Stephen smiled slightly. "Thanks Annalise." He sighed and rubbed his jaw. "I just… I think there's going to be a rebellion. And I don't know which side to take." He lowered his voice. "I don't even want to take sides."

"Honestly, I'm actually kind of scared. But not for me." He took her face in his hands and looked at her sincerely. "If there's a rebellion, I don't want you caught in the crossfire."

(okay...well do you want me to bump her age down a year then?)

Annaliese nodded, taking his words in. "I think so too," she sighed, fiddling with the pages of her book. "I can't take sides, you know? Part of me just wants to live my own life, open up a bakery or a small restaurant, not always worrying about the king, and the other part of me is too scared to risk it. It depends on what you want. To stay safe, or risk it for freedom," she paused, "if a rebellion even happens."

Frey rolled over in the stiff inn bed the next morning, deciding while even though it was a very uncomfortable bed, he'd sleep in a bit longer. He stayed til almost noon until he was too hungry to stay for another hour, and got up. He'd have to give his room key back by noon anyway, pulling on his coat he walked downstairs and gave her the key. He had a quick meal at the inn before heading to one of the more upper class market corners, tempted to take more of a risk to get some more coin.

Kenna blushed as he touched her face and put her hand over his, “I’ll be alright,” she said with a soft smile. “I’ve had more excitement here in one day than I have in my whole life!” she said with a laugh, trying to make light of the situation. “Besides, I’ve got you to protect me, right?” she added, wiggling her eyebrows at him expectantly.

Annaliese grinned softly. "Aw, thank you, Stephen. It'll take a lot of hard work though," she said, looking up at him. "So besides guarding, what do you like to do? Surely standing here all day can't be the most pleasant." 

Jackson grinned and pulled her in close. "Of course."

"Technically I'm a warrior, head warrior, in fact, but I was put on guard duty. But we haven't had many battles lately, so there isn't much to do. I've been strengthening my wings, mostly." Stephen smiled. "What were you going into the city for?"

Frey didn't see any guards around as he walked into the richer areas of the city. He followed two wealthier looking women just for a couple moments as not to seem too suspicious. He memorized the path they were headed and went down and alley and around a back street to cut them off. He walked out in front of them as they were turning the street corner and bumped into one of the girls. "Sorry, my bad." he said quickly. They both gave him a scared look and hurried off. He'd snagged one of their coinpurses without them noticing and descretely tucked it into his pocket before he started to walk on until he stepped on something that crunched under his boot. He looked down to see a bracelet dropped by one of the girls. The chain-linking had been bent and some of the glass beads were cracked but the gemstones in it were still in tact. He kept it hidden under his foot for a moment while he checked for guards before picking it up, with no intentions of returning it to the girls.

((But yeah i dont care if theyre twins or not. shrug emoji to me its just kids born the same day, so i dont see anything good or bad about it except that i have to change Alex's age, which i dont care too much about anyway lol, hes pretty boyish ))
