{ I think Beetlestripe and Mousepaw would be a good pair? Pairing up opposites to learn from each other. }

Ferntuft stretched, lightly kicking Brackenfoot in the shoulder as he did so. His brother let out a grunt and simply curled his tail over his muzzle and continued to sleep. Ferntuft got to his paws and padded over his sleeping clan-mates, making sure not to step on anybody's ear. Once he was at a reasonable distance he shook out his fur and let out an unnecessarily loud yawn.
Mousepaw was at the edge of camp, pawing at a rock, rolling it back and fourth between her paws, creating streaks of dirt along her front legs. As she did so she looked about, observing her clan-mates. She felt rather antsy today, like there was something she should be doing that she wasn't. It hadn't been very many dawns since she had been made an Apprentice, and she was already a nervous and clumsy mess even though she was only doing simple things.

Ferntuft nodded in agreement, "If someone sets up a patrol let them know I'm coming along," he tells the tom-cat. "Don't wanna get lazy now," he mutters, half to himself and half to Newtbee. He swiped his tongue over his paws a few times, stroking over his muzzle and whiskers for a quick groom.

Frosteyes spared a glance towards the broken tom. He had thought the rogue was a simple kit thief. This made more sense. The tom probably recognized the little kit as his own and thought he could raise her. A foolish thought with the cold season coming. Satisfied with his conclusion, the warrior simply walked on and into camp. He was thankful for the clan’s slow start. Too many cats would ask too many questions he didn’t want to answer. Sadly, there were still some awake. He didn’t answer Newtbee’s question. His ears flicking back were the only sign he had heard. His mind was focused on getting the kits back to their mother. She should be the first one to mourn. He set the body outside the makeshift den and told Echokit, “Go get your mother.” The tom’s voice was steady, but held a sour note. He wouldn’t like doing this but he felt it was now his responsibility.

{xD I don't have classes today just exams on Wednesday and Thursday.}
Wolftalon laid curled in a ball with his head on his paws. He was exhausted both mentally and physically but he couldn't sleep. Instead he laid there watching the clan about their business. There was so much that needed to be done before he would be able to feel at ease again. There was still much that was was unknown about the territory at the moment. There are so many possibilities of danger. And the camp, it was nowhere near being completed. The only den was a temporary shelter for the elders, queens, and kits. "Ugh" He groaned as he rolled his eyes.

Snowberry nudged Melodyheart awake, "Do you want to share some prey with me?" She questioned her den-mate. Nowadays in her old age, the most she did is walk to the fresh kill pile or find a warm spot to sun herself. She figured that to save prey for the rest of the Clan, her and her den-mate may as well share prey. "I think there's something fresh on the pile," she licked her fangs thinking about it.

Melodyheart grunted as she was pushed out of her dreams. She woke ready to scold whoever had disturbed her. However, when she saw that the offender was her den-mate, her protests died on her tongue. Snowberry and Greyfoot had each other just moons ago to entertain each other. With his death and the fire, well, it had shaken everyone and left Snowberry alone. "You shouldn't wake an old she-cat, you know. Brings bad luck." She said as she slowly rose. She resisted the urge to let out a sigh once she managed to gather the strength to stand. "I don't want anything with feathers." She told Snowberry as they made their way to the pile.

Rockpath approached the leader. Her pawsteps were one of a hunter's. Quiet and careful not to spook her prey. The deputy knew Wolftalon wasn't in the best of minds, not after the death of her. Thankfully, Wolftalon rose up to become leader. However, he still wasn't quite there. The tom hadn't even taken a true leader's name. Frankly, she wouldn't be surprised if Wolftalon would leave one night. "Wolftalon." She said to get the attention of the tom. "Do you want to patrol or would you rather dig?" She knew the clan needed to see their leader exploring the territory, yet she wasn't going to push him.

"Hmm?"Wolftalon perked his ears as he lifted his head. "Oh"He paused. "I suppose I could go for a walk." He answered pushing himself to his paws. The tom didn't really want to go but he couldn't very well mope around all day and he wasn't likely to get sleep anyways. "Who is going with us?" he asked as he stretched his paws out in front of him and then let out a yawn. "And where did you have in mind?" Wolftalon asked

Rockpath was a bit thrown off by the leader adding her to the patrol, but she didn't object. She would just have to assign some cats to tell others to start digging or get ready for another patrol. It would be fine, she told herself. "Deeper into the forest. I heard a river yesterday and want to see if any fish. They aren't the best prey, but umm...we really can't be picky." She said with a sad chuckle.

Rivermind yawned, just having woken up from a nap. She stretched in her nest, shook the moss off her pelt, and walked out, her grey pelt catching some of the light. "Today seems like a good day." She blurted out loud.

Snowberry purred in laughter beside Melodyheart, appreciating the older she-cat's grumpy ways. "Crow it is." She joked as they padded up to the fresh kill pile. She stuck her nose close to the prey, unable to see it so clearly, and nosed her way around to a warm squirrel that looked about enough for them. "How 'bout this?" She asked, though she interrupted herself nonetheless, "never-mind you, we're eating this juicy squirrel," she decided and nosed the prey over to Melodyheart. Snowberry felt that what all her clan-mates needed right now was compassion and friendship, and she was going to deliver that even if only to the black furred ball that slept next to her.
