The grey she-kit tossed and turned next to her mother Fawnsong, attempting to find the comfortable spot she had lost when the rest of her den-mates tumbled out of the den at full-speed. She and the rest of the kits had all been born not too far apart, making them all almost like litter-mates - at least that was how Foxkit felt - for all she knew they could be rivaling enemies, but her sweet and innocent nature made the world out to be much less dangerous than it was. "Where are they all going? Don't they want to stay and play with Fawnsong's tail?" she thought, baffled.

• Rowanpaw • Apprentice • Camp • Rainshimmer // @bumblestripe
Rowanpaw turned his head slightly to look at Littlepaw expectedly, but she then spotted her own mentor and bounded over to the other cat. Rowanpaw turned back towards Rainshimmer, not too pertubed at the idea of training alone. "I suppose that's out of the picture," He meowed rationally. "So, will it be hunting, or battling?" His tail twitched in barely contained excitement and his eyes showed his eagerness. He needed to be absolutely perfect for his warrior ceremony, if he ever wanted to be the greatest cat the clan had seen.

Fawnsong
Purring at her kit's wiggling movements, the she-cat licked the top of her head in a loving, motherly gesture. The other kits had left the cozy den in wondering excitement, Wolfkit included, though she trusted Dappledblossom to keep a keen eye on her it. Foxkit had chosen to stay in the den with her and keep her company, and Fawnsong affectionately wrapped her tail around her kit, attempting to help her get more comfortable by cushioning the small kitten with her tail.

The tom bounced along happily next to his den-mates, Splashkit's apology for his behavior going over his head. "You're right!" Featherkit exclaimed with a squeak, his eyes lighting up with eagerness to show off his white paws and big leaps to his father. "Twistedfoot must not be that important if he has time to visit you," the tom snorted at Wolfkit, shrugging as he pounced off towards the large tom he had been eyeing. The tom stood tall and sturdy like an old tree and the words coming out of his mouth were smooth and thoughtful. Everything about him said that he was aware of his surroundings and he had authority over all that he saw. Milkstar looked gravely into the distance, "Yes, we should talk Squirrelheart. I've been fearing something for the last moon and I know it's on the horizon," he explained in a low murmur to the medicine cat. "Quickly, lets -" the leader paused, well, more like he was knocked into by what felt like a small rock. Milkstar looked around confused, "Is this another vision?" He questioned himself, looking around wildly to see if his clan-mates were still there and that he didn't feel dry sand in his mouth. "Mousebrain," Milkstar thought to himself, rolling his eyes high as he noticed his kits and another queen's kit coming after him. The kits looked like balls of moss, fluffy and soft, with tiny eyes shining up at him. The tom winced, "Go back to your mother," he thought, not saying it aloud and rejecting them outright, instead Milkstar let out an exaggerated breath, "Sorry Squirrelheart," he began, looking at the kits, "I have some things to attend to kits," he explained as gently as he could in the moment, "don't bother the elders and get back to your mother before sundown," he briefly brushed each of their heads with his tail, quickly whisking it away and nodding to the medicine cat to follow him towards the medicine cat den.

She added as He began to walk towards the Medicine cat's den. "You haven't by chance had any visions lately have you?" She commented to him, hoping that he wouldn't confirm her own fears about the future on the horizon. She looked at the nursery as they passed and the dark dream flashed into her head, and Her dream flashed to her eyes again.

Splashkit had remained further back from her less then elegant elder brother, struck by awe as she watched the tom who seemed to be a thousand times larger then herself talk, and when her brother had bounded over she followed more nervously. The little kit seemed to light up when the tom brushed his tail over her, only to look down right dejected at what he said, and a frown lit her otherwise pretty face as she let out a quiet. “Oh.”
Nudging at her brother nervously, avoiding eye contact with her father at all costs, now instilled with terror about him. “Come on Featherkit, lets get back to mamma.” She squeaked.

"No!" Featherkit protested to his sister, disappointment in his eyes. "We haven't even seen anything yet," his words trailed off as he watched the big tom-cat pad off and disappear into some undiscovered den. "Follow me," the kit whispered to his tiny but mighty patrol, a mischievous smile on his face. Dropping down to his best stalking pose, Featherkit crept up beside the medicine cat den and hid his body in the ferns.

Milkstar took one glance back at his kits, "I'm sorry," he thought, "I have to protect the clan," he silently apologized to them, knowing that wasn't going to remedy anything between them or Dappledblossom but he didn't have time for much else. The tom padded briskly into the medicine cat den and took a seat near the back and finally directed his attention back to the medicine cat and nodded, "Yes Squirrelheart. I don't know what to think of them. Leaders don't usually get these kinds of visions - so why me? Are we really this doomed that our ancestors are seeking me out?" Milkstar looked out over his shoulder towards camp, and his clan-mates within, "It was so dry and hot Squirrelheart. I could feel sand in the back of my throat, as if I've been drinking the bottom of the lake. I was so thirsty," the tom shivered as he momentarily relived the experience.

Looking less then certain but scared of being left in camp by herself, Splashkit darted after her brother as quickly as her uncoordinated paws would allow her to go, skidding to a stop amongst the fern fronds beside him. Squeaking in surprise at their very new sensation against her fur, she hadn’t bee aware anything but her mother was capable of tickling her. “Featherkit,” she said with uncertainty plaguing her tone. “You’re going to get us into trouble.”

Sitting next to Milkstar, his words confirmed her worst fears. "The stars don't just talk to Medicine cats, Milkstar." She told him. "They speak to those who have a great responsibility, and being clan leader, you have a greater responsibility then all of us." She mewed with concern. "I.. I had a vision." She stuttered. "And what you just said confirmed it's truthfulness." Squirrelheart didn't know where to go from here. "That dry feeling, dry and hot, was from flames. The sand in your throat soot and ash." She choked on the words in fear. "I think our ancestors are trying to warn of us of something. In my vision, the camp was on fire, eminating from the nursery."

Wolfkit
Featherkit's words stung, but Wolfkit seemed totally unphased externally, his eyes simply narrowing in response. Internally, however, was a different story. He was offended, irritated by the lack of care in the other kit's words and tone, but at the same time he didn't want to start an argument with him. Wolfkit watched Milkstar and his kits interact, awkwardly shuffling his paws a short ways away. He was confused by Milkstar's dismissal of his den-mates, and watched as Milkstar quickly left.
Glancing at Featherkit, Wolfkit made a small sound of disapproval at the kit's mischievous plans. He's just trouble, the tabby thought, his blue-grey eyes flashing over to Featherkit's sister as he blinked in silent agreement with her. Featherkit was simply asking to get in trouble, but he decided to follow the other two anyways.

Looking to the tom with nerves darkening her amber eyes, she twitched her long tail from side to side in caution as she tried to figure out what in the name of starclan Featherkit was planning and how she could associate herself with the after effects of it as little as possible. Grinning a little to Wolfkit she said with a low tone of voice, “If mama asks you, I had nothing to do with this.”

True, he wanted to see Milkstar again. But if he and the medicine cats were talking about something particularly important, then they wouldn't be too excited about being interrupted. The kits could get in trouble. Galekit's whiskers quivered slightly as he shook his head. He didn't like trouble. He didn't want Featherkit, Splashkit, and Wolfkit to get into trouble either. "Are you sure this is a good idea? " He questioned tentatively, feeling a little foolish. "We could get into some pretty bad trouble. Milkstar- he doesn't want us, does he? There are more important things like his visions or whatever thoughts he has, but what about us ?" His green gaze wavered, as if he were to break down.

She made somewhat of an effort to stay silent enough and not scare away prey, but she couldn't help but notice that there was no prey. Nearby, at least. The thought was rather worrisome, for it spelled a harsh greenleaf. She would expect the waters to run lower and prey to vanish, but it wasn't a pleasant idea. She waited, still and silent for the fish to come forth. The warrior would have expected even the slightest shimmer of scales to appear by now.

Realizing how he may have sounded to Silversong, he tried to correct his tone and seem even a little less rude. "True, true, the kits are alrerady getting under every cat's paws. More mouths to feed. You're right, let's go stock up that pitiful prey pile. How about we hunt near the lake, maybe not exactly there as Tawnymask and her patrol is already there ."

[ thought I'd get some starters up, if anyone has some open characters feel free to hop in ] [ also sorry if I'm a little rusty at roleplaying lol, I haven't been in a Clan for years ] Iceheart | Woods outside of camp | Alone
The swift she-cat had been hiding above for hours it seemed. Her tail flicked back and forth silently while her sleek body lay pressed against a branch as she watched the world below. Normally her lightly colored fur would be shining through the dark woods, however, when she stayed above the thick leaves and pines was enough to keep her hidden. At times she would roll in mud to keep herself from being seen- as for hunting was her favorite hobby, but her white fur was her main giveaway to all prey. As soon as the sun reflected against her pelt, she was at loss and would hardly have any luck during the hunt unless she moved fast enough.
Her cold blue eyes darted around the forest floor in search for any type of movement. In the distance she could hear the murmuring of cats from camp, therefore perhaps no prey would be mouse-brained enough to come this close. Yet, all of a sudden she heard the small squeak of a mouse. Iceheart's claws dug into the bark beneath her as her jaws opened in an attempt to scent-out the prey, and she was in luck. Her eyes finally caught glimpse of the quick ball of brown fur and her ears flicked as it continued to squeak.
Foolish animal. The mouse had wandered it's way to the trunk of the tree where some acorns may have fallen- the prey needed its food. But, he was much too late, and it's life would not be spared. Iceheart's body moved swiftly, from a standing motion to leaping down a few feet. The mouse was not fast enough for her speed, and as she landed right on it she quickly dug her fangs into its small neck- killing it in an instant. Her tail flicked joyfully as she began to dig into the dirt below the trunk of the tree. Fogpaw | Camp | Alone
The young tom had been wandering about in the camp all morning. He'd stop to chat with a few cats as they would awake, however he knew he wasn't in any authority to go out on his own right now. He sat near the apprentice's den with his long fluffed tail laying across his paws. He was in search for his mentor, Eaglestrike. Fogpaw had hoped they would do something interesting today, perhaps some battle training or even a border patrol. Sooner or later, the apprentice would just explode in energy as for he wanted to constantly explore. He began to push the pads of his paws into the ground below as he awaited something interesting. He thought about leaving to hunt with a few cats, but many have already left for the day and would hopefully be bring a pile of prey in return. Fogpaw couldn't help but feel a little disappointed to be 'trapped' inside the camp, but he knew he would have to wait patiently to get what he wanted. A leaf flew by his face as a small breeze passed through, and he couldn't help but feel adreniline pulse through his body. It was almost like this tom could never stop moving about. He speedily, but somewhat clumsily snatched the leaf with his paw and began to prod at it as it laid on the ground. He gave it a sniff, then attempted to bite it, but instead he could a moutful of dirt from the ground which resulted in a sneeze and a cough. Fogpaw let out a long sigh. I'm so bored.Lionclaw | Camp | Alone The older tom padded out of the warriors den with a scowl on his face. He had slept in this morning due to having nightmares the during the night, therefore hardly getting any sleep. The fact that one of the other senior warriors had been snoring sure didn't help either. His long marbled fur seemed to be sticking out all around him- making him appear to be a lot more angry and intimading than usual. His powerful shoulders clenched with every step he took- he felt sore, which perhaps came with age, but that still didn't stop him from getting things done.
Lionclaw had hoped to get with a couple cats to go out on a border patrol, however it seemed as if a handful of them had already left. This is what I get for having a terrible sleep, nothing to do. Due to the fact he didn't have an apprentice at the moment, it somewhat left Lionclaw bored as for he had no one to annoy (or order around). He decided to give his legs a quick stretch while walking around the camp to see what cats were still around, and if he couldn't find anything to do here he might as well leave on his own as soon as possible.

[ Might as well put some starters up myself c: We can rp Eaglestrike and Fogpaw ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ ^^ ]
ASHFEATHER | Warriors' Den | Alone
Ashfeather lay curled up comfortably in her nest, her long tail wrapping around to lie just in front of her nose. Every so often, her ears or tail would twitch, and slight movements could be seen under her eyelids; she was dreaming. The increasing activity within camp, however, along with what seemed to be the loud and excited mews of kits, soon woke her from her slumber. Blinking her eyes sleepily, she inwardly sighed at her sleep having been disrupted - she had been having such a good dream too! But there was work to be done, and she slowly got to her paws.
Stretching herself out, her limbs aching from having remained in the same position for so long, she made her way out of the warriors den. She was careful not to disturb any of the other sleeping cats, knowing that many of the senior warriors were always grumpy without a good sleep and that some of those cats must have also been on the dawn patrol. Stepping out of the entrance, the bright sunlight blinded her for a second, and it took a second or two for her eyes to adjust to the glare. She gave a quick nod to Lionclaw, not eager to engage in conversation with anyone, before scanning the camp, looking for any task to do.
CHERRYWHISPER | The Lake | Alone Cherrywhisper sat at the edge of the lake closet to camp, one of her paws dipping into the water experimentally. The cool temperature sent a slight shiver down her spine, but she found that the longer her paw remained in their, the less cold and more refreshing the water seemed to become. She was bored - she had planned to go out fishing, but she hadn't spied any fish in the surrounding waters. She hadn't thought to ask anyone out with her either, too shy to approach many of the other warriors and not wanting to intrude on their day. As a result, she had to content herself with watching the ripples extend from her paw. The sun above her reflected its light off the waters around her, the light rather blinding if she looked at it directly and for too long. The day was promising to be a hot one, so the coolness of the water was actually a welcome relief. Her only worry was the lack of fish - but perhaps she was just rather unlucky today.
EAGLESTRIKE | Camp | Fogpaw Eaglestrike padded into camp after having had a quick walk around its edges. He had always enjoyed a morning walk around the Willowclan camp ever since he had become a warrior; it allowed him to see what everyone was getting up to that morning, as well as check to see that the camp was safe and secure. He took his responsibility as a warrior seriously, and this short walk always calmed him for the day ahead. Now, padding back into camp, he felt composed and ready for whatever activities the day brought him. His eyes did a quick scan of the camp and almost immediately found Fogpaw, sitting in front of the apprentices' den. The young tom seemed bored, and Eaglestrike watched as the apprentice took what looked like a mouthful of dirt, somewhat amused by his antics. But Eaglestrike had planned to take him out today, so he went over to put Fogpaw out of his misery. "Now, what ever did that leaf do to you?" he asked with some amusement glinting in his eyes, seeing what Fogpaw's jaws had been aiming for as he grew closer. ( ᴘᴏʟʏᴏɴʏᴍᴏᴜꜱ)
CLOUDHEART | Camp | Alone Cloudheart lounged about lazily outside the Elders' den, enjoying the sunlight on his back. He had woken up with his legs feeling stiffer than usual today, but he made no complaints; it wasn't like he was going to be putting them to much use today anyway. That, and there was no one around to complain to. He enjoyed these sunny, greenleaf days though. The sun always seemed to breathe life into the forest, and its bright life seemed to illuminate even the darkest of places.
KESTRELKIT | The Nursery | Fawnsong, Foxkit Kestrelkit stirred from her nap, having fallen asleep in the corner of the nursery, close to where Fawnsong and her daughter lay. She felt somewhat out of place now that all the kits had arrived, though she made sure not to show it to anyone. After all, she was the eldest around here, which should mean that she was the boss! She wondered over to Fawnsong, pushing her head into the she-cat's side affectionately. She had grown fond of her foster mother, and was so grateful for having been taken in. "Where did everyone else go?" Kestrelkit meowed sleepily, blinking up at Fawnsong, having only just registered how empty the nursery seemed without everyone there. If they were going on an adventure, then she wanted to join! ( 𝚌𝚊𝚛'𝚊'𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚗)

[ ashfeather alright, great! pls excuse some inactivity during the daytime, I do have classes to go to ] Fogpaw | Camp | with Eaglestrike
Fogpaw's ears has immediately perked up at the sound of his mentor's voice, and he couldn't help but rise to his feet and pad over while happily flicking his tail. However, his ears grew hot as he heard what his mentor had said. I had hoped nobody saw that... He sat in front of his mentor before giving a reply.
"Well, it flew right into my face after all. I thought I'd teach it who's boss..." His voice trailed off with slight embarrassment, however, a second later the tom immediately perked up again. "Is there any plans for today, Eaglestrike? Like a border patrol, or even training? I really, really, really need to stretch my legs a little." The young tom babbled off as his excitement grew- he loved exploring the territory after all. Fogpaw could already feel his paws kneading into the ground below him as he awaited a reply.

Her mother's warmth enveloped her and warmed her from her nose to her paws, a feeling that was too comfortable for her to consider giving away in that moment. "You don't have to leave us yet, right?" Foxkit asked, poking her head up from her mother's side, looking up at Fawnsong with a nervous flicker in her eyes. The kit was young but knew full well that queens were not always queens, and that her mother was a brave and strong warrior like the rest of her clan-mates. Foxkit looked over at Kestrelkit as well, breaking her line of thought for a moment, "They're off making trouble," she told Kestrelkit, knowing her den-mates they had probably sneaked out of camp by now and fallen in the lake.

Although Featherkit felt crushed that the tom he had had high hopes of meeting was busy, the little pride he had left still buzzed inside of him that his father was so important - the only thing that kept him from feeling truly unloved and defeated. "Of course he wants us Galekit," the tom replied, though there was little confidence in his voice, "He's just .. he's busy," Featherkit whispered, but as he spoke his shoulders sunk and the adventurous desire he had felt to eavesdrop left him, "Splashkit was right, let's just get back to Dappledblossom," his white tail that had been held so high in the air up until this point faltered and he nudged past Wolfkit, "Sorry about what I said earlier," he directed his apology towards the other kit.

Milkstar gulped, not meeting Squirrelheart's gaze and keeping his eyes on the clan outside of the den. "A fire too?" he thought, doubt streaking across his face, "Not even Sparrowpelt has experienced such disaster in his seasons. There's no way that these visions are true - I won't believe them for a second longer. Our ancestors have clearly become fox-brained," the tom rationalized to himself, a new look of anger in his eyes. If they had survived seasons without destruction, they would continue to do so and thrive under his leadership. Milkstar would not give in so easily to some silly visions, "We must have both eaten something bad - I'll have to inspect prey now once it is brought in," the thought. "Thank you Squirrelheart but I think I know everything that I need to. Do not discuss these daydreams with any other cat, I wouldn't want to send the Clan into a panic," he instructs her.

It surprised Splashkit to see her brother so dejected, a sight she had never seen on the usually confident and boisterous tom. The shecat resisted the urge to press close to him in comfort, as she had seen her mother do many a time when one of them had managed to injure themselves. She said with a quiet, nervous voice, "I'm sure we'll get to meet him another time," she said, trying to sound positive and optimistic but even her voice seemed to falter. Her eyes on her black paws and wavering. "We could explore the warriors den?" she offered, hating to see her brother upset.
