[Does anyone have any advice? I'm trying to bring my friend to Christ... She is Hindi and recently started college. She has a bunch of family issues back home and has had a rough couple of months; from breaking up with her boyfriend to family problems. I have already talked to my church pastor about it and gave me a good book recommendation. I was planning on sending her a teen devotional book and perhaps a copy of the new living translation... Anybody else have any thoughts here?]

Anybody else have any thoughts here?] Hey, for one that's great that your trying to bring your friend to Christ. Another thing, Im not sure about giving her a book. Perhaps start off asking her about her religion. Show that you have an interest in learning about it, as it will give you another perspective of how people see the world. If you show that you have interest, and she begins telling you about it, then I would suggest bringing up what you believe and see if she is interested. You both learn different perspectives and will probably appreciate each other more later on even if she doesn't begin to follow Christ.

Live your faith. The greatest witness to anyone is the fruit that you bear. Flameflicker's advice was good, too. Talk to her about her religion as well. I'm sure she'd love to discuss it.

[ Well, she's very open to me and my faith. She already knows who God and Jesus are and what Jesus did for us. And she's away at college, that's why I can't bring her to a service. :/ ]

Well with this new information we could come up with something. The book now does seem like a good idea. Probably contact her first, and ask if she wants to learn more. It's just an idea.

Well, I asked her if she's interested in learning about Christ and such and she said yes.

Yo so about that Bible study we discussed way back on page 24. I'm still thinking we go with Romans, and read, idk, one chapter a week and then discuss it? Should we have a version that we all agree to read from, e.g. KJV or ESV? Please throw out any suggestions, I'm trying to work this plan out.

I like both the KJV and ESV, as well as NASB. Could we make a poll?

I've been meaning to change my name and avvie but I'm not too sure what too I'm too attached to mine. I've had the same screen name for three years and I've never disliked it. Although I've been changing my avvie frequently.

the problem is that none of the bibles in the poll are catholic, and i only have catholic bibles around my house....i don't think it affects Romans at all except in specific wording as per usual between versions, so just to warn y'all
