ahhh so I guess I don't have to worry too much about tattoos Nope. I plan on getting my first one (I want six) the weekend I turn 18. ahh sweet!!! I love tattoos lol. I wanted my first a couple months ago for my birthday but it was the first time I brought it up to my mom. My dad's ok with it but my mom is still kinda weird about it. So I'll probably like wait until I get my associates and graduate college to get my first and let the news sink in for my mom xD I have 3 planned but I have a feeling i may want more lol

She was a lil disgruntled when I told her about my plans, but I think she'll end up liking them anyway (I plan to keep them tiny and have two in mind related to my faith).

Hey guys! The missionary I asked for prayer got the medical attention he needed and is now back home with his family. He's still in pain but he's in much better shape:)
Thank you for praying! But as always (unfortunately) I have one last request.
After I came out to sister in law and she told my brother. I informed her that I am disappointed and angry and she threw it back iny face and told me she was going to bury me. She also told me that I was going to destroy my family by experimenting at an inappropriate time. Please pray for grace amd wisdom and for me to stay calm

I want a small, simple cross tattoo on one wrist ( to this effect); and the word 'tetelestai' ("It is finished" - Jesus's last words on the cross) either on the opposite wrist in the original Greek, or on my collarbone in this cute script. Not sure which yet.

And prayers for you, still. I'm so sorry your sister-in-law is reacting this way... telling you she's going to 'bury you' is very concerning. Do you have a pastor or priest you can talk to?

Wew ok what'd I miss On the mark of the beast: All we know about is that it will be a mark on the right hand or forehead that is required to buy and sell (and also that you're royally screwed if you take it, to put it lightly). Could just be a tattoo showing one's loyalty to the Antichrist that is required to move about freely in the world of the end times, or it could be a microchip that has all of one's financial data stored on it. There's been a lot of talk about the latter in recent years (by both secular scientists and Christians) because we do seem to be moving toward a complete digitalization of money in that way, so the microchip thing honestly seems extremely plausible to me. On tattoos: I see nothing wrong with them. The "don't mark your body" thing is an Old Testament law for Israel specifically. You just gotta be careful, because tattoos are permanent. And as I said, idk if the mark of the beast will be an implant or a tattoo or both (I personally think it's that last one), but I do believe that you won't be able to "accidentally" take it. The mark will be a clear sign of allegiance to Antichrist, and while those who take it may not understand all of the ramifications of it, they will know exactly what they're doing: pledging their loyalty and worship to whoever the Antichrist is. So I don't think tattoos and even certain implants are harmful; the Antichrist has not yet risen to power, and there's no risk of "accidentally" taking the mark. On the LGBT article: that's a great article, thanks for sharing! The Green Writer: Glad to hear he's ok! That really sucks about your sister in law though. Will continue to pray.

Kind of random, but what's everyone's opinion on tattoos? Do you support them, dislike them, etc.?
Personally, I don't support/like tattoos. It's already been said somewhere in the Bible (I forget where) that we shouldn't mark our body. And anyways, my thought is that if God wanted me to have ink inside my body, he'd make me an octopus.
I do have to admit, though, tattoo artists can be amazing at their jobs. It's fantastic how detailed people can make them. I asked a priest about this once. It depends. The command in the Bible not to purposely mark/mar your body in relation to tattoos was mostly a warning against taking tribal tattoos or symbols. However, there are times when tattoos can be a positive influence. For instance, someone with a cross/crucifix. Or when a soldier gets an im memoriam tattoo to honor his dead comrades. Generally, tattoos I would say violate God's creations except in certain situations.
On a personal level I'm really against them. I have a bad habit of being pretty judgemental of people with lots of tattoos. I think they generally look ugly and the idea has 0 appeal to me.

This was me until this past year. What changed your mind? Some tattoos I don't find ugly, but I've never thought of them at being pretty or cute. Just sorta indifferent to them, at best.

The thought of expressing something dear and meaningful to me in a permanent and artistic manner. I'm still not too keen on bigger tattoos (or sleeves, etc.), though I do find some of them to be really pretty. I'm a bit art buff, though, so that probably helps. Every tattoo I plan to get has a story and reason behind it, and while I know that some people just get tattoos for the aesthetic value, I would encourage anyone (especially Christians) to put great thought into what they're going to have tattooed onto them.

Personally I'm pretty indifferent to people who have a few tattoos, but I hate it when people cover their entire frickin bodies with 'em and would very strongly advise against it. Their choice though

It's probably because I was raised in a very traditional home, where such things were frowned upon. So I've never understood the sentiment behind them. Then again, I've also never agreed with dying hair.

I have some pretty deep meanings behind the ones I want and I think that it's important for them to have meaning or you shouldn't get them. But I mean I guess it is your body so you do whatever xD I'm too scared to dye my hair, I've heard all about the bad things it does to your hair xD

I'm lucky, as I have very thick, full hair, and the dye/bleach does not bother it; even so, dyeing should be done by a professional. Store-bought dyes are generally not good for your hair. Plus, they'll be able to determine whether or not what you plan to do will be too much for your hair. I'm doing brown-to-blonde ombre next time.

My school's on lockdown. I left early, but everyone else is stuck there (five minutes from the end of the day, no less :/). All I know is that something's happening at a shopping complex near it. Can you guys please pray that whatever's happening gets resolved and that everyone stays safe?

Thanks guys for the prayer. I haven't been able to talk to my pastor due to the fact that he is also homophobic. So even if I went to him, he'll be biased and ultimately agree with most of her words. Praying Splintercat. Hopefully everything will resolve peacefully

Ok, so far all I can find out is that there's a guy running around with a knife in a neighborhood near the school (no shopping centers involved; I just misunderstood something). I've searched local police scanners and found nothing, so idk. At least the guy doesn't have a gun. Thanks for your prayers, all of you, and keep praying!

I'd like to die it scarlet red or ginger at some point, but idk if it's too dark. It's like a medium brown and I'd definitely not want to have to bleach it. But idk. ooh sounds pretty!

Now we get to go because my amazing dad fixed it for me on his only day where he got home from work early. So we can go to Nashville sayirdau AND tomorrow is my last day of work for two weeks. Yay fall break!
