Maloch --> Maverick { Fire on Cloud Nine }
March was tempted to say something sarcastic. Maybe tell the son of Hades he was going on a fishing trip, or a nice little sail around the island. But he had bigger fish to fry, figuratively, and pissing off Maverick might only cause him problems that he didn't feel like dealing with. Being petty could turn him against March, potentially, and he was trying his best to steal the boat under the distraction caused by the princes and princesses arriving from Auradon. He didn't want to screw that up.
"A little project." He finally admitted, shrugging and turning back to try tugging the boat out of the water. It wasn't exactly in sailing shape, and it wasn't a horribly heavy craft, so it'd honestly be easier to pick it up and drag it to a more...private place on the Isle.
Then, he had a stroke of genius.
At least, he hoped so.
"Say, Maverick, how good are you with boats?"
March had no idea what a son of an Underworld god would know about boats, but it was worth a shot. This wasn't revealing his whole intention, after all, and if Maverick was in, then he was in. Quite honestly, pissing Maverick off wouldn't really do much. He might have no enemies, but he had no friends, or even acquaintances. Really just no one, and he wasn't going to do anything himself, he didn't care. Not to mention he wasn't easily pissed off unless someone went after his family. Even then he always delt with it himself. In short, he couldn't, and didn't want to cause any trouble with anyone. Which made him raise his eyebrows in surprise when he asked him if he had any experience with boats. See he was often in control when he knew who he was talking to, and how the conversation would go. When it diverted from what he expected, he got flustered. "I...uh...I guess, sort of," he said with a frown. He had some experience with boats from his free time cause he wasn't at war with the other gangs, but not much. "W-why?" He asked. He rather wants do know why before her made him do anything.

Adelaide—
As the other girl commented on her craftsmenship a grin threatened to push the scowl off her face. The girl lived for compliments especially towards herself. “Thanks. I made her myself.” Something she didn’t boast often, which was extremely out of character for her. Adelaide shrugged a little and tried to brush the topic off to return to the more important one. Herself. “Well I suppose I can live with that excuse for now.” Addie watched as she dug her precious blade from the bush. Using her dagger she pulled back and tossed the blade right for the tree, it slamming into the bark, splintering the wood around the metal blade.
A smile spread across her face proudly as she went to retrieve her knife. “I suppose this means I’ll just have to spend time with you so you can learn to adore me just like everyone else.” The girl smirked a little at her plan. She didn’t take no lightly and would never settle for anything less than a yes. Walking back she placed a hand on her hip. She didn’t wait for Harley to go before throwing her dagger again, it landed directly beside the previous cut, making an upside down V marking in the wood.“I know your brother. He’s kinda cute. Not much my type. “ Which was saying something considering her type just meant breathing. OOC Text
IC Harley watched as the dagger flew past and hit the tree. She would admit that it was impressive. Her own aim wasn’t quite on point. If she got embarrassed over being outdone in something so simple, she might have tried harder. But Harley didn’t much care for throwing knives at trees. Perhaps it was simply because she found most “small” things too simple for her, below her even.
Once she made it back to her spot by Addie, she got ready to throw the dagger again. “Yeah? Maverick’s too good for you anyways,” she said, not sounding protective or really, anything. Her tone has an emotionless tang to it. “What I mean by that is that no one on this Isle deserves him, and also, he’s literally too good for anyone here,” Harley added, throwing the dagger. It hit the tree this time, but didn’t stick and ended up falling to the ground.
Harley did care for her brother, which was probably why she didn’t believe anyone here deserved him. But she still couldn’t say she understood how he could be so...so unlike the rest of them that it’s hard to even call him a villain’s kid. It was exasperating and a little annoying, if she was being honest.
As she went to go grab the dagger again, Harley leaned down to pick it up. “Out of curiosity, what is your type, then?” She asked without looking back to her, instead she just grabbed the dagger and began to walk back.

Adelaide --
The girl scoffs softly at the comment of Maverick being too good for her. She narrowed her eyes a little, tempted to throw the dagger right at her again, but part of her wasn't sure she'd miss her on purpose again. Clenching her fists she calmed herself down and brushes the emotions off. Maverick wasn't worth gaining wrinkles over. "He isn't much of a villain. If he isn't careful he is going to get himself hurt." Her voice was laced with a hint of bitterness, but not malice. It wasn't a threat, more of a fact. Maverick wasn't like the rest of them. He didn't do the villain thing as well as a lot of the others, especially not her. She is a great villain.
Addie watched the dagger fall from the tree, "You're improving." Probably the closest she could get to a compliment that wasn't about herself. The only person she ever complimented was her father. A practice he had ingrained into her life. As the girl questioned her type, the charming smile found itself back on her lips as she moved closer to Harley. "You're my type goddess." She winked and threw the dagger again, completing the pattern by making a capital A in the wood. She walked over and pulled the dagger from the tree and brushed away a few pieces of bark and wood splinters.
Walking back she turned to Harley, "Everyone is my type Harley. As if you don't already know that." She commented, thinking everyone cared, or knew about her life, because why wouldn't they. Adelaide shrugs a little, "Girls, boys, women, men. I don't hold a preference. Though I do have a soft spot for evil and beauty." A smirk tugged onto her lips. "Though no one can compare to me."

OOC Maybe you could sleep once you were done with your homework?
IC Harley gave a simple shrug at the comment about her brother. She was fairly relaxed when it came to most things. Relaxed and annoyed at the same time. Maverick could end up hurt, she wouldn’t deny that. However if he did, she was going to show whoever hurt him, just what an angry goddess could do. “I didn’t know that, actually,” Harley stated in a very matter of fact way. “This may come as a shock to you, but I don’t usually care about everyone else’s lives, and I know I haven’t ever bothered wondering anything about a tavern’s owner’s daughter,” she explained, not cruelly or to hurt the girl, but just to tell it as it was.
Caring about anyone on this Isle was just, beneath her, and Harley really couldn’t bring herself to care. “I’d be careful, you’re beginning to sound like the Grimhilde triplets,” Harley added, glancing over at Adelaide. Now, those were three people who refused to be ignored. Harley found them to be annoying little pests. “Why are so many people here, so obsessed over looks anyways?” She added, muttering that mostly to herself.

(I wish, but my homework feels like it's never ending)
Adelaide --
Frowning she turned away from the girl and threw the dagger again, making it land about an inch to the right. She walked over and yanked the blade from the wood with a bit more force than necessary. "Never compare me to them." The girl was clearly angry about the comparison. "I'm not nearly half as shallow and I can do more than make goo goo eyes at a mirror." Her grip tightened on the blade, her jewel eyes flaming in emotion.
The girl definitely had her father's temper. Something doesn't go her way? Anger, tantrum, murdering, or worse. Adelaide turned away from her again, trying to calm herself down before she buried her blade too deep into the wood that she couldn't pry it out. "It's all we have Harley." She muttered, a sadness in her eyes. "We are trapped here. No magic. No powers. No glory. Thrown away like trash. So I'm sorry we have nothing else to worry about beside our appearances. And I'm sorry it bores you and irritates you at the same time."
"Not all of our parents are gods. As you love to rub in my face my father is just a tavern owner. That's nothing special and even if magic was allowed, we still wouldn't have any. So maybe you should walk a day as a nobody and have Gaston for a father. You wouldn't look down on me half as much." Adelaide snaps, showing a little more than she meant to to Harley. She didn't open up often, or really show an actual emotion. She cared for more than her looks, but she had an image to uphold. She was Gaston's daughter. Yet again another child living under a parents thumb, molded to be just like them. "We aren't all shallow." She mutters, more to herself than the other girl.

IC Taken back by the emotion thrown into that little vent of hers, Harley just took a moment to watch. This did tend to happen sometimes, Harley would say something, not really thinking about it before she said it, as she had no filter from thought to word, and then someone got offended. Harley really did need to learn to watch her tongue. She would have to be a little more aware of that, really.
Once it seemed like Adelaide had finished, Harley took the opportunity to walk up to her, making sure she kept to her little personal space bubble. “...Sorry, I didn’t mean to insult you. I’m not very aware of what I say,” she apologized, which felt weird on her tongue. “I didn’t mean to imply you were shallow. Though that is how most everyone here acts-“ dial it back Harley, that doesn’t sound much like an apology.
“The point is, I’m sorry. I don’t know what it’s like to be so beneath-“ Harley, be nice. “A commoner, and, for whatever it’s worth, you’re a lot more talented than the Grimhilde triplets,” she offered, holding the extra dagger out to her, nodding her head to it slightly. “It really is incredible craftsmanship,” she complimented. For Harley, talents and depth were so incredibly more important than looks, so for her, this was high praise.

Adelaide--
The girl chewed on the inside of her cheek as the goddess attempted to apologize. For Harley that didn't seem like she did it often and Adelaide could tell she was trying. Huffing a little she shrugged, "We're fine as long as you never compare me to the triplets ever again." The girl didn't like to hold onto fights, whereas her father could hold a grudge permanently.
Adelaide ran her fingers through the bottom of her hair. "Just don't tell anyone about it. My father wouldn't approve. I'm just supposed to be pretty and smart enough to take over the tavern one day. Says I have to know how to defend it." She frowned at the idea of being trapped in her father's tavern, forced to marry someone one day. Maybe that's why she acts this way. One day she knows she is going to be trapped by a person of her father's choice, probably some man, and then she would never get to be free and sleep with whoever.
The girl tossed her dagger into the tree again, "He's going to marry me off. A pretty little bride." She scoffs and goes to get her dagger. "I'm going to be a horrible bride. I don't do the whole little wife thing. I'm nothing like my mother. I'd go crazy being stuck at home feeding children and cleaning. Don't even get me started on dishes." She lifts her hands for emphasis. "These hands were made for evil, not scrubbing pots and pans."

OOC Harley to Addie
IC Once the apology was accepted, and as far as Harley was concerned, the topic dropped, she was ready to get back to throwing daggers or maybe going back to write in her book. But it seemed Addie had other plans, as the other girl continued to talk about her problems and Harley was forced to listen to something she couldn’t honestly say she cared about.
But she didn’t say that, this time being able to hold her tongue as she listened to Addie complain. Valid concerns of course, but Harley was having trouble figuring out how she could help or why she had to listen. Then, once it seemed Adelaide had finished, and lifted her hands into the air, Harley paused, and looked at them, and then, she snorted with laughter.
“Sorry-sorry, I’m just imagining it,” Harley explained, shaking her head. She probably shouldn’t be laughing. But it was funny to imagine Addie doing dishes and being compliant to anything this future husband of hers said. It was hard to imagine and that’s what made it so funny. “You don’t have to agree to that, you’re your own person,” she reminded once she had stopped laughing.
