Petalfoot didn't move and met his gaze, "Tell me what Grunt has done to you, I won't tell a soul" she murmured, "Why does he have such a strong hold over you and Snow?"

Coal choked a bit. "When Snow got pregnant, I couldn't believe it. She seemed happy about being a mother, but I just...". Coal looked away, flattening his ears. "Because he's the father, Snow is hesitant to leave, even though Grunt hurts her and I try to protect her but he has more strength than me and..." Coal's eyes were widening and his breathing picking up as his voice seemed to catch in his throat. "I just-"

Petafoot pressed against Coal's side in support, "It will be alright Coal" she gave him a comforting lick on his ear, "We will help you and Bramblestar will help with Grunt, she's the best fighter in all the clans and 5 cats are stronger than one cowardly tom"

Coal felt warm despite the cool leafbare breeze breathing on them through the barn doors. He leaned himself further into her. "Thank you" he breathed, laying his head down, thankful he could finally say what he was unable to tell Snow for the longest time.
Suddenly, Bramblestar raced through from outside bristling. Petalfoot, Rainsong, Willowmist, Brightfall! We have a problem"

Petalfoot broke away from Coal in alarm, “What’s happening?” She asked quickly. Her fur began to fluff out with anxiety

Bramblestar waved her tail to Petalfoot to look outside. Two adult two legs were carrying some small cages and talking. They wore a rubbery later over their paws: Bramblestar bristled. “Those are cages built for cats. Fernpaw got caught in one before” the leader bristled thinking of her passed sister

Bramblestar thought for a moment. "It's too cold to put them out in the snow to hide" she said thoughtfully. Coal stepped forward. "We can hide them in the hay" he spoke up, his tail lashing with worry for his sister and her kits. Bramblestar nodded to Petalfoot and quickly made her way back up the ladder to the loft.
(You're accepted. I'll add you shortly)

Petalfoot raced back to Snow and began nuzzling the kits awake, "We need to move the kits" she grabbed Haze by the scruff, "Now!" she hissed trying to not panic

Ok, thank you! How should I jump in?) (I have Shrewface open but the majority of the characters are far from camp) Shrewface waved his tail at his patrol, "We should turn back, I don't want the camp unguarded for too long" he padded back to the camp and wondered how Petalfoot and Bramblestar were doing

Coal leaped up beside Petalfoot, taking Frost by the scruff. Snow sat up worriedly. "W-What's going on?"
"There's two legs coming this way with multiple cat cages, and I doubt they're just for Grunt" Bramblestar hissed. "We need to move you and your kits, unless you want them to take you all".
Grunt sat up and yawned. "It's just my housefolk coming to pick up the runts and start looking for homes for them" he explained, scratching behind his ear. "No need to worry Snow". Snow's eyes widened as she bristled. "Find new homes? Their home is with me?" her vocie trembled as her tail curled around Scratch who still laid on the floor.

(Ok cool!)
Oakleaf padded sleepily out of the warriors' den. The she-cat's green eyes blinked rapidly as she tried to rid the sleep from her eyes. Yawning she surveyed the camp and saw that is was nearly empty. She frowned. Why do I always sleep through everything? Her ears perked at the sound of paw steps approaching and she turned to see Shrewface entering the camp. She flicked her tail in greeting towards the narrow faced tom.

Smokewind happily returned from the patrol with the tom, bits of snow still dotting his fur as he shook it out lightly. He dipped his head to oakleaf as he passed and laid down to stretch his body.
Sootshine greeted Smokewind politely, her eyes watching the camp entrance as if Bramblestar would return at any moment. She sighed, not hiding her worry for her sister, but knew she was strong and would be ok

Petalfoot set Haze down gently in the hay and covered the little kit as she was doing so she heard Grunt's response, "I'll shred their hairless skin off before they touch any of these kits!" she snarled and shoved her muzzle in Grunt's face, "And I'll shred you too!" she spat

Before Petalfoot could do anything, Coal passed her the kit wordlessly, steadily walking up to Grunt. "We're leaving. Snow, the kits and I. I will rip your throat out before I let you lay so much as a look on these kits ever again. You disgust me and from this point on if you say a word to Snow or the kits, I will not hesitate to hurt you" he snarled quietly, his yellow eyes slits as his short fur bristled just a bit.
Bramblestar nudged Snow up and picked up Scratch. She padded over besides Petalfoot, watching Coal and Grunt warily. "Coal" Snow murmured, calling for her brother to come away from the larger kittypet.
Grunt opened his mouth. "We-" Coal raked his claws across the tom's face, knocking him to the hanging edge of the loft as he grasped at the sides, clamoring to pull himself up. Coal turned to Petalfoot. "Let's go" was all he said as he padded past her to check on Snow.

Wasppaw padded out of the apprentices' den, his yellow eyes bright with annoyance. The apprentice had been occupied for what had seemed like moons trying to get a mat out of his tail. He shot a sideways glance towards his sister and Shrewface in acknowledgement as he made his way towards the fresh-kill pile.
Oakleaf felt her ears get hot in embarrassment. "I guess I napped a little longer than I thought I would." She mewed. "What did I miss?" She added as she padded over to the tom.

Coal bristled. “No need to hide any more. We’re leaving” he said flatly, uncovering Frost and picking her back up.
Bramblestar watched the tom and nodded to her warriors. “We’re going back to camp” she called to her warriors as she took Scratch again. Snow followed after the she-cat, trusting her as protection

(I can rp as Scratch if he's still available) Petalfoot lifted Haze and followed after Coal and Bramblestar her heart starting to slow its beat feeling relief wash over her as they headed towards home. She walked in silence beside Coal and made sure to keep the kits rear off the snow

Oakleaf let out a sigh as she nodded. "Any idea on when they'll be back?" At Shrewface's address to her brother she rolled her eyes and added, "Yeah Wasppaw what have you done that is productive today?"
Wasppaw's ears flattened at the sound of Shrewface's growl. The red-brown tom turned his yellow gaze onto the pair as he muttered, "Whatever. Let's go." He then lashed his tail at his sister, "Oh like how you've been productive today? Sleeping beauty over here."

Shrewface raised his tail to have the siblings stop bickering, “Enough, Let’s get to hunting” he gave Wasppaw a side glance wanting to bat the apprentices ears but he used to be the same hot headed apprentice back in the day. “Oakleaf, you lead the patrol” he meowed

Oakleaf shot her brother a final annoyed glance before nodding and leading the trio into the forest. The she-cat was immediately met with the scents of various types of prey. Catching a strong whiff of squirrel she instinctively lowered herself into a crouch and stalked close to the ground, spotting the bushy tailed rodent nibbling near the base of a tree. Making her way towards the unsuspecting prey she narrowed her eyes, bunched up her legs, and pounced onto the squirrel finishing it off with a quick snip to the neck.
Wasppaw watched his sister make her kill with relative ease and couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Oakleaf had always been the better hunter. Big deal. I'll catch something better. And with that thought the scent of rabbit flooded the tom's senses. Perfect. He narrowed his eyes, and in surveying his surroundings finally spotted a flash of white in the underbrush. The tom lowered himself into a crouch and only managed to take few steps before stepping on a twig. Crack! The rabbit's head shot up and immediately took off. "Fox-dung!" Wasppaw spat before snarling and launching himself into the underbrush to chase the rabbit.
"Wasppaw! Where are you going?!" Oakleaf yelled out as her brother disappeared into the thick growth.

"Oh for Starclan's sake!" Oakleaf hissed. The russet colored she-cat took after her brother in the underbrush calling out, "Wasppaw leave it! It isn't worth it!"
Wasppaw wasn't listening though. The tom's paws thudded on the ground as he raced after the rabbit. Almost there! He thought to himself triumphantly when suddenly he felt his feet leave the ground having tripped on a tree root that was poking through the soil. The apprentice let out a grunt of pain as he landed hard on his stomach. Wincing he looked up and saw a pair of green eyes peering out at him through the underbrush, the rabbit long gone. "What are you staring at? I would've caught the stupid thing if it wasn't for this root!" He snarled thinking that it was his sister Oakleaf. But instead of an answer a low growl sounded and the unmistakable muzzle of a fox emerged. Oh no.
