(You're fine) (Um, well I can honestly say I have played a few vampire rps, but no vampire academy rps. I don't really have any ideas at the moment, maybe if we decide on species first? Human, Alchemist, Moroi, Dhampir, or Strigoi? Then we could have a plot surrounding what they are)

(So St. Vladimir, or a branch school at the setting? Sounds good to me. Oh! What if we had a couple of childhood friends similar to Lissa and Rose (Not exactly, moroi does not need to be a Spirit user or lose his/her parents) who run away because of the pressures of royal life, then get dragged back but don't realize they have feelings for each other until the school starts to separate them because of "bad influence to each other"? Or am I think way to cliche?)

(Kay!)
Had it been a few weeks? Maybe a couple months? It was hard to keep track of time with the flurry of activity that had gone on recently. Running away from the academy, renting out an apartment- which in itself had been a hassle because he was moving in with a girl, taking care of his Moroi childhood friend and charge...What Darius wouldn't do for just a break, to sleep for an entire day and night without worrying about something going wrong. Of course, when your childhood friend is that of a royal bloodline, that was nearly impossible to do. Survive, day by day, watch your back for Strigoi, they could be lurking in every corner.
He knew he had to crawl out of bed, always for one reason or another. So after a moment, he managed to push himself out of bed and stretch. He wasn't a small guy, broad shoulders and muscular, fit more for a football team than a basketball team, standing at 5'11 in height. His skin was fairly darker, hinting at both a mixed ancestry and long hours outside for various types of training. Being a dhampir, particularly one training at St. Vladimir's Academy to become a Guardian to a royal Moroi, was never easy. Looking down at himself, he knew that better than anyone, staring at several scars that marred his chest and arms. They weren't terrible scars, he had never been in a fight with a Strigoi before, but he had several altercations with his classmates, and even the instructors.
Shaking his head from the thoughts, he tugged on a white shirt before walking out of his bedroom, yawning lightly before he caught sight of the mirror. Dark brown eyes with dark circles under them stared back at him, his dusty blonde hair sticking out all over the place, but he didn't particularly care. Until told, he had no plans to go anywhere, except to the kitchen. "Are you up yet Cassie?" He called into the rest of the apartment as he made his way to the kitchen and started making a pot of coffee before preparing to make breakfast.
Sometimes he wondered why Cassandra joined him on this run away mission. She was a Moroi, the only princess to a dying bloodline, the Volkov. Of course, they weren't nearly as dying as the Dragomirs, but they were close to it, Cassandra and her older brother being the only heirs to the clan, the only ones to continue the line. Sometimes he thought she should have stayed at the school, within their protection, but he also sometimes worried they weren't protection enough. So far he had done a pretty dang good job of protecting her, keeping her alive, and he planned to keep doing so. He vowed, so many years ago, that he would be her guardian, and while he may have taken that mantle up a little early, he planned to protect her as well as any full-blown guardian could.

Cassie opened her eyes to find dying orange rays of sunlight shining in through her blinds. This was early morning for her, and the sound of Darius's voice meant she might as well get up. "Yeah, I'm up!" She announced, the end of her sentence dissolving into a yawn. She peeled herself out of bed and observed her reflection in her vanity mirror. Moroi royal life was one of protection and pampering, and she was certainly missing out on the latter. She was short for a Moroi, at about five foot six, and her creamy pale skin was even paler and almost dull from lack of blood.
"Ugh, I look dead." She groaned, running a hairbrush through her pale blonde hair. It usually fell in bouncy, thick ash waves to below her shoulder blades, but was currently dull and flat. Her stormy blue-grey eyes stared back at her, ringed by dark shadows. Geez, Darius is gonna freak... She broke her attention away from her lackluster appearance and pulled on a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt and made her way into the kitchen.
"Good morning," Cassie announced, grabbing herself a cup of coffee and sitting at the kitchen table. She didn't need to eat regular food, but sometimes it made her feel better to do so suddenly being tossed into the human world. She noticed the dark circles that framed Darius's eyes mirrored her own, and something about his strong figure seemed tired. She frowned. He probably was, having to devote all his time to protecting her.
"I don't know who looks worse, me or you," she joked half-heartedly, closing her eyes and taking a sip of the coffee.

Also, I figure they should have some kind of reason for leaving the school, since I'm sure it'll come up. Maybe one of them had a premonition like Lissa that caused her and Rose to leave (I think that's what it was?)? Or maybe there was a Strigoi attack? Or both? Or neither? Halp }]

Darius tilted his head as he heard her reply, listening to the yawn behind her voice. Shaking his head, he continued to cook silently. He'd always been a fairly decent cook, often taking care of his mother when he was younger. He was the child of a Moroi and human, having lived away from the moroi side of the family for most of his life. When he decided to go with Cassandra to St. Vladimir, his father agreed to take over the care of his mother, though he still vaguely worried about that said care. She's probably being used for blood again. He thought to himself nearly every night. Of course, since running away, he had learned the allure of being bitten, but he couldn't say he was fond of it.
Shaking his head of the thoughts, he plated the breakfast and set it on the table. Breakfast consisted of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and fresh cut fruit. "Morning Princess." He rumbled as he glanced at her, the dark circles and nearly sickly pale skin. He had to grit his teeth at it, but he tried to pay no mind as he turned back to the counter to clean up a bit before he finally got around to sitting down with his own cup of coffee.
Her question caught him off guard as he started to put food on his plate. His eyes narrowed slightly as he thought about it, about how worse for wear they were. He didn't like it, he didn't like how tired and weak they probably appeared. "Some blood and you'll feel better in no time." Was all he said after a moment, cutting into a pancake and eating it pretty quickly.

(Um, hum...What if the Strigoi attacks had been getting closer and closer to the school, and one of them overheard something from one of the instructors that was extremely suspicious? That caused them to become on edge before they decided it was time to up and leave?)

[{ Sounds good to me! Hope I'm not overstepping boundaries having her know about his family, but I figure she probably would. }]
Cassie watched Darius as he quietly made breakfast. He seemed lost in thought, and she wondered if he was worrying about his family again. His parents were a strange case, being human and Moroi. He was very protective of his mother, and had mentioned a few times that he worried about abuse from his father, namely using his mother for blood. Blood... suddenly the coffee tasted bitter and she set it down, licking the last few droplets from her full lips.
She stuck her fork in a piece of pineapple and chewed on it blankly. The thought of fresh blood made her lose what little appetite she had for human food, but she didn't want to let the feast Darius had prepared go to waste on her end. She nodded in response to his saying she needed blood. It was more complicated out in the normal world than at St. Vladimir's. At the academy, they had a steady supply of willing feeders, but out here they hunt to "hunt" for feeders in a sense. The endorphins released from a Moroi bite meant that most of her victims didn't have a miserable time, but it still made her feel wrong and gross.
She shook it off and turned her attention back to Darius. "It's true that I need blood, but what about you? You can't keep going like this."

(They're childhood friends, they know each other's families I would assume XD)
"Going like what Cassie?" Darius asked simply, now eating eggs and bacon, oddly enough mixed together, but it was just something he did. He could be a bottomless pit when he wanted to be, or if he was simply hungry. He was a big guy, it was usually assumed that he could put down food, and he really could, especially after a good workout. Even if Cassandra didn't eat much of the food he made, he would end up eating most of it, and what could be saved, he would pack up for leftovers later.
Looking up at her again, he knew what she was talking about. Constantly on edge, watching the world around them, tense and on guard at all times. Nine times out of Ten, he didn't even sleep well, always paranoid that someone might try to break in, someone might find them. Thinking about it now, the thought of moving again crossed his mind. It wasn't safe to stay in one place for long, they would have to move soon again, erase any track that they could have made.
He gave a brief smile though, closing his eyes as if trying to imagine that everything was going perfectly well around them. "I promised to protect you Cassie, as both my Princess and my childhood friend." It was a pet name, sure, calling her Princess. She was of royal lineage, he was of considerable low rank, even for a dhampir, so he thought it was cute. "Be it from Strigois, other Moroi, humans, or even your own desire for blood, I am your sword and shield, my life is as much my own as it is yours."

Cassie swallowed the bite of pineapple hard and stared at Darius in silence. Sure, most dhampirs felt this way about the Moroi they were sworn to protect (unofficially, in their case) but something about the intensity in his voice made her cheeks flush. Suddenly, to break the silence, she rushed forward with her fork and dove it into Darius mess of breakfast food, then stuffed it in her mouth. "Geez, you're so dramatic." She teased. Even as she said this, she knew he had meant every word he said.
The world was dark now, with only the light from the street lamp outside casting a soft amber glow inside the kitchen window. "I say we should go out tonight. I need blood, and you obviously could use some fresh air." She waited for his protest, something along the lines of "you-get-blood-and-we-come-back", but she already had puppy dog eyes loaded and ready to use.

Darius grunted softly as she took food from his plate, but he didn't particularly care. If he wanted, he'd just go for more that was laid out on the table. He wasn't possessive of his food like most guys from his class. Actually, he was usually the one taking food from plates, or trading for something. Food was there to be eaten, and there was always someone to eat something, his class knew that well.
He gave a soft sigh, glancing towards the window before thinking about it. When was the last time they had gone out except for groceries? Normally he'd protest, wanting to be outside as little as possible, worried the Guardians from St. Vladimir would be out looking, hunting them. In the back of his mind, he thought about even protesting going out for blood; if she needed it, he was right there, even if he hated it. He knew how much she hated it though, and had decided not to force that on her, let her chose when it came to that necessity.
"Very well, but this week I want to start looking at new towns to move too. We've been here to long." He said after a moment, finishing up his own meal before he pushed away from the table, ready to pack up breakfast and then go to change clothes. Sleeping pants were less than idea for fighting and going outside in general, and he needed to grab his jacket and stake.

Cassie smiled into the plate of food she was absentmindedly stirring around, surprised at how easy it was to convince Darius to take a night out. He'd never admit it, but she knew he couldn't be any happier than she was to always be holed up in this little apartment. She nodded in agreement to him saying they needed to move. "Can't argue with that." Currently they were in southern Montana, not more than a hundred miles from Saint Vladimir's. It was a hasty decision to get the apartment as the pair was still riding on the high from their escape. They had definitely overstayed their welcome.
She took one more bite of pineapple, savoring the sweet taste, and ran off to her room to change. A pair of black joggers and a matching black jacket would do. It blended in with the night, and would be lot better than her jeans if she needed to run. She made her way back to the front door, bouncing on her heels, hardly able to wait to venture outside.
Most of the time, the people they targeted for her to get her blood were from bars and clubs, inebriated people that would hardly remember their encounter with a vampire. The were easy to use compulsion on, and she cringed at the thought of taking advantage of their muddled minds and the intoxication that often transferred over to her. Regardless, it was their best option. She shook off the thought, focusing only on the fact the she was getting out of the house and would soon have the blood that fueled her body. "Darius, come on!"
