c r o w p a w training hollow  Taking a deep breath, the she-cat analyzed how to get out of this pin. If Badgerpaw was an enemy cat, he could bite her throat and end her life. Her front paws weren't freed, but her back paws were. Though she could headbutt the apprentice if he leaned forward more, preventing a killing bite and allowing time to kick him off. She knew he wouldn't do such a thing, Bumblesting would be angry. Besides, another way of killing her would be clawing her throat, something she couldn't defend well without sacrificing an eye.
Instead, she put all of her effort into kicking the tom off, which proved to be difficult, taking most of her energy. Crowpaw then moved to the side, jumping to her paws. She moved a pace or two closer before swiping dust at the tom and smacking her paw down hard on his head, then left to his left and delivered a kick in his side. Badgerpaw may have strength and size, but Crowpaw was swift and had wits. In a real battle, she would have to dance around the enemy until a Clanmate arrived or until she could escape without chase. If there was a water source, she would have led him into that and let the currents wash him away. wip |

She sighed in frustration, "Busted indeed."
Watching her apprentice with harsh amber eyes, the she-cat shook her head. "That doesn't mean to sneak off. Especially this close to the two-legs. You both could get hurt, or captured."
Amberstone frowned at the thought of the medicine cat apprentice by herself.
"You two must've missed the announcements. But Nightpaw was captured by those two-legs. I don't want anything to happen to the both of you, and next time, come to a warrior and ask to go hunting. You guys shouldn't be out here by yourselves. Something bad can happen!" She meowed before turning her full gaze to Boulderpaw.
"You. In fact, I was planning to take you hunting sometime today."~~~~~~
Sweetpaw - Camp

With a soft hum, the apprentice nodded,
"Duties? I believe I was informed. Just in case I wasn't properly told, could you refresh what those duties were?"
Sweetpaw thought hard, "I don't remember too much about them.. Ah! But I do remember my father was very harsh. He seemed he wanted me to be the best, judging by me being the only kit born. But other than him wanting me to grow up and be strong, perhaps a leader judging by how he spoke, he was very nice at times. If I accurately remember, he really enjoyed being on the patrols. I guess you can describe him as determined," Sweetpaw chuckled, remembering all her father's moments, "My mother, I wasn't close with her. She was very pressuring and overprotective. I didn't like that. I always tried to stick around my father. But otherwise, she was alright. I didn't agree on how overprotective she was, but now I can understand."
With a bright smile, she turned her head to her mentor. "I really do want to make both of them proud though! And I would like to make you proud too."

The she-cat couldn't help but agree with Nightshade's simply put opinion on the matter, understanding his frustrations. "I'm glad my apprentice decided to be here full time. Imagine how slowly her training would go if she was gone half of the time!" Leopardcloud exclaimed in a hushed voice. She didn't intend to sound hostile, but she really did feel thankful she was able to see the small white-furred Apprentice every day. "Sometimes I feel like it's not fair that they get to go back to their housefolks in the Leaf-bare, but," she sighs, "I guess they do contribute and fight side by side with us, right? They'd die for one another like the rest of us". She let her tail flicker at the surface of the water anxiously. |

She stifled back a chuckle at her clan-mate who certainly seemed more concerned than she did, though she could understand. "Maybe they really aren't true SkyClan warriors," she pondered the thought, "and we're slowly losing the foundations of our clan". The thought made her uneasy and she couldn't help but look over at the new arrival across from camp next to Mouseberry's side. Another stranger. "Yes that sounds like a great idea Nightshade," Leopardcloud agreed, standing to her paws beside the tom and letting her tail swing and hit the ground. |

{I just took a lovely 4 hour nap. It'll probably screw with my night of sleep, but oh well.. :3 I apologize for not posting sooner, school is my main priority right now, so homework claims most of my afternoons.} ~ B L O U D E R P A W ~Boulderpaw lowered his head as Amberstone spoke. He had rarely seen her upset, but when she was he never liked it. His tail went in between his legs and he looked at Moosepaw. "I forgot about Nightpaw..." He mewed under his breath. "But the two-legs wouldn't have caught me anyway! My skills are to great for them!" Boulderpaw lifted his gaze and looked around. The two-leg fence was right behind them, and he could smell the sour stench of kitty pets. He was beginning to grow uneasy and he shifted his paws. "Lets go hunting somewhere else then." He started to walk forwards, hoping he had heard the end of Amberstone plight against him.

A low growl escaped her.
"Boulderpaw." The mentor's tone was harsh, and she flicked her ears when speaking his name.
Oh how angry she was.
Sometimes apprentices can be too oblivious and careless.
She slowly stepped forward to her apprentice, before blocking his way, which would force the tom to stop.
"Say if something did happen, and you used your 'skills' to attempt to get away. What would've happened if the two-legs caught you anyway?" The cold, bitter timbre never left her. "I'm sure Moosepaw wouldn't be able to help you very well if the two-legs caught the both of you. Some two-legs are stubborn, and could deal with outside cats. They could've gotten you, Boulderpaw."
With a small sigh, Amberstone lowered her head, "I know, they didn't get you. But promise me you will be more careful from now on? Both of you." She licked his forehead, as if apologizing before looking around.
The stench of kittypets made her want to hurl up the food she had recently eaten.
"I suppose we can go somewhere else.. Come on, you two."

~ B O U L D E R P A W ~ Boulderpaw shrank away as Amberstone grew more forceful with her words. He closed his eyes tightly and flattened his ears against his head. "You're right Amberstone." He whined, his eyes still closed. As she mentioned going somewhere else to hunt, Boulderpaw opened his eyes. He had a nasty habit of not thinking about how his actions could effect others, and this could've turned out really bad.

s p e c i a l a n n o u n c e m e n t Ros is going to be taking a break from the forums. With this, we have a little dilemma with our plot. SkyClan was going to face different factors that cause them to journey to the lake and meet up with the other four Clans. Well, if we don't have the other Clans, there isn't any reason to move them per say. We want to keep the role-play interesting and exciting and by having them journey was an interesting idea. An idea we still would like to do. Now, before I suggest this, I want to make it clear that your opinion matters. Even if it does not go into your favor, we will at least consider why you didn't like the idea and we will do our best to make it work for everyone. If a majority votes against the idea, that is alright, we can create plots here. We just want everyone as happy as can be and interested as can be. With that, Cro, Fae, and I have discussed creating the original four Clans once SkyClan is at the lake, maybe while they are on the journey to give potential new members time to adapt, we have only brought up slight discussion.
Now, we do know the risks of expanding the role-play. If it doesn't work out, we can probably sort something out to make it work. We will try our best, as we have ran original five Clans before. Cro and Fae are willing to take on a Clan, I'm even willing to take on another Clan if need be. But again, we won't do this unless a majority agree to it. What we have discussed so far would be that the Clans have expanded territory, more accurate and personal lore, just something really thought out and not copy-and-pasted. We want to put effort into making this something special, like SkyClan has become something special at least to me. I really enjoy this role-play and I want to do things to improve it or make it a lot more interesting and appealing. So if you could please give us your opinions, we would appreciate it. Right now, it isn't set in stone, so we won't be giving away Clans yet. We just want to know what you guys think. I'll be tagging everyone so this is seen. I apologize if it annoys you. <3 |
