Let my pick which parts I want to follow, mmk, swwaty?

I just love this conversation going on. xD
And @galganigem, I don't think I'm good at organic chemistry, unfortunately.

Once upon a time, I chose to take high school physics because I thought it would be fun.
That. . . sort of ended well? I hardly remember it! xD

I've never taken a physics class unless you count a semester of physics foundations in my freshman year of high school?
Idk I like biology but not chemistry and not all parts of biology. I don't like the cell stuff, but like the body stuff I guess? Kinda goes along with the vet/PA stuff? XD

Yes! Hi! Idk I'm still trying to decide and so I figured I'd major in bio to give me more time to think? I keep going between the two and I just wanna choose one. If I go PA I hope to work in urgent care and if I go vet I hope to be an equine vet

Bio is a good way to go! I'm a bio major too.
as for how hard is organic....well it's hard to compare because it's completely different. I don't even think we've done like any math at all so far and we're almost to mid semester. A lot of it seems to be memorizing rules and applying the rules to naming compounds. We've done a lot of naming so far and a lot of figuring out what ways compounds can and can't be organized.

I'm taking organic chemistry right now. struggling with it but i might be able to help? Eyyyy my fellow sister in torment! Regarding chair confirmations, does it matter in what place you start ordering the atoms? Ex: theres two cis-flouro atoms and you decide not to put the first one at the head of the chair? Does that make sense?

I wanted to take bio this semester but couldn't cause I didn't have my AP bio score back and I also wanted to take animal bio but the only time it was offered didn't work Ugh chemistry is the only class I'm struggling with and I guess it's mostly the math cause we've been doing the math heavy stuff. Lots of calculations I don't like chemistry

How bad is organic Chem compared to like a basic general Chem class? It really depends on the teacher and school but you usually get a worse class average on tests in Organic. Some say it's easier than gen chem and others say it's harder. Personally I didn't think gen chem was that hard, it took a lot of studying though. And I think Im studying less for organic chem. It's either you get it or you don't for O chem I guess. And most of us don't get it xD

Does that make sense? Okay so like you have the carbon chair, right? And you only have two cis atoms attached to the chair and you wanted to put it either at the head or feet? is that kinda what you mean? if so, i dont think it matters? As long as both the atoms are cis. Since the chair represents a ring sort of shape, it wouldn't really matter i think

But also I felt a lot better when I found out most of the class is struggling except for this really cute guy (and a few others) that get it...

Lots of calculations I don't like chemistry well my advice is just to take it as it comes. focus on what you have right now and worry about the rest when it comes. Easier said than done haha yeah i hate chemistry too. it's not fun for me because im horrible at math but i did manage to pull through so if i managed to get through, you'll definitely be able to.

No problem! I hope i didnt screw anything up xDDD
ugh i wish i could stop procrastinating and focus better but that's like my biggest issue. I'm sure I could do much better in my classes if i was organized and could focus. tho my organic lab im doing really good in but only because im good at writing up labs lol

I'm just really glad I'm living at home before transferring away to a better school

. trust me, gen chem made me feel stupid too lol. I'm basically in the same situation as you. Did amazing in high school, started college and became average. There's a lot fo factors that determine grades in college, not just necessarily you. For both paths you want, it's likely you'll have to take the same basic classes: bio, gen chem, organic chem, physics, biochem, calculus, and then the filler stuff. So just really worry about the main ones you need and the rest will just be filler @galganigem ew quizzes every week? ugh that's awfullllll. We have homework assignments every week and then our lab reports every week and a final at the end and that's it
