(I am so sorry for not being active the last couple of days! I've been really busy at work! But I have the rest of the week off, so I will be on more.)
Silvernight trotted after her Clanmates as they hunted, scenting the air for prey. “I smell mouse!” She hissed to her Clanmates, and scanned the area until she saw a tuft of grass rustling. “Over there,” she murmured, flicking her tail toward where she thought the mouse was.
Silentwind purred in amusement and looked down at his apprentice. “O-of course. Y-you need to kn-know how to sort them y-yourself someday. M-might as w-well try n-now.”

Sunpaw flicked his tail in annoyance at the retort. “I missed one bird! Now you’re never going to let me live it down, are you?”. Violetpaw laughed, briefly pressing her silver pelt against Sunpaw’s golden fur to mean she was kidding. “Never.” She shook her head, trotting to the camp entrance. “Do you want to go hunting?” She asked, her paws twitching. She wanted to get out! “There’s not a lot of prey left.” Sunpaw kneaded the ground uncertainly. "Should we leave camp without our mentors?" He meowed uncertainly. "I wouldn't want us to get in trouble for leaving camp without permission. He looked at Violetpaw, then shook his head. "Yeah, let's go," he decided.

He appreciated that Spottedpelt was listening intently. It made him feel better about spilling information about Firepaw and Rosepaw. He shrugged at her compliment. “Any cat would’ve done it.” Stormclaw responded. “It seems like we have a little in common,” he added giving her a sideways smile. He knew how much it must hurt talking about her parents, he felt the same way. Not so much hurt though, more like anger. But he kept his cool and didn’t let anyone see that side of him.

Ferntuft couldn't see anyone looking like they were headed out so he decided to scout them out himself. He flicked his tail over Firepaw's ear in a friendly manner, "you wait right here," he said to his apprentice, and with that he took a walk around the camp for someone he didn't feel so inferior to that would be able to help him at the same time if he was messing up his training. His eyes locked on the grayish-blue pelt of Nimblerain, a cat he found to be stern but also rather intelligent. He quickly made his way over to her, "Hello Nimblerain, are you possibly up for taking Rosepaw out for training with my apprentice? I thought it might be good for them to train together once in a while," he explained, hoping that his reasoning sounded good enough for the she-cat.

Spottedpelt smiled, although kept her eyes on the ground, too shy to make eye contact again, "Well, um, I know you don't have any siblings so.... so if you ever..." she flicked her gaze up at him for a moment, her eyes kind and almost sad, before quickly looking back at the ground again, "If you ever... you know, feel a bit lonely... well... you know I'm here for you..." she murmered shyly, almost too quiet to hear, stumbling over her words. She wasn't used to cats confiding in her; while she was a great listener, often she was too quiet and shy for other cats. But Stormclaw seemed... different?

[ It is a work in progress plot. It would be fun to do since it's a major yet more of background plot since it wouldn't affect clan roleplay until like 5 of their clanmates are missing without a word. Then I would assume the clan would start to panic some more. xD
Hmm. Sterilisation would be interesting. It doesn't have to be a realistic program since this is just a fictional plot. I was thinking more like they were trying to tame the clan cats and make them into house cats kinda deal, although it could be a mix of things.
I am not sure how they would stop the twolegs. I haven't thought that far ahead yet. ^^; Maybe the twolegs decided that they did all that they could do and the clan is left alone after a few moons of terror.
But it will be awhile before the plot starts. I probably wait to start the plot until page 20 or sometime in January, so the clan gets more settled and people can roleplay some more. ]

Jaypaw, Rosepaw, and Briarpaw / setting: forest / firestorm35 and ashfeather Jaypaw padded through the forest in the direction of the town. The tom's gaze flickered around the trees and his stomach rumbled on the thought of eating. He should have eaten before Rosepaw and Briarpaw thought about going on their adventure. Jaypaw shrugged his shoulders and slowly nodded, "I went there once with my mentor when I first became an apprentice," he meowed, wrinkling his nose. He glanced at Briarpaw and Rosepaw, "It was stinky," he sighed, not having fond memories of the town. There were so many different smells. It was overwhelming.
Cherrysplash and Cloudheart /ashfeather Cherrysplash pushed herself to her paws once she drank her fill. She shot Cloudheart a grin and shook her head, "I guess you were too fast for me this time," she laughed. She shifted on her paws before splashing into the stream. They were here to swim. She paused once the wate reached her stomach and she turned to look at Cloudheart, swishing her tail. "Are you coming in or are you too chicken?" she chuckled.
Mossystar and Eaglestrike / ashfeather Mossystar flickered her tail, everyone had the ability to be a leader, whether they would choose to make the right decisions in their ambition was up to them. "It does require some determination," she mused with a small laugh. She smiled, feeling warmth spread from her ears at the tom's offhandish compliment. She wasn't blind to the fact that she was a good leader, although it was nice to hear every once and in awhile. Mossystar nodded, "Respect is important," she agreed and went to add, "The deputy before me wasn't well liked at all." He was a bit of brute and wasn't good at organizing the patrols.
Raggedfinch, Sandflame, Adderstrike, and Silvernight / @pinacolada and 𝔯𝔞𝔟𝔟𝔦𝔱𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱 Raggedfinch shifted on his paws as he watched for Sandflame to the join the patrol again. He nodded with a small laugh, "Good, I wasn't sure if you really wanted the patrol to split up," he joked as he padded towards the meadow. He was looking forward to hunting there, he knew the mice were running well.

She held her body close to the ground, carefully placing one paw at a time and being careful to avoid any leaves or sticks, her blue eyes focused on a small body near the edge of the meadow: a brown squirrel.

[ Yeah the plot will be fun to do I reckon, sounds interesting seeing how all the cats will react hahaha ]
Jaypaw's relatively negative comments didn't put a damper on Briarpaw's spirits - she couldn't wait to see what the town was like, even if it was stinky like he said. Her eyes remained bright and alert, although as they started getting closer to town, they constantly darted around the trees surrounding them, keeping an eye out for any unanticipated dangers, "At least one of us knows what it's like there though." she piped up.
Cloudheart grinned right back at the she-cat, "You obviously don't know who you're dealing with." he laughed, before launching himself into a deeper part of the stream, sending splashes of water in all directions - including over her. His head popped up a second or two later, his powerful legs kicking to propel himself to a shallow section where he could stand.
Eaglestrike nodded, briefly remembering the tom cat, "You made a good choice in picking Sandflame to be deputy; she's a tough one." he added. Letting them sit in silence for a moment, enjoying the sounds of nature around them, he then turned to the leader and asked, "Do you ever find it difficult? Being leader? Or does it just come naturally to you?"

Stormchaser slowly placed a paw down. The tom knew one misstep would cost him his prey. Unlike his clanmates, his white fur stood stark against the green and brown hues of the meadow. The long grass was the only thing cloaking himself from his prey. One snap of a stick or crunch of a leaf would mean no prey to go back with and he wasn't about to go back to camp empty pawed. He froze when the creature lifted it's head. A couple of tail twitches and the rodent was back to nibbling. Now. He knew he had to go now. StarClan wouldn't give him another chance. The tom surged forward. He swiped at the creatures head to find his claws meeting air. A bushy tail was disappearing into the tall grass when he looked up. Stormchaser growled and dashed after the creature, unwittingly leading it to his clanmate.

Ashfeather's eyes widened in surprise as a streak of white leapt out from the grass, headed straight for her squirrel. She quickly recovered her composure though, realising the squirrel was heading straight towards her, leaning back on her hind legs to wait for the perfect opportunity to strike. The white cat - Stormchaser, by the looks of it - drove the squirrel closer... and closer... - Now. She shot forward, pouncing on the unsuspecting prey and delivering the killing blow within seconds, bowing her head briefly to give thanks to Starclan.

Stormchaser scrambled to a stop, almost falling over. He stood silently breathing heavy for a few seconds. His mind was working over time to piece together what had happening. To him, it seemed like the she-cat appeared out of the shadows and caught his, or was it her, squirrel. His blue eyes jumped from Ashfeather to the squirrel. Technically, he had stalked to the squirrel and chased it, yet she was the one how had caught it. His tail lashed as uncertainty washed over his body. His mouth decided to work before his mind. "Thank for helping catch the squirrel." He said, adding a smile for good will. He didn't want to give up the squirrel, but knew she had played a vital role.

Ashfeather's eyes darted up to meet his, the squirrel still hanging from her jaws. Her eyes narrowing at his humble thanks, she placed her prey on the ground, "Mm, no thanks to you." she muttered with some hostility, loud enough for him to hear and adding a small roll of her eyes for good measure. Her body remained still except for the slight twitching of her tail, signalling her annoyance. Thank Starclan the squirrel had run towards her and not away from the both of them - Stormchaser hadn't exactly been on the verge of catching it anytime soon, in her opinion anyway.

Stormchaser's tail twitched, the only sign of his spike of irritation. Yet, he contained it. Fighting with clanmates was a big no-no in his mind and he wouldn't resort to such a thing. Instead, he would smile and try to reason with her. "Well, not solely thanks to me. You helped a great deal with catching the rodent." He said as politely as possible. A tinge of annoyance was laced in his voice.

Ashfeather twitched her whiskers in confusion - what was he going on about? Did he not hear her correctly? She wasn't used to cats being this... polite to her - and she wasn't really sure what she thought about it. Tearing herself from her thoughts, she cleared the confusion from her face and responded with her regular cold attitude, "If it weren't for me this rodent would be up a tree right now," she replied cooly, "I'm confused as to where you helped with this catch?" she added, sarcasm lacing her tongue.

The she-cat's words seemed like burrs. They dug into his fur and make him flitch back. He started to doubt that he had done anything. His tail curled inwards towards his body. Then, he told himself to stand up and explain himself. He had obviously done work. She must have not realized that he had been the one chasing the prey. His body relaxed once again. "I chased the squirrel towards you." He said, making himself sound more solid. It did occur to him that Ashfeather may just be an unfriendly type who wanted to take credit. A spark of anger flared with this thought, so he shoved it away. He shouldn't assume the worst of his clanmates.

ashfeatherThe young tom shrugged his shoulders as they neared the town. "It can be a fun place," he meowed, an excitement flicker appearing in his eyes. He was excited to go into town, although he was wary. Jaypaw hoped they didn't run into any trouble while they were there. "Do you guys have anywhere we want to go once we get there?" he asked. Jaypaw padded closer to one of the white fences, sniffing at it curiously.
"Oh really," Cherrysplash teased before shooting Cloudheart a happy grin. She let out a laugh as the tom jumped into the stream. She enjoyed the water. She splashed deeper into the stream, kicking off from the shallow part to swim in circles before splashing back into the shallows. "This is nice," she purred, not minding the feeling of her fur being water-soaked.
Mossystar nodded and smiled, her eyes brightening at the mention of Sandflame. "Yes," she purred, pleased with how well her friend took to the job of deputy. "She is doing a wonderful in her role," she meowed. The dark brown she-cat curled her tail around her paws and bent her head to lick her chest. There was a tuft of her fur sticking up. Mossystar glanced back at the tom. She thought over the question and frowning for a moment in concentration, "It is was hard at first," she meowed in a soft voice, remembering when Stormstar first died, she wasn't sure how to be a leader. She was used to her role as the deputy and it was a struggle at first. "Being leader isn't like being deputy, there are a few more responsibilities," she meowed, she was the one who told Sandflame if she wanted the town to be surveyed or the warriors would come to her if there was a rise in the badger population. She also needed to check in with Silentwind and Starclan every moon. Being leader was also lonely in the emotional state as well, sometimes she felt like her clanmates were wary to approach her to talk.

Ashfeather almost smiled at the tom's determination to defend his mistake - he stood his own ground, and she couldn't help but admire that, despite how overly nice he seemed to be. She gave a small sigh, knowing he wouldn't let up. "Well the important thing is that we caught the squirrel in the end and it's not hiding in a tree right now." she said, almost wincing at her use of the word 'we', "Maybe next time roll in some dirt though to camouflage your pelt?" she added, trying not to sound condescending, though her tone was still relatively cold - she couldn't help who she was, after all.

His fur twitched at the mention of it's color. It was a common problem others seemed to want to fix. Everyone had ideas of how he could change color or move. Really, it was something he didn't have a problem with. The squirrel noticed him because he was too slow and timed his charge wrong. That was all. Or that is what he told himself. Admittedly, he did bring back less prey than the dark pelted warriors. It was hard to keep telling himself they all were better hunters than him. So, he made every piece count. He kept count of how much he brought back versus how much they did. "It would take forever to wash out." He said with a shrug and grin as if he hadn't heard the same solution a million times. "Are you going to hunt around more?" He asked. If he wanted to bring back a normal amount of prey, he would have to work harder than this.
