- - { hello, this is...completely expected. as you can see, this is a plot shop, of sorts; i do the plots, you choose what you like best, and so on. of course, i'm open to plot suggestions, too!
i'll state this first, however. i am slow at responding, and i can take up to a week to respond; if i've owed someone else a response for longer than i've owed you a response, then i will do theirs first! i try to go in date order (though sometimes i go in interest order). i apologise beforehand for this! i'm trying to get better with muse & writing on a more regular basis, and this means i am trying to start replying to people more regularly. patience is appreciated, and you really don't need to worry about a lack of reply unless it's been over seven days.
as for reply length, i can vary. i tend to mirror, but my average length nowadays is from 3 paragraphs and above. if you give me a novel-length post, then i will try to reply with the same! i enjoy lengthier posts but only if there's material to work with in it; if it's a novel-length reply with barely three lines to reply to at the very bottom, then i may struggle to reply. i'd class myself as semi-advanced, or somewhere around there.
my characters will always be 18+, too, as i'm over 18 and as such, i don't enjoy roleplaying younger characters. if the plot's interesting enough then i might be persuaded to, but...well. that's dependent on plot entirely.
my favoured genres are crime, supernatural, and fantasy.
i don't tend to enjoy slice-of-life too much, but similar to age, i can be swayed depending on the plot.
i will not do something that's solely based from romance; i prefer substance to my plot rather than the entire goal of it being "a loves b, will they get together?" even if i'm a sucker for soulmate plots. this is not to say that i won't do romance; you just have to ask. i'll roleplay all pairings, but note that if you want to do mxf with me i tend to prefer roleplaying a woman.
my plots:
"forget the horror here / leave it all down here / it's future rust and it's future dust." - spanish sahara, foals.
set in modern times, crime-focus.
sure, muse a is a criminal. they're a small-time gang leader; they control a small portion of the city, they're rivals with another gang, and so on. it's (not quite) harmless young adult stuff, the type of thing that keeps them out of big-time trouble. the police dislike them, sure, but they're not a murderer. someone, however, has framed them for a murder that they have not committed; and so, in desperate times, they're forced to seek out muse b; the rival gang leader.
there are few reasons muse b has to help muse a. they're not friends (though, in a different time, perhaps they could've been) and they're not allies, but there's something tempting about having muse a be stuck in their debt. with some reluctance, they allow muse a to crash at theirs and promise to help clear their name. of course, the catch is that muse a will owe something at one point or another - it's just a matter of when muse b decides to cash in the favour.
(the case, however, might be bigger than both of them and their gangs; perhaps even dipping into the territory of dangerous criminals; the sorts that keep even them up at night.)
preference for muse b - but this is flexible.

"this song, it spells disaster / but it's buried beneath the laughter." - the road to nowhere, radical face.
set in the golden age of piracy (1600s-1700s), adventure-focus.
there was never anything particularly interesting about muse a. they were born into riches, and as any good, rebellious child would do, they joined a pirate ship! why not? adventure is all they've been about; and now that they're an adult, they're a captain. it's something new and interesting, different to what they're used to; they're handling it fairly well, though.
that's until their ship enters a place known as the forbidden; a place where sailors go to die. they didn't mean to end up there, but their ship was thrown off-course and it was one of the only routes available to them - which gave them two choices: a route that would certainly kill them, or a route that might kill them. naturally, they chose the one that might.
muse b is part of the merfolk. with a sea creature's tail and a human-like upper half, they're just like the human fairy tales. their breed is a dying one, their people are long gone; they are alone in this part of the ocean, but that does not make them any less fearsome. hungry and annoyed at these strangers trespassing into their waters, muse b decides to scare the sailors a little - they bump against the boat, and they try to get their attention. muse a, not wishing their boat to capsize (or worse), takes a smaller boat and decides to investigate.
muse a, of course, does not expect muse b to be the cause of the problem, for they have never believed in fairy tales. perhaps an unlikely friendship is formed - who knows?
no muse preference.

"this guilt machine / it winds me up and haunts my dreams / it fuels / it breeds / it feeds upon my self-esteem." inside, warmer.
set in modern times, supernatural-focus.
there is a distinct difference between born werewolves and turned werewolves. muse a is a part of the latter; turned into a beast, with no pack. they're new to this and confused, not quite sure how to control their shifts, not quite sure how to temper their appetite. it hurts and it's scary - who wouldn't be scared by being turned into a werewolf? it's one of those things that only happens in stories.
muse b, on the other hand, was born a werewolf. they have control over their hunger and their form, can handle a full moon; they have a pack, they have a home, and they have never had to suffer with the effects of the change.
the two meet the day after a full moon, while muse a is stuck in the forest, unsure of where they came from or where they should go, their body covered in blood from whatever they managed to kill. it's scary, to not have memories of what they've done. muse b, with some sympathy, offers to take muse a to their cabin; the latter reluctantly agrees if only to wash themselves off. they explain the situation and, curious, muse b decides to question them further and try to fill them in on what's happened.
preference for muse b - this is flexible.

"a wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning." - wolf in sheep's clothing, set it off.
set in a fantasy medieval time, drama focus.
two kingdoms at war sound like the average thing - and in some ways, it is. muse a is the crown heir of the winning kingdom, Azentia. their father, the king, is dying and it will soon be their turn to rule...but they want the war to be over so that their father is remembered. they decide they want to infiltrate the enemy kingdom; but not using their army. instead, they decide to go personally, disguising themselves as a new servant.
muse b has been recently crowned the ruling royal of Ruri, the losing kingdom. they're tired and unsure of what to do, they've been left with a poor kingdom that cannot unite.
they meet in the royal gardens, muse a working as they settle into the strangeness of not being recognised and respected, muse b trying to find some quiet time. playing the part of a concerned servant, muse a starts up a conversation - and so it goes.
this is a very open-ended plot and can go various ways, including adventure options among others.
no muse preference
