A yowl startles you out of a deep, comfortable sleep. You explode from your den, fur standing on end, claws unsheathed, and ready for anything. The scene before you is...one you've actually become accustomed to. A few other cats, woken form their slumber by the ruckus as well, are settled about the camp; all looking as tired and frazzled as you felt. Darkstripe bounced around the clearing excitedly, mewing loudly about something his kits had done; their first steps maybe? You were too drowsy to comprehend his loud, animated rambling. You relax and sigh in a mixture of annoyance and relief and cast one last look around the clearing before heading back inside the den; Russetstep appeared as passive as ever, Timberstar (like many others) looked ready to rip Darkstripe's ears off, and Blueberry was trying her best to get her mate under control. Yup, just another day in Lionclan. This is a 4-clan rp very loosely based on the Hogwarts houses. The name of the clans have been slightly altered to resemble actual clan names and the characteristics of the clan will also be based on their respective house. β£ Basic forum rules of course apply of course.β£ No god-modding or power-playing. Ask permission before killing off someone's character as well.β£ No perfect characters. Everyone has their flaws and yada yada yada.β£ Be as realistic as possible; no cats with unusual eye colors, odd fur, or weird names (like Diamondstorm, Opaldust, etc.)β£ The words Moon and Star cannot be used as prefixes or suffixes of any cat's name (except for the leader when it comes to Star of course).β£ Please don't join with a crush or mate right away (unless you're rping them), let relationships develop naturally. This keeps things realistic (and also allows in some drama and minor plots).β£ BE. ACTIVE. PLEASE. I understand if you get busy, everyone has a life and I get that, but if you're not going to be on for more than 2 days please let me know. Don't just join, rp for a few days, and then not come back.β£ Speaking of activity, if you are inactive for an entire week without notifying me or without a legitimate excuse, your character will be killed off. You can rejoin if you wish but only as an apprentice, elder, or kit and you will not be part of any plots whatsoever for a certain period of time.β£ Please understand that your character could very well be killed off at some point. Everyday, I will use a random generator to decide if any events will happen. These events could range from something small, like unsuccessful hunting during the day, to major things, like conflicts between clans or an attack from a predator, or even nothing at all. During some of the bigger events (fights or natural disasters) I will also use a random generator to decide who's character (out of the members active at that time) will die. If your character is chosen and you don't wish for them to die or you want them to die in a certain way, let me know.β£ If you have any ideas for major plots, don't be afraid to let me know and can talk about it privately. If you have an idea for any minor plots (something that would only affect your character and one or two others) please discuss it privately with them and then get my approval before going through with it.β£ No spamming! No advertising! No trolling! The only kit-stealing that is allowed to happen is between the four clans and with my permission.β£ When chatting be respectful, no bullying, no rudeness, and please use (), [], or {}.β£ Please don't join as an abandoned kit.β£ This is a semi-literate rp. Please use correct grammar and be as descriptive as possible. Replies should at least 5 sentences long and no replies that are just dialogue.β£ No time-skips without my permission.β£ Of course, please have fun! β£Badgerclanβ£Adderclanβ£Ravenclanβ£Lion-Adder borderβ£Lion-Badger borderβ£Tree Hollow (gathering place) β£Star Treeβ£Create-A-Cat Joining FormNameβRankβAgeβGenderFor your character's physical appearance, you can use the Create-A-Cat link above (in the section labeled links) and insert that here or you can describe your cat's appearance and I will try to create it to the best of my ability. 03/29/2018 - 11:43 pm Lionclan officially opens! "Beware the Darkness that lies within." Cherryspots received a dream from her mate, the late Jaggedstar. In her dream, her and Jaggedstar are sitting on a cliff on one of the many mountains that overlook the territory the clans call home. The sun is shining brightly down over the forest and Cherryspots admires the view until she notices a darkness that starts to spread out over Lionclan's territory, as if a cloud was beginning to block the sun, but there were a few things off about it. Firstly, she noticed that this darkness, this shadow, seemed to be manifesting from the heart of Lionclan's territory. The second thing she noticed was that there were no clouds in the sky. The last thing she heard before waking up was Jaggedstar's voice, relaying a haunting prophecy.

Star Trees - A cluster of elm trees with a star-fruit tree in the center. This is where cats of all the clans go to meet with Starclan, where apprentices go before becoming warriors, and where the Medicine-cats and their apprentices meet every half-moon. To communicate with Starclan, one must eat from the fruit of the tree before resting beneath it's roots.Rabbit Hill - A somewhat steep, rocky hill littered with rabbit dens. Apprentices or small cats can easily slip into some of the dens and catch a few rabbits.Owl Tree - An Acorn tree which houses a family of owls from new-leaf to the end of green-leaf. Training Grounds - A clearing within a cluster of elm trees. The Falls - A waterfall.Camp - Lionclan's camp somewhat looks like Thunderclan's lake camp; It's in a hollow enclosed by tall dirt cliffs. Cats are advised to watch their step as falling into the hollow from above can be fatal. The main entrance is through a cave; wide enough for two cats two squeeze through and tall enough for a large cat to walk through if they lower their ears. Upon entering the camp, there is a pile of rocks that act as stairs that allows one to descend down them into the camp clearing. Most of the dens consist of caves and crevices in the dirt wall. The Nursery, Elders' den, and Medicine Cat's den are caves in the wall, hidden by thick tendrils of bramble and are the farthest dens from the entrance. The Apprentices' den is under a thick bramble bush reinforced with thick roots and woven together for protection. The Warriors' den is in a dip in the ground under a big thorn bush, closest to the entrance. The Leader's den is also in a dip in the ground, between a large rock and the dirt wall; hidden by a thin curtain of brambles. The camp itself is very small, the dens located somewhat close together, due to the small pond within it which is fed by a small waterfall that runs just over top of the entrance. A tall, flat rock in the middle of the camp's pond, called the Pond Rock, is used by the leader to call meetings. L E A D E R Timberstar β
7 Seasons old When one wonders what makes a good Lionclan cat, Timberstar is usually the first cat that comes to mind (at least in Lionclan, anyway). Despite mostly being known as the living embodiment of recklessness, Timberstar is also famous for his brave and chivalrous nature; if there is ever a cat in need, Timberstar is sure to lend a paw. He's fiercely loyal to his clan and will do anything to do right by the cats he leads. However, he commonly has moments in which he is impulsive and bullheaded. If you couldn't tell by his appearance, Timberstar spends a lot of time in and out of the Medicine Cat's den. He received his first scar, the two scars on his left shoulder, his first day as an apprentice; fighting an owl (and he was very proud of it too). He's fairly close with Cherryspots. Excels in fighting and tracking, poor hunter. 5 lives
D E P U T Y asdfghjkl
M E D I C I N E - C A T Tatterdtail β
8 seasons old Heβs lanky, mostly leg with very little meat on his bone. Tatteredtail is modest, dutiful, and intelligent. However, he can be a little obsessive about cleaning his den and keeping his herbs where they belong. He also tends to be blunt. While you can appreciate the honesty, most cats do think that he could use a bit more honey to help the medicine go down. Since Tatteredtail was a kit, he was always looking to the clanβs Medicine Cat with curiosity. He was fascinated by the medicine cat den, the herbs within, the knowledge of healing sick and injured cats, and the deep connection with Starclan. He was overjoyed when the former Medicine Cat offered to train him, and heβs never been prouder than when he became a full Medicine Cat. Every cat in Lionclan knows Tatteredtail, and though few of them look forward to a trip to his den, they know heβll take good care of them. Only knows basic fighting moves, occasionally hunts to blow off steam. Very good at tracking.
W A R R I O R S Russetstep β
3 Seasons old Little is known about Russetstep among his clan-mates. He tends to keep to himself and prefers to have a small circle of cats with whom he communicates. His peers occasionally joke that Russetstep walks as though he carefully plans out every pawstep. While also being among the very few premeditative cats in Lionclan, Russetstep is also intelligent, quiet, patient, and laidback. Russetstep was adopted into Lionclan as a young loner. Darkstripe saved him after he nearly fell off a cliff at The Falls. The two toms have since developed an unspoken friendship and Russetstep can often be seen not too far away from his friend. Excels in tracking, decent hunter, poor fighter.
Darkstripe β
3 Seasons old Darkstripe is a very boisterous young tom. In fact, the day his kits were born he pranced about camp, yowling the arrival of his offspring (no, really, he really did this. It woke Timberstar up and he was mere seconds from clawing Darkstripe's ears off). As if his rambunctious nature wasn't enough, he's also adventurous, courageous, good-natured, and reckless. As a matter of fact, he got the scars across his nose by disturbing and owl's nest after being dared to climb the owl tree by Blueberry when they were apprentices. Darkstripe's parents were killed not too long after he became an apprentice. Sadly, after a rather nasty fall into camp, he doesn't remember much about them. Just before he became a warrior, he saved Russetstep from falling into The Falls. Since then the two toms have developed an unspoken friendship; mate is Blueberry, kits are Aspenkit, Daisykit, and Hollykit. Excels in fighting, poor hunter, decent fighter.
Mistyeyes β
3 Seasons old Other than the Create-a-Cat picture above, the only thing to note is that she is close to the size of a Maine Coon. Mistyeyes is insightful, responsible, and adaptable. However, she has a fair few flaws as well, also being prone to rotten moods and standoffish. Mistyeyes had a fairly normal life for a Lionclan warrior, growing from a kit to the warrior she is today. The only thing to note is that she was never very social, not even playing with the other kits when she was young. However, sheβs growing tired of feeling so alone and is hopeful to reach out to her clanmates more often.
Excels in fighting, decent-poor hunter (unless fishing β sheβs much better at fishing than hunting) Natural swimmer.
Stormfeather β
4 Seasons old Stormfeather is a calm, reserved kind of cat. She likes to focus on the task at hand, before moving on to another problem. She hates to see others in pain, and tries her best to be kind to others; if she's pushed enough, she can be snappy and rude. She has a short temper, oddly enough, but she tries to keep her comments to herself. There's not much history behind her, she's grown up into a fine warrior without much problem otherwise. She mentors Tigerpaw and is very proud of him (don't tell him that though!). Her temper is a weakness of sorts. Apprentice, Tigerpaw.
A P P R E N T I C E S Tigerpaw β
7 Moons old Tigerpaw is a trouble making, disobedient apprentice. He has a kind heart and tries his best to be mindful of others... he just won't listen that well. He gives his mentor, Stormfeather, quite the heart-ache trying to keep him in line. Tigerpaw's mother died of greencough, and he never knew who his father was. As a kit he snuck off to visit another clan, but he was found before he went too far. He's developed an unlikely friendship with his mentor, Stormfeather, despite her grim view of his behavior. Shows promise as a good warrior.
Q U E E N S Blueberry β
4 Seasons old Having been friends with Darkstripe since they were kits, Blueberry has become the mature one of the two. As his mate, she compliments Darkstripe's rowdy nature quite nicely. She allows him to still be adventurous but knows how to quickly get him under control when she thinks he's setting a bad example for their kits. Other than being a bit more mature than him, her personality is best described as a toned down version of Darkstripe's. She was close friends with Darkstripe when they were kits and the two have stayed close all throughout their life. Her constant presence in his life has helped Darkstripe mature, even if it's only a little bit. She also helps Darkstripe remember things about his parents. During her time as a queen, she developed an unexpected friendship with Cherryspots; mate is Darkstripe, kits are Hollykit, Daisykit, and Aspenkit. Excels in hunting, decent tracker, rusty fighting skills.
K I T S Hollykit β
5 Moons old
Aspenkit β
5 Moons old Aspenkit is a bit more mature than the average kit. He's still rambunctious, mischievous, and highly curious like the rest of his siblings; but he's the more mindful and rational of his litter; he doesn't mind playing harmless pranks on others but, if one of his sisters were to propose the idea of sneaking out of camp, he most likely would protest the suggestion.Daisykit β5 Moons old E L D E R S Cherryspots β
13 Seasons old Despite her old age, Cherryspots is very active for an elder. She still attends hunting patrols (usually against Timberstar's wishes) and can often be found wrestling with the kits. However, when it rains, her aching bones usually confine her to the camp and she can be found telling stories to the kits and apprentices. On occasions, Cherryspots also helps out the medicine cat if assistance is needed. Cherryspots has had a very typical life; she was a mischievous kit, and eager apprentice, and a determined warrior. She protested retiring for as long as she could but even as an elder she continues to be a helpful and active member of the clan. Cherryspots is close with Blueberry and Timberstar. Excels in hunting, decent tracking, decent fighting.

(Lol Imma just rp with myself)
Aspenkit stretched as he awoke, his paws pushing into his mother's side which, in turn, caused Blueberry to stir. The mother and son duo rose from their nest in the Nursery, stepping out into the camp clearing as they blinked sleep from their eyes. Aspenkit's attention was immediately drawn to the prey-pile, his mouth watering as he spotted a squirrel. He brushed briefly against his mother's legs before scampering off to the squirrel.
Blueberry purred at her son, watching him as he bolted toward food. She sighed in amusement, only five moons old and he was already so much like his father. As if summoned, the white and black-striped tom appeared; exiting the Warriors' Den.
Timberstar tossed and turned in his bed of moss, not quite wanting to wake up just yet. It was times like this in which he missed being a warrior; being able to lounge around all day, with the exception of a few patrols here and there.

I'm really sorry if I'm going to be a pain and be really annoying about this, but if I wanted to join I'd just post here with my character, right? I'm brand new to these forms and I'm still trying to understand and find my way around things. Don't worry though, I might be new to this form, but I've been role-playing warrior cats for a while on other sites, so it certainly won't be too much trouble to follow the rules you set out. If this is how it's all done, could I be able to play as Medicine Cat? If not, I completely understand and would still like to join. Oh, also, how many characters can we have?

I also encourage you to make as many characters as you are able to manage, only you know your limits, so if you want to make a lot of cats then be my guest, the more the merrier after all! sassypaws Of course!

Tigerpaw leaned forward, a mischievous grin painted on his face. He had managed to cleverly sneak into the warriors den to where his mentor's black and white fur rose and fell in even sleep. In his paws he held a ball of moss soaked in mouse bile, courtesy of the unsuspecting medicine cats den. Stretching the moss towards his mentors nose, he was almost ready to drop it beside her muzzle when the black cats head suddenly snapped up in surprise. Tigerpaw blinked in astonishment, dropping the moss ball right onto her face.
Stormfeather stared at the striped face of her apprentice. His blue eyes were widened in absolute horror, and for a brief moment she was confused. Why was he in the warriors den, and why did he look like he had just swallowed a rotten mouse? It was then that the rotten scent of mouse bile swept over her muzzle. Rearing back in astonishment, Stormfeather swiped the rotten thing off her muzzle and swung around to glare at her apprentice. "Tigerpaw!" she snapped in irritation, standing up on all fours and giving her sleek fur a shake. "What... why? Why would you do that?" She wrinkled her nose in disgust. The smell will stick to my fur for a moon!

(Adding them now!)
Russetstep groaned as he began to toss and turn in his moss-bed; a foul smell assaulting his nose. He slowly stirred out of his slumber, the scent seemed to grow stronger and, for some reason, he was reminded of his first moon in Lionclan. After he joined, he was assigned apprentice duties whilst learning the ways of the clan. One of his responsibilities included getting ticks off of the elders. Realizing now what the smell was, Russetstep growled softly. Who brings Mouse-Bile into the Warriors' den? He thought for a moment that maybe it was Darkstripe, his friend was always pulling pranks like this. But, as he woke, he realized the white and black tom was no where in sight. Then where... He narrowed his eyes as his gaze zeroed in on Tigerpaw. If it wasn't Darkstripe, of course the trouble-making apprentice was behind this. Deciding to leave before Stormfeather accidentally shook some Mouse-bile on him, Russetstep stretched and exited the den.
After munching down a plump mouse, Aspenkit started back toward his mother; stopping when he noticed his father now seated next to her with his back toward him. Feeling a tad bit mischievous, Aspenkit dropped into a sloppy crouch and crept toward the unsuspecting couple.
Blueberry purred happily, grooming her mate whilst Darkstripe talked animatedly; informing her with a namused mrrow that he had seen Tigerpaw sneaking toward the Warriors' den earlier with a particularly smelly ball of moss. Before the queen could respond, She caught sight of Aspenkit creeping toward them and snorted in amusement. Darkstripe, believing the amused response was directed toward him, laughed a bit.
"Do you think our kits will be like that when they're made apprentices?" Focusing her attention back on Darkstripe, Blueberry playfully swiped at his ears.
"If they take after you? They'll be Lionclan's worst nightmare."
"Hey!" Darkstripe exclaimed in mock offense.

Tatteredtail slowly stood up from his nest and shook away the moss that still clung to his fur. He stretched, digging his claws into the soft dirt at the bottom of his den. As he cleaned and laid down his fur that was still a bit messy after his restless sleep, he also looked around and kept track of how many herbs he had left. To be honest, things were still looking good and for that he was grateful. It was always worrying when his stores ran low. He thought about what he needed to do. With herb stores still full and no cats in need that he knew of, it was probably his best bet to check on Blueberry and her kits. Though they where old enough to be out of the worst danger - keeping good track of their health was important. He padded out of his den and over to the nursery, nodding his head to Blueberry and Darkstripe as he entered. He could also see Aspenkit slowly slinking up on Darkstripe. Doing his best to hold back a smile, he greeted the two cats, "Good Morning,"
Mistyeyes rolled over, her nose twitching as she could smell the mouse-bile. She suddenly stood up and looked around the den for the cat who had brought the offensive odor into the warrior den. At first, she was sure it had to be one of the usual pranksters, but as she looked around, she caught sight of Tigerpaw. An apprentice, of course. Some apprentices could be absolutely mousebrained sometimes - and Tigerpaw was one of them. She had been hoping to try and squeeze out as much sleep as possible this morning, especially with how loud and proud Darkstripe had been of his kits lately. Most of the time she could understand the pride, but when it woke her and kept her from getting sleep, she wasn't quite as understanding. Deciding to leave the den before any of the odor could cling to her, she left the den as well, slightly nodding at Russetfur. She imagined he had left the den for the same reasons she had.

(Oh, and Daisykit and Hollykit are up for grabs if either you or sassypaws wants one of them, Mistyeyes. Until someone claims them though, I'll somewhat rp them.)
Darkstripe gave a cheery head nod in greeting back to Tatteredtail, shifting into a sitting position and giving his fur a light shake. Just as he parted his jaws to speak, Aspenkit attacked; leaping forward and biting his father's heels rather hard. Darkstripe yelped and flopped over on his back to get a better view of his attacker. Upon seeing Aspenkit, Darkstripe purred in amusement.
Caught, Aspenkit dislodged himself from Darkstripe's heel and leapt on to him, loudly cheering, "I got you! I got you!" as he pushed his paws into the older tom's stomach.
Blueberry smiled softly at the two before turning her attention to Tatteredtail. "Morning, Tatteredtail. Did you rest well?" Beside her, her daughters stirred. Hollykit yawned and squirmed as she woke but, upon seeing her brother and father wrestling, she bounded toward them to join in on the fun. Daisykit, however, decided to sleep for a few more moments, sparing only a glance at the rest of her family before yawning and curling back up next to her mother.
Russetstep did a quick scan of the camp and, since Timberstar had not yet emerged from his den, headed toward the prey-pile. He picked through it slowly, scrutinizing every lump of fur he saw before finally deciding upon a rather plump rabbit. Upon seeing Mistyeyes exiting the Warriors' den, most likely for the same reason he had, he sent her an understanding look and a tail-flick in greeting.

Tigerpaw slowly flattened his ears, watching as the other warriors left the den. He knew he was in trouble now that his marvelous plan had failed. Glancing sideways at Stormfeather, who was glaring angrily at him, he sheepishly ducked his tail and reached down to grab the mouse bile. "It won't happen again," he mumbled softly, gathering the stinky collection with a swift flick of his paw.
"See that it won't," Stormfeather replied sharply, lashing her tail. "Take that stuff out of here right now, and come back. We need to go on patrol." Watching the striped apprentice slink out of the warriors den, Stormfeather yawned lightly and slipped into out into the open. Spotting Russetstep and Mistyeyes, Stormfeather slipped over to the two warriors and dipped her head apologetically. "Sorry about Tigerpaw," she muttered, glancing around the clearing to check that her apprentice was getting rid of the mouse bile. "He still has a lot to learn."

Tatteredtail chuckled at the kit's and Darkstripe's antics. Though he wasn't permitted to take a mate or have kits himself, he always enjoyed it when the nursery had at least one litter inside it. It may be more work for him, but it was worth it for the antics they were always getting into. "I slept enough. How about you and the kits? Everybody feeling well?" Tatteredtail asked, sitting down out of the way of the wrestling pile, "I think it's obvious enough that Darkstripe is having no trouble with his energy."
Mistyeyes flicked her tail in greeting back to Russetstep, before sitting down to groom through her own fur. She saw as Tigerpaw slunk out of the warrior's den with the mouse-bile moss ball in tow. Stormfeather soon followed. Mistyeyes listened to her apology and nodded afterward. "All apprentices are occasionally mouse-brained. I suppose it's part of growing up," Mistyeyes replied, "Though I can't say I'm not disappointed. I was hoping to stay in my bed as long as possible this morning."

Depositing the mouse bile in the dirtplace, Tigerpaw padded back into the clearing with his head and tail lifted high. He spotted Stormfeather standing nearby the other warriors, and for a brief moment wondered whether he should go hunting by himself or not. After a brief moment, he decided he was lucky enough Stormfeather hadn't punished him for the mouse bile incident; with a whisk of his fluffy tail, he pranced over to Stormfeather and halted alongside the black warrior, grinning towards her excitedly.
"You and me both," Stormfeather agreed with Mistyeyes, twitching her tail from side to side. She looked over as Tigerpaw approached, inwardly sighing at the proud smile plastered onto his face. Her apprentice just never seemed to learn. Turning back to Mistyeyes, she offered, "I want to take Tigerpaw out for some hunting practice. Want to join?"

(Ahhhhh sorry I poofed you guys, I had to make dinner and it took longer than expected due to a small kitchen fire ^-^' )
"Oh yes, the only trouble with Darkstripe's energy is that he has too much of it." Blueberry chimed in an affectionate tone. She had grown used to her mate's adrenalized personality long ago, so Darkstripe's liveliness didn't bother her. But she understood how others could easily become overwhelmed or irritated with him, so she usually did her best to keep him in check.
"The kits and I are well. They're growing more and more restless seemingly everyday, it's getting a bit harder to keep them in the nursery." The queen explained. The only kit of her that usually gave her very little trouble was Aspenkit, but the young tom did have his days in which it was hard to keep track of him; he truly is his father's kit. "But, they are alive and healthy, and for that I am thankful." She gave the medicine cat an appreciative dip of her head, her words laced with gratitude.
Russetstep shrugged his shoulders at Stormfeather's apology, his mouth full of rabbit as he nodded in agreement with Mistyeyes words about how mouse-brained apprentices could be. Granted, he was never an apprentice, but he had been Tigerpaw's age once and could easily recount a lot of hare-brained things he'd done back then. Swallowing his rabbit, he opened his mouth to speak but remained silent when movement from the corner of his eye caught his attention. He watched as Timberstar exited his den, his jaws parting in a yawn.
Timberstar did a quick scan of the camp with his one good eye, taking in the sight of other cats before him. Glancing up at the sky, he was mildly surprised to find that it was almost sunhigh; it's been quite a while since he'd slept this late seeing as Darkstripe usually would've somehow woken him up with one of his antics. Hearing Stormfeather's request, Timberstar headed toward the group.
"A patrol sounds like a wonderful idea, good thinking, Stormfeather." He complimented, inclining his head in greeting to his clan-mates.

(Kitchen fire?? Yikes I hope nothing bad happened!)
Tigerpaw bounced in excitement on the tips of his paws at Timberstar's words. "Will you come too?" he cried out eagerly, racing up to his leader and running in a circle around him.
Appalled at her apprentice's sudden behavior, Stormfeather strode up to the younger striped tabby and cuffed him over the ears. "Sit down at once," she ordered, lashing her tail in embarrassment. "Anyone would think you're a kit on his first trip out of the nursery!"
