(Alright, Berrytooth, Goldenblossom, and Sparrowheart on a border patrol)
Sparrowheart waited beside the exit of camp, eyes closed. She sat upright, with her tail neatly over her paws, but felt so sleepy. Actually, even with her eyes closed, she resembled her sister immensely in this pose. The sunhigh patrol was going to be led by her for the first time in possibly forever, and she needed to be completely alert.

BerryTooth yawned widely as she padded out of the warriors den. That nap had done her wonders and now she stretched till her back gave a delightful pop and she shook out her legs. Looking around she spotted SparrowHeart who was leading the sun high patrol with GoldenBlossom and her following. "Hello SparrowHeart. How are you?"

The she-cat slowly opened her eyes and let them focus on Berrytooth. Was she just now emerging from the warriors den or had she been out earlier? Well, that wasn't Sparrowheart's place to judge, she wasn't like Viperstar. Not at all. "Hello Berrytooth. Excited to patrol, honestly."

Goldenblossom sat next to the two felines with her paws tucked under her body and her eyes closed. Even pressing herself down onto the dirt, she knew she had to look massive. She was still about half as tall as the other two sitting down. The she-cat's ear twitched when Berrytooth spoke. Her eyes slowly blinked open now that the last member of the patrol had arrived. Now they could leave. Goldenblossom stood up and arched her back in a lazy stretch.

BerryTooth nodded thoughtfully. "I went out hunting earlier so a patrol is good for a change." She then looked around. "Shall we go?"

"Yes." Sparrowheart said with a slightly awkward nod. She definitely wasn't used to leading anything. It meant making decisions, and not screwing up. Just then, it occurred to the she-cat that she hadn't been told where they were patrolling today. Did that mean... she chooses? "We're going to the southside border today." That made sense to her. It was one of the farthest borders and least patrolled because of its terrain.

Sparrowheart took to her feet and wheeled out of camp at a steady trot. Being unsure of herself, she kept looking behind her to make sure the small patrol was still following her. It was quite a walk to the south and they'd be covering a lot of ground.

BerryTooth padded after the other, taking position on her left side. The trees rustling overhead as they moved sounded delightful in the she-cat's ears and soon she had settled into a comfortable pace.

Goldenblossom nodded. The choice was a good one. No doubt, the clan's scents were faded to almost nothing. Though she wasn't too fond of that region of the territory. It was so muddy and her fur always ended up in hairy, mud clumps. She could already taste-the patrol was leaving. The large cat bounded after the other two she-cats. The patrol was quiet, which was nice. She didn't know how the other felt. She felt an awkwardness hanging in the air. "Have you heard Coldfire will have kittens soon?" She said to the air.

Sparrowheart's whiskers twitched, continuing to walk. "Indeed I have~" She purred. The clan could always use more kits. More kits meant more apprentices, which meant more warriors. Though there was something stagnant about being a warrior. You fed and protected the clan, but much of the time it was only the former. They were quite protected in the canyons with nothing much than the occasional cougar or fox to worry about. She'd need to take Ashpaw out for battle training soon to remain sharp.

Sparrowheart slowed her pace a tiny bit in thought. They were nearly there anyway. "Come to think of it, I haven't really seen her lately..." A feeling of dread hit her. Why were there so many cats in the clan going missing? First the deputy, then Morningflower, and now Mistypool?

Goldenblossom answered with her own purr. She made sure to lag behind so he others wouldn't have to look around her. Secretly, she also felt like she could protect the patrol better. She could see all around the patrol and scent the air as much as she wanted without cats looking at her oddly. "She probably just has been hunting all day or patrolling. Sometimes patrols just line up like that." Goldenblossom piped up, not wanting to discuss such sad topics.

"Maybe she..." Sparrowheart let her sentence trail off. The only suggestions she could give were rather sad. One that wasn't was her meeting a loner or something but that would make her basically dead to the clan anyway if Viperstar found out. "Oh. We're here. Time to spread out a bit. Scent mark, observe, all that jazz."
