that was a common mistake on all of my multiple accounts, funny enough
mass was pretty nice today, father kurtis gave a great homily. also, my church just finished construction on the mosaics for our dome so the whole congregation spent mass oggling at the ceiling xD

My dad was invited to preach at one very small country church (you know the like). I'm always happy for him when these opportunities arise, but as I'm sure you all understand, it's hard to be away from your home church. Especially when the pastor of this new church speaks so slowly it takes like thirty minutes for him to close the service, lol.

Hello all I'm back from a weekend camping trip.
I'm sure someone already posted about it, but please pray for the victims of the New York bombing, which I just learned about upon my return to civilization.

So there's this guy I know. I knew him way back in elementary school. Cool dude. When I joined Boy Scouts in sixth grade, he was in the same troop as me. He was one of my best friends for years. But around two or three years ago, something started to change in him. He became super arrogant and basically turned into a jerk. He became that sort of super-charismatic guy who's slick and smooth and who everyone loves, but is incredibly arrogant and cocky, and is just plain awful to people who he seems to considers "lower" than him- in a passive-aggressive way, of course, where he's friendly for a while and then turns vicious, and then goes "lol i was joking bro" and goes back to being friendly, and so on. He turned on me, too, and although I did my best to remain amiable, I wound up intensely disliking him. To my relief, he eventually left the troop, and last I heard he was... I don't really know how to put this, but he's living the worldly high school life, I guess- being the "alpha male" of the school, constantly switching between girls, and generally being as arrogant and awful as ever. The worst part of this is that he's a Christian- or at least he says he is, I don't know his heart- and is attending a Christian school. So I ask two things: (a) that you would pray for God to remove the animosity I have toward him away from me, and ( that he comes to his senses, turns back toward Jesus, and becomes the great guy he used to be. Thank you.

Thank you. I'm sorry this sort of thing has happened to you too. It really sucks seeing a friend fall so far, and it sucks even more to start despising a person you once loved because of how radically they've changed.

So could I ask for some prayer? I'm having my first precalc test tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous. I've reviewed the topics and most of them I'm good on, but I'm always anxious with tests. I also have been struggling a bit with Chem so I'd like prayer for that as well. Thanks so much guys. Also, welcome slowdive!
