I can't actually remember what the third thing was all those years ago, but I guess this works.
I couldn't find my copy of the third Ravenpaw book to make sure this scene worked with canon. I remember that ThunderClan comes and drives out Willie's gang (and Brightheart tells the kits not to get involved in the fight), and Jumper and Hoot show up and ask for Barley's protection, but then they're still huge jerks, so eventually Barley and Ravenpaw chase them away.
I guess I'll just say that if there's an inconsistency it's all Willie's fault for being wrong and totally not mine for writing him that way.
