Welcome to AsterClan! Here we honor the fierce and the kind, the brave, the cunning, and the creative. Welcome to the clan!

It’s been days since you’ve last eaten, and you stumble across something that looks like a tunnel into a hidden den of some sort. Desperate for a safe place to rest, and too tired to notice the scents of the other cats, you push your way inside. Once you get through, you realize that you’re not alone. Dozens of other cats are busy, and when you next look in front of you, you see a fierce looking she-cat standing in front of you.
“Welcome traveler. I am AsterStar, and this is my clan. You look tired. You may rest here, if you would like.” Her tail flicks back and forth. “We will cause you no harm, as long as you do not give us a reason to. Who knows, maybe you’ll decide to stay with us. We are always looking for new members” Another cat, a tom, walks over to you and the she-cat. “My warrior here will show you around and make sure you eat. Come and find me if you have any questions” The she-cat pads away, leaving you with the tom.
Territory
AsterClan is located in a large forest mostly of large pine and oak trees. There is also a river with a very powerful waterfall. The area around the waterfall is good for collecting herbs and such. There is a clearing in the trees not far from camp where the apprentices train, and if you follow the path of the river, you’ll come across a large open space in the trees with rocks covering the ground, huge flat ones perfect for laying out and sunning yourself. Brambles also grow on one edge of this clearing, which the cats use to protect their camp and dens.
Bordering Clans
Camp
The leader's den which is a small cave right next to a tall pine tree, has room for only two cats inside it.
The warrior's den is a big cave on the other side of the leader's den, it has room for a lot of cats in it, and in an area of camp where room can be added if needed.
The apprentice's den is on the other side of the leader's den before you get to the warrior's den and right next to the nursery. It is a cave just a little bit smaller then the warriors den.
The nursery is right next to the warrior's den and apprentice's den. It is one of the safest places in camp.
The elder's den and Medicine cat den are in a linked cave on the other side of the OrchardClan camp.
Moon cave
The Mooncave is a cave not far from camp where clan leaders goes to get there 9 lives, and where medicine cats go to consult with StarClan.

Clan Members
Leader: AsterStar: Grey and silver tabby she cat with astonishing purple eyes. fierce, kind, everything that asterclan honors. she built the clan from the ground up, and is proud of their progress. she does not seek a mate, but should someone who is the right fit come along, she would not be opposed.
Deputy:
Thunderfoot - A large tom-cat with short, marbled white and black fur, icy blue eyes and big black feet. He has an old battle scar that runs from his right ear, across his eye, and to his nose, that slightly impairs his vision. He is not completely blind in that eye, but it doesn't work like it used to. He is usually pretty serious, but also very loyal, and fiercely protective.
He was born five years ago, with only one sister (Rainsong). Since, he has grown to be a fierce warrior, but he has never been very good at hunting. (eloquent dreamer)
Medicine Cat:
Medicine Cat Apprentice:
Warriors:
FrostFlame- maine coon cat with a white mane around her head, and black tabby markings. grey and silver mottled fluffy coat, perfect for leafbare. her eyes are a stunning orange, and she is a closed off, stubborn clan member. she doesnt have many friends, but she longs for a mate and kits.
Sandyheart- an orange she-cat with bright green eyes. She has darker ginger stripes running along her body. She is rather short, Her tail is half the length of a normal cat’s, only because of her small stature. Sandyheart is very bubbly. She can swing from mood to mood on some days, but she is usually very level headed and happy. The little kitty is always trying to be happy, even when times are rough. She tries to see the positives through the negatives. (Peanutella)
Ashdapple- speckled gray she-cat with white paws and light blue eyes.Kind, can get overexcited at times, pretty friendly although she can be shy when nervous. Very loyal to her clan, and is torn about whether she wants a mate and kits or to focus solely on her warrior duties. She is known to be trustworthy but has a quick temper and tends to overreact a bit when she's emotional. She was born into the clan with no siblings, but her mother and father both died of greencough when she was a young apprentice. She wants to make them proud by being the best warrior she can be. (Silversnow98)
Rainsong- a petite silver tabby with long, silky fur. She has white on her belly and chest, as well as four white feet. Her pale green eyes are separated by a streak of white fur that starts on her forehead and surrounds her pink nose. Despite her small frame, she has relatively long legs that give her an edge when running. She is very level headed and calm. Is a good leader, but she doesn't want to be in the spotlight. Enjoys being social. She was born five years ago, with only one sibling (Thunderfoot). She has grown into a loyal clan member and friend to many. (eloquent dreamer)
Mudfur- He's 14 moons, Mudfur is a fairly young tom-cat with a tortoiseshell pelt. His underbelly is mainly white, and has light yellow eyes. He has a long deep scar the runs down his left flank up to the middle of his side, and a little notch in his right ear. He's an average sized cat, with a fairly simple muscle. He's cocky, loyal, and outgoing. He has a cocky attitude, which gets him into trouble every once in a while, but his loyalty is strong for those he loves, and will do anything in his power to protect them. Once you get to know him, hes super. He was born in a clan where hot, dry climate was normal. Unfortunately his clan was wiped out by a fire, and only a handful of cats survived. He was JUST made a warrior when the fire swept through and destroyed everything, so warrior duties are a little more new to him. He has no family left and has been searching for a clan for a while now. (Brindlebriar)
Queens:
Apprentices:
Rosepaw - A very small she-cat with cream colored fur and dark brown tips (nose, feet, ears, tail, etc). She is very fluffy, so she appears larger than she actually is. She is very curious and eager to please others. Wants to be a fearsome warrior, but she isn't exactly intimidating. (eloquent dreamer)
Snowpaw - (8 Moons old) Snowpaw is a she-cat who is smaller than your average apprentice. Her pelt is almost all white, but has a few markings of brown and black on the top of her head. She has a little black nose, and a soft gaze. Her eyesight Isn't the best, due to her lack of size, and whiteness of her pelt. She's frisky, loud, and determined. Shes super energetic, and loud, but has a very teachable spirit about her.Because she's smaller than your average apprentice, she has more determination to get things done. Although this can cause problems, she usually acts before she thinks. As a young kit, her clan was forced out of their own home, and Snowpaw, being as small as she was, was easily looked over, and therefore left behind. Mudfur found her on his way to search for a new clan and claimed her as his own. (Brindlebriar)
Kits:
Elders:
Rouges/Kittypets:
Nightengale - a very large black Tom. He has piercing green eye. They almost don’t belong with his body, being that they are almost too small for his face. His long whiskers accommodate for them though. He is solidly built. He has very big paws, matching his large body. On his chest, he has a small white spot. There is no white anywhere else on his body. He is strong. He is coolheaded, but easy to anger. He trusts no one unless he is around them for a very long time, but even then he doesn’t really trust. He could be referred to as lazy, but he’s really just trying to capture the moment in his mind so he won’t lose anything. He prefers to be alone. He was once a kitty pet by the name of Simon. He left his home when he was young however. He never really had any interest in being in a Clan, but he lives in a hidden spot on the AsterClan territory. (Peanutella )
Mates/Crushes: (mates=<3, crushes= ~(one way) ~~ (both ways),mate died=</3, ex-mates= ><)

~Warrior Code~
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders, Queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
~Medicine Cat Code~
1. A medicine cat cannot take on a mate.
2. A medicine cat cannot have kits.
3. A medicine cat will never let personal feelings get in the way of his or her duties.
4. Medicine cats are outside Clan and Clan rivalry.
5. A medicine cat may be trained in as a warrior before a medicine cat, but a medicine cat cannot become a normal warrior.
6. Medicine cats are outside Clan rivalries, but they still must learn basic fighting moves.
7. A medicine cat must be able to interpret signs from StarClan.
8. Medicine cats cannot reject an injured cat.

~Battle Moves~
Back Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws.
Jump and pin: Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat.
Hunting Techniques
Hunter's Crouch- keep your body low with your tail sticking straight out. Hind legs must be ready to leap, and front paws must be ready to pounce. also a good fighting stance.
Fishing Catch- when fishing in a lake or river, keep your reflection away from the water. when the fish comes, quickly hook your paw into the water and scoop the fish onto the surface. finish it off with a quick killing bite.
Squirrel Race- when the squirrel runs up the tree to escape, quickly run up the trunk alongside the squirrel until you are fast enough to block it at the top. then chase it back down and hopefully catch it. very complicated technique.
Bird Leap- when a bird is aware its being hunted and begins to fly up, leap up as high as possible and bat it back down. recommended for older apprentices to learn.
Mouse Stalker- keep your pawsteps light on the ground and try to slide them so the mouse wont feel your pawsteps.
Rabbit Fishing- a technique for when you are desperate for prey. find a rabbit hole and make sure a rabbit is in there. then, silently wait until the rabbit's head pops out. scooping it out like you're fishing, and hopefully catch it.

Sandyheart trotted around the camp. She looked for holes in the ground that others could step in and hurt themselves in, sometimes filling them in if they were big enough. She was having a lot of fun, actually, and quite enjoying the feeling of being helpful.

AsterStar returned from a lone hunt with a vole and a thrush in her jaws, adding her kills to the pile. noticing the work sandyheart has done, she purrs softly. "nice work SandyHeart! thank you!" the rest of the camp was fairly quiet, and the leader returned to her den, pondering various things about the clan.
FrostFlame rose from her next, and shook her fur out, stretching. she could hear the others outside, and wondered if she had missed anything important.ducking out of the den, she gave herself a quick grooming before padding over to her clanmate sandheart. "would you like some help?" she meowed softly, tilting her head a bit.

“Thank you, AsterStar.” Sandyheart said, bowing her head to the leader. “I tripped over a lot of holes last night while I was on my way to get a midnight snack, so I decided that it was about time someone went through and filled in these holes. Yes please, Frostflame.” She said, turning from AsterStar to FrostFlame.

dipping her head in agreement, FrostFlame ambles over to a larger sized hole and works away, shifting loose soil from around the area into the hole until its packed tight. a quiet hiss of distaste escapes her as the dirt works its way under her claws, but she deals with it, knowing itll make the camp safer for everyone in the clan, especially elders and kits.

Sandyheart trotted over to a larger hole. She flinched and covered it up, forcing a smile on her face. “Hey FrostFlame, can you help me with this one?” She asked, smiling.

after finishing with the one she was working on, FrostFlame trotted over, and nodded. "sure" she replied nonchalentely, pushing dirt into the hold and packing it down. her claws snagged on a rock at one point, and she winced but continued on.

“You okay?” Sandyheart asked, tilting her head and looking up from her work. She packed dirt down and looked back down, bouncing her two front paws and looking quite like a fox in some manner.

FrostFlame picked up her paw, and suckled on the torn claw gently. "ill be okay. just need some cobwebs after were done with this hole" gingerly placing the paw back down, she continues to fill in the hole until shes satisfied. glancing towards SandyHeart, she chuckles, shaking her head. "you look like a fox bouncing around like that"

placing her weight gingerly, the white maned she cat padded over to a small clump of sticks coated in cobwebs, and wrap them around her paw, applying enough pressure to alleviate pain. cocking her head a bit, she shrugged. "we could go hunting. or down to the waterfall" FrostFlame suggested

FrostFlame examined the wrapping before holding her paw out. "what do you think? do you think thatll hold?" she asked grumpily, upset that she had managed to tear a claw so quickly in the day. her ears flicked a bit as a bug landed briefly on them, before continuing on its way.

FrostFlame sighs and puts her paw down, testing it before being satisfied that its okay. following SandyHeart to the fresh kill pile, she picks out a small mouse, and pad a few paces away. settling down, the warrior digs into her snack, wondering what she should do for the rest of the day.

"Hey, there'd better be some prey left for me!" Ashdapple called jokingly as she stepped out of the warrior den. She stretched, looking up at the sun. She normally wouldn't sleep in so late, but after guarding camp all night, she knew she'd be useless without some rest.

FrostFlame paused in her grooming, raising an eye brow at her clanmmates comment. "wed be too fat and slow to hunt if we had eaten all of that" she replied cooly. it was hard to tell if she was joking or not. the warrior returned to her meticulous grooming, and relaxed in the sun.
AsterStar dozed in her den, content to listen to her clan talk amongst themselves. if anything major came up, shed know about it. for now, though, she enjoyed her rest. the clan was thriving, and thats all that mattered right now.

Snowpaws eyes fluttered open, "I'm so happy to finally have a home!" she thought to herself. She gazed around, letting her soft blue gaze rest on the opening of the apprentice den, for she was trying to make out the shapes of other cats walking around in the opening of the camp. "I wonder what Mudfur is up to..." she mumbled to herself. She uncurled her tail from around her and stretched, fluffing out her white fur. She slowly got to her paws and poked her head out of the den. Her eyes squinted as she searched for a familiar face in the camp. It had only been a few days since her and Mudfur's arrival, and she could barely hide her eagerness to make new friends and start a new life. ~~ Mudfur sat outside the Warriors den, grooming his pelt, purring loudly. Mudfur noticed how happy Ashdapple had seemed, and he couldn't help but smile a little to himself. Everyone here seemed so content with where they were, and that was all he needed right now.

Thunderfoot sat in the middle of camp in the sunlight, half listening to his sister talk, half surveying the rest of the camp.
Rainsong smirked as her brother nodded as she spoke, clearly not listening to what she was saying. She decided to mess with him "And then, the badger picked me up, and ran away with me, and I was never seen again." He nodded at this too, as if it was perfectly normal. She laughed and swatted her brother's ear, finally getting his attention. "Ashdapple and Sandyheart look like they are going to go hunting. I think I'll join them. See you later brother!"

Mudfur glazed around the camp, noticing Thunderfoot. "I have talked to him before, maybe I'll go introduce myself." He stretched, and padded over to fresh kill pile, grabbing one for him, and one for the Tom. "I hope he likes rabbits..." He thought. He stopped beside the Tom, and dropped the fresh kill. "Hey there! Wanna share?" He sat and curled his tail around his paws.

Thunderfoot nodded warmly at the young warrior, "Why not? I'm always up for a good rabbit!" He chuckled and took a bite of the fresh kill, then pushed it towards Mudfur. The deputy's eyes glanced over the tom, who was fairly new to the clan "So, how are you liking AsterClan? I'm sorry about what happened to your old clan...but I'm glad you have found your home with us."

Mudfur settled next to the deputy, and took a bite of the rabbit. "It's okay" he mumbled through the rabbit. "I'm really enjoying Asterclan, everyone here is so content." He rolled over into his side after he nuzzled the last of the rabbit to Thunderfoot. He began to clean his underbelly. "My old clan was never this nice, unfortunately. It seemed like everyone was always fighting about something." Mudfur closed his eyes as he remembered his mother and father fighting over which kit was going to be the most successful. Mudfur shuttered and blocked out the memory. "I'm just glad that's all over."

"Would you like to come hunting?" Ashdapple turned to Sandyheart. "I want to get out of camp for a bit." Sandyheart nodded. "Of course!" She said, smiling and standing up. "Should be fun."
