(Since new people seem scarce, I'll probably throw some more cats on the joining form soon)
"Wh-wha? U-uh..." Snowpaw stammered, shrinking back and sniffing wildly. Anxiety weighed down the young tom's fur as he realized he couldn't recognize the scent as anything he'd smelled in camp before.
No cat could smell this bad... he ventured hesitantly, wrinkling his nose in response to the stench. In his mind, that left only one option.
"I-is it some kind of predator...?" Snowpaw mewed softly, not daring to guess which kind it could be.
Dewfrost neared the rabbit, hoping he could pounce on the oblivious prey before he was detected. Instead, it simply turned its head and saw the approaching warrior when he was a few tail-lengths away.
"Fox-dung! Get back here!" Dewfrost yowled as he gave chase to the fleeing rabbit, quickly catching up thanks to his long legs. However, one of his hind paws suddenly slipped. Before he could fall Dewfrost made a tremendous leap, landing awkwardly on his prey and sending them both rolling into a clump of ferns. After a few moments Dewfrost got up, his fur disorganized and covered in dirt, and holding the dead rabbit in his jaws.

(I'm not sure if Light will be on much today, she's spending time with her bf.) Dove let out a low hiss. "Aarowclan." She looked at her apprentice, noticing his fear and worry. "Don't worry, I'm sure they arent looking for a fight." Just as she finished, a big black and grey tom stepped forwards out of the ferns, his muscles rippling. "Hello there." The large tom mewed, a cynical smile showing on his face. "you can call me showblaze." The tom was abnormally large, and fierce looking. Dovespeck growled and stood in front of her apprentice, her tail lashing from side to side.
Sagepaw laughed as Dewfrost struggled with yet another catch. "Maybe Lightbringer could show you how to hunt too." His voice was all playful, and his eyes were light. "We could both use the practice it seems." The young apprentice waved his tail, trotting past the warrior in search of another kill. |

Splashfury lifted her head, a new voice pulling her out of sleep. "Hey Hawkwing!" She mewed, a yawn interrupting her. "Did you sleep good?" She asked, stretching her limbs.

Snowpaw kept a growl down in his throat as Shadowblaze appeared. Thistleblaze had told him all about the other clans, and what Snowpaw had heard from his father were not good things.
What's an AarowClan cat doing on our territory? his mind wandered, unsure whether the thought was laced more with outrage or curiosity. Noticing the gap between his and Shadowblaze's sizes, and expecting there to be more enemy cats nearby, Snowpaw hesitated to do anything until he saw how the confrontation played out.
Pinestalk opened his eyes and slowly got up, faintly hearing the voices of the other two awake cats. The reddish-brown tom decided to wait by the entrance and see if he could get on a patrol, but after a few steps his legs pricked with the familiar pain of aching joints. Irritation coursing through his mind, Pinestalk settled with lying down near Splashfury and Hawkwing, grooming himself as he listened to their conversation.

Splashfury yawned again, her mouth opening wide. "I slept alright, though I am not a fan of waking up early, maybe there is something to be done." She slightly dipped her head as Pinestalk sat down next to them. "How are you?"
She mewed, drawing a paw over her own ear.
Dovespeck flattened her ears and the large tom showed no sign of remorse for breaking the warrior code and crossing onto their territory. "Stop where you are." She growled, her claws sliding out to their full length. The large tom looked over the group of cats. One cat seemed smaller than the rest, and Shadow assumed that he was the apprentice of the group. "I just wanted a mouse... but a fight might be just as tasty..." The large tom crouched down and kept his eyes on the apprentice in front of him. He pounced on Dove, pinning her to the ground, a deep growl seeping from his mouth

"About as good as you can get at this age," Pinestalk replied, giving his fur a few licks. He liked getting up early to share tongues: seeing fresh blood heightened his spirits, and it gave him a chance to fully wake up before doing his now-grueling warrior duties that he was so fond of.
"It has been a bit dull lately," the senior warrior added, craving for some excitement, "but at least the other Clans seem to be respecting the borders for once."
Snowpaw paused for a moment in sheer shock as Shadowblaze tackled his mentor, the small apprentice's eyes widening. He thought it unthinkable that the AarowClan cat would walk right into their territory and attack them.
Attack! Attack! the primal part of his mind urged as he unsheathed his claws. Claw his ears off before he can even think about hurting Dovespeck!
Pure instincts removing any sense of fear or hesitation he had before, Snowpaw yowled and leaped at Shadowblaze, clumsily aiming his claws at the intruder's side.

Dovespeck raked the large toms belly with her claws, highly pleased when she saw blood falling. She noticed Snowpaw attacking the tom as well, her heart racing. She could not, would not let the tom hurt her apprentice. She shoved as hard as she could, sending the tom flying backwards, making him land on his side with a thud. Splashfury let out a light laugh. She knew the warrior was slightly older, but still refused to give up his warrior duties. She wondered how much long he could keep this up tho, cause if he were to get caught in a fight, he might not make it. She shook the thought from her mind, smiling at him. "Would you wanna do a quick border patrol? We're up, we may as well." She rose to her paws and stepped out of the warriors den, blinking in the bright sunlight.

Snowpaw leaped back as Dovespeck knocked Shadowblaze to the ground and ran towards his enemy, the white apprentice's adrenaline rush making him forget his own battle inexperience. Now only barely daunted by the larger cat's build, Snowpaw aimed his claws at Shadowblaze's shoulder this time, still lacking the precision of a warrior but clearly putting his heart into it now that it seemed his cats had the upper paw.
Keep attacking! Snowpaw urged himself, refusing to let himself hesitate again and making Dovespeck's alarm go unnoticed by him.
"Sure, let's go," Pinestalk agreed, slowly getting up and following the two younger warriors. Seeing the rare sunshine made his heart ache. Resisting the urge to bathe in the light, Pinestalk kept a straight face and let Splashfury lead the way out of camp.
Hopefully we don't find anyone, his mind wandered. Even though it was true he wasn't as strong as the other two in the patrol due to his age, Pinestalk still disliked seeing fighting in general after that fateful day on the GulchClan border.

Dovespeck jumped to her paws, the blood pounding in her ears. She lunged forward and sunk her teeth into the leg of the larger warrior, making him stand on his hind paws. Taking advantage of that position, she tackled the tom and began to rake his belly. Not long after that, the tom took off back into Aarowclan territory, taking only the cuts and bruises the Gulcgclan warriors gave him. She looked down at snow, her heart swelling. "you fought like a true warrior." She licked his ear. "Are you alright?" She mewed, looking the young apprentice over.
Splashfury dipped her head in respect to the elder warrior. She had been wanting to get out of the camp for a few days, hopefully they didn't run into any trouble. not meaning to be rude, Splash padded up to Pine. "How much longer do you think you will hold your warrior duties?" She asked, genuinely worried.

"Not even a scratch!" Snowpaw exclaimed, looking himself over too. The young cat finally let his fur lie flat (or as flat as it can be for him) as he watched his enemy disappear, his heart swelling with pride at the praise from his mentor.
Thistleblaze will be so proud! he thought excitedly. Seemingly the battle had actually made Snowpaw more cheerful than when he had first left. Glancing at Dovespeck, Snowpaw asked "Is that a usual thing those AarowClan cats do?"
"Never hunting or battling again and being at the mercy of the apprentices sounds terrifying," Pinestalk replied half-jokingly. After a heartbeat he added "But it can't be long now for me. Maybe sometime in the next few moons."
Or the next several seasons! his head exclaimed silently. All of his relatives were in StarClan, and passing on to meet them was the only way he could see himself leaving behind his duties to the Clan.

Hey hey! Sorry for my lack of inactivity. I will be on for a while today <33 Dove huffed, her fur lying flat as well. "Unfortunately, yes. Aarowclan is the most moody. they think they run the forest." Dove licked her apprentices shoulder. "I a very proud. Your father would be too." She purred, taking a deep breath. She was super relieved that they both made it out without any serious injuries. taking a deep breath, she shook herself. "would you wanna finish the patrol, or head back to camp?" She asked nicely.Splashfury let out a loud purr. She really looked up to Pine, he was always so determined and the way he served his clan with such vigor made Splashfury desire to do more. As they padded along the border, she noticed another patrol heading in their direction. "Hey there Dovespeck." Spalshfury mewed. She had seen the she-cat a few times at gatherings, and knew she would keep her distance. |

"We should keep going, the other borders might have-" Snowpaw started to respond, but while casually glancing around he saw the AbyssClan cats from afar. Startled, he shrieked "There's more!" and leaped a great distance backwards, landing awkwardly on his side in a clump of grass.
"I didn't know GulchClan had started to train birds as apprentices," Pinestalk snorted, holding back a purr as he watched Snowpaw's scared jump. Recognizing Dovespeck as well, he uttered a small "How's it been?" as he went to mark the borders.
Seeing that the newcomers were not invaders, Snowpaw got up and shook the dirt out of his fur, his pelt prickling with embarrassment.

Dove was surprised by Snowpaws reaction, and trying to hold back her laugh, she padded over to the apprentice. "It's alright Snow. I know these cats." She turned and faced the other cats. "hey guys. Things here have been raher good. A little slow, but that's alright." She mewed nicely, keeping her distance.
Splash let out a loud laugh, her tail sticking straight up in the air. "Who knew snow could fly." She joked along side of Pinestalk.

Snowpaw stared at his paws and licked his chest fur rapidly. "Hey, I was just startled for a second! You came out of nowhere!" he exclaimed, although the apprentice knew he probably could've easily scented the AbyssClan cats before spotting them.
"Sure we did, youngster," Pinestalk snorted. Sniffing the air around them, the senior warrior's pelt bristled as he added "I smell AarowClan. Have they been up to their usual border troubles?"
Spiritsong woke up and padded out of her den, her mind unusually blank. Watching Nightfrost look out of the nursery, the medicine cat remembered that the AarowClan queen's kits were due very soon. Yawning, Spiritsong went back to make sure that she had the herbs for the kitting prepared.

Dove paused and looked back at Snowpaw. "Ya know, now that I think of it, can you tell the difference between Abyssclan cats and Aarowclan cats?" she tried to use this as a learning opportunity for her young apprentice. Haring Pinestalk she flattened her ears. "the Aarowclan cats have somehow managed to think that Gulchclan is their property, and can just walk over here. So we got in a little border fight earlier." She let out a low growl, thinking of the arrogant cat.
Splashfury wrinkled her nose in disgust as the acrid scent of Aarowclan entered her nose. "Starclan have mercy." She hissed, flattening her ears a Dovespecks story. "they have no morals it seems." She lashed her tail, shaking her head.
Shadowblaze limped back into camp, his stomach dripping blood as he made his way in. His ears flattened as he saw his mate scanning the camp. he was to come back with prey, yet he had failed, again. "Night." He dipped his head, licking her ear.

Shadow felt his fur grow hot at his mates words. He was highly disappointed in himself for coming back without fresh kill and more scars to add to his collection. "Yes dear." He sighed, trudging over to the medicine cats den. "Hey." He mewed quietly, sticking his head in the med cats den. |
