He still had three good lives left, but the toll of losing a life was greater than Hazelpaw could imagine, and Adderstar still needed to continue leading his clan for many more moons. Adderstar let out a long sigh and nodded in agreement. He finished the rest of his catmint-spiked mouse in silence as he thought over what his duties were for the day. Alligatorsnap was going to arrange the patrols needed so that was one thing off of his list. The first thing he would have to deal with was assigning Vireopaw a new mentor since his last one had deserted the clan during the last few weeks of leaf-fall. "Get Alligatorsnap for me," he ordered Hazelpaw, all signs of his previous kindness gone. |
