I feel like canonically Tadpole never learned a single thing about his father, but I also can't imagine Sasha would have said literally zero things about him. (I'm pretty sure she still thought Tigerstar was alive until basically just before Tadpole's death?) So I think it's reasonable for him to have an image of his father something along the lines of "he's very brave and lives in the woods, but his life would be very dangerous for us."

oh cool! I always liked book one more than book two, but it's definitely a case where you don't need to read book one to follow the plot of book two

I bought book one but have yet to read it. Book 2 was awesome though.  I loved Holly. (Was her name Holly? She seemed very similar to Hollyleaf's little plot, so if I got it wrong WHOOPS.) |

Same with me and PtS. At this point I'm not sure if I'm 3/4ths through or only 2/4ths. I know what I want to add, but some bits are going faster and others slower than expected.
No matter the pacing it still seems enjoyable. ^^
