SEDGEPAW | Big Park | Darkpaw @redheartofriverclan
"Let's go," Sedgepaw smirked as she approached the pond, she whipped her tail back and forth as she gazed at the geese going about their day happily. She dug her claws into the ground before she jumped forward. She pinpointed one goose in particular - a massive white one with a bright yellow beak. She closed her jaws on its tail feathers, expecting it to lurch forward and try to run away. Only, that wasn't what happened. What happened instead was the goose turned tail and snapped at Sedgepaw, who was lucky enough to step back in time. Wings widespread, the goose honked and snapped again at the small calico apprentice. Sedgepaw scrambled to turn and run from the creature which was much bigger than she, and despite the danger of the situation, her eyes were bright. She ran around the pond, leaving little paw marks in the squishy mud. "Isn't this fun?" She shouted to Darkpaw, then jumped as the goose honked and tried to snap at her tail again. She zig-zagged around, gaining ground between her and the goose until it finally gave a final honk and shook it's feathers, returning to its place.
KESTRELCLAW | Camp | Willowstorm .
Kestrelclaw smirked at his son and playfully, yet gently, batted his with his paw. "Your mentor will teach you how you hunt - but you'll become the best hunter." He purred. Though there was only a moment before Mistykit was bouncing up and down beside her brother.
"What about me?" She squeaked, flicking her tail, "Why can't I be the best hunter?" She asked with a stamp of her tiny grey paw. Kestrelclaw looked to Willowstorm with a look of amusement. He had no idea how his wonderful mate kept sane when she was locked in here with these two fluff-balls all day.
"You'll both be the best," He meowed before bending to lick Fogkit, then Mistykit, then he raised his head to touch Willowstorm on the nose once more. "I'll be back soon, my love." He purred. Then he turned and headed out.
Mistykit crouched down, her rear high in the air and her tail waving, "I'm the best! I'll show you!" She leaped at her brother and gnawed at his ear.

(I think we might've talked about this before? I wanna be a vet too! I really hope so. I had the opportunity to go to Spain with my school during my senior year of high school but my parents wouldn't let me I mean I've had a few colds since then but nothing serious) [ not gonna lie, some things about us are so similar it's weird xD it's cool though. but ye, i wanna be a vet! i love the whole idea, and i like the idea of healing cute animals more than scary people o.o
oh jeez that stinks. you'll get out there though - you have too. take my word for it! i wonder why your parents are so against it though? maybe they've had bad experiences and stuff.
yeah, last year we had this massive flu and tummy bug combo that wiped me out lmao
also, brb. going out to an appointment, might take an hour or more. ]

Fogkit puffed out his chest at the thought of becoming the best hunter. He knew he could be the best. He would be even better than Mistykit! Even better than Kestrelclaw and Willowstorm! Fogkit knew he could be a great warrior and the young kit wasn't about to let anyone tell him that he couldn't. "I hope I have a good mentor! Like Jackdawstar or Stormstrike," he said. He clearly thought he deserved the highest ranking cats to be teaching him the ways of the clan. "Oh, Mistykit. You can be just as good as your brother," Willowstorm said. She purred and pulled her female kit close, licking her. "And I'm sure you'll show Fogkit that the second you two become Apprentices," she said with a laugh. Oh boy, their mentors would had their paws full. Willowstorm' eyes sparkled when Kestrelclaw turned his attention to her once more. She loved her mate and it was clear that he was the only cat that could make her feel so loved. She watched him go, wishing that they could spend more time together. It was just so hard with her in the nursery all the time. Once he was gone, she turned to her kits. "Okay, I'm gonna take a nap. Don't cause any trouble you two," she warned. "I won't!" Fogkit promised. He turned to Mistykit when Willowstorm was asleep. "Let's do something fun!" (So who should suggest it and who should end up in trouble?) aether

Neither of them have left the country. I think it's just the hassle and time and money. Like I'm pretty sure they can afford it but would rather travel within America and save money. It sucks though cause I really want to travel
I hope to study abroad in Spain or something. I know one person that studied abroad but unfortunately I don't really talk to her anymore. She went to Australia though)

DarkpawDarkpaw could practically feel his stomach fall out as he watched Sedgepaw sprint around with the goose almost at her tail. His eyes flickered with terror as he saw the small sharp tooth-like studs lining the gooseβs beak. Once she was done, he hesitasntly headed towards another goose, his legs shaking like reeds in the wind, before he stopped and ran like fires burned under his feet. βI canβt do it!β he stammered, sounding as if he was to the point of tears. He knew he had to- besides, he had hoped initially that he may find companionship in Sedgepaw, and this was probably the only way to obtain it- but every time he looked at the long-necked beast he felt as if he was to hurl up his insides. βI... just canβt. After all, they arenβt wrong when they call me a coward.β

MISTYKIT | Nursery | Fogkit .[ i flipped a coin and it said Fogkit got into trouble, so how about Mistykit suggests it? ] "We'll be good!" Mistykit promised her mother in an unconvincing voice as Willowstorm laid her head to rest. She looked to her brother with playful green eyes and flicked her tail excitedly. "Yeah, something fun," she tilted her head as she thought of a suggestion. Annoying Snakwclaw in the elders den was always fun, but he wasn't in there today. Kestrelclaw was gone too, so they couldn't play with him either. A cheeky grin formed on her fluffy grey face, "Let's go explore!" She suggested with a hushed whisper, "We can go out and prove that we are ready to be warriors! Let's go hunting!" She couldn't control her excitement at the thought, and she began to jump up at the idea. "Whoever catches the most wins!" She challenged. SEDGEPAW | Big Park | Darkpaw @redheartofriverclanSedgepaw watched as Darkpaw headed towards another goose. Her fluffed up calico coat ruffled as cool breeze brushed past, and she panted - enjoying herself. Frostpaw was always so quiet, he didn't like to disappoint, so he never usually went out. Nightpaw and Amberpaw sometimes did, but not too much. Darkpaw was someone who she didn't often think about for doing this kind of thing, but she admired him for coming despite his 'scaredy cat' nature. Though when he turned tail and fled back to her, she tilted her head in confusion. Her amber eyes weren't mean or cruel - just confused. "A coward?" She sniffed and shook her head, "Darkpaw, you've practically come all this way with your tail between you legs - yet you still came didn't you? I don't think it's very cowardly to face your fears, or to attempt to face them." She dug her claws into the soft ground and puffed out her chest, "I don't think you're a coward at all!"

(Sounds good. Ready for this?)
Fogkit realized that willowstorm must be really tired if she had believed Mistykit's unconvincing tone. Fogkit watched his mother sleep for a moment and nodded satisfactorily when he decided she wouldn't be waking up anytime soon. That would give him and Mistykit some time to have some fun. At the mention of exploring and hunting, he nodded. Part of him wanted to see if one of the apprentices were around to take them out, but then he realIzed that came with the risk of being sent to the nursery and having Willowstorm woken up. Then they'd be out of luck and Willowstorm would be tired and cranky. "Lets go!" he said. He pushed his way out of the nursery, following Kestrelclaw's footsteps as he avoided any warriors that might be lurking around camp.
"I'm gonna catch so much prey and everyone will be so impressed that they'll make me the youngest apprentice ever!" he said, his voice filling with excitement as he bounced towards the wild unknown beyond their camp borders. "I'm gonna catch a squirrel and a pigeon and a mouse and a fish and a rabbit and maybe even a dog," he said, flashing his claws as he swiped at midair. "Come on, Mistykit! Don't be a slowpoke!" Onc she was sure they were undiscovered, he took off running in a random direction.

Exactly! I want to go so badly and I've heard so many amazing stories from the places you see and people you meet. Especially cause I'm from a small town where everyone is pretty much the same and we don't get much diversity or anything so it'd be cool to see the world outside of my little bubble.
Oh I've heard so many good things about Spain. I want to go to Spain, Australia (but is it true that there's like gigantic spiders and stuff?), and Italy.)

MISTYKIT | Nursery | Fogkit aether
Mistykit, despite her bubbling excitement, kept a low profile as she and Fogkit sneaked out of the camp. She stuck to the taller grass, keeping as low to the ground as she could manage - which wasn't too difficult for the tiny kitten. When they reached a place of safety, she began bounding - almost going so fast her little paws couldn't keep up. "Same! I'll catch a squirrel and a rabbit and a pigeon and a goose!" She giggled at the thought of dragging a massive bird back into camp. "They won't even make me an apprentice - I'll become the youngest warrior ever! I'll be called Mistyheart!" She squeaked. She raced behind her brother, almost tripping many times, but keeping on her paws. Up ahead, she saw a thunderpath. It smelled awful, so much so, she scrunched up her nose and fluffed up in distaste. "What is that?" She spat the words with disgust
[ That'll be good o: My cousin's gf is becoming a vet and she said she'll hook me up cx But horses - I remember you said you used to show them. I'd like to work with rabbits (so hard to find a rabbit vet), but any animal too.
Yeah, it would be awesome for ya. I hope for you that you do get to explore the world!
There are spiders here, but the most common big spider (the huntsman) isn't even dangerous xD and like, you don't seem them too much. only if you live in the bush or if there is a bunch of rain and they try and hide in you house. ]

Fogkit slowed down once he was free from the confines of camp. His paws jittered with excitement as he took step after step into unfamiliar territory. "And I'll be the youngest leader ever! Fogstar! And I'll only give you an apprentice if you tell me I'm the coolest leader in the history of leaders," he said. He paused his conversation with his sister when they encountered the thunderparh. "I dunno but we should probably leave it alone. We don't want to come home smelling like that or we'll get in trouble," he pointed out. But if they came home wirh piles of prey, they'd surely be forgiven for leaving camp without supervision. He turned away from the thunderpath and grinned when he saw a bubbling river. "Let's take a swim before we hunt!" He suggested. He'd never learned how to swim, but how hard could it be? The water would feel nice on a day like today and would energize the kits even more. (That's nice that you have a connection. Would you do just rabbits or work with all small animals? Idk I feel like that's the one part of Australia that I couldn't do. Or the heat. I'm not very good with heat XD) aether

MISTYKIT | Outside Camp | Fogkit .
Mistykit's shook her head, a giggle escaping her lips, "You'll be the stinkiest leader ever!" She squeaked playfully. She nodded her head to Fogkit's suggestion though - they wouldn't want to be caught by their scent. She turned around after him and caught sight of the water just as he did, and it spiked her interest instantly. The thunderpath forgotten, she padded up to the water. "A swim?" She seemed less sure than her brother, she'd never swam before. But she glanced to her confident brother and couldn't help her determination to keep up with him, "Let's swim." She nodded her head as she spoke. She pawed at the water, her fur on her paw becoming damp - the colour turning from the light grey to dark grey. "I'll go in after you," she mewed, looking to her brother.
[ Any animal really, but small animals i think i'd like to specialise in. haha, it's not too bad. It probably sounds worse than it is xD ]

Fogkit turned and did his best to appear fierce when Mistykit said he'd be a stinky leader. It was her fault for making him slow down by the thunderpath, but he wasn't about to say that. He was just happy to he out of camp and exploring on their own and he wasn't about to say anything that would ruin the day or cause Mistykit to be mad at him. When she agreed to a swim, he boldly approached the river and stuck a paw in. It was cold, but he couldn't back down now. When Mistykit said he should go in first, he nodded. He carefully went in until his feet could no longer touch the bottom. The young tom panicked for a second but quickly learned how to move his legs and keep himself afloat. "Oh, this is easy! Come on Mi-" his words were cut off as some debris hit the tom and pushed him under. He leg got caught in something and it seemed to be pulling him under as he struggled to keep his head above water. "Mistykit!" he cried. It seemed that Willowstorm's mother senses kicked in and her green eyes flew open. "Fogkit? Mistykit?" The nursery was empty, so she exited and looked around camp. No sign of her kits. She tried to hide her fear as she left camp. "Willowstorm? Where are you going?" Gorseflight asked lazily. She hesitated. It might be nice to have a warrior with her, but she doubted her kits got far and she didn't want to be seen as a bad or oblivious mother. "A quick hunt. I'm gonna surprise Kestrelclaw," she lied, rushing out of camp. She picked up their trail and followed the scent, speeding up when she heard Fogkit's small cries. (Just like I'd like to specialize in horses... All animals are great though Except spiders. Spiders are the one thing I can't handle XD) aether

MISTYKIT | river | Fogkit, Willowstorm .
Despite her radiating confidence, Mistykit watched with concern as her brother padded carefully into the stream, she watched with wide eyes, but relaxed herself when he said it was easy. That was until he went under and struggled to get back up. "Fogkit!" She squealed, pacing on the spot. He needed help! She had to help him... without a second thought, she ove in after him. Which, although heroic, wasn't a great call for she didn't know how to swim either, and was struggling to keep herself afloat let alone saving her brother. "I'm... c-coming!" She spat through a mouthful of water. She was struggling though, her coat was pulling her down, she kicked with all her might until she was able to feel the dirt bank, but Fogkit was still struggling where it was deeper. Her stomach clenched, "Help!" She called to anyone who would listen. Anyone who could hear.

Fogkit watched as his sister jumped in after him. "Mistykit!" he called again, trying his best to swim towards her. Something had caught onto his leg and the tom was pulled under again when he pulled after Mistykit. He held his breath until he managed to break the surface again. He could feel his mouth begin to fill with the dirty water and he realized that this wasn't how he wanted to go. When Willowstorm heard Mistykit, her heart clenched and she sped up. The she-cat was beginning to regret not bringing Gorseflight along. She caught sight of her sweet babies struggling in the river and she was fueled by some sort of blind panic. She walked in and grabbed Mistykit easily. She pulled the kit out and placed her on the dry ground. "Stay," she hissed, slightly more harsh than necessary. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins as Fogkit was pulled under again. Willowstorm dove under, holding her breath as she untangled him. She swam upwards again, her kit firmly in her jaws. Her gray coat was heavy and dripping with whatever as she brought Fogkit to his sister. The small kit coughed up some water and flopped next to his sister, still shaking from a mixture of cold and shock. "I can't believe you two," Willowstorm said. She began licking Fogkit first, trying to get him up. Once she saw her kit move, she switched to Mistykit. Though she was licking the small female, her eyes stayed locked on Fogkit to make sure he was okay. "I swear-" she was cut off by the growling of a dog. (Did you want to be the dog? Or me? I don't care but I don't want you to have to just sit there with Mistykit XD Hopefully it'll work out for both of us *fingers crossed* Ew cockroaches. And centipedes. And millipedes) aether

MISTYKIT | River | Fogkit, Willowstorm
Mistykit was shivering from the cold water that dripped from her pelt. The usually fuzzy she-cat was not half her size, looking more fragile and tiny than ever. When she was scooped into her mothers jaws, she felt relieve rush through her paws, even as she ducked her head under her mothers harsh words. She was safe, and now Willowstorm would save Fogkit too - and they'd both be safe. She watched as Willowstorm disappeared into the water, then reappeared with Fogkit in her jaws. Her brother looked so limp that Mistykit felt like her heart would stop. With wide, frightened green eyes she watched her mother frantically licking her brother under her coughed up some water. Then she felt her mothers tongue on herself, and she felt like she could relax now.
That was until she heard the growl nearby. She turned around on cold, numb paws to the creature that made the sound. It was huge (though she was only a tiny kitten). With a massive head, filled with massive fangs, and a look in its eye that craved one thing - blood. The dog growled menacingly before it lurched forward, it's crazed eyes on Willowstorm. It's fang snapped wildly. Being a large dog, it wasn't the fastest, but it carried itself with force. Mistykit could only try and scramble away.
[ Ye, i'll be the doggo. What injuries shall Willowstorm sustain? poor kitty lol
Yeah! Cockroaches are the ickiest of all >.< ]

Willowstorm had been about to leap into a mixture of lecturing her kits and also telling them how thankful she was that they were alive. Before she could even open her mouth, she heard the familiar growl of a dog and froze. She'd heard that sound many times before, but they were normally locked up by two legs or on some kind of leash. This one was free. Willowstorm turned to face the dog, standing between it and her kits.
Fogkit jumped to his feet, stumbling slightly, and pressed his body close to Mistykit. He knew he and his sister could do nothing but watch as their mother fought the best, but he still wanted the comfort of having his sister nearby. "I'm here, Mistykit," he said, as if he were trying to comfort her. He knew that he was just as, if not more, terrified than his sister.
Willowstorm hissed and tried to land the first move. Maybe if she caught the dog off guard it would leave her and her babies alone. She lunged forward, swiping at the dog's face with her claws outstretched.
(Hmmm.... I'm not sure. I was thinking possibly blinded. Or mess up her leg like Cinderpelt? Do you think it would mess up her leg enough if the dog like grabbed her by the leg and shook her? Unless you have any ideas? I didn't think this far ahead.
Basically anything like that I don't like. Anything else is cool though)

DarkpawDarkpaw backed away- he wasnβt used to compliments that much. βYou must be mistaken,β he said. βIβll prove it to you.β Slowly, with every bone in him jittering like the heartbeat of a sparrow, he approached the goose, which absolutely dwarfed him in size. He jolted for a second, with his legs would up as if he were to run, but he ventured closer. In a surprisingly swift moment, he bit into the back of the gooseβs wing. For a split second, all was still- and then the goose shook its wing, flinging Darkpaw away. The goose turned and began to charge, and Darkpaw let out a scream (even he was surprised by how loud and high-pitched it was) before sprinting off again, seeming to only be a moment away from swooning out of fear. The goose let out a rather deflated honk before returning to its spot, the dent Darkpawβs teeth had made in its wing still visible. He was shaking now, his eyes wider than the full moon, and it seemed as if he still thought he was going to die. βI told you...β he panted between tremors of fear, his ears looking almost as if glued to the back of his head.

[ before i type it out, i reckon a hurt leg would be alright - i think a doggo could do that more easily than making her blind. ]
SEDGEPAW | Big Park | Darkpaw @redheartofriverclan
Sedgepaw watched the whole interaction with a tilt of her head. He isn't a coward, but he is kind of weird... She thought to herself. Her ears were perked and her eyes stayed on Darkpaw the entire time he ran. She watched as he approached her, looking terrified, and tremoring from head to toe. She tilted her head at him, before laughing. "You tried to prove to me you weren't a coward? By doing something that's the opposite of cowardly?!" She fell onto her back, laughing until she was breathless. "I think you just proved my point!" She said through the last few breaths of her laugh, and she rolled back over to sit up again. Her pelt was now a little muddy and grass, but she didn't care. "Even if you were a coward, you're stubborn or determined enough to face your fears anyway," she added.

MISTYKIT | River | Fogkit, Willowstorm .
Mistykit trembled against her wet brother, overcome with fear and cold. Her little heart was beating so hard against her chest she found herself struggling to gulp in air. As her mother began bravely fighting back against the vicious dog, she ducked her head and closed her eyes. She couldn't bear to watch, and she felt sick to her stomach with the thought that all this was her fault.
The dog did falter somewhat when Willowstorm striked back at it, but it also became more enraged. It began flailing wildly with its teeth glaring is it's massive paws swiping. Until finally, it managed to wrap its jaws around Willowstorm's hind right leg. Without mercy, the dog swept the she-cat off her feet in a swift motion as it began to shake it's prey - its head whipping back and forth.
Mistykit raised her head at the awful sounds that were produced, and a scream sounded in the air. It took her a moment to realise it was her that was actually screaming.
JACKDAWSTAR | Walking To Camp | Fogkit, Willowstorm, Mistykit
A short distance from the commotion, Jackdawstar was heading back to camp with a pigeon in his jaws. He had a bit of a skip to his step as he did so, his interaction with Callie still fresh and her scent still on his nose. But that feeling was drained from his paws when an ear-splitting scream erupted nearby. He dropped his pigeon and immediately and ran towards the sound.

Fogkit couldn't watch. He'd thought his mom was brace and strong at first, but now he just couldn't keep his eyes on her as the dog lifted her into the air and mercilessly destroyed her. It made him feel sick and he suddenly wished that he and his sister had waited until they were apprentices to leave camp. Why were they so impatient? Now their mother was going to die and it was all their fault.
"I'm gonna attack it," Fogkit said. He moved forward to save Willowstorm, but stumbled to the ground. He hadn't realized how cold and weak he still was after being pulled from the river by his mother.
Willowstorm's screams pierced the air at first, but then they were silenced as she flailed in any attempt to defeat the dog. She clawed at its face, only hitting fur about half the time. And when she did, she knew it wasn't strong enough to do any real damage.
Fogkit saw another figure approaching and stiffened. Oh no. If it was another dog or a rogue or something, he and Mistykit would be toast. He soon recognized the figure as their clan's leader and shouted. "Jackdawstar! Help! Please!" His voice was high pitched and trembling, showing the young tom's fear of what would happen to his mother.

JACKDAWSTAR, MISTYKIT | River | Fogkit, Willowstorm
Mistykit buried her face into her paws, unable to watch as the dog threw her mother about in the air. It was a horrific sight, but not even the back of her eyelids were safe from the traumatic images. She hadn't even been able to respond when he spoke of helping the fight. She had completely frozen in fear - unsure if her mother was going to be able to fight, or if today would be their last.
The dog gave no mercy, Jackdawstar watched as it was unfazed by Willowstorm's attempt to fight back. His claws unsheathed as he raced as fast of his legs would move, a blur of fluffy black fur - his tail streaming behind him. With all the force he could muster, he dived straight into battle. He had the advantage Willowstorm did not. He was able to surprise the dog, leaping straight onto its shoulders and scoring his claws over its face as he immediately gripped its scruff in his jaws. This gave enough surprise to the dog that it ungracefully dropped Willowstorm and began to try and snap at Jackdawstar, but the tom was safely on his shoulders - close to the snapping jaws, but not enough that they grabbed him.
Just like the dog, Jackdawstar had no mercy. He ran his claws over its face, its neck, its shoulders, over and over. His teeth biting and pulling at its ears. The dog wasn't able to fight back with the cat in its blind spot despite its snapping efforts, so it turned began to run away. Jackdawstar jumped off it, his chest heaving, his claws stuffed with fur and blood. He'd made his mark on that dog.
But it wasn't a victory he was proud to win, for when he turned to look at injured Willowstorm, terrified Mistykit, and scared Fogkit, he shook his pelt. "What happened? Are you okay?" He quickly moved towards Willowstorm, who needed attention the most.

Fogkit was shaking as he watched Jackdawstar jump into action. It wasn't clear if it was from fear or the cold or both. Most likely both. He let out a little whimper as he watched his mother's body fall to the ground and he was almost too afraid to approach her. What if she wasn't alive? He couldn't deal with that. Willowstorm's fighting had weakened, and she barely noticed Jackdawstar as he fought the dog and eventually chased it off. When her body collided with the ground, she let out a small whimper of pain. She feared looking down at her leg, unable to imagine what kind of damage the dog had done. Instead her green eyes travelled to her kits and then to Jackdawstar. He asked a question and she was about to respond, but Fogkit beat her to it. The small kit raced over to his mother's body when he saw that she had survived the vicious attack. "It's all our fault!" he cried. "We-we wanted to go hunting and prove that we were ready to be apprentices," he said, his head hanging in shame when he realized that he and Mistykit were the only ones to blame for willowstorm's injuries. "I got caught in the river and she rescued us, but then the dog..." he trailed off. Jackdawstar could fill in the rest. Willowstorm tried to concentrate on the conversation, but the pain in her leg made it impossible to focus. She didn't want to scare her kits anymore than she already had, so she glanced up at Jackdawstar from her position on the ground. "I think we should head to camp," she said to the tom, wincing as she moved slightly. "Can you help me up?" Fogkit hung his head in shame. aether

JACKDAWSTAR, MISTYKIT | River | Fogkit, Willowstorm
Jackdawstar's eyes travelled to Willowstorm's leg, and although he tried to hide his horror from the queen, he felt sick just at the sight. It was twisted in a way that didn't seem natural. He gulped, but turned to gaze to Fogkit as he jumped to attention. His explanation was enough for Jackdawstar to understand the situation, his eyes narrowed to the small tom, then he looked to the small she-kit who seemed traumatised. "You two, stay close." He said to Fogkit and Mistykit, then he bent down to Willowstorm. "Sorry," he said in advanced as he grabbed her scruff and slowly pulled her up.
Mistykit hung her head in shame, her tail was drooping behind her as she stood beside Fogkit. "It's all my fault... I wanted to leave camp..." She muttered, her body trembled from cold and fear.
"Are you okay to walk?" Jackdawstar wasn't sure, the state of her leg left him unsure if she would be able to walk. The dog had done some serious damage, he wasn't sure if she'd walk fine ever again.

Fogkit didn't reply to Jackdawstar, but let his head hang in shame as he walked close to the tom. He didn't want to be on his own after seeing the dog attack his mother like that. He and Mistykit wouldn't stand a chance if they were forced to fight a dog. Willowstorm winced slightly and let out another small whimper as Jackdawstar lifted her to her feet. She did her best to hide her pain from her kits, but she knew there was something obviously wrong with her leg. She just hoped the medicine cat would be able to fix it so she'd still be able to return to her warrior duties when her kits reached six moons and joined the apprentices of the clan. Fogkit finally looked up when he heard Mistykit. He shook his head at her words. "No, we both agreed to leave camp and I was the one that suggested swimming." He knew he wouldn't have thought of leaving camp if Mistykit hadn't suggested it, but he didn't want to see his sister beating herself up over what happened. "Come on, let's just get back to camp. I-I'm cold," he said. He looked at the ground again, pressing close to his sister. Willowstorm nodded. She didn't want to give in and have to have Jackdawstar carry her back to camp or something. She attempted to take a step and stumbled slightly. After that, she did her best to hop along on three legs, occasionally leaning on the leader for support. She just had to hope that she'd recover from whatever the dog had done to her leg. aether

JACKDAWSTAR, MISTYKIT | Heading to Camp | Fogkit, Willowstorm .
Jackdawstar felt for Willowstorm - if Fogkit's relay of the story was true, she'd only gotten injured trying to protect her kits. She was a brave cat and because of her actions, Fogkit and Mistykit were safe. He let her lean all the weight she needed on his shoulder as he started a slow and painful walk back towards the camp. It was lucky that it wasn't too far away so that the walk wouldn't be too long and strenuous. He could feel the tenseness of Willowstorm's muscles against him, and he was even more determined to get safely back to camp. We'll have to get her straight to the medicine cat den, he thought to himself, hopefully Littlepaw isn't busy. He'd seen the apprentice medicine cat earlier before leaving, so he figured he'd be readily available.
Mistykit trailed beside Fogkit, her head down, tail down. Her wet pelt clung to her small body, making her appear smalller and more fragile than she already was. She merely nodded to Fogkit, unlike her usual talkative self. She couldn't muster the strength, she could only drag her paws along the ground and tremble.
Jackdawstar felt relieved at the camp came into view, but felt his heart sink again when he saw Kestrelclaw - standing strong and tall and looking around - presumably for his mate and kits.

The wall back to camp was painfully slow with Willowstorm hopping along on three legs and there was no conversation among the four cats as they made their way back home. She hadn't even looked towards her kits during the walk, not wanting to see how miserable the pair looked. Despite all the pain she was in, she still hated seeing her kits so upset. She was putting more and more weight on Jackdawstar as they approached camp, but she knew the leader wouldn't mind. Fogkit stayed close to Mistykit, as if trying to offer her some kind of support. He knew that neither of them would be over this by the time they reached camp, but he could only hope that everything would go back to normal soon. Or maybe this was just some kind of horrible nightmare and he'd wake up soon curled next to his mother and sister. Fogkit's eyes landed on Kestrelclaw and he sped up, colliding with the much larger cat. He had expected to say something to his father, but all of his words were lost as he looked up at Kestrelclaw and saw the images of Willowstorm being thrown around by the dog. Willowstorm finally raised her eyes as they reached camp, and she felt her heart stop when she spotted Kestrelclaw. She wanted to curl up next to her mate and forget about everything, but she knew that wasn't an option. Jackdawstar would want to get her straight to the medicine den to see what could be done about her leg. So she didn't say anything to her mate, and instead let her gaze fall to the dirt beneath her paws as she leaned more heavily on Jackdawstar. aether

DarkpawDarkpaw ruffled his fur, having disheveled it during his run from the goose. βI only do that because I have to,β he admitted. βI mean- I really only did it here because of that instinct I have- but if I were to run from what scares me Iβd be more shunned than I already am. The only cats I know for certain that are fine with me are my sister, my mother (although sheβs a bit overbearing on it), and Pantherfang- and even then Pantherfang kind of scares me.β A chill ran down his spine as he remembered the crusted, glazed eyes that signifies why Pantherfang had placed herself in the Medicine catβs den. He loved her, she was his family- but he had to admit he had no idea how her patients could relax with her nearby. βIf I wasnβt under stress Iβd probably run. I donβt know where or why, but I would run like the ground was made of coals. Iβm only βbraveβ because I like my scrap of a reputation and my Clan enough.β He wanted to chew up his own tongue after his little rant against nobody in particular- he felt he was making himself much too vulnerable. Shaking his fur a final time, he attempted to focus on the geese, but it became harder than it was before.
(If you need Pantherfang for the Willowstorm rp just let me know!)

JACKDAWSTAR, MISTYKIT, KESTRELCLAW | Camp | Willowstorm, Fogkit .
Jackdawstar looked to Kestrelclaw as they neared. The fuzzy white tom first looked confused, his ears perked and his tail straight, then his face began to fill with emotion. He almost didn't notice when Fogkit ran into his paws, followed by Mistykit. "What happened?" His voice was hoarse as his wide eyes watched his mate limp sadly on Jackdawstar's shoulder. He looked down to his two frightened kits, then bent down to give them both reassuring licks, "Are you two okay?" He asked softly.
Mistykit pushed her way into her fathers pelt, only working up the courage to murmur, "It was my fault..." She wanted to curl up and sleep in her mothers soft fur, but she couldn't do that.
Jackdawstar led Willowstorm straight to the medicine cat den, "Pantherfang, Littlepaw!" He called, "Willowstorm is badly injured!" He alerted them before he slowly let Willowstorm slip back to the ground. He was sure the walk would have been excruciating and exhausting for her.
[ @redheartofriverclan you can totally come in with pantherfang! willowstorm will have a permanently disabled leg from a dog fight :c ]
