I need to stop being paranoid about details and just get this up there because it's already getting late
promise the next few will be faster (parts are already done after all) but eek I've never done anything this short or close to this pace I'm scared to mess something up ahhhh
Tomorrow for sure. I'll block a time to just sit down and do a last work over of the plot to make sure it's airtight and fix a part of the scene (I dropped a character, sorry guys) and it'll be up
also if you hadn't noticed yet there's been a (unannounced) teaser on the front page for about a week so check it out if you hadn't already and get a bit more hyped for our poor little guy and his (maybe) friend.

porting this over to ffnet because I always end up doing that a few months after as backlog
and those people are much more harsh about update schedules so maybe it'll force me to, ya know, actually update this

I know I have hardly anything and it's a bad idea to edit before finishing but
Mapleheart just can't exist the way she does. It doesn't work. So instead this is going to be a prologue (as it should have been) and a year or so BEFORE the events of the main arc. The story just doesn't make sense otherwise. It's mostly just changing the names and, like, three sentences. Expect that in the next five minutes.

So as I'm plotting this out, I'm finding I can group events in a few different ways? One favors longer chapters with a few things happening per chapter, another breaks each major event/plot point into its own chapter so it feels faster paced.
I'm asking you guys what you'd prefer early on in the process so I can start breaking up these events.
Mostly, would you rather read this in a bunch of shorter sessions or check in a few times a month for a longer read?
and for context, the prologue was just over 2k words.

Hhmn. That's a hard one. But I'm going to have to go with the shorter chapters. Maybe then the people over on ffnet will be happy to have more frequent updates.

not that I'm working on this I should be I'm not but I did want to work on processing pages of a comic, and this proved to be a good candidate for an opening (read right->left like manga because I'm a weeb) the season is wrong. I know that. It's my story. Bite me. Things I like: - divisions to some extent? I like the side bubble but I wish I subdivided the bottom into two and gave the establishing shot more. . . room to establish the shot. - Bubbles. They make me happy. The text should be typed but I have like, two fonts and I didn't feel like messing with that - The snap placement. Things I want to fix: - Backgrounds god. Ik this is just a placement sketch but trying to do trees and bushes suck - the last panel. Ew. esp Mint's face like woah there. Both anatomy, expression and placement(size) need to be completely redone to make this passable. - Flow? It's a bit weird since there's only three panels. |
