Oh, well I'm glad it's not sad tears but sorry that it's everything at once? Though it sounds like you maybe had some stuff bottled up so may be better to get it out in a healthy way. Yeah, my general strategy of dealing with feelings of any kind is to just bottle up everything, always. I will admit that you seem to be scarily good at reading people. Ha! You're not the first person to say that to me either. I guess I just have a knack for knowing how people work I guess? And I like helping people. If I didn't have so many of my own issues I'd seriously consider becoming a counselor or a therapist.

On the old forums I used to help people out a lot [and on my blog, and on things in general] as well. Been more than a little disconnected recently, though, so activity on that end has been more than a bit dead. People used to lean on me a lot when I was a kid, too. Which was weird, because I was like 7-8 years old at the time.

It sounds to me like you just learned to bottle your emotions to not be an inconvenience to the people you were trying to help and all of that finally caught up to you. That's happened to me before. Finding a balance between the two is hard. Even i can't sometimes always accept that I need help when i want to be the one helping. Which is why I broke down so bad yesterday. Still sorry for snapping at you btw.

And I accept your apology, but trust me when I say that you didn't need to bother. I'm used to everyone screaming at me in some amount. Which is probably why I'm half-deaf, come to think of it. All that yelling haha.

Either that or everyone in my family just doesn't know what 'indoor voice' is or that, no, the TV doesn't need to be blaring at a volume of 75 every time you turn it on. I can turn the tv down to like, 15 and still hear it just fine jeez. I guess maybe they want to let the neighbors know what episode of CSI they're watching.

That's definitely my mother's side of the family for you! They all communicate by yelling. Well, except one of my aunts, but she's pretty soft-spoken in general, so. And my paternal grandmother yells everything she says [while simultaneously whining like a child, ugh], as well. And maybe they just like CSI that much, yeah. I mean, CSI is a good show.

True, my grandma just loves crime shows it's not just CSI. I may not live with my family anymore but now ANY loud noises really just grinds my gears and gives me a headache. I can only deal with them in small doses at this point and after how I've been treated the last few times I'm starting to wonder if I just flat out don't need or want them in my life at all anymore. Like, man come on I'm an adult can't you stop treating me like a child or being so in my personal space that I don't have any? I just want to be seen as an equal. I know I'm still their offspring but it doesn't mean i'm their child anymore y'know?

And if you're seriously thinking you don't, then you do not. Unfortunately, though, it's a lot harder to cut out some people from your life than others. :/

Unfortunately, though, it's a lot harder to cut out some people from your life than others. :/ I know they're really abusive toxic people who have ruined certain aspects of my life on purpose however it doesn't stop me from still going "You raised me and I'm still obligated to love you for that and putting a roof over my head, clothes, food etc." but then I go, "I don't have to be obligated to do ANYTHING because you constantly made me feel guilty because taking care of me was an inconvenience to you." Raising children is legit always going to be an inconvenience as a parent but it's not my fault cause I sure didn't ask to be born. :^)
