This is kind of dumb, but I might be using Uber for the first time tonight, so please pray that I don’t get murdered or something.

ubers are pretty darn safe. they do background checks and everything.

i mean i know it's not 100% safe, but again, ubers are fairly safe modes of transportation in general. far safer than taxis, trains, or buses.

also!!! good news about my teeth!
ive been to three different orthodontist now to get three separate opinions, the third guy being today. i went in hoping that he'd tell me i'm a candidate for lingual braces (where the brackets go on the back of your teeth), because he's the only ortho nearby that offers them since they're somewhat new and rare. im super self-conscious about my teeth, the only self-esteem issue i have, and the idea of putting clunky braces on them has been horrifying. it's not like middle or high school when everyone has them. with lingual braces, at least they'd be hidden from sight.
imagine my joy and surprise at being told i actually can get invisalign. in the past, i've been told by a few different sources that they only work well for minor corrections, and with my impacted tooth they weren't an option. too much movement. this orthodontist has been at it since the 90s and apparently has been using invisalign since it came out originally in the 90s. he said the issue is that a lot of people don't use them correctly; for one, they require patient compliance, and if the client doesn't wear them 24/7 like they're supposed to then they don't work as well. for another, while the trays are computer designed and thus without error, if the details are inputted wrong or the designers mess up, then you have issues.
this is excellent news for me. not only because aesthetics, but also because it will be WAY less hassle with my study abroad semester. part of the problem is that sophomores spend a semester in Rome; meaning (a) i suffer with trying to take care of braces in a foreign land, or (b ) i wait until afterwards, which i did not want to do. invisalign only requires you to go in every 3 months. so before i would leave i'd get a new batch, then, while in rome (4 months), i could just continue to wear my last tray consistently until i got back to just "pause" the process until i could get new ones. so no biggie.
in fact, the doctor thinks we could probably get me finished up before i go (16 months). which would be even better.
so yeah. basically i dont know how to communicate how happy this makes me. it's a huge weight off my chest-- this wild goose chase of figuring out braces has been going on since spring, and now it seems like i finally have a plan of execution that was much better than i could have hoped for.
(the best part is that he charges the same for invisalign as he does metal braces, which is average, so it's not even gonna cost us extra or anything.) (he also said that worse case scenario, something isn't quite fixed all the way, and he'll put on some metal brackets for a few months at the end or when i'd get back from abroad)

Well, I ended up not having to use an Uber last night, so that experience has been put off for a while. Thanks for the prayers.

she's dead. i can't stop crying. i don't understand what happened. she was fine one second, and then the next she started acting funny. she was still eating, drinking, and walking around like normal except she was just lethargic and slow. when i woke up this morning she was dead. my dad is going to be so crushed. he told me to make sure nothing happens to her. i tried so hard to save her. i really thought for a second that she would be okay, because at times she would perk up and start to act normal but i guess not. i really hoped that she would hang in there until my grandma gets home next week so that we could take her to a vet but she died before we could.
i'm just so sad and confused.

My rabbit died the same way. There's nothing that you or the vet could have done :[ I'm sorry

I slept 16 hours my family thought I died This once happened with me and my roommate . She slept until like freaking 2 pm and I was like "Oh no... what if she's dead! WHATDOIDO???" So I like, opened the curtains to let in all the sun and she stirred and I was like "phew"
