((@ minty:: I love it so much! otp for lyfe. I haven't actually heard that one in full, only catching snippets of it from the radio, i'll be sure to check it out tho, all my friends love ed sheeran.)) ((@ blaze:: thoughts are always good. it's hard to narrate thoughts for newer characters though bc i'm not quite as familiar with them. most of the characters i'm using right new are ones I completely revamped. keeping the relationships and looks but almost completely scrapping the personality. but i'm pretty comfortable with my these guys I think))
Griffin hummed thoughtfully, agreeing with her sentiment about the kiss. Finally arriving at the place, he found them a place to sit. Dusting off the playground platform with his coat sleeve he sat and invited her to sit. Toying with her fingers, he sat leaning his head against a pole from the playground. "Too early?" he laughed. "My dear Lucia it was long in waiting. Plenty more times."
---
Leah smiled as her words sunk in, tucking a stray strand of blonde hair out of her face. Not personally a particularly sporty or nerdy person she was usually pretty okay with whatever. Mapping her way around the town she figured she'd breeze through the park with Drake and then take him to zoo, on the far end of town.
The barista from the kitchen finally finished getting Drake's drink together, and called his name. Leah nudged him forward and headed towards the door to hold it open for him. "I'm ready for anything really,"Leah what are you saying oh my goodness, you aren't ready for any of this. Telling her internal panic to shush it, she continued. "From what it sounds like, we'll hit the park first and then meander around in--" she stopped, looking outside at the snow falling pretty heavily. This is one situation you were one hundred percent not ready for, Leah, oh my gosh."Would you believe that!" she exclaimed externally. "Snow!"

((Griffin and Lucia are adorable, guys. XD I'm reading all their stuff. And I feel like I've heard Perfect and it seems perfect? XD
And agreed. There's all that thought that goes into new characters and their thoughts. >.> It's hard.))
Drake had truly stopped paying attention to the drink, and was surprised when they called his name. He walked up, smiling and thanking the barista who was already hurrying off to make the next drink. He shrugged and took the cup, not bothering to try drinking it quite yet. Drake wasn't a fan of hot stuff.
"Sounds great." Drake agreed as he followed after Leah, smiling at her as he stepped out into the freshly falling snow. "Oh wow. This is... magical." He admitted, looking out as the snow fell down around them. The snow in his hair looked like stars in the night sky. "Anyway, you were saying park first, right?" The park sounded like a beautiful place in this weather.

[((tbh I have a huge thing against clichés but like I need the clichés to have my antis to work out and be good yknow?)) ((and yes i'm listening to it rn and its pretty fitting. xD characters are really what give me life though. its like the true alternate reality that's in your hands. and that's whats great about books. unexplored whatifs and then somes.)) --- Snapping out of her daze, Leah turned to face Drake, couldn't help but nodding in agreement. Letting the door close behind her she sipped her hot chocolate once more and zipping her cream colored jacket up a tad bit more. She never was one for the cold air. "We'll just breeze through the park and then I'll take you to the zoo," she finished.
Her shorter legs took her at a much slower pace but she was leading this parade so she took all the time in world. because let's be real here, her leisurely pace was another's slow-mo walk. Arriving at the zoo she found another couple there but they were off together, too wrapped up in each other to notice her and Drake wandering around, rather platonically in fact. Shivering she hugged her drink tighter, taking another sip of the warm drink. "There's your local PDA couple," she joked, vaguely waving in their direction. "Every park's gotta have 'em." -- ((i'm gonna close up shop for the night, prepping for tmr. i'll be pretty spotty from here on out I think knowing my family. merry Christmas eve eve --if you do that kinda thing. ))

Lucia allowed Griffin to lead her to the park bench, content to let him take her anywhere. The park was just the same as it had been ten years ago, when they were eleven. She felt like nothing could bring her out of the trance she was in. The woman had only expected to grab a coffee and explore the small city by herself. But this...it was so much more enjoyable to see her hometown with him. The ginger leaned her head against Griffin’s shoulder, watching kids frolick and play. “Oh?” Lucia turned to face him. “Then I guess we better get started making up all those wasted years,” she murmured playfully, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek. Her neutral lipstick left a mark on his flushed cheek, and she laughed. “Now my mark is on you, so no one else can take you.” She snuggled closer to him.

((Cliches can be fun with the right people, and in small doses... Maybe. XD Yes. Like, you can experience things you would never experience in real life. That is why I love role-playing and writing so much.))
"Well I'm fine with spending as much time in the park as you want." Drake replied. He was still a child at heart. "I love a good swing set. Swings are the best thing ever. Like, I'll be sixty and I'll still hobble over to a swing set." He said, hoping to convey his extreme love of swings and everything park.
He looked towards the couple, wrinkling his nose up in disgust. "PDA couples... They are everywhere." Drake agreed. He wasn't a fan of them everywhere, but PDA couples infected everything. "We should tell them to get a room." And Drake wanted to yell it at them, but Drake also didn't want to make Leah uncomfortable by yelling at some random strangers.

Lucia saw a man wrinkle his nose at the two of them. Her anger grew - as it was often wont to do - and she flipped the bird at him. If he had a problem with people having a nice day, he surely wasn’t a good person. She smiled infuriatingly when she did it, wondering if the man would react or not.
(Me too! I guess that’s the thing that’s drawn me to doing this. Also: Just thought I’d add this in there xD)

((Oh boy. Alright. XD Let me get into my special Drake zone because this is gonna probably be weird.))
Drake pretended to be stunned and horrified by the response from the girl on the bench. He threw a hand over his head, his face an expression of complete and utter hurt... And then he started laughing because, well, it wouldn't take that to get under his skin.
"Hey, get a room!" Drake yelled across the park. He would have left it be and kept going, but this girl had brought on this war. And Drake for some reason decided that he would not be beat. "This is for children not... whatever you're doing!"

Lucia laughed and got up, unable to resist a fight. “At least I have someone!” She yelled at him, brushing her auburn locks away from her face. “At least I’m not some lonely loser who doesn’t have a life!” Damn, this man - whoever he was - had some nerve. And she had just kissed Griffin on the cheek. “At least I’m not a poor boy whose mother deprived him of girls - or boys!” There went that famous temper of hers. Often, she tried to rein it in, but this man - no, he was a boy! - made her mad.

Drake snorted. "Please, I don't have to have a girlfriend or boyfriend like some people." He replied, smirking at her in reply. In fact, he preferred being single for reasons private to Drake only. Well, and his brother knew, but that wasn't important at this moment. "And joke's on you! My mom didn't deprive of me of dating, she just deprived me of basic care and affection." He replied, sticking his tongue out at her as if he had won this war. Even though obviously, he hadn't, and it was a stupid try.

((@ intrans:: thank you!! ))
--- Realizing that Charlotte was lost in her own world, Dakota chuckled. She dutifully trailed behind her, knowing Charlie would hear her eventually, she studied the titles as they passed by. Sometimes if they were interesting enough she'd pull a book out and read the summary, noting it mentally to checkout of the library. While Charlie loved bookstores, Dakota loved the library, the atmosphere of learning. She also loved taking advantage of the free wifi, and free movies and such.
Pausing with Charlotte, she listened, keeping the titles in her head. "Can I borrow them from you or should I get them from the library?" she inquired, finding Into the Wild on one of the display shelves. She went over to check out the price of the hard back book and almost dropped it. The price of books had sky rocketed in the recent years, and paperback books were never as good as hardback. ---
[ C: <3 ]
Charlotte blinked at Dakota's question, making a face and turning to her. "You should definitely buy your own copies because they're worth that," she mumbled, eyes narrowing slightly as she pulled free a title that looked oddly familiar. She didn't remember reading this book, but it seemed familiar just the same.
"I mean, you're going to want to write in it, I'm sure," she snorted, turning the book over in her hands. She ran a loving finger down the spine, feeling the impression of the letters against her skin, a smile gracing her usually stoic features. Gosh, Charlie loved books.

Griffin pulled on Lucia's hair lightly. Playing with it, he hmmed thoughtfully. Yes, brave or stupid, Lucia covered it all, Griffin remembered, but he wasn't in the mood for a fight. As the events unfolded, he tugged on Lucia's hand, rising to go somewhere else. Running a nervous hand through his brown hair he shot an anxious glance at the man opposite him.
"Shhh," he soothed, pulling her off the playground. "Leave it," he hissed, preferring to push the fight for well... never. Either way, knowing her mouth, he braced himself in case a fight would end up being necessary. "Unless you want to try to punch you're way out of this one yourself." Immediately regretting that, he cursed under his breath. Now you're gonna have to break that up. --- Leah cursed, messing with the paper covering the cup. Beginning to distance herself from the apathetic man, she hurried on towards the zoo. Pulling at her hair, she waited a few feet away from him enough so people won't associate her with Drake. She stood awkwardly wondering if it was worth it to point the couple out to him.
They in all honesty were a cute couple, she'd seen them around in high school with another guy, but she could tell that Leah had a thing for the guy she was with now. She was glad for her, in all honesty, they were the hot topic trio everyone wanted to be in with their 'group'. She personally would much rather stay inside by herself, but she supposed without Kade she'd eventually get bored. --- Dakota tsked, she couldn't really appreciate books on the same level Charlotte did. She felt that it didn't quite fit her aesthetic, not really her style. What her style was, Dakota wasn't sure. It seemed to change everyday. But Charlie had her moodboards and aesthetics all worked out with dotted 'i's and crossed 't's.
Dakota was astonished upon hearing that Charlie wrote in her books. "How dare, she exclaimed feigning injury. "Books are too fresh to write in. She much preferred to keep things unmarked and neat, penciling in anything would just be vandalism.

Lucia took Griffin’s advice, simply declaring, “You don’t deserve my time anyway,” at the difficult man before sharing a sympathetic glance with his companion. She seemed familiar, and the sight of her pricked at the redhead’s memory. “Leah, is it?” She asked, finding the right name. “Well, good luck.” She liked it when Griffin was playing with her hair, but her eyes narrowed at his last words. “I could solidly beat him up, even if you left me,” her tone was cool and distant, and she looked back at him.
“Well, where shall we go now?” She asked, her warm brown eyes searching Griffin’s. She was a bit mad at his comment, but decided to let it go. After all, things had been going quite smoothly til the whole confrontation had occurred.

Griffin strongly resisted the urge to roll his eyes, while he knew that she was by no means anywhere near delicate he liked to keep their hands clean and bloodstains were never easy to remove. Pointedly ignoring her comment about beating him up, he let a smile form on his features. Resting his elbow on her head, comfortably he offered an idea, "Well squirt, I could show you off to my mom. Is Alex around?"
Leading her around the looped path that took them in a circle, eventually taking them back to the entrance. He loved spending time outside, especially with Lucia in the park.
((for the contending kingdoms rp, do we wanna bring this romance over to make things even more strained in the context of the that specific rp? that could also be confusing, so if you don't want to, I get it.))

((Wait, that contending kingdoms roleplay is open? Like, I think I saw the planning page and thought it looked cool and kind of want to join if allowed? XD))
Drake rolled his eyes and turned away from the annoying couple. He dropped his cup of hot chocolate that was not yet empty (in fact, he had yet to take a drink) into a nearby trashcan. He simply didn't feel like drinking anymore right now, and really, he just felt exhausted. But here he was, out and about, anyway.
"Sorry." He mumbled to Leah, but didn't say much more. It had started out simple, but had somehow accidentally turned out much worse than Drake had already planned. Obviously.

((pretty close to being open you can sneak your joining form in, if you can find the joining page --you didn't hear any of that from me, and you should totally join!!))
Leah sipped her cup of hot chocolate, giving Drake a sideways glance through her now snowy blonde hair. Deciding to trust him to not lash out to her, she tried to comfort. "It's okay," she said, walking with him. Adjusting her messenger bag, she reached in to hand him an unopened water bottle. "You should cool down a bit," she suggested, taking him away from the loop instead taking him to the zoo. She let the conversation fall to a silence, allowing both of them to collect their thoughts and prepare for more people at the zoo.
((what if they get to the zoo and its closed bc they want to put the animals away and then it bc its snowing so hard they end up having to take shelter in a nearby hotel where they have to stay. in the same room or not, I still think this snow thing has potential xD))

((I totally may have found the joining page because I may have stalled you to find it. I've got it bookmarked, so I'll definitely join when it's official. XD))
Drake wasn't sure why he had thought that that entire thing was a good idea, or what had come over him. "Yeah, I know." He admitted. He was usually fairly relaxed. Well, except for a few times, such as apparently today.
"Anyway, where are we headed now?" He asked, hoping to change the topic to something a little more light-hearted and also switch the topic off of his mistake. He did regret it.
((Yes. That sounds absolutely perfect and dramatic. XD))

((minty:: understandably, we'll see how the rp pans out.)) ((i'm pretty hyped tho. it looks really good, I just have to figure out where my light hearted characters fit into this bleak world. I guess we'll just get a glance at what dark!griff looks like. i'm also trying out my new character, griff's sister ambrosia. so whoo hoo!! psst it's officially open too!! ))
Leah hmmed in agreement, taking a turn to the end of the park. Idly she wondered if she had enough money for a venture in the zoo, the zoo usually wasn't too pricey, only about $5 per adult. She should be okay, that does put a damper on her spendings at the new bookstore though, she considered almost regretfully.
Well I offered this too a stranger so here we are, no going back Mason, she told herself, steeling herself to her chosen fate. Drake's question breaking her out of her thoughts, she answered. "Yep, still going to the zoo. What's you favorite animal?" she asked conversationally. Pointing vaguely to the various signs with the multiple animals this zoo has to show.

XD But all your characters look great. =3 All I have are dark characters, so I should be good. XD I just got to decide who exactly to bring in. ... Especially since I have more males than females. >.>))
Drake smiled faintly. He was glad that Leah still wanted to hangout with him after what had just happened. He kept following her towards the zoo, grinning when he saw it just ahead of them in view. He did notice that the snow was starting to fall more heavily, but Drake paid in no attention.
"Probably a leopard. I love leopards. What's your favorite animal?" Plus, Drake hated dogs or anything canine, but loved cats. Especially big cats. Those were always his favorite thing to see at the zoo... Although now that Drake thought about it, he realized he had never been to a zoo. Not that he could remember. "Wait, they have leopards at zoo, right?" Drake asked.

Charolotte giggled at Dakota's outrage, shaking her head and returning the book to the shelf. "You and your stupid rules," she snickered, starting to move through the rows again. She hummed quietly, pausing only to glance across a cover or quickly through the pages, sampling all the possible choices. Charlotte loved secondhand bookstores merely for the fact that you never knew what you would get.
She loved finding books that were already written in, with dog ears and worn covers. She loved seeing books that were read multiple times, that were well loved. She loved the feeling of new books, however, to be able to mark as her own. To crease the spines where she wanted and mark her own significant phrases. Charlie loved books, because to her they were like an adventure; they would lead you to find something new, whether that was knowledge about the topic of the book, or knowledge about yourself gained from response.
