Inside the spoiler is something where I declare something "canon" that you can feel free to disregard since, as of now, I don't plan for it to come up in the story (so, like, Death of the Author and all):

I chose Shadepelt of RiverClan to kill Lynn's mother (Rogue) because that was literally the only name in the allegiances of TDH that I didn't recognize.

In the original, Lynn was the daughter of Brick and Bone.  While that did help to explain her attitude toward other cats much older than her (I mean, ordering around Snipe!?), I thought it was a little too...convenient in a fanfictiony way.

Something that I (hopefully) implied (don't know if I did a good job of it) is that Lynn is the oldest of the trainees (with the caveat that I don't know when Tadpole was born so he might be older, but he's new to BloodClan so it doesn't really change anything either way).

...Also I may have changed a certain line of dialogue on page 43 because whoooooops I forgot my Warriors terminology.

to be fair, most of it is me scrambling to justify things I thought were cool in seventh grade
