into costume. I'm not even factoring the time it'd take for you to fix your hair," she snickered in a tease. She casually crossed her arms across her chest, not so much as casually but in a modest way; sure she was in her suit, but the suit was quite literally a stronger version of her skin. It didn't show any particular areas in detail, acting like a formfitting suit, but, she still blushed slightly. She almost felt a little self conscious, which was weird since she never really felt like this. But he seemed fascinated by it, so she didn't take the ring off and changed yet. She pressed her lips together to hide a growing smirk of a smile as he gestured to his own outfit. "Ah, yeah, well," she thought, rubbing a finger against her attached mask by her changed glowy white eyes. "I can just change back? Or, if you want, maybe get in your suit or something?" She continued, chewing on her bottom lip. She wouldn't mind flying around -- she'd taken the day off from duties to relax at the beach -- but it could be cool to hang around with Koa. She gently lowered herself so she stood idly on the roof, so she wasn't just floating around.

Anthony narrowed his eyes at the guys explanation, the arrow unmoving from his chest. If he so much as moved that arrow even for a moment away from this guy, there a was a huge chance he would take the chance and either flee or attack. He didn't seem like most heroes he'd met, and he debated why. His knowledge of the system and connections were obviously limited, due to the fact that he'd been asking him about the Justice League. Anthony knew his Justice League members, and he knew the allies of the league, and this guy obviously wasn't one. They must know about him, though, or at least the bat probably did - but that was only assuming he was a hero. The more he thought about it, the more he doubted this guy was a hero at all, or maybe just a sloppy one. The guy had been completely out in the open before he had come over, leaning over the roof for anyone to see. Judging from that, he was either an idiot, or low on enimies. Which could mean a variety of things he supposed, a low lying villain, a low lying hero, a random neutral. Heck, maybe he was some guy who liked to pretend to be a hero and prance along rooftops for fun. But that brought him back to the beginning - the guy had been on the phone with Penguin. The fact that he had attempted to cover it up, too, was suspicious. A guy, who obviously acted like he had few enimies - was working undercover with Penguin? It just didn't make much sense. Maybe you could blame it on him being a rookie or something - since a few things pointed to that - but it was unlikely for a rookie to get close to Penguin, the guy was smart. He didn't just let anyone in his personal circle - years of devotion got you that spot. In the end, the story just really didn't add up, even going at it from a few more angles. "Unlikely. And even if you did somehow manage that, it would be a waste of time and you know it. That guy doesn't just give out invitations to infiltrate him, you know. I've checked. His workers are handpicked. Meetings are near impossible. Your story doesn't add up, not at all. And if I take you out now, and get that phone, Peguin has one less worker and on top of it I have a phone laced with stuff on him." He finsihes, still not shooting, however. The only thing that didn't quite make sense - why would Peguin want a villain/hero type guy? The only reason he would ever need someone like that is for an assassination, which is obviously not what this guy did, judging from his arsenal.
Maisie nodded in understanding to her friend, patting her on the shoulder lifghtly and hoping it didn't bother her. She seemed to be a little sensitive to touch - in public at least. "I understand what you mean - in a weird way. This thing," she says, gesturing to the scarab, "knows way more than I do. So it's sort of like, I'll know things I shouldn't, but I myself won't know them, I'll just be repeating whatever it says. It's sort of weird. Useful, but weird." She shrugs, looking over at Athena. "And I mean, with you, I don't know how much help I'd be, but if there's anything you need help learning, I'm always here."
Koa snorted at her comment, shaking his head. "This," he says, gesturing to his wild hair that's sticking up everywhere to the point where it looks even more like flames. "Cannot be fixed. It has it's own mind," he laughed with a grin, his face lighting up a bit. He didn't notice much about her suit in a revealing type way, honestly it was barely revealing compared to the norm on his planet. Honestly, it really wasn't a good idea for any teenagers to be visiting his planet, it really just wouldn't end well. At first when she crossed her arms, he figured it was just a normal body language type thing. It was a moment later that he realized that she was covering herself, and he covered his mouth and nose quickly to hold back a snort. It just took him off guard, really. And then, it wasn't helping him forget all the past thoughts that she had managed to put in his head, and he blushed just slightly, letting out a very loud sigh. When she finally seemed to speak again, he latched onto the conversation quickly, his eyes just maybe a little focused on her face. "Yeah, I think I'll get in my suit, I'm really in the mood for flying now," he laughs, blinking at her for a moment. He turned away from her then, going over to the side of the roof. He glanced at the fire escape and snorted, just jumping straight off the roof. He looked over at her, suddenly realizing how awkward the situation now was. It wasn't probably nice to just randomly leave her here, which means he'd have to bring her into his apartment, which would probably be a healthy dose of awkward. Oh well, he'd probably just have to be more sarcastic and crack more jokes than usual is all. Awkward situations were really rare with Koa, as he was rarely awkward. "Well, you can either change back into normal clothes for a minute and stop by my apartment for a second, or just wait on my roof in that, your choice," he says with a shrug, starting his short walk in the direction towards his house again before turning around one last time. "Ooh, yeah, I will warn you, though, there's some green lantern freaks on the top floor, and not the kid kind," he laughed, giving her a wink before continuing forward. He did wish he could fly, it would make this trip easier, and than also unnecessary.

The only reason he would ever need someone like that is for an assassination, which is obviously not what this guy did, judging from his arsenal. Chester knew his story wouldn't check out, there wasn't a single chance. For starters, he knew better than anybody who Penguin had on his staff team and why, and if he wasn't related to him he'd probably get assigned coffee or something else that was stupid. The real reason he was called was for a dinner party he forgot about. The guest list consisted of crime bosses and other scumbags who got rich off of thievery and lies. Chester had to go, it was his big chance to be noticed by the League. His father wanted him to go just because some of the big people were asking for him, so he knew very well this would be his only chance at going to one of these. But then, he got an idea. "Okay, you got me," he began, "I'm not in with him.. But I know where he is, and if you wanted to.. Oh, I don't know. Apprehend him and several other criminals? You could follow me." He probably wouldn't believe this claim, especially because of his status. Giving him his identity would likely be a poor choice, given that this guy was a freelancer. But, his options were limited; and he couldn't just skip this, costumed or not. "You can put a tracker on me, or keep the arrow trained on my chest. But you won't get this option again, and hey. Your brother might be there." This lie might convince him, the guy sounded like he really wanted to find his brother. Wait, what if he is there? Chester thought, they might want protection in case something like this happens, so it wouldn't be too far fetched his brother or some other guy is there..[ Study hall is a blessing ]

He did wish he could fly, it would make this trip easier, and than also unnecessary. Mikayla idly stood off to the side, careful not to be too obvious by her slight discomfort by this. She wasn't awkward by any means, nor is her suit revealing or anything -- she just knew that her suit wasn't one of spandex nor armor, but made of some flesh-like material. It was basically her skin, but it wasn't, and it didn't show anything in detail or anything. She was always in her suit with the other Lanterns or her Justice League friends, but she was trying not to blush too much around Koa while in-suit. It was kind of weird, actually. When he mentioned that he was in the mood of flying, she relaxed slightly; she loved to fly, honestly. She liked to fly around in the air, occasionally up in space, travel around to other realms and planets and systems because she simply can -- and because she has a small duty to protect everyone and not just earth. And she knew Koa and his family weren't from Earth herself, so perhaps they could just spend all day up in space or something. The idea was suddenly what made her blush pink, and she turned to face the city before he noticed. When he was speaking again, she sighed and slipped her ring off, and in the few seconds of doing so, she was back in her beach attire. Following him down to the road again, she glanced over. "I think I'll manage a few Lanterns," she smirked slightly, tucking her ring back in her pocket.

Athena did jump slightly when Maisie patted her shoulder, but she relaxed rather quickly. Even in public she was much more comfortable when she was with someone she trusted. "Well...I suppose that's kind of like me...just slightly different..." She sighed softly. "Past me knows it, which means I know it, but I don't want to know it...at least with some things..." She turned to smile at her friend. "Thanks...honestly I would just like to learn some social norms so I'm not so awkward...I literally know nothing...I only know how to fight..." She'd been discussing it with the Bat family, and with what she'd remembered, they'd come to the conclusion that was meant to be an assassin, or a mole. Nothing good by any means.
